Love this hidden gem (with a courtyard) in the city. Great food and coffee and the staff very friendly.
Coffee Iconic is my favorite cafe in Brisbane (and possibly Australia)! The staff are incredibly efficient, attentive and always exceed my expectations. Being a barista myself and an avid bruncher, I'm a picky coffee snob with high expectations! The food and the coffee are always fresh and taste and look like ART!
It would be an amazing place to have dinner with friends, so I hope one day you guys open for dinner!
:)
This!! This is the sort of atmosphere I've been looking for in a cafe. Coffee and banana bread in a picturesque and quirky little garden, between old buildings in the city. Friendly service by the staff too, absolute legends! Hope your business sticks around for a long time to come.
Amazing food, the best coffee. Crew are the best āŗļø highly recommend. Doesn't feel like Brisbane . Courtyard is so peaceful. A little oasis in the city ā®
Amazing coffee and service! The food is top notch as well, good price, tasty and is presented beautifully. The garden in the back is a little gem and Is my favourite spot in the city to sit and relax.
Always great tasting coffee, remembers me by name and my coffee order! A must do when in Brisbane, or if youāre just looking for a new coffee shop - this is it!
David has done wonders transforming this place into a specialty coffee haven. It's a bit of an oasis in the middle of the city with the large garden out the back, and also a nice a cosy indoors space. When it comes to coffee there's something for everyone, and most importantly the vibe is good and staff super-friendly.
A delightful little piece of serenity in the middle of the city. Whether you sit down in the leafy courtyard at the back or at one of the small tables upstairs, youāre sure to relax and smell the roses - ah, coffee...
Love this place! Coffee is always fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Take the time to enjoy the secret garden out back ļæ½ļæ½
All good. A combination of hidden garden and hipster. A fitting successor to what used to be the Java Coast Cafe.
walking past I stopped for a quick lunch and coffee. Garden of tranquility off George St. Prices very reasonable and service is quick. Had the pulled pork burger very nice and not too big. Lovely coffee!
Great little coffee shop in the city. A little oasis from the hustle and bustle. Thank you
Best coffee in Brisbane - Coffee Iconic never disappoints and is my go-to on a daily basis. The staff are super friendly and attentive, make great coffee and know their stuff. They offer 2 different blends daily and are happy to share their knowledge with you if you ask :) Added bonuses: they don't charge extra for Zymil or Soy and have a hidden courtyard in the middle of the city. Thanks Coffee Iconic for changing my life!! ;)
Lovely place! Coffee was good - little oasis in the city! ^_^
So amazing to find this little gem in the hustle and bustle of the city. Quiet. Food excellent.
Some of the best coffee in Brisbane. Awesome friendly staff
As a former barista and Melbourne coffee snob, I was pleasantly surprised to find this awesome little place during a work trip to Brisbane. Amazing coffee, lovely staff, delicious food. You need to get yourself over to Coffee Iconic, now!
Magical vegetarian carbonara (I added chicken), almost as magical as the journey there. I really loved the balance of colours and flavours including shitake muschrooms, microgreens and finished with a splash of lemon to lift the heaviness.

Another successful brunch date! We shared the umami mushroom and granola. The presentation was on point!!!
Umami mushroom: every bite drew us closer to heaven š¤¤ the umami mayo was flavourful and harmonized with the mushroom. It was so delicious that My partner reconsidered their dislike for mushrooms!
Granola: fruit galoreā¤ļø i am a massive fan of fruits and the crunchiness of the granola with the fruit balanced well. The pannacotta was made from some citrus fruit (mandarin?) and melted in your mouth.
Atmosphere: like walking into the secret garden! The staff were super friendly despite being busy as bees. Perfect for instagram shots :)
Great coffee for those who like a floral flavour. I'm not usually a fan as I find it can be overly acidic and sour, but the barista here seems to overcome this. Seating is plenty and I love the back garden sitting area for a morning coffee hideaway or lunch getaway. Breakfast items are reasonable priced with a $10 coffee and toastie package. Lunch is delicious, filling and can be works of art. Wished they opened on weekends so I can sit and enjoy it all longer.
Coffee Iconicās a great place to hang out with the lush vibe in the middle of the CBD. The shopfront looks like a small coffeeshop, but thereās an alley that took us to the back of the shop and thereās big space to sit in and hang out along with the gorgeous garden.
We ordered waffle and mocha. The waffle came out really pretty, with the cotton candy and flower on top of it. The waffleās like the best waffle Iāve ever had, with the right crunchiness and sweetness. Also loved the mocha, a bit bitter in a good way. I absolutely adored the place and would like to come by again to try other food!
This place was absolutely gorgeous. I loved the garden out the back - it is a very pleasant place to sit and chat for a while.
I also enjoyed my veggie burger ($14). The pattie was super crisp and the generous serving of salad was unexpected but very much appreciated. The prices are very reasonable especially considering itās in the heart of the CBD.
Will definitely be paying another visit to try the other menu items as well as the sweet stuff in the display at the front (the strawberry choux ($5) looked amazing).
Update: the French toast ($14) was fantastic too. Also, it turns out that there is a small seating area inside with some aircon, which was nice.
Great place for coffee! The hidden gem in Brisbane CBD. Must check out! You would have spare at least 30 mins at the back of the car to enjoy the beautiful garden and your coffee. Lovely and friendly staff with lots of smiles. #brisbane #djmayy #brissy
Really nice atmosphere in a pretty quiet place in the city, somewhere where you could talk with a friend or study by yourself. Food was really cool, kind of Asian inspired dishes, refreshing for a cafe. The food itself was pretty light but filling. The staff was nice.
Came in this morning for some breakfast after gym. Service was quick and the prices were reasonable. The coffee was nice and the ham on my croissant was nice and thick. One day when I have more time up my sleeve I'll come back to try their outdoor area like I keep meaning to.
About 10 of us from work went there for breakfast about a month ago. We had pre-ordered and the food was pretty much ready when we were. The food was good, no complaints. The brekky wrap is highly recommended. I had tea then as I had had a coffee here before and found it wasn't strong enough (I always forget to ask for an extra shot :-(
What a great garden hidden behind the ally! The chicken avo cheese sandwich is yum with pesto sauce plus a little twist and the coffee is good as well! Super friendly staff. Will definitely come back:)
This place had been on my bookmarks since I saw DianaW 's review and recently I had the opportunity of finally going there.
I ordered a long black and the smashed pumpkin with crispy kale.
My order did not take long to get ready and soon I found myself enjoying my breakfast in a peaceful and quiet environment that did make me feel as if I wasn't in Brisbane.
My long black was strong but not too bitter, was an excellent hot beverage for a chill and rainy morning. I would rate it a 4 out of 5.
My smashed pumpkin was a huge serve that required some effort to be finished. The sourdough was a bit too hard and I found myself having trouble to cut through the crust. The pumpkin was nicely seasoned and was probably what I enjoyed most out of it. The crispy kale unfortunately was a bit chewy and not much crispy and a bit too salty which dragged this dish down. I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5.
Overall I loved this place and will probably be my first choice when I need a quiet place to relax while enjoying my food.

Walking in the City George st and dreaming a good coffee and food.. went into Coffee iconic and wow with that amazing hidden garden!!! Lots of elements and also a giant tree in the middle. You cannot find any other secret garden CafĆØ around city area.
COFFEE is amazing. Food is healthy and 65 degree porch egg done perfectly. And Sipcy Chicken burger so yum that we need to order one more.
Love it x 100 times.
Great spot - value for money! Loved the ambience. Food portion just perfect, not too much for breakfast! Staff very friendly and helpful! Will come back next time for sure
Was down on the other side of Brisbane for some serious business last week, but decided to grab a coffee with my colleague before starting on our gruelling two day session. Having done his research beforehand (of which I am very proud), my colleague suggested that Iconic was definitely the cafe that we needed to try, seeing as it had a secret garden at the back (despite the fact that we actually had no time to enjoy the garden).
Consistently great service and great coffee. The courtyard out the back gives the perfect oasis in the middle of the city. Soy and almond milk available. Highly recommend.
Mac and Cheese-twist on the classic childhood dish and this is pretty amazing and filled with truffle oil( so fancyš) and bacon pieces. What's amazing about this cafe is that their menu is never always the same. Thanks Coffee Iconic for the complimentary teaš- the fruit tea was so light and refreshing- definitely recommend this cafe as they also have a super secretive garden in the middle of CBDš and the cold drip coffee is pretty amazing tooāļøāļø
Absolutely sensational Cafe which blew all expectations off the proverbial roof. Menu is an absolutele banger that changes seasonally and each dish has its own unique flair. Service is outrageously impressive and the aprons the employees wear only adds to this. Seating is in a groovy and hip out door living area and vibes are put of this world. Very affordable prices even for a college kid like myself. Nothing more to say than you're missing out
Stumbled on this oasis in the heart of Brissy. Wonderful coffee which is welcomed. So good I bought a bag to take home. Knowledgable waiters. tranquil garden in a slope with a peddled path. Will return to eat next time!
Great Coffee is hard to find on this side of town... But Iconic is now my FAVoURITE!.. Had to come back the next day with a friend to try their food ;) GENEROUS with Avocado!! That's a winner in my mind :D... Also a beautiful escape from the busy city life with its cute little walkway to quite a large courtyard. Great place for catch ups, business over coffee, or just to chill with a book or laptop. It's nice to have a change from the normal stale coffee shops... This is a rare gem in Brisbane!
Weāve often felt like some coffee venues in the city are like an oasis from the hustle and bustle and Coffee Iconic in the Brisbane CBD fits the bill perfectly. The tree-filled garden is a perfect place to extract yourself from the rat race and savour beautifully extracted coffees in the great outdoors. A rare treat in any capital city!
The coffee here is spot on made by baristas who know what they are doing. My flat white was smooth, creamy & had those amazing mellow overtones which linger with you for hours after drinking. Just loved it & the barista was so courteous
Omg! Food is out of this world! Epic team talented baristas and this place has such a rad environment! #brissyhotspot
Bring your friends make it your local you won't regret it
These guys make one of the better coffees in Brisbane. They use Campos coffee but know how to make it properly, so the coffee is not burnt or bitter. I haven't tried their food yet, so won't comment on that.

Had a nice breakfast here at Coffee Iconic. Nothing too special but enjoyed the chilled atmosphere here in the middle of Brisbane CBD. Everything were freshly prepared and made beautifully. Coffee was fairly average and although dishes were nice, but could be made better... Slightly bland and lacked depth. Service was good and decor was nice. Overall not too bad, but sorry, will only return upon request as there are many other places in CBD to chose from. Not bad, just in need of a little "tweak" in each dish.
Loved the ambience and the little garden that surprised us at the back. A great place to just chill and relax.
We had the mushroom toast which I really enjoyed the unique mix of Asian flavors. We also had their popular crab scrambled eggs. I appreciate the adventurous mix, but we werenāt fans and only had a bite. The granola was great but the portion size is a bit too small. The coffee was okay as well, a bit bitter.
It was a great find in the midst of Brisbane.
Fantastic coffee breakfast board and delicious matcha latte. Ham and cheese croissant was great but unfortunately the almond croissant tasted a bit old. Otherwise a great place - a cute cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat indoors as it was raining that morning. When we arrived there was a long line-up but surprisingly we didn't have to wait too long for our food and drink which shows how efficient the staff are!
I love here! It has great menus. What my partner and i ordered was crab-prawn egg sandwich and pesto chicken wrap! I love the vibe in here and especially the garden
Quaint cafe tuck in between a quiet lane along busy George St. I like the rustic ambience. An oasis in the CBD. Had the chili Crab Scrambled egg and flat white. Very tasty, not your usual breakfast flavour but in a good way. Coffee was on the bitter side. I would prefer it to be a little under. Overall a good place. Will be back for its lunch menu.
This place is great! Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots to choose from on the menu and heaps of places to sit. You can sit inside or head outside down the back where there are heaps of seating options in a really beautiful area. Totally worth stopping in if youāre close by.
Fantastic coffee. Delicious food. Great service! The coffee tasting set was definitely an experience. Must visit!
The Iconic Afflogato was superb. The dine in items were light, balanced, and flavorful. The decor was a rustic yet tranquil change from the busy street which was a stark but welcoming contrast.
Great service, location, staff and attention to detail. Was a quiet place in the CBD - found on a whim but will definitely make an effort to come back. I've already had family and friends ask about this spot.
Food is a twist on breakfast with Asian inspired tones. Finished my meal which is surprisingly as I usually need help finishing my food. Ordered bacon on top and it was well worth the extra $.
Tried the coffee tasting platter - I preferred the milk house coffee and so they brought me out a complimentary coffee on the house! After asking which was my favourite, I realised they thought I didn't like the black coffees. Very polite staff and they genuinely want to know your feedback.
Please come here if you want to have a catch up with a mate. I suspect this place will get more crowded because it has all the ideals you're looking for in the perfect cafe.
