Came here on a Saturday morning, it was raining and really packed, thus really hard to find a seat. However, the service was quite quick despite the busy period.
Ordered the Crumbed Chicken Wing and Calamari for the food. Both were tasty, accompanied with the right sauces. The Calamari was a little bit too salty and greasy for my preference though. For the drink, ordered the Chai Latte, which was really good. The spice was in appropriate amount and not overwhelming, not too milky as well.
Overall, a good experience. Might come back in the future to try out other dishes.
Lovely staff, unique and intriguing interior design of the shop distinguishes the cafe from other places. There was something new to look at in every direction of the cafe, with an abundant amount of seating! We ordered the karaage chicken burger ($18) and asked for it to be cut in half. The burger not only was kindly served on two seperate plates, but came with a BUCKET full of fries. It was delicious, however i felt the burger was slightly lacking something (I couldn’t figure out what it was, maybe sauce?). We also shared calamari ($12), where each bite was juicy and tangy, and just scrumptious 🤤
Visited on a Thurs night for some drinks and snack with a friend. Great location and very convenient location. I loved the cocktail selection and especially loved that they had a few varieties of bloody mary. My first drink was just the classic bloody mary and l requested extra hot. It was perfect. My friend got a spiced espresso martini and loved hers as well. We only got some chips as snacks but they were great. Second round of drinks we tried the Jalapeno Margarita and Don't you steal my sunshine. Again both drinks were drink. Customer service was great and attentive. Saw a lot of amazing menu items so l can't wait to come back with my family.
Great decent sized meals and sides! Unique menu with lots of options. Friendly staff and beautiful relaxed atmosphere :) love that they use metal straws
We stumbled upon this beautiful cafe and decided to have a coffee here, from the moment we walked in staff was extremely friendly and welcoming.
We ordered our coffee and the adults milo panacotta. The coffee... I got to say was absolutely amazing and the pannacotta was soooooooo delicious!!! The 'jiggly' pannacotta was bathed around a generous serving of Bailey creme and topped with Milo, this is definitely a must try!
Will return to try their breakfast or lunch menu
Fantastic menu, prompt and pleasant staff and good variety of beers on tap. Check for the awesome nightly specials. One of the seemingly few decent places you can get a coffee in Brisbane after 2pm
Went here with a group of friends for lunch over the public holiday Easter break. Reminder that they do not accept group bookings during the day time over the weekends, however there is a quick turn over.
I got to try the 'Chicken and Waffles' - good flavours with a hint of heat, tender chicken, although it was overall a little dry and may have benefitted from a little more sauce, and 'Flammkuchen' - a delicious pizza, crispy base, although I would have preferred a bit more sour cream to cut through the richness of the brie cheese.
My companions also enjoyed their respective dishes, with particular positive response to the Banh Mi and Mee Goreng.
Friendly and efficient service. Casual ambience. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a good trendy cafe with a wide selection of food choices from breakfast to dinner.
The $15 steak with $5 wines special was a great deal on Wednesday's. The food was tasty however atmosphere was a bit lacking. Overall a good place to catch up with friends.
Came in for a post Xmas party breakfast on Saturday morning. Food was pretty great- I had eggs with salmon and roesti sides. Hot skilled salmon was so delicious- I wish I had 2 serves of it. I thought it would be a regular potato roesti but it had shredded sweet potato or something similar (didn’t like) and beetroot (love) so it was a bit too sweet for me. Would have loved some type of sauce on the side- I didn’t see any I could order on the menu.
Friends had a breakfast special and it looked pretty good- a lot of fried Camembert or Brie - enough to share.
Drinks were good- I liked the elderflower sangria and my Bloody Mary- next time I’m ordering a side of fries cos all I could taste was cheeseburger (in a good way).
Booked using first table. No complaints, efficient friendly service. Food was well prepared, tasty and sizes were huge. Nothing amazing on the menu but all done well. I’m keen to try the interesting breakfast menu. I’d be happy to pay full price here.
I will always love this restaurant. The area is amazing and the vibe of the restaurant is so nice and casual. The peanut butter and chocolate milkshake is amazing and really filling. And the shoestring fries are definitely the best thing on the menu. Otherwise everything is always so tasty!!
So glad we went to dinner here. Such great service, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience. Food came out fast and was delicious. Cocktails were tasty also. Definitely recommend this cute little spot.
Really nice outdoor eating area with a great atmosphere for lunch and afternoon drinks. The food was amazing and the drinks, although expensive, were worth it. The indoor seating area has really nice views of Paddington. The pulled pork sandwich was perfect for lunch and would also be a good option for dinner. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick.
Had the chicken&waffles with a Pimms Jug- was really yummy and the Pimms was nice and sweet . A little pricey for a jug but overall really lovely service and will be going back for some afternoon snacks & drinks sometime :)

Great place for breakfast! Good atmosphere for all ages, nice menu selection and fun outdoor seating! Sides were a little on the pricy side however were justified with the portions. Would love to come back here for drinks sometime! Love this place! Stephanie Hamish
UPDATE**
Finally came back here for afternoon drinks and nibbles and I think this is going to be one of my staples! The drinks were well priced and delicious! Nibbles are amazing! We had the nachitos and these are the tastiest little sh**s I have ever tried! Full of flavour and perfectly bite sized! The fries were great and aren’t like any other fries I’ve had and makes me wonder why no other cafe has ever tried garnishing fries with dukkah before!!?
Chicken waffle breakfast on a sunny winter morning. Best day ever! Husbandio loved the crunchy coating on the tender chicken & the spiced mayo. Next time (and there WILL be an encore) will add a side of bacon for utter perfection.
My banh xeo vietnamese crispy crepe came with a separate bowl of coriander & mint, a jug of nuoc cham dressing & was loaded with bean sprouts galore. Fresh, huge and delishe.
Visiting Lil Miss enjoyed her oh-so-pretty french toast with ice cream, especially her first experience with labneh which added a sour zing.
A trifecta of yum from the all day menu.
Food, atmosphere & service all tops. Bloody good start to the day.
Lloved it everything we chose from the lunch menu was good and the table service was quick and friendly. Plus there is parking below. A bonus.
A quaint little cafe-style restaurant, walking into Kettle and Tin feels almost like walking into the home of a familiar friend. Cosy but spacious enough for each table to have their own privacy, I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. The food choices are not overly ambitious, with larger tapa-style dinner options meant for sharing. We ordered the Charsiu pork belly and the Waffle fries, both plentiful for two fairly hungry girls and they were both extremely flavoursome. The only fault I could make for the Charsiu dish was that the noodles underneath the pork belly slices (which were deletectable, by the way) were far too salty to be eaten without drinking copious amounts of water. Adding to that the seemingly innocuous sultanas, this made for a slightly odd textural combination that I felt would have been better left off the plate in exchange for an asian-inspired salad. The waffle fries were faultless and served with a predictable though no less tasty accompanying aioli. Our waitress was a lovely jovial lady who also brought a more personable feel to our dining experience with her genuine friendliness and helpful recommendations. All in all, this place wins in ambiance, service, and food- though a little more understanding of asian flavours would bide better with a trained asian palate. I will be back.
An evening dinner with friends here was very good. Excellent service accompanied by good food. I'm not usually a big fan of shared plates however the portions here are spot on along with the decent variety.

Love this place! I can't really remember why it has been so long in between visits. Anyway such a great location (not even 500m from my doorstep) and great seating options, both outdoor and indoor provide a homely and welcoming feel. A skinny flat white is my usual go-to and it was so amazing that I thought it would help me grow hairs on my chest (you never want a weak coffee, and this place won't disappoint). As I peruse the menu the pancakes jump out at me, I must have them! My friends go for the standard egg on toast options but are able to tailor them to their own desires, high fives! Anyway the bottom line is you can go wrong here, Kettle and Tin is just fantastic!!!
We had lunch here today. No bookings are taken for Sunday lunch, however we were seated immediately inside. There is a small courtyard which is very popular. Despite the busy time of day, service was prompt. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly.
There is an extensive all day breakfast and lunch menu, including pasta and 'fish of the day specials.' There is also an excellent drinks menu including local craft beer, beer on tap, and a fine selection of wines.
I ordered the wagyu beef burger and a side of shoestring fries. The wagyu beef was of high quality. The fries were seasoned with a delicious paprika salt and came with aioli. I finished with a long black, which was very smooth. All in all a good lunch experience.
We had a great lunch today at Kettle and Tin. I ordered the cauliflower and zucchini salad and it was certainly no boring salad. The cauliflower was roasted and the chick peas were spicy (also roasted). The hommous was delicious and the watercress added freshness. The side of fries were lovely too and the rosé was a perfect accompaniment.
I finished off with a coffee which could have been hotter and was finished way too quickly but the flavour was good. The service was excellent. The male waiter with the long hair was particularly friendly. The female with the short hair started clearing the table while I was still eating - a huge no, no in my opinion. Otherwise, the service was good.
came here for lunch and the cafe was quite busy. engaging, friendly staff.
shared:
- herb omelette with sweet potato, miso corn & carrot relish
- roasted cauliflower & zucchini salad with fried chickpeas, hommus, mixed leaves
these 2 dishes didn't disappoint at all!
the herb omelette had a beautiful combination of flavours, with a strong miso flavoured base of corn + sweet potato, a lighter herb omelette topped with a slightly sweet carrot relish.
and don't be fooled by the 'salad', it had so much flavour and felt fresh. the chickpeas are crunchy which I found so delicious!
a lovely cafe to eat at, although a little pricy.
We went to Kettle and Tin for breakfast this morning and it was very nice. Great variety of food on menu and interesting dishes. I had the chive scrambled eggs on sourdough with smoked salmon, which was super tasty. Staff were also friendly. I hope to visit again sometime.
Nice coffee and food.
I was promptly served by a friendly staff upon walking in. Long black and cajun jambalaya were ordered. My long black was very chocolatey and syrupy. It satisfied my morning coffee crave. Cajun jambalaya was very scrumptious and savoury with half a grilled lemon. The lemon was very juicy when squeezed and provided a nice zest to the dish which was given generous amount of smoke pork cubes and prawns. It was very warming and satisfying.
Not a huge fan of brunch but this place does it well.. The coffee is good as is the service.
Were shown to our table and chose our meals and drinks quickly as we were hungry!
All three meals were generous and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere here- not too busy being a monday. Will definitely be back to have a lunch very soon.
We ordered a herb omelette and a couple serves of the pancakes. Both dishes were amazing. I'm nuts for bananas and their rum one were good stuff. I haven't had anything like the salted caramel Milo pretzels before but very nice.
Good service.
After a nice shop nearby and lunch, my fellow diners wanted coffees so we went here. The cosy, small little café with a herb garden is the perfect place.
Today my diners had coffees, but I wanted to use the best of winter so I had a hot chocolate. The service seemed nice at first but the staff forgot about us. A while later, we ordered and the drinks came fast. One of my fellow diners said the coffee was going cold. My hot chocy came with two marshmallows which was nice and later I saw why the marshmallows were there. The hot chocolate was bland.
Overall, this place was the sort of place that has better food than drink. This is a nice place that many people have enjoyed. A nice place for Paddington, too.
Review 2
Today I am here for lunch, and I ordered soft-poached eggs with avocado on sourdough. It sounded really nice and after seeing the food from the other tables, I think this food would be great.
The food tasted amazing and I was completely satisfied with the taste, but the egg was cold within a short amount of time. Otherwise this place is perfect for a breakfast or a weekend lunch.
Really good food and awesome service. Definitely will be back. The chicken tacos were sublime, plus you gotta get the wings and the squid! Exceeded our expectations
Legit the best coffee in Paddington, never had a dud. They use Bonsoy soy milk which is rad for those amongst us who would be sorted in to Hufflepuff based on our lactose ineptitude, and who usually have to deal with other soy brands that taste like filtered sticks and tree bark. The staff are laid back and friendly, so all round this place gets an A+.
Great place for breakfast & coffee. I am a regular here for business meetings and it's always a winner. Service is good and food is always fast coming out. I'm a big fan of places that offer healthy & gluten free options and Kettle & Tin ticks all the right boxes.
The rating is for the food. Just delightful. Thoroughly recommend the pink squid, scallop, mushroom dishes. The service however is crap. Slow to respond. Drinks took far to long which was probably held up by the staff dancing around behind the bar instead of getting our drinks sorted and despite being at less than 25% capacity.

We used to go here every week for trivia.
Q1. Is it good?
Answer. Yass!
Q2. Should you go here?
Answer. Yass!
Q3. What should you get?
Answer. All the foods.
Kettle & Tin just gets better and better. When food is just that good it leaves a goofy smile on your face, you know you're on to a winner. Adore this place, it's perfect!
Nice place to eat! Has a very nice setting and good service. Could do with some more vegan options :) But! the food was very tasty when I went, but nothing extra-ordinary.
Nice atmosphere, unpretentious but original menu and tea on milk made to perfection! Will definitely be coming back here for more breakfast!
Tried the Vietnamese crêpe and was pleasantly surprised by the flavour and portion. Cold pressed juice was fantastic and the waiter was lovely as well :)
Loved our meal last week. Very reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. The chicken wings with blue cheese sauce were AMAZING and the NY strip steak was awesome. Will be back soon to polish off 4 plates of those wings!
I went to The Kettle & Tin after a day of bridesmaid shopping with a few girls for lunch. I had the Caesar salad while the other girls had the bacon and syrup waffles (that were delectable). One of the ladies in our group is wheelchair bound and found it quite difficult to get into the cafe, but with the help of the staff she got in and out with ease. I have to say The Kettle & Tin isn't for picky eaters, but I thoroughly enjoyed it as a whole.
I have been here a few times for breakfast and have enjoyed each time. Good service and a variety of dishes to choose from for breakfast, the home coffee is consistently good.
Really impressed! 4 amazing share meals, two drinks and a dessert for less than $100. I like that both the main and drinks menus had plenty of variety without having too many things to choose from - chickpea curry was a favourite. The service was efficient and the ambience inside was lovely. Definitely worth a visit.
had a quick breakfast here with my wife and child. The service was quick. It had a nice vibe. Coffee good. My wife found her avocado meal a bit dull. Mine was pretty good. Will go back for the decent coffee!
Two friends and I had a shared dinner at Kettle and Tin last night and I can't fault them. Service was quick and friendly and the food was divine! The salt and pepper squid was so tender it melted in our mouths and the duck taquitos were amazing. They were even kind enough to accommodate our request for sweet potato chips which aren't usually served at dinner. It was great value - including two spirits each, the total bill came to about $90.

Was here during the week with a friend and heard many wonderful things before I set foot into the door. I guess the expectations were too high hence the experience wasn't as good as what was anticipated. The burger tasted nice but not excellent, bun was slightly soggy from the veges within and could use a little bit of time in the oven to give it an extra crunchy surface. The salads were great though, and so were the drinks. Overall the place is good and won't hesitate to return to try other dishes.
Just down the road, it's our local cafe and we love it! The coffee is good and service staff are welcoming. The restaurant has a great outlook of paddington.
great every time. amazing burger, delicious waffles... everything has always been great!
Very cute little place with nice atmosphere. Coffee was pretty good but not hugely impressed with the food. The savory waffles were nice but not huge value for money. Wished there was a bit more selection on the menu. Had a hard time deciding what to order because nothing jumped out at me as something I really wanted to try. Was ok, but not great.
Very fun atmosphere and great service from the friendly staff.my friends and I truly had a wonderful evening at this establishment.Thank you all for a great experience.
The ever reliable Paddington local, Kettle and Tin, is our go to for breakfast, lunch, dinner or bloody marys! It has a perfectly relaxed atmosphere and provides a great spot for people watching on Given Terrace. We recently dropped in for their all day breakfast and lunch and enjoyed their Big Kahuna burgers, a squid salad and one of my favourite Vietnamese dishes, banh xeo. The crunchy Vietnamese crepe was filled with pork, prawns and fresh herbs and served with a nuoc cham sauce. Whilst not as great as the traditional, it was an enjoyable rendition and an interesting lunch option. The fresh cold pressed juices are highly recommended also. We tried the kale, celery, green apple cucumber and lemon; as well as the watermelon, blueberry, grape and mint.
Great Everything. Our group sampled all of the entrees, all of the desserts, and many of the beers. All delicious and fast, at a very reasonable price. Great service on a public holiday. Cheers aye.
Outstanding. Lovely staff. Very attentive and keen to please. Delicious food and wide range of choices. Very reasonable waiting-for-meal period. Highly recommend. :-)
Dined for breakfast, two of our party had the roast pumpkin dish which was tasty and a nice change from generic breakfast options. The other one of us had the eggs benny which could have been jazzed up a bit for the price.
We sent back coffee, I believe if you order a flat white you shouldn't get 50% froth. Also the coffee was cold.
The service was great although felt rushed as some plates were cleared prior to all of our party finishing their meals. Fun atmosphere, trendy neighbourhood.
Lovely place, nice setting, food was nice enough.. Could be a bit tastier.. Coffee was very nice!
GREAT little spot in Paddo. Excellent staff service and attitude. Had 5 dishes for dinner and not a dud amongst them. Def try the duck nachos if you get the chance
Great food, Great coffee. Love this place. If you're looking for a good brew in Paddington, go here
Hard to Beat!. Quaint and cool venue in the heart of Paddo. It's very hard not to like this place, the food's good, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Tap beers are a bit on the pricey side (around $12 to $13 a pint), but combined with some duck fat chips and amazing dip it's hard to complain. One thing they should consider changing is Sunday live entertainment. 5PM is too late to start, and on the one time we did hang around the singer was doing a lot of heavy listening originals. True, it's not the venue to bang out 'Sweet Home Alabama', but contemporary covers would be a good choice.
Good Coffee, Good Food, GREAT Juice. I go to Kettle & Tin whenever I'mm looking for a good quality coffee, because they haven't let me down once! And if I'm ever not feeing like a hot beverage, I never get tired of trying one of their new fresh juice's - carrot, pineapple, beetroot, the list goes on! They have a great position in Paddington, and there are always people populating the place which just goes to show you how great the menu is and how well they do for themselves.
Lovely spot for breaky ... Coffee good ... Granola amazingly delish ... Staff helpful & friendly...
Breakfast was really delicious and a comfortable setting. Staff not all that friendly but attentive and efficient.
Coffee was bitter and lukewarm but to be fair it was the sunday morning rush. Maybe not as good value as other places but we really enjoyed our breakfast and the flavour and the quality of the food was great.
Failsafe Paddo Option. I've been here more times than I can remember now, for both breakfast and lunch. The food and service are always amazing. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu, and nothing has disappointed! Highly recommend.
Nice Lunch great coffee. Had the pulled pork roll and chips really enjoyed it! the pickle on top is also a good touch. Service was great and so was the coffee! will be back again for sure.
Will definitely be back!. Ordered the eggs benny with gravlax and it was scrumptious! Beautiful service with friendly staff and excellent coffee! Will be back very soon!
We had a group of 6 here for dinner and it was absolutely fantastic- everything from the chips to the lamb, the calamari and the goats cheese! The staff were so beautiful and arranged the cake I had made to be brought out with sparklers (at no extra cost)! Such a beautiful destination for a relaxed dinner!
Great brunch!. Note to establishments that the right staff mix and skills = very important! Especially on weekends and busy periods!
I had a great experience here and had one of the smaller affordable bites on the menu but was still satisfied. The service was good but TK&T have to be careful that a few of the waitresses don't become a little bit 'too cool for school', eyeing you here blondie!
The backyard is great and I'm anticipating that TK&T hold more events here!
Great lighting, seating, just great everything!
The coffee's were incredibly milky (perhaps the cup was too large?) or perhaps the barista was just over it today.
The only critique I could give is that the dessert were terribly disappointing (overpowering side elements such as the useless jam, no texture, oversweet) and that there weren't many fresh options such as juices, smoothies etc.
This is the ultimate go-to place for breakfast! My friend and I absolutely love Kettle & Tin, particularly the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the amazing, would die and go to heaven apple juice! The staff are ALWAYS friendly and the service is impeccable. Their food, which I could never fault even if I tried, always comes out not long after you place your order but not so quick so you can't enjoy the delicious coffee they've put in front of you.
I'm constantly raving on about Kettle & Tin to everyone I talk to and will continue to return, particularly after those big nights of drinking!
Amaze. Two words for you: Duck. Nachos. What else do you need to know? Get in the car now!! Trivia on Tuesday nights is also very fun and well run
Amazing food and service and it only cost $50 for a starter and two mains - great value!
Love it. I love this place - I am usually in on a weekend having a few wines. Their cocktails are amazing, and the staff are great. It has a really good vibe.
Fantastic! Will be back. Went for breakfast this morning. place was pretty busy but we were seated quickly, had order taken within a few minutes and had food within 15 mins. food was great - had the roasted pumpkin on toast and omelette. both were really delicious and not too expensive. service was fine - the waitresses were pretty busy so couldn't ask for much more. Will be back
Great service, fantastic coffee at a reasonable price. I'll be back!
My husband and I loved it here! It was our first time - we just moved over from Perth. The food was beautiful, I had the honey baked ham and my husband the Cajun chicken. And the service was some of the best we've ever had! Our lovely waitress - I think she said she was Canadian - also told us about dinner and showed us a menu so we could take a look. We will ABSOLUTELY be back!
Loved it! Service was fantastic, came over when we had late arrivals so they could order drinks then back for our lunch order with out us having to flag them down :) food was great - will be back!
Lots of fun. Great relaxed atmosphere, great menu, great cocktails. I've been here with my husband and also as a bigger group and it's always really good. Been meaning to get to their Trivia night.
Love it. Such a great breakfast!
Jet from gladiators hosting a millenium barndance at the yeoville aerodome. Or something like that. gold
I always enjoy going to kettle and tin! For afternoon drinks or dinner, it is always delicious. I had the fish its was amazing! The cocktails are great! And the service personal and friendly! A must when you are in paddington!
Lovely Dinner. I went to Kettle and Tin last night with a friend and we ordered two medium plate options.
Both were surprisingly large portions and the two dishes were sufficent for us.
The Kangaroo was beautiful and a really interesting flavour combination, I could have licked the plate!
The risotto of the day (prawn) was also quite tasty, however there were only 3 prawns in the dish, I would have liked one more!
I will definitely return
Awesome for some pre-drinks. Make sure you order a jug of Elmo!
New favourite breakky joint!. As a vegetarian, I'm used to limited and uninspiring menu options, but not so at Kettle and Tin! I chose the avocado with toasted pita, falafel and labneh, and my partner had mushrooms with Jerusalem artichokes, poached eggs and mushroom duxelle on sourdough. I loved the twist on the generic avocado on toast, and both meals were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. A great place for a relaxed breakky, and we look forward to coming back again soon!
Always a great breaky, long black perfectly poured. The new menu is great. Breakfast terrine with eggs and watercress salad is something a little out of the ordinary for breaky but was excellent. Keep it up!
Fantastic coffee, great breakfast and excellent service. Will definitely be back.
Brisbane all grown up!. Well that's how it felt when we walked in, tentatively at 2:30pm, having just been sent away from another restaurant in the area. Immediately the place had a great vibe, attentive waitresses that didn't use note pads (love that!). Nothing was too much trouble, service was brilliant, food was sensational, fresh, clean and quick. The atmosphere is fantastic, like Melbourne-in-Brisbane! Thank you. The bill came to a neat $50 or so - he had the eggs benedict from the all day breakfast menu, which looked amazing and he hoed in. I had the Risotto of the day which was perfect, served piping hot and with the freshest ingredients. We'll definitely be back. You need to head down to Riverside and show a few restaurants that way how things are done! Brilliant, we loved it!
I've been to kettle & tin three times now and would definitely keep going back. The service is really good, whether you going brekky, lunch or dinner (I have tried the different parts of the day) with a small group or large group. So friendly and attentive - a big thank you! The food is devine, lots a yummy gourmet eats, plenty to choose from. And drink options are good too. We even asked for some jam donut shots, the staff weren't aware of this shot, however were happy to create them for us based on the ingredients they had, which actually tasted better than the original type. The actual set up is great too. Thank you so much for creating this great little place in Paddington.
Excellent food, coffee and scrumptious juice! Service was impeccable.
Confit duck nachos! Awesome! Great food and great service as usual. Still the best place to eat in Paddington.
Great spot for a quick lunch & cider. Food is amazing! Will definitely be going back, not just for lunch but to try the amazing breaky menu too!
Food: delicious and quick. Staff: friendly and attentive. Cute little place for breakfast and eager to try the lunch. Just wish they had a bit more on the menu for those who don't like eggs, but I'm sure if you asked they would be able to work something out. Loved it.
Cute little place for breakfast..although the breakfast menu was a bit of a let down, not much variety which left me feeling disappointed. I had the omelette which was a little dry and quite flavorless my friend had the salmon eggs Benedict and said it was nothing too special. Both really enjoyed our coffees though and the service was excellent considering how busy it was on a Sunday. The atmosphere of the cafe is very lively which makes breakfast enjoyable. Next time I will try the lunch menu instead!
Went for the first time for breakfast and it did take quite a while to get our food. No complaints about the food, it was good, however this place will not become a regular as it is more expensive than our other breakfast haunts. Thier drinks list and lunch dinner menu looks interesting so we will come back and try that.
Fantastic!!. Great spot for breakfast love the fit out and the vibe. Ordered the eggs benedict as this is my favourite dish for brekkie. I can say that this is by far the best I have ever had in Brisbane. Friendly staff and great coffee. Will be back soon for sure!!
Nice addition to Paddo. We went for breakfast to Kettle and Tin and had a pleasant time. I ordered the hash cakes - delicious. It had corned beef pieces through it. My partner had sausages and eggs. No complaints. Good service, nice decor. I would like to go for dinner... looks packed most Fri/Sat nights.
Slowest service! The food was great but I wouldnt wait over half an hour for toast with avocado or eggs again.
Great Coffee, Av Breaky. Came here on a moderately busy Thursday morning for a bit of late breakfast with the gf and her mum. Ordered coffee first and then food. The two extra shot flat whites came out quickly, and were both the perfect temperature to be drunk straight away. Both were delicious, good balance of froth, crema and actual coffee. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash Cakes and my partner had a Chicken and Cous Cous salad. The Hash Cakes were disappointing, the corned beef used was lacking in distinct flavour and the hash cake itself was also largely flavourless. Sat on a thick cut of ciabatta with some simple tomato puree and thick balsamic for presentation, overall the meal was a let down. My partner said that her salad was fantastic and her mother also enjoyed her Chicken and Avocado bun so maybe I just got a bum dish, it was just especially disappointing after such delicious coffee. Will return as service staff were excellent.
Dined here on a super busy Saturday morning and was able to get a lovely table out the front to soak up some sunshine. Wait staff were super friendly and our orders were taken almost immediately. Coffees were delicious (when they eventually made their way to our table after being delivered to two different tables near us) and same problem with the food being delivered to the wrong table. However I'm sure these are just teething problems and the waitstaff will find their feet soon. Food was delicious but perhaps could hold back on the olive oil drizzle.
Lovely!. Came here for breakfast and me and my friends all loved our little dishes. The banana bread I got with ricotta cheese and a banana smoothie was very nice, the coffees and eggs benedict my friends got were very nicely done, too. I would definitely come back here again. Nice, new, little place!
A nice addition to busy Paddington cafe scene. I like Ponycat, so my expectation to this cafe was reasonably high. I arrived late so just had a cup of coffee, which was very nice. I hope it could be more spacious, maybe build a new deck where customers can sit down, relax and have meal and coffee while enjoying a nice view of the church on Red Hill. Lovely.
It was a hot Sunday afternoon, with the sun beating down and the back car park at Kettle and Tin transformed into an even hotter pots of boiling chilli for the huge crowds to sample and then vote on. There were a number of participants for 2014, some of which I knew pretty well, and some others that I'd never heard of before.
The prosciutto was the star of my meal, the extra saltiness along with the eggs, tomato and bread just completed it!!! The egg on its own would have been a little plain but with the prosciutto, it was perfect for taste! I thought that my portions was well balanced...
The big picture though is that I love Kettle & Tin... The food was beautiful in taste and presentation. The atmosphere light and uplifting and the staff superb! Of course I think you will expect teething problems from any new cafe especially one that has such a high volume of customers, but I think the team at K & T are doing an awesome job so far. You guys need to check this one out because I think it's a keeper... If your not fond of busy places perhaps come out on a quieter weekday. WWell worth it imo though.
the 2nd Annual Chilli Cookoff was held in the steamy backyard at Kettle & Tin Paddington. The event was one of the first to kick off the week long Brewsvegas events which are happening around the city.
The standout at Kettle and Tin was the service. Kat and I both thought the waitstaff were so polite and friendly. After our experience at Pompidou, we became very appreciative of good service and here, we got it. The beverages were great and the food on a whole was fresh and tasty. There were a few minor letdowns here and there but nothing to put me off going back and trying more.
I love weekends! After a busy and stressful week at work we always hunger for a hearty breakfast, but where can we find the best brekky in Brisbane? Recently Mr F came across the “Talk of the Town” on Urbanspoon Brisbane website and Kettle and Tin is one of the top newest attraction. We arrived at around 9am and it wasn’t as busy as we expected, the decor is chic and modern, simple and elegant! Interesting wall art by owner and graffiti artist Asa Boardman . The wine menu is written in a “homework booklet” style, so cute! I hope Little Monster is not studying hard behind it We ordered a Banana and Honey Smoothie for Little Monster and he absolutely loved it! Thick, rich, fully packed with bananas! Our coffee is from Giancarlo beans , nice, smooth, nothing to complain… Little Monster loves egg omelette so I ordered a Parmesan and Spinach Egg White Omelette, it’s nothing spectacular but we both loved it! Mr F ordered a Kettle & Tin’s Hearty Corned Beef Hash Cakes and he sai
Quaint little cafe on Latrobe terrace with a great outdoor area. Food was fantastic and the staff were friendly and helpful. Service was great too however due to covid we’re guessing the table service and the clearing away of glasses/plate staff was limited. I would definitely go again because the food was fabulous and the outdoor ambiance was welcoming and relaxing.
Gorgeous backyard, relax and very nice coffee. Healthy and so tasty food with lovely presentation.
Thanks for the hospitality, sure we will back! 😋
Lovely cafe in Paddington. Have visited several times and the food has always been great. Enjoyed their special of French toast today, highly recommend! Coffee consistently good and staff are always friendly! ☺️
Good cafe in Paddington, great home vibe, nice gardens outside, pet friendly. Food is great, good serving size, the handmade hashbrowns are a must try! 👍
We decided to have an early (around 8.30am) breakfast at Sassafras on a Sunday morning.
The facade of the venue as well as the inside decor is very homely, and feels as though you were walking through your neighbour’s house, the indoor seating looked a bit cramped and loud so we opted for backyard seating which was very comfortable and quiet.
We were greeted swiftly upon arrival, given seating options as well as food and drinks menus.
We ordered drinks first, from a menu with a lot of variety, including juices, smoothies, shakes, non-caffeinated hot drinks and classic coffee options.
We picked the cold drip, shot of espresso, and a turmeric latte. All drinks came relatively quickly and were very well made, the cold drip was not bitter, had great flavour, and the turmeric latte had a good amount of spices and heat.
Shortly before receiving our drinks we had ordered our food, the menu selection for breakfast was very appetising, and there was a wide range of options of varying dietary restrictions.
We noticed there was a specials’ board hanging on the wall, though unfortunately that was not brought to our attention by our server.
After much deliberation we finally decided to share two plates: the corn fritters with extra smoked mushrooms and the ricotta hotcakes, with extra banana and maple syrup.
The food arrived promptly and piping hot. Everything looked house-made and of great quality, well presented with a good amount on each plate.
The corn fritters were quenelled then deep fried, which was a great twist on the usual pancake-style pan fried version, and tasted great, all the flavours paired together on the plate worked impeccably well together.
The ricotta hot cakes were some of the best executed we have had in the past, a very rich dish with ricotta throughout the batter mix, the honey butter which topped it all off complemented it perfectly and made for a very filling and gourmand breakfast.
By the time we were ready to leave, the venue had become bustling with customers and we were thankful to have come in early. We had an overall great experience at Sassafras, and we would highly recommend it for a delicious breakfast, though be sure to get in early or book your table to avoid crowds on a weekend.

We had really good brunch.
Service and food was so good.
Definitely come back w my doggie.
My doggie enjoyed doggie ice cream which was really bit expensive but worth it for ur cute dog 😄
I love environment and atmosphere!
Interior was green and nature style.
Sooo good!
Service was super friendly, unfortunately we came at a crowded time so food took a little while to arrive. However the food was delicious and fruit juices were made fresh. Eggs bennys were pipping hot and soba salad was refreshing and a generous portion.
