We had our first experience dining at cruisers tonight and we loved it! Hubby got the reef and beef and it was cooked perfectly. I had the grilled chicken and it was beautiful.

The food was awesome. Best pasta I've had in ages. The service was excellent as well couldnt understand why it was so quiet there. We were the only people there at 7.30 on a friday night. It has great food and in a good position......very surprising
Had breakfast this morning, good food, good coffee and good service. Mine was the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, Eleanor had the Mediterranean, both really good.
Great coffee but even better cakes,eat in or take away,the teachers at the Hamilton Primery school love the cakes.

Excellent service! Went here for the first time with a friend because we won a Portside Wharf Facebook competition. We had a lovely evening meal (Carbonara and Steak w/ mushroom sauce) in the alfresco dining area. An immaculate restaurant in a nice setting. The food was great and the owner even gave us some extra free pulled duck on bread to sample the recipe (first asking if we could eat duck). For dessert, we had 2 slices. I highly recommend the dark chocolate and cherry ripe slice. Kudos to this restaurant for making a huge effort to remove all single-use plastic as well.

My friend and I won a voucher for this restaurant on the Portside Wharf Facebook page and honestly this is probably now my favourite place to eat Carbonara! My friend and I had a reservation at 7:30pm on the 21st of December.When we arrived their we were seated in a really sweet area that wasn’t too loud - we ordered the Fettucine Carbonara and the Rump Steak (200g) with Mash and Veggies. To start off I haven’t really tried Carbonara before so having it here definitely set the standard high for others that I will go to next! The sauce I think was a winner because it really made the dish taste great! My friend enjoyed her steak and overall it was a lovely dining experience here. The manager was also so kind to serve us some Duck and Pork Terrine and that really ended my night on a amazing note! If you haven’t already I recommend coming here for a sweet girls/ date night -you will definitely end the night satisfied! On another note I think this restaurant should really be applauded for their take on the environment by cutting down their waste also promoting their sustainability efforts at their banner! Amazing stuff!
Great food and terrific service
This is a great bistro with a lovely outdoor dining area at Portside. Our friend suggested it for lunch. The menu is good with something on it to suit everyone. The service was amazing (really warm and genuine), the food was really good and the coffee was excellent. This is a lovely place to enjoy breakfast and lunch or even just a coffee.
Visited this cafe for breakfast. It’s a very nice cafe. The service was fantastic, quick and high quality. Staff were very attentive. We had vegetarian delight and pancake and both were quite nice. Would be better if they add more vegetarian options. Coffee was also beautiful. We will visit again.
The owners of Cruisers Alfresco (Michael and Diana) work very hard to keep their diners/visitors comfortable. The food is amazingly fresh and the menu varied with great value! Dining "ALFRESCO" adds to the experience. There is no need to go into Brisbane center for a great dining experience when you can simply get off the cruise ship and walk a few steps to this covered bar/restaurant! Have done a bit of a face lift cruisers is looking pretty good. We went there for breakfast and was happy with the food and service. Eggs where cooked well and very nice size. Service was pretty good. Loved the coffee, a must for a breakfast cafe. The price is pretty good compared to places around. The menu range is pretty stock standard for breakfast. Ill come back.
Friends had a 1-year-old birthday party there, I totally understand is hard to manage a kid's party, and I think they have done a good job.
I got a duck croquettes served with hollandaise sauce - is like pulled duck in it, didn't expect too much of it...but it turns out surprised me. A smoked salmon and avocado salad for main- the main size is pretty small to say, but i guess we got birthday cake afterward so everyone is happy.
and the COFFEE was AWESOME. oh i had an orange juice earlier,,,, seeing the orange squeezing machine at the bar....but the juice came out didn't seem like having all the meaty orange in it...wonder if i order with "fresh orange juice" or they mix the fresh one and the bottle one together.
Settings: Is really windy since is close to the wharf and is just under the roof all opened for the wind to blow in, was a little chili for us the adults...since the kids move around but we just sat there for the whole time (suggestion: bring a jacket, get your hair tied up)
Cruisers Cafe, Bar and Grill is a family owned and run business committed to deliver great food with excellent value. Located in Portside Wharf, it surrounds itself with the bubbly environment as well as free parking is also available which is great. Though it does not have the waterfront view but this should not direct you away from the restaurant as it is a place where you can have a family dinner, dates or even catch ups at. I have been to Portside Wharf many times before but have not dined at Cruisers before hence when given the opportunity to try their food and dine there, I thought why not?

I dined at Cruisers recently and it was a very positive and enjoyable experience. Our host and owner Michael and his staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. I had the naughty pork crackling and cheesy garlic bread for starters, the eye fillet steak for main and a selection of desserts to finish off with. The pork crackling was cooked to perfection, light and crispy from start to finish with just the right dusting of salt (I felt very naughty after eating two pieces). The cheesy garlic bread was cheesy and garlicky and quite delicious too. I ordered the eye fillet - medium rare with (field) mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes and veggies which comprised of a well proportioned side of sauteed broccoli. The steak was cooked beautifully. It was tender and delicious as was the mushroom sauce. I ordered a piece of raspberry and white chocolate gateau (freshly made earlier that same day) to go, which they happily set aside in a take away container with a generous helping of fresh cream. I later finished the gateau off in very quick fashion as it was scrumptious. It was solid yet light, not sickly sweet but again just right. In the meantime back at Cruisers we (a table of five) shared the passionfruit cheesecake and chocolate fudge brownie/cookie with ice cream for dessert. Both equally scrumptious. I particularly like cheese cake and their passionfruit cheesecake was delicious. I fought hard to not eat more than my fair share (I may have failed). Pricing was commensurate with quality of food and the location.
I definitely recommend Cruisers to anyone wanting a delicious meal in a relaxing environment at a reasonable price. I will definitely be going again.
Excellent coffee! The milk was velvety, the chocolate in my mocha was delicious, and the caffeine hit was just what we needed. Will definitely grab coffee here again.
A cruise ship had just arrived in Port when we arrived here for breakfast hence very busy! We managed to find a seat outside for the sake of the pooch. Service was very swift considering the crowd. Coffee was OK although short on crema. Food simple enough. I ordered avocado which was tasty & chunky with plenty of feta laced through. All up cheap & cheerful
Wow what a surprise! We went to this resturaunt because of the other reviews on this site and it was fantastic. It clearly had a crowd of regulars as the owner knew many customers by name and that gave the place a warm atmosphere. We each had steaks and they were beautifully cooked and presented. The prices were very reasonable. The service from the owner and the staff was fantastic - a standard we have rarely had in a number of other more prestigious places. We highly recommend going.

Yummy food and great service. I have experienced many crappy restaurants in Brisbane but this is not one of them. I have been here 3 times now and it has been brilliant every time.
The food is delicious and the staff are so attentive and lovely which is rare these days.

A yummy dinner. We found this restaurant accidentally after the Eat Street Markets were cancelled and what a find!! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I had the Barrimundi with greens and homemade Rosti and my husband had the Pork Belly. We finished it off with a sticky date pudding to die for!! Both of our meals were just delicious. Kade looked after us all night and he was fantastic!! We will definitely return to this little restaurant.
Nor Sure. I'm a little undecided about Cruisers. I ordered the Seafood Chowder. It wasn't brimming with seafood as expected and was more like eating a bowl of very creamy soup. Somehow the consistency was just wrong (too smooth) and the flavour too bland. My son had the kids' calamari and chips which had just 2 calamari rings (nowhere near enough for most kids). However, my partner had the haloumi burger and it looked (and apparently tasted) delicious. It was a generous serve with a fresh, imaginative salad. The apple crumble tasted good but I was reliably informed by both my eating partners that the topping wasn't as good as my home-made one. I'd give Cruisers another go as they may improve and it wasn't terrible - just not as good as the highly competitive Portside precinct demands for sustainable success.
Fantastic lunch. Thanks to the staff of Cruisers we enjoyed a sensational lunch there today. We happened upon the restaurant by chance but would highly recommend it to others.

It's good. One flat white. One cappuccino. One big breakfast. Fast, great tasting. Not cheap, but this is Portside, so duh! Service was very good. I'd return again.
Had one of the dinner specials, entree main dessert & wine. Really enjoyed everything- good atmosphere but usually very quiet so can surprisingly have an intimate dinner. Staff were great and made sure we enjoyed everything.
Had breakfast here this morning, eggs Benedict was above average with some very nice smoked salmon. The coffee was one of the best I have had. Go for the coffee alone
NIce Brekky. I went to Portside to collect my parents who were returning from a cruise. They have been to Cruisers before and said that they were happy although I was dubious after seeing some of the reviews.
The breakfast that we had was lovely, eggs were poached as ordered and done properly, accompanied by lovely grain toast and all nice and warm. Coffee and drinks came out in good time and best of all the soy milk in my cappucino wasn't burnt as I have experienced in so many other northside breakfast places.
They were busy but the service was prompt and every efficient.
The meals were simple and unfussy but we thought good value for money and couldn't find a thing to dislike. The positioning on the driveway, near the road is not great but the elevated position gives some help with that. I would certainly go there again.

Excellent. My partner and i and a friend from the UK decided to look for a nice restaurant for dinner and came across Cruisers, having read the reviews on this restaurant i too was a bit apprehensive BUT like all reviews i look at i take 90% of it as personal taste as unless you happen to be the worlds greatest food critic i find most people who do critics are either ordinary people or some one who thinks they know how to cook.
I decided to take a chance and well i can't fathom what a lot of the bad reviews were about i ordered the battered Prawns as an entrée and a the chicken bernaise my partner had the Duck pate and so did my friend and they ordered the fettuccine and the pork belly.
the staff were attentive to our needs and after taking orders the starters arrived in a timely fashion, to my surprise not only was it relatively quick but also it was HOT not like some restaurants where u go to and i have been to a few 5* restaurants in Brisbane and they could learn a thing about HOT food not warm.
The Manager Michael asked me if i liked Calamari and i said i am not a fan of it as it is usually like eating a rubber band, so he said i have cooked a little piece for you to try and see what you think well with a little trepidation i bit into this rubber band and to my shock and surprise it melted in my mouth there was no toughness in it at all, i bit into my battered Prawns expecting the usual toughness you get even in 5* places it has been a bit tough again this melted in my mouth they were succulent and were a delight to eat.
I asked my dining partners as to the quality of their starters and each one was very impressed with the pate saying it was one of the better pate's that they have eaten. The mains again arrived in a timely fashion, the chicken was succulent not tough dry the pork belly according to my partner melted in her mouth the crackling was even better than my Fathers and he was a Qualified Chef not a cook but a Chef who was Fellow of the Catering Institute of Australia, the friends fettuccine was excellent.
As for the position I have never been to this Portside precinct before but we did have a look around and one reviewer said it was a up market precinct I fathom to see how a Eagle boys pizza shop and numerous other Takeaways and a cinema and a IGA supermarket be classified as up market, it is a nice looking area yes but the view is of a car park and a road, but are you there to admire the view or enjoy the company of your friends or partner if so find a RIVER side eatery not a eatery that is not on the river but near it.
I have never reviewed a restaurant before purely because to me online reviews can and will be taken as granted, even Hotel reviews i really take with a grain of salt if i get there and yes it is as bad then that's my bad luck but from my experience 99% of bad reviews are from people who set their expectations far to high instead of going in an being honest and say wow that was ok it was not the best but hey we enjoyed ourselves, as for the reviewer who said they were asked to leave as other patrons were waiting I HAVE been asked in a 5* hotel to leave the breakfast as there were other Patrons waiting to be served, its a business not a charity so be considerate of your fellow Patrons as well it is called GOOD MANNERS

I've only been to cruisers a handful of times and I've only really had the coffee so I'll start with that. I think they have amazing coffee. Ive never had a bad coffe there. Tonight I actually ate their food ( pork belly) and I have to say I enjoyed it. I found it very tasty. I tried some chicken and though it was great, I don't think I can cook chicken that well. The only disagreeable thing to me was the portion size, especially in relation to the cost. I admit I would have liked to see more but then again don't they say that Australians eat too much? But every cloud has a silver lining. Though the meal seemed small it left just enough room for dessert which I have to say definitely made up for any disagreements I may have had with the meal. I think they could easily make their fortune through coffees and cakes alone. I must also say that the staff are lovely, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Also our meals arrived in record timing. All in all I enjoyed myself and I think other critics of this restaurant should not be so quick to judge it so harshly.
Good quality, great service. Went for dinner friday night, steaks were cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Served promptly by friendly, efficient staff. The whole table enjoyed their meals as well as the atmosphere of cruisers. Great night out!!
Love the coffee here!. I went to Cruisers Cafe Bar and Grill to have a quick catch up coffee with my friend yesterday. The coffee was awesome- so much so that I bought a second cup to take away with me. I had one of their desserts too which was really nice. Definitely going to go back soon.
Great food and great atmosphere. I went to Cruisers for lunch today and found it to be a lovely relaxing restaurant with a nice chilled out atmosphere.
I found the staff to be really friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent. I ordered the lamb shanks which were delicious and the vegetables were cooked to perfection - I don't like mushy vegetables! The price was reasonable as well. I also had a coffee and a dessert, which were very nice.

Very spacious and parking available for 3 hours upon presentation of your ticket to be validated at the cashier to claim your free parking. Excellent customer service. Huge selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the garlic prawn risotto, the beef and reef, poke bowl, mixed seafood grill and crispy pork belly with crackling and mixed steamed veggies. Every dish ordered today was cooked beautifully. Serving portions were average. 👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐
Always love enjoying a meal or coffee at Cruisers. They serve the best breakfast in the world! Great little cold box with amazing desserts to choose from. Friendly staff and prompt service. Awesome idea converting the carpark into promenade seating. Love the luggage storage area for cruise ship passengers.
Service was prompt and so was receiving our food! From sitting down, to paying, probably took only half an hour on a Saturday morning. Food is decent, but reasonably priced, so this would be a good option for a family outing or if you are just looking for a cheap breakfast.
Food was fine and tasty, staff friendly. We needed to be somewhere and they got our food out to us in plenty of time to eat comfortably and not have to rush.
