Excellent smashed avo with crisp bread and cherry tomatoes. Perfect size. Good soy latte. Very friendly service. Ideal location near Convention Centre.
Rating for coffee only: street vendor was open early to catch the early workers. Grabbed a cap for the walk and enjoyed it. Not an overly strong flavour but still got a little pep in my step!
Whenever I visit Olio the staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly. They are just out of the main food area of South bank but in close walking distance from the cultural centre, convention centre and South bank train station. On this visit I ordered the Chicken, Avocado, Corn and Salad Wrap which came on one of those green spinach wrap breads. I got it toasted at no extra charge. It was delicious the flavours worked really well together. The rest of the menu is a combination of rolls, salads and basic cafe style food. They have gourmet options at affordable prices.
Highly recommend for lunch. About 15 of us had coffee and then returned for lunch at Olio. They had set up so that we could all sit at one table.
The food was very reasonably priced, fresh and delivered quickly to the table. Several times they came around to check that everything was to our liking. Clearly focussed on customer service. Well done Olio!
Love the tapas. Went here for lunch and thought the food and service was great. the staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu
Diana. Only had time for a quick coffee at Olio & I found the staff to be obliging & friendly in an efficient way. The coffee was quite passable & loved the spacious airy room.
Gluten Free Friendly. Great fresh food - best gluten free toasted sandwich i have ever had!

The food was very nice little bit on the small side but good quality the menu was very basic about 6 entees and about 6 mains to choose from the service was very good nice decor also plus validated our parking for the convention centre only costed 8 bucks apposed to south bank park lands $$$
Great little spot. I attended a two day conference last week at BCEC, and visited Olio three times. The first time I was in need of a coffee, but also had just received some fairly emotional personal news, and the staff were completely lovely to me. I also asked about what champers they had (the news deserved a drink), and when they didn't have quite what I wanted, they arranged to have a bottle of French bubbles brought over from somewhere else in the complex so it would be there at the end of the conference day.
The next morning I ordered a ham and cheese croissant, which was very tasty, great cheese on it. I also had lunch there that day with two friends - I had the steak sandwich - again, very tasty. Asparagus and onion rings on the sandwich, and it came with good chips and a spiced mayo.
The prices were reasonable for a conference centre cafe, and the food and the staff (particularly the staff) get two big thumbs up from me.
I thought Olio had a really good selection of lunch-time food options. I would have liked to try one of their salads because I've heard a mention on Twitter that they're supposed to be really good.
