Had an amazing breakfast here this morning. Very busy but food came out very quickly! Happy friendly staff and lovely relaxed fun environment. Would 100% recommend. Thanks for a great morning
We went to Farm House for the first time today for breakfast - Spanish beans with chorizo, poached eggs & Black ciabatta; breakfast gnocchi; poached eggs, bacon & sourdough. Delicious food, friendly fast service & great coffee. Great atmosphere too. Well done Farm House.
Our first time here and the service and food was outstanding! Coffee was perfect. They even have placemat chalk boards for the kids...my toddler was so happy! We got the crispy cheese potato cake, the breakfast gnocchi and the fruit toast. All were amazing! My toddler devoured the toast and then ate all my gnocchi. We will definitely be back, thankyou for the wonderful friendly service! Best breaky we’ve had in brissy for a long time! See you next weekend! Alexis
Love the story of this place, including the setting, food, friendly staff and extremely welcoming vibe. Will definitely be back here several times!
Took my friend got her birthday last week. Had seen the sign on side of gympie rd and both of us were curious so decided to go there instead of another cafe. What a lovely surprise!! Had lovely meal and pot of tea. Will definitely be back and only a few streets away!
Delicious food, stunning rustic atmosphere & friendly staff, 10/10 for me! I went with my mum & SIL & the food was so yummy, will be going back over & over! Well done!
Love the place, the foods and the teams who work here. Me and my partner really loves our breakfast. Defiantly our fav spot that close to home
We visited this cafe today. There was not one thing I could fault. The food was absolutely beautiful the coffee was very nice. Brilliant little hidden treasure.
👌not your typical breakfast ! Loved the healthy beetroot salad , avocado, labneh brunch bowl! Really friendly good feels place. It will be the new local for coffee as well!!
‘Mike’ aka Nick was fabulous ...he ensured we were seated within a reasonable timeframe and checked in throughout our brunch making sure our friends from the southside of Brisbane had an enjoyable experience. All meals were delicious. Drinks were great too although the orange juice was a disappointment. Thanks also for the great singing for our friend’s accolade. We are spreading the word and from 2 southsiders last week, today we brought 7! Cheers, Donna
With such lovely staff and a wholesome and innovative menu focussing on local produce, Farm House ticks lots of boxes. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast of gnocchi arrabiata with added poached egg, followed by the bread and butter one pan pudding with whipped ricotta. Insanely good.
Insanely good mushrooms 12/10 would come back just for those shrooms deary me. Halloumi also slaps like nothing else you ever had in your life. If you’re feeling like a high quality breakfast and are in the Northside this where you need to be for that. You definitely get what you pay for, 5 stars.
Hands down the best breakfast experience ive had. The morning salad was unique, healthy and tasty. The potato cakes, with added grilled corn, and the fruit frappes were also delicious. To top it off even though it was busy the service was impeccable... thinking of going back tomorrow
🔥⚠️HOT KEDRON CAFE ALERRRT⚠️🔥
Have you been here!⁉️ We checked out this hip northside cafe Farm House, Kedron located in the back streets of Kedron.. we're not going to lie we didnt even know this funky little cafe ♨️was here until finding them online❕ This cafe is set up away from the main road with access from the surrounding residential streets. Its got a very spacious, 🌿all-natural vibe to it, with alot of outdoor/indoor seating surrounded by plants and herb beds🌱🌾 (which we loved).
There are potato sacks decorating the walls inside which we found very creative! And for the days where your wanting a little cool down snack after lunch, the cafe is connected to Miss Sophia's Gelateria 🍧 The staff are very lovely and extremely polite and friendly. We would reccomend a visit if your looking for a new cafe to try on the northside✅
💬Our reccomendations💬
Would be to open up the menu to allow all options availble throughout the whole day as it is currently set to time frames with breakfast meals served only between 630am - 1145am and lunch noon-230pm. We mean its always nice to have the option of all day breakfasts!!📣

I recently had breakfast here and enjoyed what was called the produce bowl but in the menu above is the winter bowl. I think it was the same and it was sensational... super tasty and filling and great if you are trying to avoid the toast and meat heavy breaky. ( Which all looked great by the way) ... I will say I was not sure what farrow was but think they may have meant Farro... perhaps the menu writer might like to check on that... but otherwise... awesome coffee and service topped off a great experience.
Ordered from the Afternoon Sharing Menu. Had a group of 4 adults, 3 kids. No plates to share meals, no cutlery, no napkins - had to ask for all of this after things got messy. Chicken wings don't come with anything to place the bones in, used a water cup. Would have liked to receive the chips my burger was supposed to come with. On the positive, the many share meals we did receive were well flavoured and enjoyed by all.
Eat Drink And Be Kerry

Queensland Café of the Year, Farm House Kedron brings the country back to the burbs with quirky theming and farm to table food.
I’ve enjoyed breakfast at Farm House many times. It’s always a pleasure to eat the full-flavoured, farm-sourced food served with professionalism, even when things get hectic. Take a look here on a Sunday morning, and you’ll know what I mean by busy as there is often an extended queue of people waiting for a table.

Had a brief visit here on Anzac Day. Really enjoyed their vegan bowl, especially the dressing and the sourdough on the side. But the whole thing was a bit too greasy to my taste, other than that, everything else was great. Liked their warehouse/barn looking the whole place presented and organic decorations. The staff were friendly and the service was nice. We have gone there twice but didn’t go in the first time because of the length of the line. So if u want to give it a go, I recommend you go early, especially on the weekend.
Readers will know by now that as a southsider, I very rarely venture far up north, especially for breakfast, but when Adam had an invite to try out Farmhouse, a themed cafe up in Kedron, it piqued my curiosity and so I got up at the crack of dawn for the trek up north. . Arriving at 9.30, our table was set for us and the place was packed.
Love the Farm House. Consistently good food, great coffee, and lovely service. We've been there for breakfast, brunch, lunch and just a cheeky after school milkshake. Always happy. Can be a little pricier than other places though
An updated review: took three friends to Farm House for brunch and we were all blown away with the beautiful service, tastes and presentation of the food. My friend was suspicious on having a dirty chai, as the ratio of coffee and chai is difficult and she had had some very bad experience, however she thoroughly enjoyed the farm house dirty chai. The hot chocolates were okay, not the best. We had a complex and big order, yet the staff were not intimidated and completed our demands with ease. It was a lovely experience. Will come again soon (with the complementary coffee voucher by them!)
Beautiful farmhouse (ironically 😂) themed cafe, with lovely wood features and a lively kitchen in the middle of the cafe. The menu is seasonal, and has recently undergone a little update (spoilers: Reuben sandwich). We started with juice and the nector of the gods, ☕. And then we ordered, possibly too much... But so worth it ❤..This Ricotta Pan Hotcake is definitely up there with some of the best, up there with one I had in Melbourne at Higher Grounds. Thick, soft, moist, and covered with so many delicious goods ❤️. It is a lot to take on first thing in the morning 😂. That raspberry curd and peach syrup made it worth it.The Reuben, or as they put it Corned Beef & Rye Bread Toastie... Was magnificent. Compiled with fresh rye bread, juicy flavourful corned beef (classic 😍), house sauerkraut, swiss cheese, reuben dressing, and pickles it was a beast to hold. Each mouthful was just a treat. I'd eat the corned beef just by itself 👌..And Espresso went with her classic eggs on toast, with the addition of bacon, mushrooms, and avo. Perfectly cooking oozing eggs, and the mushrooms were marinated tasting really well. Also I managed to steal a piece of bacon... Winning 😂.
Love it! Do you ever wish sometimes you could keep a little secret breakfast place to your self. This is one of those places. Unfortunately it seems the whole of Brisbane has found out.
I have two small dogs and they seem to enjoy this as much as there owner. They are made more then welcome.
It’s those Sunday mornings when you don’t want to cook “maybe hungover” and you just wished you met a smiling face, that will provide you with good coffee and the melt in your mouth haloumi, with a great breakfast.
Let alone the old school thick shakes for the younger adults that are young at heart. Vanilla malt that brings out the best pulp fiction lines.
My only downer and I wish I didn’t have to say it is that it’s busy. Great for the owners, lol. I just always want to park and walk in and grab a great start to the day. Unfortunately it’s popular but worth the wait.
Probably one the best breakfasts I had in a while. I had the tomato bruschetta and it was amazing. Service was great. Can’t wait to go again.
Such a find in Chermside so glad to have found a cafe of this calibre so close to home. Such quick service on a public holiday. Staff were lovely will definitely be back ! 😀
Great coffee, great food and great service. My tip is to have whatever special is on offer as I have never been disappointed, the chefs are on point here.
This is a suburban gem with good food and decent coffee. Service is friendly but hit and miss (understaffed maybe?). The fish tacos are delicious although the beef ragu rigatone was a little bland and the ragu was lacking somewhat. Overall though a great find, and a nice touch is BYO for $1 per person.
Wow. What a place. Talk about little hidden gems, this one is Chermside’s hidden gem. Perhaps one of Brisbane’s finest? You wouldn’t expect to find this place wedged in between housing and apartments. When I first arrived, it was packed. Now I understand why. Service amazing, the workers were not stressed at all even though the place was packed to the rafters, the ambience amazing, and the food just wow.. They have blankets just in case you’re cold! It’s like a little warehouse turned into a stable with wooden tables and steel/wooden furniture. The Oakwood tables give it a touch of class. And the breakfast? Wow.. Speechless. I’m a happy camper off to go shopping! Well done Farm House. Definitely worth checking out
Read about this place in the Sunday Mail & decided a breakfast visit wss in order. Luckily we arrived early or we would have been waiting a while for a seat. We were seated almost instantly along with the pooch at a rustic chunky wooden table. The menu is simple & the food is rustic & flavorsome. Partners order was the house beans & chorizo, taste & spices all bang on & that black bread was delicious. I ordered a selection of three homemade salads from the cabinet. Generous serves & interesting combinations, in particular the cauliflower one did the magic for me along with that amazing coffee. Smooth rich & creamy with lingering tones. The hostess & waiters were a delight taking great care of all our needs, so a big thankyou
Sunday lunch with family. I didn't know this place existed but now that I know it may turn into my favourite lunch/ brunch haunt. The milk shakes are to died for... Huge range of flavours served in an old fashioned metal shake container with a paper (not plastic) straw. My shakes was so thick my cheeks were going to implode sucking so strongly. But enough about the drink....onto the food. We shared a chicken and coconut salad (desperate to get the recipe)... So yum and we also ordered a platter for two. Generous servings with both meals. The platter had a range of toasted breads, feta, pesto, chutney, range of cold meats including delicious thick cut bacon, boiled eggs, pickles, and cheese. Service was great and attentive. The only criticism was no aircon on a 34c day which made it a bit uncomfortable.
Been here a couple times and another top breakfast this morning!! This place has a super chill atmosphere and you’d have no idea you were a short stones throw away from Gympie road.
I love that dogs are welcome and seems it is certainly a local neighbourhood favourite.
We had the Pancakes and Breakfast Bruschetta which were lovely. Also had 2 fresh juices and coffees. ‘The Local’ juice is recommended :-) great coffee and friendly service round out the experience.
Top marks.
One of the best breakfasts I’ve had for a while. 4 of us dined and had different offerings and all of us had just a little bit of food envy of each other. The selections are a little bit more inventive than the average cafe which I love to see. Also had some fresh juices and coffees and everything was spot on. Will definitely be back!!
My friend and I recently enjoyed a very nice meal at Farm House. We shared two dishes including the breakfast gnocchi (I love that you can get gnocchi for breakfast) and the coconut and ricotta one pan hot cake. I found both to be delicious but my friend found the hot cake a little too tangy. I also ordered the QLD watermelon, pineapple and mint juice and, while pleasant, I found the mint to be a bit overpowering. However, my friend ordered the mango smoothie and it was delicious - tasted like creamy weis! I also really liked how spacious the seating was but with the Queensland heat it is a slight downside that it is primarily outdoors. I recommended this cafe to family members and they loved the charcoal ciabatta so I’m sure I will soon be back to try that!
Beautifully set up cafe in an industrial building in Kedron. Really nice outside atmosphere with lots of plants umbrellas, perfect on a hot sunny day. Really friendly service and fast considering it was busy. Coffee above average and so is the menu. I had the potato cake topped with bacon spinach and poached eggs and topped with hollandaise. Cooked perfectly although I suspect my potato cake was not as fresh as it should of been. Overall definitely worth a repeat visit.
Second visit - Feb 2019
I would prefer to give Farm House a 3.5 star rating because this time, a few things weren't great. I called to make a booking a few weeks earlier and when we arrived, they didn't have our booking or table set up. It was fine because we were able to seat ourselves at a spare table. Second, we placed our order and even after asking if avocado had been added to one breakfast, we were assured it had and it came without avocado. We were going to wait until wait staff passed us or delivered the rest of our meals but this never eventuated so my Dad just went without his avocado. Next, our meals were delivered very ad hoc - two of us waited over 40 minutes for our meals while the others got theirs within 15 minutes.
Food is still delicious, just need to tweak that service.

Came for a Monday brunch with my family and immediately loved Farmhouse Kedron. The industrial interior, rustic design and decor and open airy space was just great. Coffees were all delicious, something they really get right (which is super important!) and delicious juices/frappes. My Dad loved his pineapple juice - made with fresh pineapple, not tinned. My mint and pineapple frappe was SO good!
For breakfast my Dad and sister had the cheese and potato cakes and really enjoyed them. Mum had the ricotta hotcake and absolutely raved about it - the lemon syrup on top was gorgeous. I chose eggs with bacon, sourdough and added haloumi. It was all so well cooked and just delicious. My only complaint was they charge $2 to change from poached to scrambled eggs which I thought was a little rich. It made my breakfast quite expensive for what it was. Lucky it was delicious!
We all raved about this place and I would highly recommend it. A real neighbourhood gem with great service, lovely ambience, good coffee and excellent food.
Explored this cafe early in the morning. It’s large indoor and outdoor venue made me a bit of surprise. The whole cafe was probably converted from a warehouse because I found it provided very high ceiling with cosy vibe. Ordered a flat white and a Corned Beef & Cheese Roll. Service was very friendly and proficiency. It did not take long to have my coffee on the table. It looked great and taste good; however, one shot seemed to weak for me. Next to the table came the corned beef. It was nice prepared with planet of rockets, tomatoes, onions, cheese and corned beef. The ingredients were balanced in flavour; however the bread was just to hard in terms of its texture so I gave up the bread and just enjoyed the rest. Having said that I had no regret to order this Roll because the ingredients were really tasteful. Sorry, it was a bit of waste to give up the bread. Just a personal choice only.
My wife has been trying to go and eat healthy, so it was off to the farm house near chermside, just off the main road. There are a few parks on site, we had to circle a few times around the streets, but luckily we got a spot in front. Busy place before 9am.
We were handed menus and gave us time to browse. We waited 25 mins, and let's see if it was worth the weight.
Plenty of seating outside and inside.
It was counter service, so order and got a number. After waiting that long the food came out quickly. I ordered the free range eggs and bacon, while the wife ordered cauliflower and beet salad with coffees.
The food was nice, but portion size was a little small for the premium price. Was feeling hungry after our breakfast, but lucky were headed to Westfield after.
The service staff were friendly and service was good. They looked after us.
Our stomachs were rumbling one recent sunny day, so we headed out to try this new place. Service was fast and friendly and very efficient. We were impressed! 'Cos you know how rare it is to get great service these days. I chose the crispy cheese and potato cake with eggs, hollandaise and bacon. This one was a winner for me. The potato cake was a hearty little number (sorry the photo doesn't show more of it); the hollandaise was fresh, and the bacon was delightfully soft and tender, just the way I like it. Eggs were poached perfectly, and the potato cake was herby and fresh.
Mr P. is a pasta fiend so he had the breakfast gnocchi, which comes with arriabata sauce, spinach, parmesan and a poached egg. He said the sauce had enough chilli, and the egg was perfectly nice and runny. The gnocchi was fine, not too hard as sometimes happens in other eating places. So yes, a big tick from him.
This time I went for the crispy, white fish tacos with peanuts, cucumber and rice vermicelli. I could only eat 2 of the 3 tacos, and was very pleased by the efficiency of the waiter who offered to box the last one up for me to take home. I loved the softness of the tacos, and the crunch of the peanuts. The lime juice gave it extra flavour, as did the nam jim chilli sauce.
Had a great brunch here today. You unfortunately cannot book tables on weekends which is a shame, so we had a 15 minute wait. There is plenty of shade and groovy milk crates with fake grass cushioning though. Once seated we were taken through the import stuff by our waiter - location of the loos, where to get water and glasses, ordering at the counter. The menu is good and not too large. Our small group ordered the breakfast gnocchi and the ricotta pancake plus vatious coffees and fresh juices. The food is really great, big serves, fresh and locally sourced ingredients. It looks good and tastes even better. The breakfast gnocchi had a flavoursome tomato sauce with a touch of chilli and proper bacon. The gnocchi was excellent. The ricotta pancake looked pretty and tasted amazing! Homemade lemon curd and vanilla icecream really added something special to this big, light pancake. Coffees were good and the fresh juice was large and freshly made. Will definitely return.
Very nice and relax place for breakfast and brunch. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was beautiful and fresh and beautifully presented. I loved the crispy cheese and potato cake. I would have loved to take the herbs wagon home with me 😊
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I had the ricotta hotcake, which was delicious, but my partner and I both thought the breakfast gnocchi was quite bland. Otherwise, a really nice place for brunch.
Highly recommend this cafe! The food was super yummy and creative too! I was joyfully surprised by the dishes we ordered, the way they put them together, the quantity of the dishes and of course their taste.
The cafe is decorated pleasantly with a lot of greens and the seats are spacious and comfortable. I’ll come here again.
A caffeine must every time we're close by.
A delicious, not so secret establishment in suburbia.
Prices are well within the realms of what you'd pay for the quality received.
Staff are incredibly polite and welcoming irrespective of it always being so busy.
Even with the number of patrons being served every time I visit, the service time is fantastic.
What a lovely inner city cafe with indoor or outside seating. Friendly service and great food. We had the lamb salad and potato cake ♡ empty plates! It's licensed so a sneaky pinot with lunch, Pet friendly as well
From the time we were greeted, seated, ordered and served, the staff are outstanding.
The food is presented beautifully and tastes as good as it looks.
This place is setting the standard for quality and service.
Amanda and team - Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, amazing food, great range of beverages. We had breakfast on a Saturday, was very busy, but service was still great and food didn't take too long. Highly recommend.
Went here for brunch on a Thursday at about 12:30 and it was really busy. Got a table easily though which was great. I highly recommend the thick-shakes which are always incredible. Also got the pulled pork sandwich which was a tad bland and you must pay extra for chips. Have been here before and will be back again
Amazing food! Such a cute little venue for breaky or lunch. Friendly service and food came out quick, surprisingly busy and loud for such a small place! Loved it
Great brunch good was amazing definitely coming again. Gnocci and potato cake were especially tasty and the brioche French toast was a tasty sweet chaser to share.
