Chilli oil wontons (pork) $12.8 - very flavourful. A little too much sugar and salt sprinkled on top. 4.5/5
Coriander and lamb dumplings (pan-fried) $12.8 - nice and crispy on the outside and soupy on the inside. 5/5
Pork and chive pancake $6.8 - filling was very dry, and did not contain a lot of pork. A little too crispy, especially in the areas that was just overlapping pastry. 2/5
Thank you for the Fork’s promo that we had a 30% off dinner at this dumplings eatery last month. Walked in this branch and found that our table was the only Chinese group on that night.
Perused the menu and decided to have the cumin Lamb rib, wasabi prawns, dumplings and braised lamb noodle soup.
I appreciate the varieties of food on the menu but they seem to be modified for the local market and lack of authenticity.
Overall, production is fast and good but service is a bit robotic and lack of passion (it seems to be common in a busy eatery). Hero of the night is still the signature dumplings. Lamb ribs are not bad and so as the prawns but braised lamb seems too greasy.
Rating 3.5/5
I love the dumplings so much, very flavoursome sauces.
They also have good veg options, I would definitely recommend trying it.
Scrumptious dumplings!! Ordered their Braised Beef Noodle Soup (non-spicy soup base) and their pan-fried pork dumplings. Loved that they also had lots of different non-alcoholic drinks to choose from - anything lychee I must have so I got their Lychee Soda to wash it all down. Wish they had some sort of option where you could order a bunch of different dumplings so you could try more than just the one flavour without having to coordinate with other people in your group. In saying that though, still keen to come back to try more of their dumplings!!
Was recommended to come to little red for the first time. Dumplings were really good,.highly recommend the lamb dumpling however the xiaolongbao could really be alot better, the skin were abit too thick it, soup and meat were good but ive definitely had better at a few other places
Big fan of this dumpling place. We tried most of the menu items and were very impressed. The dumplings of course are AMAZING!
Some good beer options to pair with your food, cool venue and great staff.
Some of the best dumplings I've had in Brisbane. Will definitely be back again.
It's a bit of a trek to get there if you're walking and not in West End, but we were glad we did.
Oh and P.S - Pork and chive: 👍👌👌
This is my go to for dumplings! I get super excited when a place is open for a late lunch so it keeps me coming back. We always get too much for us to handle but no doubt eat it all. The fried dumplings here are to die for!
Stunning flavors and generous portions. My partner and I will be back again and again to try everything on the menu!
We went on a wednesday evening and the atmosphere was busy but cosy. It’s a lovely place to sit inside or out.
Also if you’re a tea drinker like me, $4 for a large pot is GREAT value AND tastes delicious.
An impromptu decision to dine here last night was pretty rewarding.
Service was great, we had 4 different types of dumplings washed down by some Chinese beer and we both left agreeing that we’d be back soon.
Great little place for a drink and some dumplings.
Get a few little dishes and share with a group so you can try as much as you want.
Will be back for more dumplings!
I actually wasn’t expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. We tried the pork and chive dumplings, steamed prawn dumplings and chicken and prawn deep fried dumplings. They were all really tasty with awesome flavourful filling, my favourite was the pork dumplings. I got a red smash drink which was huge but really yum too. I’d definitely go back if the dumpling craving hit again!
We had a good impromptu date night dinner here, ordering dumplings, wontons, noodles and veggies in various guises. The food was tasty and the flavours strong. The pastry on the dumplings was silky, and the sauces very robust and flavoursome! The wontons with spicy red sauce in particular had a nice Sichuan pepper numbness to it - very good. It’s slightly on the pricey end, but I found the quality good enough to go there again.
The food here was great! The portions were huge and they stuffed each dumpling with so much meat! The noodles were tasty but a tad too oily for our liking. I'd definitely come back again to have their wontons in Chilli sauce. It was spectacular!
Good xiaolongbao. Just get the ordinary one. No point getting the crab flavored since it doesn't make a big difference. Unfortunatly they didn't have the pan fried bun. Otherwise the noodles were great. In my opinion not as good as new Shanghai..
The food was amazing and good value for the price!
I got the "braised lamb noodle soup" the meat was incredible, it was a bit spicy but still really good
The food was was awesome and excellent friendly service. The chilli wantons are banging, highly recommended. Thank you for a great experience.
Went here with a couple of friends and ordered pretty much everything on the menue. Can't find a fault with any of the food, it was all great and came out reasonably quickly particularly as it was very busy.
Service was ok but could have been a little more attentive, particularly as we went through the beers quite quickly. Great for the price.
Generous serves of food. The chicken and prawn dumplings are fantastic! Service can be a bit hit and miss. Generally good and friendly. Great spot for lunch. Gets pretty busy, so grab a table as soon as you can.
Love the handmade dumplings. It tastes fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. Nice dine-in vibe and friendly and attentive staff. Would defnitely visit again coming to Brisbane next time.
Pretty good. Dumplings were authentic, staff were friendly! Good value for money. Nice decor and atmosphere. Toilets could use a makeover! (A bit too authentic)
A friend and I ate here on a busy Sunday night. We loved the funky, relaxed atmosphere and the interesting drinks. The shrimp dumplings were amazing, containing chunks of fresh prawn, although the portions were far from generous. On the other hand, the dumplings took about 20 minutes to arrive, and the drinks even longer. Then again, the dumplings were worth the wait and we will no doubt be back for more in future!
Big fan. Very big fan. Have been following them for many years now. Awesome hand made dumplings. You have to try them. They are really good.
What an awesome little restaurant. Open plan kitchen, friendly wait staff. A menu with all your favorites and some interesting extra treats. Quite possibly the best dumpling house I've been to on the east coast. Ingredients you can see and flavors you want to taste again and again. Definitely a must do for the dumpling lover. Amazingly priced menu!!! Licensed venue, for small groups/couples. Om nom nom 🍜
Everything tasted fresh and like it was made in-house. My partner ordered the lamb soup which was amazing. I was left a little underwhelmed by the vegetarian soup. Felt like a token 'veggie' add on rather then a thoughtful dish. That being said, the dumplings and chicken entree were tops.. We'll be back.

Review no. 300 - Quite possibly the best dumplings I've had in Brisbane!
It was sheer luck that I popped into Little Red Dumpling to kill some time before Quan Thanh opened, but I am so grateful that I ended up here.
I began with the Shanghai Xiao Long Bao ($6). The dumpling skin was thin and they were bursting with flavourful soup. They were slightly thick at the top, likely indicating that the chef applied too much pressure doing them up, but they were really good and were worthy of a 4 rating.
Next came the Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, which were amazing - possibly the best I've ever had. I wouldn't change a thing with these dumplings and rate them a 5.
At this point I seriously considered blowing off my search for Brisbane's best curry puff and ordering more dumplings.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning at Little Red Dumpling was having a hard time keeping up with oppressive heat outside. Despite being one of only five patrons in the restaurant, my first course took over twenty minutes to arrive. Both of the above, coupled with the tiny table pressed against the wall and the tiny chair, convinced me it was time to move along.
Overall I would rate Little Red Dumpling a 4. I am looking forward to returning and to trying their Sunnybank location.
I have a serious food baby happening because of this place. Delicious food, very clean flavours. Service was quick and efficient - the food hit the table within 10 minutes of ordering and the decor/ambience was excellent. A bit of miscommunication saw my drink arrive well into us eating but wasn't a major issue at all. Will happily go back again and eat myself into yet another food daze.
Wanting to know what all the fuss was about I finally decided to go here and boy was I impressed. The table I was seated at wasn't all to big but it did the job.
Staff very well informed about the food when questioned. Food arrived very quickly and my god it was good!!! The spice wasn't overpowering at all and the soy sauce was great! Ambiance is excellent and price was superb!! Definitley worth going back to!
The food came out very quickly and is very well priced. The service wasn't extremely quick though, I would definitely try the venue again to try other dishes.
Delicious dumplings. Very fast service and good value for money. Ordered the Pork and chives, pan fried pork & chicken and cabbage. My favourite was the pork and chives. These dumplings taste so fresh, the dough is perfect and the filling had so much flavour. Will be coming back to try their xiao long bao.

Not your average dumpling venue. Great location in west end Hardgrave road district. The serving are substantial and the selection bountiful. Service is good and the value for money excellent.
You must visit this restaurant if you are after dumplings.
Great place and service too.
I'm finally writing this review
After 2 visits in less than 2 weeks. I think I must
The chili chicken is soooooooo good, the beef brisket noodles and lamb rice upholds the same level of yum.
Naturally, my expectations of the dumplings were high and it hasn't totally hit the mark. New Shanghai still makes the best xiao long bau and pan fried pork buns in my opinion.
It's a great dumpling restaurant, friendly service, quick to serve your food. Very well deserved 4.5 stars
Steamed veggie dumplings are vegan and are delicious - good filling. 4/5⭐️
Vegetable noodle soup is vegan if you order it with rice noodles instead of egg. Rice noodles are very satisfying and the soup is nice. 3.5/5⭐️
Wish I got the veggie spring rolls too.
The decoration is outstanding around this area as well as the food! I've been to their old shop in sunnybank and so glad I don't need to travel that long for the same delicious food now! Pan fried Pork Dumplings and Pork Chive Dumplings are highly recommended. The beef and chicken noodles are my best love too!
YUMMMMMM!!!!! I'm so happy this place exists. The xiao long bao is heaven. Their first business is in Sunnybank and we're so lucky they've now come to West End.
Really good dumplings, everyone should get the xia long bao. Just so great. Byo wine and a good range of alcoho, been here a lot of times since it opened.

Some of the best dumplings I've had in Brisbane!
Incredible value for money, great fitout and it's BYO!
Cold chilli chicken dish and steamed vegetables were faves along with the dumplings. Will want to book on weekends or be prepared to wait, it's a popular spot and will get even more so.
Great new little addition to the Hardgrave strip. Best dumplings in Brisbane that I've had. Small venue so might have to wait for a table on weekends. We went and they've not gotten their license yet so it was BYO. In my opinion they should keep the BYO option to remain competitive on that street. Great juices & smoothie options too.
The dumplings were probably the best I've had in Brisbane. The servings are generous and the price is really reasonable. We had some soups too, which were awesome! They tasted like real stocks, lots of depth to the broth and delicious chewy noodles. I've been back 3 times this week...
What a great little local find! The dumplings here are prepared daily inhouse , by hand from locally sourced ingredients. The atmosphere is chillaxed and buzzing at the same time. The food is delicious. The staff were friendly and the service is quick. The scan QR code ordering system is great and easy to use. The plates came out quickly and their chicken and cabbage dumplings, chicken and prawn dumplings and Dumplings in Sweet Soy Chili Sauce were tasty!!!! 🥟
Ordered the beef noodle soup (requested for less spicy) , boiled chicken and prawn dumplings and the fried chicken bao buns. Food came out quickly and everything was good and we were not disappointed in any of it. The only thing I would suggest for improvement will be the air-conditioning. It was such a hot summers day and the restaurant wasn't cooling enough I was sweating throughout lunch.
This is a very trendy little restaurant along the Hardgrave Road restaurant strip In West End.
The vegetarian dumplings here are excellent, as are the vegetarian noodles and the shallot pancakes.
The staff are also friendly and the fit-out is very cool.
BEST LUNCH EVER!!! Went with a few mates just ordered a heap of everything, o m g $180 filled 3 grown men and love it. The service fast and friendly. Do yourself favour go and pig out.
