Had been meaning to try here for a while and based on the reviews was looking forward to it. The service was quick and a flat corkage fee I appreciate, the food was good but not exceptional. My biggest whinge was we where so tightly packed as a table of four I kept bumping elbows with the gentlemen at the next table and to leave they to had to get up and move to allow us out. Overall it's a yes I would go back but with a lowered expectation I might enjoy it more.
Always an excellent meal and great value. Tried a few dishes and yet to disappoint, a regular favorite. They also do delivery locally thru another webpage called menu log!
A great Thai restaurant at the top of Cambridge Parade. Very tasty, efficient and friendly service. Comfortable dine in area that is quiet and mood lit.
Thai Boat has amazingly fresh, tasty food. I love Thai food especially after travelling through Thailand. This is some of the best & freshest Thai food I've had in Oz. Locals on the street even walked up to us recommending the restaurant. (BTW we found out it has been under new management for the last year or so - excellent!)

Amazing food and service! For my partner's birthday dinner he requested that we have thai, not just any thai, he wanted a whole fish with a special salad that he has had in west end. So on my way home from work I dropped into thai boat a cople of days before hand to check out the menu. The staff member who I later found out is Kay, the owner, must have seen the disappointment on my face when I saw that they did not have whole fish. She advised that if I wanted something that was not on the menu she would go to the makets and get whatever was needed. Two day later we had the most amazing meal, my patner commented it was better than the fish at west end. We also had the fish cakes that we were delish and I had the duck curry off the menu that was sweet and tender and one of the be at I've had. Kay was friendly and attentive, she advised that they have only had the restaurant for 6 mths. This must explain the average rating because with the service and quality of food I have no hesitation giving it 5/5!
Enjoyed the banquet for 2 last night - beautiful food and great service ! Especially enjoyed the chicken red curry.
Don't miss the boat. Many Manly chefs need to close the kitchens early so they can watch MKR or Master Chef to get some fresh ideas. This is not the case for Thai Boat. The kitchen stays open after 8pm. Chef cooks great food and owner even finds time each weekend to teach so you can attend classes and learn to cook authentic Thai food. There is a rewards card. This is a restaurant with a soul!
As for me I am mighty glad the boat moored in manly, open till late, great service, and always good food. Try the usual range of colored curries, red, green and yellow, also green paw paw salad, Spicy beef salad, and pud Thai. As my dining mate doesn't like food as spicy hot as I, a side of fresh chopped chillis in soy sauce livens up my plate.
This restaurant is licensed. unfortunately charges $2:90 for rice (a pet hate!)

I've been to Thai Boat a few times and it's definitely my go to dine in Thai and would recommend! The food is great quality and made within decent time. The quality of the food is exceptional with flavours that beat other Thai takeaways.
The staff and service is great and the wait staff do assist when you need to.
What was great with my recent visit was a follow up call prior to attending to ensure the booking was still happening. Being a popular restaurant it was completely understandable.
I do really like that there is a takeaway option so you can enjoy the delicious meals at home.
Delicious! Best Pad Thai I've ever had. Ordered via Menulog and it arrived quicker than they first said. Definitely will be back. If your looking for a Thai food, don't go past Thai Boat
Delightful Thai restaurant with a small venue but very friendly staff - expect cosy atmosphere however it is welcoming like a family diner
Absolutely wonderful service. Despite it being busy and understaffed, the waitress was so lovely and honest. Food and drinks were very nice too
This is our favourite Thai restaurant. We are always warmly welcomed by Kay. We return time and time again, especially for the Roast Duck and Crispy Pork.
