Review The Lab Restaurant And Bar - Brisbane

Went to the Chandon High Tea with the girls and had a fabulous time. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of delicious food served and the great service. My wine flute and water glass weren't empty once, with the prompt refilling from the staff. Was a great expereince and will definitely go again.

What an amazing experience! We had such a great afternoon here! It was absolutely everything that I imagined a high tea should be. Everything was absolutely delicious and service was outstanding. Bookings are essential for the high tea but it is really worth the wait.

Really nice restaurant with delicate decor and reasonable price. We ordered 2 café, 1 hot cake and 1 vegetarian breakfast. The food are beautiful and taste good. The staffs are friendly as well. Just feel one is over friendly asking us a little bit private questions like which visa we have , are we students or residents, what’s kind of job we do for living...which we feel too many information in our chat.

Went here for my bridal high tea shower. Honestly wish I went somewhere else. The food was just average. Everything tasted very store bought excluding the scones which were also just ok but fresh. (The stone kind but the fluffy kind) We also paid the extra $20 for 2 hours of Chandon per person. During the 2 hours I asked for 5 drinks and received only 3 of them. I would had also asked for more but could never find a waiter. They then tried to short change us on time when my mum asked for a cup of tea. We had 20 minutes left in our package and she was told no we are out of time. For tea….. There was about 3 wait staff serving close to 70 people. When I followed up to complain on service there was very little in the way of an apology. Would not recommend and would not return.

Maybe give this a read before you decide to book. We were quiet exited at first, but it just went downhill from there. The service was extremely bad, not only did they ignore us but when they handed the menus to us with such an attitude. Definitely consider being nicer to customers since they pay not only for the food but also service. The scones were dry and crumbly (I can crack a walnut with them scones), the chocolate desserts tasted like they’ve been in the fridge for a week, the bread for the sandwiches were as dry as cardboard, the tea was weak and runny.

Delicious breakfast, included in our Staycation offer. Very attentive staff and a nice environment.

Great service. Nice and quiet. Food was great

Service here was really good. I came here for hotcake by the photos shown on the website, not impressive, and was also average, but a big serve, I was so full with my strawberry hotcake. Don’t order too many as they don’t offer take away service😅Environment was nice in this heritage style building. Btw, the entrance is on the George street (intersection of the George Street and Charlotte street)

We have been to Lab Bar several times – mainly for dinner and private Star events, but also for their High Tea. <br/><br/>For dinner, we love their Pork Belly entre and for mains the Rib Eye for two with truffle mash - the duck is also fantastic. We usually opt for their chocolate based desserts as some of the fruity options have been hit and miss in the past. They have also brought out a complimentary plate of chocolates for a birthday boy too.<br/><br/>The real highlight at Lab Bar is their weekly High Tea sittings on the weekends at 1 and 4pm. The standard price is $45 (bargain!) but we always choose the Chandon option for $59 which includes three types of Chandon bubbles - did I mention it was bottomless? Yas queen, bottomless. The servers are so lovely (Steven is our favourite) and they keep the drinks steadily flowing! The ambience is beautiful, being in a gorgeous heritage listed building.<br/><br/>Out tip * bookings are essential for the High Tea, which we definitely rate as one of Brisbane’s best.
High Tea Queen
High tea at The Lab - this is my fav venue for high tea in Brisbane. The most impressive thing is their sandwiches. I’ve had a lot of high tea at different places but The Lab has the best tasting sandwiches available. Their scones are average, probably a bit too small and not fluffy enough but they provide generous good quality cream to go with it so it makes the scones taste better. Their sweet stuff are average to below average. Their tea is average. Service was good and friendly. <br/><br/>Will I go back: yes

Been here around 3 times and each time the food has been very good, although the service, while polite, could be friendlier/nicer.<br/><br/>Each time, we order the degustation and it did not disappoint.

Very nice ambience, lovely architecture and a wonderful setting just by the main road.<br/>Ordered the goats cheese entree, be prepared for a punch as it is mature and had a strong taste so prepared!<br/><br/>The duck breast was good, cooked well and paired well with the sauces. The venison wellington was fantastic, with a beautiful puff pastry and the venison was just so delicate and not chewy at all.<br/><br/>The lemon semifreddo was amazing, light, tangy, and refreshing at the same time. Makes me want to make my own everyday!<br/><br/>All in all, a wonderful experience!

Beautiful. Great attentive service. Had the champagne high tea and let me tell you the champagne was flooooowing. The food was Devine. Good times

The fine dining scenes are now a norm in Brissy CBD, but I quite enjoyed the newly furbished Lab in Treasury Casino tonight with the family. The menus are average but were quite well executed. Be it duck breast, lamb chops or the usual scallop/prawn combos were all cooked to our likings. The dessert is the best I had lately. My husband ordered the Lemon Cheesecake with Ginger Sombre, OH MY the different flavors just danced in our mouths it was a happy surprise:) <br/>Being a Wed night, the restaurant was quiet with just a few tables; the service was courteous and it was a lovely serene place to relax!

Went to explore this restaurant on Easter Saturday and found that it was disappointed maybe due to my high expectation on this award-winning restaurant. Actually, set up is elegance and spacious and the service is attentive and friendly; however, the food was so so. Ordered the entrees of "Bug" and "Quail". The plating looks good but it was so hard to find the tiny protein on the "Bug" dish. The  "Quail Ballotine" gained back some marks for the juicy meat but we were let down by the mains of steaks again. The eye fillet was under cooked to rare instead of med-rare and I could not taste the rich flavour of my dry-aged sirloin. The serious trouble was the sauces, both of our pepper sauces lacked of pepper flavour and they were too sweet. Overall, I could not say the chefs lack of passion but there are rooms to be improved. Don't forget, there are so many good restaurants in town.

While staying in the Treasury Casino Hotel we had a chance to gamble on where to eat. We are RATS so why not try The Lab for this scientific experiment in culinary delights. The surroundings are from another era -like the long mahogany saloon bar and the large bay windows.<br/><br/>We had to try the carved steak with a fantastic Argentinian Malbec.<br/><br/>But the best was the Barra with Fennel Puree and the Duck with Orange Segments and sour cherry glaze. A great way to spend a lazy Monday night.

The Lab has both been excellent and disappointing over around 10 visits. The service is usually very good, though the kitchen can be very very slow especially on busy nights. On a busy night be prepared to spend 2-3 hours on a 2 course meal. <br/><br/>The food itself is generally very good, and this is one of the few places in Brisbane I have found can get the steaks right almost all the time.  The triple fried chips are to die for!  The 'For Two' grill options are nice but on both occasions we have ordered them they took an hour and a half to come out after the entree was served. The mains do change from time to time, but generally all the dishes are nice.  Be prepared to pay though, as this is NOT a cheap restaurant by any means. You are getting a fine dining experience at a fine dining price. <br/><br/>Food is consistently good, wait staff are excellent, though the kitchen can take a long time to prepare your meal, even on quiet nights, but especially on busy ones.   If you are not in a rush and are prepared to spend hours over dinner this is definitely a great place to eat.

I've been to the Lab for high tea twice now - the first time as a guest for their Christmas high tea, and today i returned with the whole family for a special occasion. The food quality is top notch - I enjoyed everything on the stand, especially the bottom tier of sweets and the mini prawn baguettes. Usually I find the pastries and macarons to be average, but The Lab has its own pastry chefs which explains why everything tastes great! <br/><br/>Service is also excellent - attentive and friendly (but not overbearing). The restaurant is located inside the beautiful Treasury Heritage Hotel which feels regal and is perfect for an elegant high tea. At $45 per person ($25 for kids), it's great value and for a limited time you get a bottle of Chandon per 2 people that book plus free parking! Highly recommended!

Tried out the Lab Bar and Restaurant for their High Tea and absolutely loved it. The serving was huge for two, and came with a good amount of savoury items, which most high teas lack. I didn't go home from a food coma due to over eating desserts which is great. Service was excellent too. Overall very happy with their High Tea!

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was quite busy but the service was quick and efficient. All of the dishes were nice, the dessert menu was also quite impressive.

The Height of High Tea. So impressed by the high tea today at the Lab Bar. The food and service was excellent. My daughter and I have been to quite a few high teas around Brisbane and thought this was one of the best we have had.

Nice dinner, wished the bread was a bit more crusty and warm but the crab cakes were delicous. I had the veal and I highly recommend it. Yum yum
The Food Extinguisher
I hate scones, and anyone who knows me can attest to that. However, after visiting the Lab, I have gone through a complete transformation. They must conduct some pretty cool experiments at the Lab , because the scones are one of the best I've tried (and yes, this is coming from a recently reformed scone-hatter). In fact, their scones completely blew my mind - soft, yet moist and crumbly, with a delicious buttery taste. And best of all, the scones were slightly toasted which made it delightfully crunchy on the outside but still light and fluffy on the inside. I can probably talk about how awesome the scones are all day long, but I will spare you the pain. The High Tea ($45 for adults) came with 2 scones - one plain and one with sultanas - generous servings of sultanas hidden in a moist, delicate scone (Ok, ok I get it - I will stop now). Three tiers of sweet and savoury delights: Tier 1: Plain scone, Sultana scone, Petite Quiche & Fritata Tier 2: Freshly made dainty gourmet ribbon sandwiches Tier 3: Assortment of sweet treats The accompanying clotted cream was even more spectacular than the scones - thick and creamy, with an intense burst of vanilla flavours. Infused with real vanilla pods, you get a delicious, authentic vanilla taste (and not the fake artificial flavours you get from vanilla essence). You also get a jar of strawberry jam as well, but who needs jam with you have delicious creamy cream (How original - using "creamy" to describe cream *rolls eyes*). Creamy Vanilla Cream Moving onto savouries, Tier 2 comes with 6 different types of gourmet finger sandwiches (mix of wholemeal and white bread): Egg and lettuce with mayo and butter Chicken with mayo, chives and brie Roast beef and cucumber Smoked salmon with red onion, mustard and capers Swiss cheese and tomato Cucumber with cream cheese, spring onion and sour cream The sandwiches were pleasant but it didn't blow my mind. The last tier was presented beautifully (check out the swan shaped profiteroles!) an

Pitiful service for breakfast 23/12/14. Beautiful restaurant backed by the Treasury Casino - you would think the food would be impeccable with excellent service - WRONG!!! Booked a table for 10 persons and on arrival at 8:05am only about 15 to 20 persons present in the restaurant. <br/>First issue - the breakfast offered (apparently valid for the past 6 mths) had reduced selection and was more expensive to the breakfast listed on their website - nothing under $23.<br/>Second issue - Whilst wait service were polite, there were obvious issues with the kitchen and we should have walked out. Numerous inquiries about the breakfast were politely answered with the answer 'meals SHOULD arrive soon' with no timeframe provided. We had to get up and request wait staff to take our orders after 10 to 15 minutes and the food did not arrive until 9:08am - then I had to request butter with my dry piece of toast, poached eggs were overdone and a colleague noticed her eggs benedict tasted funny and found the other side of her toast being burnt to charcoal. However, it was noted that tables of two to four persons who arrived after us received their orders prior to our table. WHILST I HAVE NEVER PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN A NEGATIVE REVIEW LIKE THIS, I THOUGHT IT IMPORTANT FOR OTHER PATRONS TO BE AWARE. THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE HAD AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE...LET ALONE THE POOR PATRONS STAYING AT THE HOTEL.

Don't Bother. It's been a long long time since I've been to a restaurant where NOTHING was right! The menu was appalling....the combinations meant that there was nothing I actually liked. I chose the duck mains in desperation - there was nothing on the entree section, nor was the deserts menu any better. The staff were dreadful - asking us for dessert options right at the beginning. Obviously they knew before we did that they would take SO long that the kitchen staff would leave before the desserts were served!! Wine is apparently too hard. Despite several requests for service we were not given our wine, even after having changed our choice because our original order had only one bottle in stock (for a group of 13). Our entrees arrived an hour after seating, our mains after two hours.....you don't want to know how long our desserts took. Suffice it to say, I've arrived home and made myself a sandwich - at least I know I've eaten now!

How long More???? I have wa.... How long More????<br/>I have waited for 45 mins finaly <br/>My enteee arrived <br/>The food was good but waiting is not the option when you starving<br/>I hope the can make the food faster...<br/>I might try to come again and probably preorder the food...

Thankyou for a great night!. This year we went for dinner to The Lab on my birthday, and I had a wonderful surprise. From the manager to all the crew they treated us like we were the only customers there. They were all so kind and polite and served us wonderful food and a fantastic dessert platter that it was fantastic!. I will definitely remenber this birthday for a long time.
Claudia.rodino
Excelent experience!. We went with my husband to celebrate his birthday and we had a fantastic night at the Lab Restaurant. All the staff were amazing, very kind and attentive, the food was marvellous and we had a very special attention with a birthday card signed by all the crew! A very special night!!! We are definitely looking forward to coming back!

Disappointing. Had been there before to enjoy a night of perfection in dining.<br/> Sorry to say the experience was not repeated. Not enough staff to cater for the amount of patrons. Food was not of high standard previously experienced. Very sad they have let their standards drop sooo far. No value for the money spent... and it doesn't come cheap.
Yum Yum
Not that great. The dining room is absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful old wooden bar. The service was ok. Food was up and down. Pork belly entree was a real disappointment. Not crispy with fat rendered and delicious like only pork belly can be, but a bit soggy and tasted mostly like a layer of fat... Which it was! Lamb rack was nice but served with an almost cold rosti really took the shine off what should be an amazing dish for high thirties price tag. The little palate cleansers of mango sorbet were a nice (and delicious) touch but you gotta do more than that for dinner in a place like this. Didn't stay for dessert and won't be going back.
Nomnom
Wonderful!. We had a wonderful dinner here last night without a single fault. The lab was perfectly cooked and juicy. The duck breast was tender and moist. I will definitely be coming here again.

Where do I start. We had a 7.30pm booking for 7 people. When we booked 3 weeks earlier we were not told of the $80 set menu because it was Valentines day. I always thought valentines day was 14th Feb not the 15th. We decided to stay as I had been quite a few times before many years ago and was always impressed with the food and service. This was not the case the waitress took 50 mins to come and take our order. She didn't ask what sauce or how we wanted our eye fillet cooked. I had to call her back to tell her. I guess it didn't help she could hardly speak or understand English. Our Entrees came out 1 hour later and our mains 1 hour after that. People who came after us had had there 3 courses and gone by this stage. When our mains came out the staff had mixed up our orders and somehow we all got well done eye fillet when we asked for medium and we all had a totally different sauce to what we asked for. When I asked how was the meat cooked the waitress said I don't know I didn't place it in front if you. By this stage we were starving and we ate some of the food but it was so dry and terrible. We asked to speak to the manager who also couldn't speak much English so the Exec manager was called. He argued with us and made such a scene. He said he didn't believe it took that long for our food to come out. He was so rude. I thought the customer was always right. We didn't even get our desert because by this stage everyone had left and the staff were closing up. After a very long argument he offered us 50% off our bill. This was still unsatisfactory but we paid and left and vowed never to go back. Rather disappointing and disgusting inedible food.

Great service, great food. Came here with family. We came early but we were treated very nicely by staff.<br/><br/>It's nice that they serve a tidbit of something for you to try before your meal comes. Both my husband and I enjoyed our mains (Grainge Rib, Barramundi) and were were well attended to by staff even though our group had a very scattered arrival due to delayed flights etc. They were understanding of us ordering in a scattered fashion as a couple of us had to leave early.<br/><br/>It's certainly pricey but a nice atmosphere and enjoyable food.

Don't waste your money. Average fair for extravagant price. Don't bother. No pepper, bad service
Sugarpop
So disappointing. We went here on the 5/9/13 for a romantic dinner and what we got was extremely underwhelming experience. We arrived to find no one to greet us. After having our reservation finally confirmed after standing around by the bar uncomfortably, we were ushered over to a crammed section of the restaurant, to be placed among many other diners despite an entire restaurant of tables being available. A 20 minute wait was followed before we were able to finally place our order. It then took an additional 50 minutes before our mains were served! At this point we were both starving! When my husbands prawn pasta dish was placed in front of him we both looked at each other - the dish had only 4 prawns and you could have mistaken it for an entree! He was left hungry following his meal. I ordered the 200g steak and this came out dry. The sauce tasted like an entire bottle of salt had been unleashed in it. Our side of vegetables was odd - half of it came out undercooked and crunchy while then other half of vegetables came out over cooked. At the end of the meal no wait staff was in sight for us to collect the bill, so we both got up and walked to the bar where we were told to go to the other end to pay. When I got there I was met with a grumpy man who could not be bothered smiling let alone make eye contact with me. He gave me the bill, which I promptly corrected him stating we had an Entertainment Card. I was made to feel I had inconvenienced him. I then had to ask exactly how much he was charging my card as he did't give me the revised bill! I have been to the Lab Bar many years ago and from memory it was great, this is clearly not the case anymore. We won't be back!!

Always Beautiful. I went here for a Birthday doo and was really impressed. The food was beautiful and the service was excellent. I have been previously and it was just as great as it was last time. I will be back again.

Usually a safe bet for a business brunch, but today it failed me dismally. Please remove the bruschetta from your menu! and you need a dedicated barista after 11am.
Ben Edgeworth
Really impressed. Went here with a 2 for 1 voucher for main meals. Really awesome food and excellent service. Would definitely go back and pay full price.

Good breakfast. I've only had breakfast at this place, so I'll only comment on that. It was part of my hotel package. Good wide range of options from the ala carte menu ie. not just egg/bacon or cereal combo. But having had breakfast at many places, for the price, I don't think this place is a standout, just average.
HF
Second time round just as good.. Had a get togther with friends last week. Table of 8. It was a Friday night and we had a late dinner - 9pm seating.<br/>Our waitress was very attentive. Initial drinks and specials straight up.<br/>Our entrees came out promptly. We had the scallops entree and pork belly. Both were a good portion to start and tasty as well. <br/>There was a function of 26 people in the restaurant that night and we were notified that our mains will take slightly longer. I understand. That group of 26 called away mains minutes before we were ready. Can't help that sort of thing. You can't expect chefs to plate up 26 dishes plus ours and to not have it go cold...unless you want slosh on your plate.<br/>We were very happy with our mains. I had the seafood platter and my partner had the chicken.<br/>For dessert I had the Chocolate 5 ways.. I think that's what it was. Amazing.<br/>For a restaurant linked to the casino it was a pretty good dining experience. <br/><br/>If the occasion calls for it we will come back.
Troy Walker
If indifferent service and generic overpriced food is your thing, then this is the place for you! Otherwise, Unlike the Titanic and the iceberg, give it a wide berth.

Have just left Lab Bar, before the main course arrived- after over 1 hour wait between courses. The worst service ever!!! Cold entre for my husband, brother's main arrived without the food for the rest of our table, wine spilled by the waitress. The restaurant is staffed by young kids, who have obviously had minimal training and are being exploited for minimum wage. When we complained, the manger's only comment was "we know"
June Raechel Moore
The lab bar was quite an unpleasant experience. We went in with high expectations and was thoroughly disappointed. We had the risotto, which turned out to be tasteless and flat. When given feedback, the staff was rude and presented with poor service. The dish was remade the second time round, and it was gluggy, rice was over cooked and the dish was watery. The plates the food was served in also made it difficult to eat. We also had the duck, which was served on a bed of bean stew, that tasted unappetizing and looked and tasted like it was served out of a can. We were thoroughly disappointed with this dinner and we will never go back there again.
Eflord
Typically Hotel Restaurant, nothing outstanding but nothing really to complain about either, plenty of other places to go to first...
TJM
Good food, good service. Enjoyed our night out at the LAB, food was delicious and well presented. Staff were very friendly and the environment is great, apart from the dreadful artwork - who thought that was a good idea??
Daniel
Disappointed with food and service. First - I have reserve table for 2 yesterday, it was arrange near the window but it change to other area.<br/>Second - the waiter was bit frustrated if asking repeat the special.<br/>Third - we order the special food "A signature crab special" for 50 dollar, the crab was damn not fresh. Told the waiter but only told us will let manager know and nothing feedback from them.<br/>Fourth - The payment was incorrectly and lucky have checked with the menu price<br/><br/>Conclusion: Very disappointed with high price restaurant after given bad service and food. Won't go anymore.

Just ate here last night and I can't figure out why Brisbanites settle for this expensive experience as the food was not better than the food from cafe 21 in the casino. Service was awkward. For better value and better food check out Jeremy's, a place that actually deserves a reputation.

Fine food, great service!!! Ate here Wednesday night for my sons birthday. Food was lovely, nice wine and great service. A five star experience. A chocolate plate to wish my son Happy Birthday. Pure class!! Would go back any time . Cheers B

Let Down. Went there for my mum's birthday, and I believe the food from the restaurant was only okay. I had the pork belly and the prawn for the entree. It is nice, and quite moreish. However, I had the veal and can't quite say it was the best veal I have tasted. Overall, I don't think the food is bad, but for the price you pay you do want to see better standards.
JB
Always been fantastic. Have eaten here many times when friends are visiting and staying in the hotel. Service is very good to say the least. Food has never been bad, oysters especially fresh probably some of the best I have had in Brisbane dining out. We were early for our booking and sat at the bar, bar tender very friendly, they remembered who we were when it was our booking time and the table free, came over to the bar and asked if we would like to be seated or finish our drinks first. Wait staff menu knowledge is a credit to the place, a couple of questions got asked and answered without hesitation. I'll continue to go back time and time again.
Willstar
Basic menu - efficient friendly staff. Wine list a broad- expensive. Above average hotel restaurant. Can become quite noisy on a busy night... Suited to a group night out rather than romantic evening.. Worth a visit.
Food_fan
Let down by floor staff.. The food is amazing, and it is a shame this place is attached to the Casino, as the staff are just thrown in sometimes or are lazy and it lets the place down.<br/>A bit expensive, but the food is amazing.<br/>I've been here a few times as the food is so good, it is just the staff that let the place down.

5 star cuisine in the heart of the CBD. The Lab Bar inside the iconic Conrad Treasury Hotel is one of the best restaurant's within the Brisbane CBD.<br/>The quality of the food is 5 star, the silver service is unreal (picture this, the waiters/waitresses keep one arm behind their back's at all times), and the complimentary sour dough - OMG is it good (be brave, ask for more).<br/>My favourite dish is the veal scaloppini with sand crab mash.
Nigel
A good spot to cool down. I haven't eaten here but have had drinks on more than a few occasions. Lab is a great spot to chill out after a long day, or when you need to grab some cold air conditioning in town before or after a job interview!<br/><br/>Very pleasant place that never seems to get too busy, so good service as well.
Bug
I liked it! A stylish twist and fancy names given to some old favorites.
Cassiecakes
I have been to high tea before with my mother and sister and had a lovely time. The dainty sandwiches, the pretty pastries, frilly doilies - the whole experience is traditional and wonderfully feminine. So I was a little surprised, delightfully so, when the masculine and hairy Mr. Cakes expressed his desire to accompany me to high tea! He explained it, tiny sweets and scones...why wouldn't he like it?!   Champagne and tea and everything nice! We both got dressed up and made our way in to the city. The Lab Bar & Restaurant is situated in the Treasury Hotel, away from the main casino building itself. The history and architecture really makes the experience special, the polished timber bar that dominates the room is beautiful and really makes you want to have a drink.

The Lab Bar and Restaurant within the elegant Treasury Heritage Hotel is now offering a high tea experience on weekends. The high tea experience here is traditional and beautiful. I recently was invited to their high tea launch with all sorts of high class society and fabulously dressed older ladies whilst I clunked around in my usual clumsy self. The Treasury high tea experience was lots of fun pretending to be fancy, getting the excuse to dress up and all that for the afternoon, especially in the wonderful historical building.
FoodMeUpScotty
The arrangement of the perfectly seared venison and other accompaniments was almost breathtaking, it was quite literally pretty as a picture. The venison was incredibly tender and had just the right amount of seasoning but when added to the mulled win jus was taken to a higher plane of cuisine. The really interesting twist on the plate was the peeled orange pieces, which added some sweet acidity to the dish and added to the complexity of the flavours. This was an incredibly complex plate of food and to get the balance of flavours just right required the right mix of genius and madness.

TIFFIN Bite Sized
For The Love of Lobster’ promotion a guilt free experience. Mr Tiffin is a regular at The Lab, a restaurant located on George St that’s part of The Treasury Hotel. It’s at his end of town and he was looking forward to enjoying some tasty polygamous lobster with me. The Lab was serving Lobster Thermidore,

what struck my memory was the crispy skin of the duck confit with superbly tender meat. It did melt in my mouth (sort of) and the broad beans had been braised long enough to make them soft and flavourful.
Dolce Bunnie
The steak wasn't overly thrilling, but my barramundi turned out to be really yummy, the crispy skin was definitely a bonus . The portion was good and honestly, the overall experience was well above my expectation and I strongly recommend you to take them up on the current promotion.

Our first entrée was the pork belly with prawns. This definitely a Thai inspired dish, as the green papaya with chilli , peanuts and mango tasted just like a papaya salad I have had before

Last year when we visited The Lab Mr F was quite disappointed about their food quality (it used to be one of his FAVOURITE restaurants in Brisbane!), last night he craved for some decent fine dining and decided to give it a go again. The food was really superb! And the service was fantastic!

I've eaten at the Lab Bar + Restaurant a few times over the years and generally speaking the food has been dependably good.

Last Friday night I made some of our friends have a late supper at The Lab (as opposed to going to whichever food court was still open at 9pm).
