Review Deedot Coffee House - Brisbane

I find it hard to select other than the Deedot breakfast - it’s so complete and satisfying. Well priced. The efficient friendly staff always manage to laugh at my banal frivolity. This all day breakfast really is enough for the whole day. Fresh fast and extremely tasty.

Enjoyed a quick lunch here a week back. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food choices were good and what we ordered hit the spot. Batch brew coffee was very good also. 👌

We came in for late coffee and my girls had the waffle & we had mushroom + palenta. Asbolute love it and will be back again. The service was fast, friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was good.

Really great breakfast for my Christmas Eve! Had lovely scrambled eggs on toast with bacon and loved it. Paired with a tasty iced mocha. Yum!!! Didn't take a picture before I devoured it cause I couldn't wait! But here's half.

Ducked in even though had no intention of stopping for coffee.. has a very inviting vibe to it. Great coffee; courteous staff. If I can judge the book by it’s cover.. food should be great too.

Fantastic pet friendly venue. Tasty coffees and juices. I wish I had the time to eat a proper breakfast but time was the essence and chose food from the counter top instead.

After a terrible morning we were able to come straight in, sit with our group and just enjoy catching up with good food and pleasant atmosphere no pressure. Just what I needed today. I will definitely be back here again.

Finally got to try this place after a friend recommendation. Staff were friendly and polite even though I arrived near the closing time. Managed to get the Banana Bread and it was the best Banana Bread I have had so far. Coffee was also at the perfect temperature despite it being a takeaway order. Will definitely return! :)

Have not been back over ten months so made a trip to explore yesterday.
I dare to say that this cafe should be the best at the Holland Park area.
I arrived very early so was the first table to dine in if the day. Although I intended to order my default brekkie, I changed my mind when I saw the freshly croissant sitting in the displayed cabinet.
Flat white came in first, which is no doubt a good one with nice presentation and good strength. Next came the croissant that was heated up to remain the texture. Every layer out of this croissant is enjoyable when it is combine with the butter and jam.
Importantly, service is very proficient and friendly. It is highly recommended👍
Previous rating: Sep 2019 5/5; May 2018 4/5

I often come here on Sunday mornings after a night out on the town, and may I just say, during a horrendous hangover, there’s nothing more that I would want in my empty stomach than their Okonomiyaki. Acai smoothie is an absolute healer and has the ability to replenish any soul. Staff always have a smile on their face. Great atmosphere and vibrant colours to bring me back to life. This has definitely become my go-to brunch place. Keep doin’ yo thang, Deedot!

Great food great staff great service. We are a family of 8 and they took care of us. Coffee was great food was beautiful and delicious. We will be back

Love Deedot! The food here is amazing!! I had the pumpkin and haloumi wrap which was nice but I still think my favourite is the old ‘stacks on’. Not on the menu anymore but thankfully it can still be recreated by adding sides to the eggs. The customer service can be a bit hit and miss though, but the food keeps me coming back!!

A nice cafe with lots of outdoor tables in the shade. Service was good. We had coffee, vegetarian Deedot breakfast and zucchini fritters and all were good. I loved the grilled pumpkin. It would’ve been nice if it was not coated by the Hollandaise souse.

Have been coming here on and off since 2014, after it changed hands the fab 'drip coffee' went, which was a real pity because it was known for just that. The food stayed pretty much the same & was always nice. I went last month and found a 'dahl' on the menu which was fantastic but today not there! - only very boring food on the menu, so had a sandwich & tea both would rate 2/10, sorry will not be back for a long while.

Deedot is yet another cafe among Brisbanes southern burbs. Behind its white picket fence is a spacious dining area with hanging plants.

A smooth strawberry milkshake went down nicely and was followed up with a lentil dahl with eggs, and "crazy" eggs.

The dahl was quite mildly flavoured and dressed heavily with spiced/ herbed yoghurt, which suited my personal tastes. The poached egg yolks bleeded nicely into the dish. The accompanying roti was generous. Overall, quite happy.

The "crazy eggs" were deep fried eggs with beef brisket and set on rice and hot sauce. The beef was perfectly soft, almost what you'd expect in an Asian noodle dish. The deep fried eggs were interesting, not my usual choice. It almost seemed like a strange take on the Viet dish: broken rice. Overall, quite happy here too.

The bonus? Very happy with the prices too.

This is one of my favourite brunch places in Brisbane. The coffee is fantastic. The food is always good and love trying the new menu with each season. My favourite place for a delicious healthy vegan breakfast (or non vegan as well). The new salmon poke bowl is fantastic! Also love the stacks on! Tried their taro latte the other day and it’s the best I’ve had in town! Just got to get in early coz the lines can be long between 9-11am during weekends.

Went there Monday, it was busy. Friendly staff, but to be honest, the toast and coffee just ok. I am not a coffee expert. But i can taste the different. Check pic. Coffee has art. Outdoor sitting is always nice. But it is a bit narrow~~ however. It is a good experience for relaxing~i am giving rate only for coffee and food, the whole cafe environment ia good.

Visited this cute little outdoor coffee shop/cafe early (7:30am) on a Saturday morning and was surprised to see the number of people already having their breakfast. Some tables in the morning are in partial or full sun so if you're visiting in big groups, it may be difficult to get seated in fully shaded seats.

The first item we ordered was the 'artisan fruit toast' - nothing special, exactly what is advertised. Comes with two slices of fruit toast dusted with icing sugar and some butter. The 'kassler and potato hash' was one of the standout dishes. The cut of the bacon was very thick and cooked perfectly - definitely enjoyed this. The hash cakes were fried well and blended very well with all the other elements of the dish including the horseradish sour cream. The 'strawberries and cream crepes' was just that but garnished with candied pistachios and a basil syrup. Personally, the basil syrup was a very nice decoration to the plate but tasted more like a pesto sauce than a syrup and was not a big fan of this element. The 'deedot breakfast' is the equivalent of a big breakfast however, I would say that for $23, the portion size could have been much larger. Many of the items were quite overcooked - the hash cakes on this dish were a bit too fried and the inside of the potatoes were overcooked too. Several of the bacon pieces were very charred and the chorizos were definitely overcooked as they were very hard to bite into. The last dish we decided to try out was the 'coconut panna cotta' which took the longest time to arrive - must be the long assembling time as it was such a beautifully plated dish. This dish is garnished with seasonal fruits, mango gel and a puffed grain and macadamia granola. The granola was so delicious - perfectly crunchy with bites of nuts and grains. A bit pricey for $15 but definitely an instagrammable breakfast! The 'smoked salmon crumpet' had a very delicious description however, was almost too spicy to eat. Definitely had to share this dish between a few people so I would probably not order this again.

The coffee we ordered was nothing special but the size of the mug was quite large! The apple juice was definitely different and not just a bought bottle of apple juice from the supermarket. The juice was from a granny smith apple as the juice was quite green and had a slight sourness and tang to it. The acai smoothie came in a very large cup and was exactly what you would expect - an acai smoothie. However, it was very delicious and we had to share it between 2-3 people as it was quite filling!

Overall, the food is quite tasty despite the prices which are slightly overpriced for the portion sizes. Definitely a cafe worth a try but would love to try the other seasonal menus!
Eliza
Good coffee and friendly service, however I was very disappointed with my choice of mushroom and camembert on sourdough. Mushrooms were light-on and there was barely any Camembert to be seen (not even enough to taste). Wouldn't recommend for $17...

Simple done well!

Made a phone booking for 4 people on a busy weekend. No issues at all :)!

Was given clear instructions on how to order etc, which is always appreciated.
Food arrived altogether (bar the fries) which meant we could all take our sneaky snaps without anything going cold.

Food was simple, but still delicious and filling!
Service was friendly and atmosphere was great. Tables were spread far enough apart so that we weren’t hearing other tables conversations. The little table “letters” were very cute as well.

Overall, a great first experience, I’ll be back for the amazing eggs benny!

Deedot is one of those places our children beg to go to whenever we have a spare Saturday or Sunday to share a leisurely breakfast together. Service and food is always fabulous and you never have to wait long for your meal after ordering. Do yourself a favour and try the Pomegranate and Raspberry Frappe... it’s a WINNER!!

Accommodating staff with tasty and well presented food. We went in on a somewhat busy day and was still served in a timely manner.
I would recommend the stacks on it was very filling and I couldn't fault it at all. For breakfast and a acai smoothie for $25 I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Always a long wait here so if your looking for a quick breakfast go elsewhere. All outside tables so in summer it is not too pleasant. Have had many breakfasts here. 90% of the time they get it right. Have had a couple of drain worthy coffees. But they are happy to replace each time that has happened.

The big breakky. Is big (funny that)
Home made sour cream and chive potato cakes. Delish. Not buttered bread but i guess we cant have it all. Eggs were unsure if they were good or not. 1 firm and popped as soon as touched. The other resembles leather. Mushrooms disgusting and even the girlfriend who is a mushroom fanatic cant stand them.

Kids meal comes with a juice. Had to ask 4 times where it was!
Burgers are large yet tasty abd nit too muxh if any ingredient.

Would recommend if you after the good food. Wouldnt if you want to have a quick meal as it never is here. But hey what are sundays for?

I came here with two interstate guests for a weekday lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The gluten free corn fritters were a dream (side note, there are loads of gluten free options on the menu which is such a treat). My guest's rainbow salad looked delicious and she said it was as yum as it looked. Coffee was strong and flavoursome. I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu!

I really like this place. The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I had the stack. The eggs were poached to perfection. My friend had the special - vanilla crepes with housemade pistachio and hazelnut semifreddo. I tried it and it was creamy with avoid amount of nuts and berries. The coffee is not my favourite but it's still ok.

It does get extremely busy so I'd recommend reserving a table, especially if you are popping in with a group on a weekend.
Alice Yin
The coffee and food were nice esp the deedot breakfast which was a generous portion. However the location is not ideal if you are looking for a relaxed laid back weekend brunch since it's on a busy main road.

Went to get 2 coffees this morning, a muffin and banana bread - take away. Firstly, the young girl serving was so rude and shouldn’t be working in a restaurant/ cafe because she was acting as though she was in hell. Then we waited 35 minutes for our coffee, which ended up being cold. How? No idea because we were waiting for the coffees in front of the coffee machine. A lot of other people were complaining too. Just poor customer service.

Went to deedot on Sunday to cure my hangover and it definitely did its job. Ordered the avo on toast and could not be anymore impressed. It was exactly what I needed. The service was super quick as well. My drink was brought out all most instantly and food only a few minutes after. My friend maybe waited 5 more minutes to receive their food. They ordered the burger on the lunch menu which looked pretty impressive and also came with a side of chips. Have been to deedot numerous times and won't stop anytime soon.

Had a great Saturday lunch at Deedot! While other reviews suggest the cafe is super busy for breakfast, our 1pm arrival for lunch saw the cafe at a relaxed and non-crowded time.
The corner cafe is very open with all tables outdoors (undercover), giving it a fresh airy feeling- perfect for a nice sunny day. The floral wallpaper, open shelves and colourful mugs also help create a fun summery feel.
All three of us loved our food. We had the popcorn chicken waffles, lamb ragu pasta, and the rainbow salad. All meals were full of flavour, well seasoned, creative, and well cooked. The only negative was the sour cream and avo smash on the waffle made it soggy- perhaps it would be better served on the side? Coffee was also lovely.
The service from the waiter was very friendly, while the service from the staff member behind the counter was a little lacklustre. Food was brought out promptly.

I officially love Deedot. Been here twice now, ordered two seperate meals and i couldn't fault either! In my photos I have the "Stacks on" Breakfast, with poached eggs, avo, bacon and haloumi on sourdough and the "Popcorn Chicken Waffles" with small bite size chicken pieces, sour cream, tomatoes, avo and more. Both meals as delicious as eachother and utterly faultless! Not to mention their service is soooo quick! Hot and cold drinks are made to perfection. I love, love this place and can't wait to be back for more food 🤗
Lilfoodyx
Coffee is either hit or miss. Definitely something I'm not willing to pay for. The barista's customer service is also hit or miss. This is sad because the food here is so yummy.

Long wait for average food. And I had to return mine because of a hair. Will not return or recommend it. The seating area is also way too crowded.
The Other Jenners
We live about 5 minutes from Deedot and have attempted to visit for brekky twice only to be told the wait would be over 30mins. But any foodie knows that crowds generally mean delish food! Finally we made the attempt and were seated straight up. The wait was worth it. Their beef brisket and stacked brekky was über delish! We will definitely be back...and be happy to wait next time :)

Pulled pork benny was very tasty have dined her a few times and service is generally quick even in a full cafe. Not a fan of coffee itself but well made.

Had brunch this morning here with a long-time friend. Didn't expect it to be so busy that my friend who arrived at 9am said she had to wait for a table! Very busy cafe on the main road, lots of young staff and a broad mix of clientele. Ordered the Beef Brisket and Potato Hashies with Poached Eggs and a tea. Very hearty and satsifying meal. Eggs were poached perfectly and beef although having abit of spice really hit the spot for me. Prices seemed a few $ cheaper than rival The Rare Pear a few shops down, but the menus between the 2 have their differences. Expect to make bookings for weekends, otherwise first in best dressed for tables.

Deedot is probably one of my favourite brunch cafe's in Brisbane!! A friend and I always designate Deedot as our catch up destination and we always order the same thing: Stacks on and Iced Chai. Both are so good and I'm always so full afterward. The only downside is there isn't any indoor seating so it can get a bit chilli in winter, but, they do provide nice blankets and cushions to make things more comfortable. Only reason why I'm not giving a 5 is because there was a fly in my friend's Stacks on one time...that's pretty gross...but they did remake her a whole new one so that makes up for it (she was already halfway through when she saw it).
Foodsofbrisbane
The wait for the cafe was about 30-45 minutes on a Sunday morning, which is not a bad thing considering this is a very popular place to have breakfast. I actually like waiting in line as there is that suspense of wanting to try their best dishes. The rainbow salad was superb! Coffee was great! The only thing I found average was the vanilla slice but I think Deedot Coffee house is not known for its desserts.
Sam
Loving Dee Dot's new vegan menu, great variety and thoughtful creations! Delicious, full bodied coffee too! Looking forward to coming back & trying more from the new menu :)

Efficiency is key and Deedot have that perfected to a "T". We had to wait a little bit to be seated because this place was full to brim and the lady running around serving customers, clearing tables and organising front of house was great! Well done, she seated us and gave us menus and water.

Each staff member at Deedot have not only great manners but they have their own individual job to do to ensure this place runs as efficiently as possible and its evident it works, 2 running the floor clearing tables and organising seating, staff running meals out, counter service and coffee and all this combined just runs like clock work, you have to see it in action to understand but its brilliant.

The coffee was strongish..but borderline to bitter and a little to milky, the main was the Deedot brekky and this saved the day, cant fault the dish, the salsa was made in house and always a excellent taste when cafes do make in house sauces, mushrooms cooked well and loaded with flavour, bacon was crispy and the fat fell apart in my mouth just a brilliant meal all round. Would definitely go back.

Brekky date!

This adorable cafe is found in the busy hub of Holland Park! We arrived at about 10.30am and the place was jam packed. The lovely server greeted us with a friendly smile and advised that it would be about a 20 minutes wait for a table. We barely waited 10 minutes and she had us seated. First impressions - excellent! Staff are incredibly friendly! They have a great system going - one barista, one person doing milkshakes/other drinks, one person serving at the register, one person running the food and two people walking/serving/clearing the floor. Despite how busy it was, the staff moved and worked seamlessly - well done!

Food - I ordered their special of the day: Popcorn Chicken Waffles with Avocado and Sour Cream (and a side of haloumi because haloumi touches my soul). Deedot Brekky for the other half. My brekky was beautifully presented but I had a slight problem. There were items on my dish that weren't mentioned on the specials board. In addition to the avocado and haloumi, there was a tomato salsa type of side as well. The cherry tomatoes were nice and fresh, subtle bite of red onion and roasted capsicun. Avocado was roughly smashed and added a lovely chunky texture to the dish. The Chicken was the bees knees - well seasoned, so much flavour and quite tender. Haloumi - well I didn't get cheated this week with my haloumi and it definitely hit the spot!

My problem was the waffle - way too sweet and it was soggy, almost like it had been microwaved. Anyone who knows me will know that I don't like spicy food. My entire waffle was covered in jalapeños - this was not mentioned on the special boards. It was covered in a blanket of melted cheese and at first glance, I only saw a few small slices of it. One bite was all it took - my mouth was on fire and I couldn't enjoy the remainder of my brekky. I had to pick it all off.

Coffee - my usual mocha. Quite good - the coffee wasn't very prominent, I got more chocolate than coffee but it was still nice.

Price v portion = excellent! Staff are friendly, cafe easy to find and there is ample street parking. I would suggest going closer to lunch time (their brekky menu is all day and lunch is available from 11am) if you want to avoid the morning rush. If you are happy to wait, their table turnover is quite quick. Would like to go back and try their fritters!
Pablo Zhou
Cane here for breakfast the other day. I ordered a burger with chips and my breakfast partner ordered the Deedot breakfast. I thought both of the meals were very tasty. I also ordered a juice which was nice. I would definitely come again for brunch!

A local gem! Deedot is one of my local coffee shops and it continues to deliver in terms of quality and service. The staff are very friendly, and whether it be breakfast or lunch the food is always of a high quality - the beef and bacon burger is my personal favourite. Highly recommended!
Susan.louise
Just excellent fast service and very tasty food with flair. Deedot is up there with the best of breakfast and lunch in Brisbane. Sometimes tricky to get a table at weekend but they can't be criticised for popularity.
Todd
Excellent breakfast. Bacon burger was delicious as was the corn fritters. Nice coffee too! One of the best in the area. I will definitely be back soon.
Marsionn
My new favorite spot for breakfast! We knew it was good when we arrived as they were packed with customers. Ordered the Deedot Breakfast with the Fruit & Bircher which was fantastic. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the toast with chilli beans was a perfect match. The Bircher was not dry and went well with the assorted fruit and yogurt. Very hearty meal indeed! Would definitely come back. With more people too!

P.S - the mango frappe is a must-have!
Alex Nielsen
A staple in our weekend, after having just moved to Brisbane about a month ago it coincided with Deedot reopening - amazing timing. The new look suits this place to a tee - or a dot! Amazing food, great drinks - the coffee is delish. My favourite is the Bircher museli. Not one to normally order something that I could have at home, I can't go past this - the cinnamon is an amazing touch! A must do for a bite to eat if you're in the area.
King Nibble
Great coffee! Pretty good breakfast too!

Love it how you can get a piccolo and standard coffee as a set. Options for us and smart reduction of wastage for the owners.

Good job!
Belle
Food: 4/5
Good quality, menu has variety, extras aren't too expensive.
Service: 3.5/5
There is not table service and you pay for your meal first but they bring out your order in good time.
Aesthetic: 3.5/5
The set up of the cafe is really cute with the grass and white picket fence.
Price: 4/5
For the quality of food and service the food is not priced too high.
Putri Matta Unnardi
Ordered Pomegranate Avo Smash. The portion was quite big and taste delicious. Definitely ordered this menu again when I come back here next time.
Miscommunication happened with the staff when we were ordering eggs benedict. State your meat option or you will just get two eggs with some hollandaise sauce on a toast.
The Stacks On was tasty and visually appetizing.
Ordered the snickers shake which was so creamy but you can definitely taste the snickers.
Charlie Jenn Lian Ng
Found a plastic in my pork omelette :( they got it replaced with the same dish without even asking if I still want it and gave us two free coffee for next visit. Don't think we will come back anymore, coffee was quite a let down. On the bright side, the corn fritter, was pretty good :)
Nicole Evans
This place has amazing food with friendly staff. We found it to be very well priced food and big serves!! The whole atmosphere is fun and open.
Nina Vos
Service and food was exceptional. I got Stacks On and the Cold Drip coffee and I was in heaven! Will definitely be coming back! Keep up the great work :)
Anna Venczel
Awesome coffee. Then a 25 minute wait. When I asked how much longer, I was told it was just being plated. No apology for the wait.
The food was probably nice back when it was hot. Not so nice when cold. When the server asked how we liked the meals I told him I would have sent it back but we were out of time and hungry so we were eating it. He said thanks for the feedback and he would tell the kitchen but the meals were straight off the grill. I am sure they were. At one time. Just not when they were served to us.
No apology for the cold food. We won't be back.
Ingrid Kahn
YUM JUST YUM!
Good food, nice staff, a busy road unfortunately but a great cafe!
Would be awesome if they had a small securely fenced kids play area so we don't all have to stress so much.
Can't wait to go again!
Rachel Blom
Delicious food - we tried one of each of the Snicker Dot and the Nutella flavoured smoothies, along with my favourite eggs bene. Displayed really nicely, decent price for brunch, lovely staff. Came back another time for take away and it was just as great. I also made a klutz of myself and dropped my take away smoothies all over the pavement. The man I presume might be the owner (he was there at about 8am) and the ladies were so kind and helpful. Their assistance and kind words made my really bad day so much better. Simple things, right? Good food + great service will definitely see me returning. Thank you.

Firstly, don't let the fact this place is located on Logan Road put you off. Yes it is a busy road but I have eaten there many times with my family without ever feeling like we couldn't talk or relax because of this. It is easy to get to, parking is up side streets and depending on how busy they are this might mean a short walk. The staff are friendly and well organised.
The food is always consistent and the menu range covers most tastes easily. We have enjoyed every meal there and we have eaten there approximately a dozen times. The pricing is fair for what you get, the coffee is solid - kid and family friendly. No hesitation recommending this place :)
The Brisbane Food Blog
Deedot had great food and has a menu with all the classics which include bacon, eggs and avocado. It is very busy on the weekends and sometimes you will have to wait for a table so I recommend getting there a bit earlier.

Fresh and vibrant! Very surprised to find a great little place like Deedot locally. Coffee was great, service was great, and food was great! Awesome experience. Defiantly will be back soon.

It doesn't hurt to venture out a bit from the CBD for brunches and cafes. Try Deedot Coffee House on Logan Road in Holland Park--judging from the small crowd spread out among cute outdoor and semi outdoor tables--its not a bad place at all. Menu is a bit of everything--they even have a plate on the menu called 'something of everything' or along those lines featuring everything from bircher muesli to avo on toast on the one plate. Servings are generous and yes they do take-away.

I've been here for lunch a while ago and it delicious so we headed back for breakfast. Being a public holiday it was 15% surcharge, which is to be expected and to their credit obviously advertised around the place. They were really busy but service was pretty good considering. My husband had the stack which was only 1 piece of sourdough, much to his disappoinment, avocado, haloumi and egg. I had the breakfast burger which was also a bit disappointing with just cooked bacon that had soggy fat on it. Our daughter decided that she was hungry and I went inside to order her toast. I asked if I could order toast and was met with slight bewilderment from the girl at the cash register. When I mentioned it was for my 1 year old another staff member said "oh sourdough" and prompted the cashier to put through kids' toast. $5.80! But factor in the surcharge... after a long wait for our small human her toast finally arrived. Barely toasted white bread fresh from a packet for $5.80 with a side of butter! The price and quality of their kids' meal leaves a lot to be desired and this is one cafe that I wont be back to. A shame because they had adequate highchairs, some kids toys and there were so many other parents with children there, you would think they would get the meals for their young customers right!
Camille
So good! There coffee is great, food choices are awesome. Definitely should be your choice for breakfast or lunch if you are in the area. There are a few cafes close together on this road but this one is the best. A gem!
Theitalianfoodie
Great little local cafe. Been here for both breakfast and lunch many times. There are so many delicious options on the menu and great prices. Good quality coffee served. Would recommend
The Brunch Plight
Deedot does basic breakfast food really really well. Their Stacks On is hands down one of the best value for money breakfasts in Brisbane. They have a great friendly neighbourhood vibe and the staff are super friendly.

Came here for one of my girlfriends birthday brunch and although it was busy, the service was very quick. Loved the French toast! The honey comb complimented the dish and it wasn't too sweet either.
Would come back again for more!

Had Brunch at Deedot and it was a wonderful experience. The service was amazing and the food was devine . We got our food quite quickly and couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Brownannie215
Love the food at this place. Have been here a few times and the food is always to die for! However, the staff could do with a little more training. Most of them are quite pleasant but a little clueless when it comes to what they are actually delivering to the table. Ie, make sure you know which coffee is made on lactose free milk. Not quite sure why they don't offer table service either. Could make the experience a little smoother as its always pretty hectic near the counter with coffee being made and delivered!
TIFFIN Bite Sized
Tempted as I was by the Ricotta Stuffed French Toast, it was a tad too early for a side of ice cream so I went the savoury route with Corn & Coriander Fritters with poached egg, zesty herb salad and smashed avocado. Anthony ordered Eggs Istanbul with avocado labneh on Turkish toast, topped with eggs and a house made harissa. The café was busy for a Tuesday morning and led to a short table discussion about the transient nature of work and how there are not many true 9 – 5 jobs anymore. Thankfully we were saved from our own musings by the very prompt delivery of our breakfast, not more than ten minutes after ordering.
ElsewhereBriefly
Deedot Coffee House had been on the list of places to go for a little while, given its place on the Great Breakfasts list on Zomato, and some pretty nice food pictures. As we happened to be in the area, it seemed a good a time as any to try it out. What you see passing by. It is along the rather busy Logan Road, in the same row of shops as the Rare Pear (also on the Great Breakfasts list). There were also tables and chairs in the undercover area outside that, with some patrons. We decided to stick to our first option though. Although it is, as mentioned, along a road with a fair bit of traffic, you are seated far enough away to not actually be exposed to exhaust.

I've been going here for a while and have now noticed a gradual decline in the quality of service. I realise they are busy at times and they have still managed to provide food OK to good standard - however, do not have the French toast (ever).

Love the food, coffee and juices there 😘
Love the pumpkin soup they did before. Cant wait for winter again. Hope they still serve that soup 😊

Beautiful! This place is always busy so we thought we'd give it a try and it was lovely! Friendly staff, nice menu selection, gluten free options with vegan options marked on menu. Food and coffee were delicious and quickly made. They use a nice soy milk called Silk, which is a European specialty barista soy milk that's gluten free. Will be back. Nice!
Cheryl
Tasty n beautiful breakfast, I love the presentation of my dishes! Beautiful coffee art and very friendly staff too. Bad side is too many flies here somehow.

We went to this cafe on NY weekend. We originally wanted to go somewhere else but to our disappointment it was closed. Although deedot was our "last resort", I am VERY glad I had the chance to discover this place!

The service was great. The waitress was attentive. The food was amazing and gorgeously presented. One big down side that dampened the experience was our drinks coming in too slowly. Another table that came at the same time as is also didn't get their drinks until prompted. Another table that came after us got their drinks first which prompted us to request to get our drinks quickly. By this time our food had already been half finished!

The coffee is also amazing! The cold drip coffee was so good that I had to buy a takeaway!

The bacon was also one of the most delicious I've had. It's sort of thick cut and the best thing is it isn't too greasy or salty. The eggs were also perfectly poached.

I would definitely go back again some day. I hope the drinks will come quicker next time!

I am very happy with my visit today, even though it was packed I was seated within a minute of ordering.

As always the coffee was great and arrived within minutes with my delish eggs Benedict only 5 minutes later.

All in it gets busy so better to eat early and beat the crowd and summer heat.

Unfortunately for Deedot, a very popular cafe, I usually judge on the quality and flavour of the coffee. The coffee here was absolutely undrinkable. Sour and limp and bereft of any crema. The cakes on offer also tasted stale and I have to say, all in all, that unless I was there on a bad day (make that a very bad day), there is nothing to recommend this establishment at all.
Dan The Man
Have been to Deedot several times and am yet to be disappointed. The homemade bircher, avo toast and eggs bunny are all well created and very tasty. The coffee is consistently good and there is a good range of smoothies. I tried my first Banoffee here too! If visiting on the weekend I recommend booking as it's always busy.

Cute little place with a small but tasty menu. Service is good and prices are goid too. L9ve doing brunch or lunch here. The chocolate brownie is to die for.

Great little quirky cafe just on the outskirts of brisbane. Staff were very attentive without being intruding. Our coffee's arrive within 10 minutes of ordering, we ordered an espresso and a small latte, both were perfectly made although one of the main reasons I drink lattes is because I like drinking out of a glass so I was disappointed when it was served in a cup.
Both meals arrived within 20 minutes of ordering. My partner had the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the French Toast. Both meals were a solid 9.5/10!!
Very impressed as this was our first visit, we will definitely be back, thanks Deedot!!

One of my favourite cafes in the area. Have been here many times for breakfast and the food is always great! Service is friendly. Only problem is that it's often very busy on weekends with a bit of a wait for a table and some tables are in the sun which isn't great in the warmer months
Sen-sei
Adorable coffee house with quirky staff and table numbers. Delicious avo on toast and eggs benedict, as well as a perfect blend of chai latte at Deedot. Gets busy in the mornings though so food may come out a tad later than expected. Does very well for a small cosy little place though
Envyfood
Love this place. Super busy great food. I've been here twice. Once with family and another time with a friend. They do really great classic breakfasts. My eggs Benedict sauce was a little different to what I'm used to. But still nice. Recommend giving it a try!!

Impressed. Went for breakfast after a recommendation. Busy, but good and friendly service. Food was nothing outrageous but solid and enjoyable. Good atmosphere.

Went here for brunch on Sunday and it was already packed when we arrived. The waitress took our name and directed us with some menus over to the cushions to wait. Within 10mins we were seated and we were also done perusing the menu. We ordered at the counter and was told it's approximately 25min wait for our dishes. True to their word, our dishes arrived just after 25mins. Impressed! We had ordered a caramel macchiato and flat white - both strong and delicious. Our dishes were the stacks on, and bacon and eggs with a side of haloumi. Both were delicious and filling. They also have a great range of drinks from coffee to teas to freshly pressed juices and smoothies. The atmosphere was upbeat and the wait staff were friendly. This place is dog friendly too which is a plus! Will definitely be back.
BigFellaBella
All of our dishes were tasty. Eggs benny and the coconut granola dishes in particular were very good. Was very busy so took a while to be seated.
Sam Pickering
Sorry to say terrible coffee, average food and unhelpful staff. Will not be going again. I was not told there were different types of coffee blends served. I was given what can only be described as a fruity flavoured cappacino and unless you know that there is an alternative this is what you are served. When I discovered for myself (not from the staff) that there was an alternative I was told it was up to me to know this and I should specify next time what coffee blend I wanted. I guess the staff come first and the customer last at Deedot.
BrisbaneEater
Dined here for brunch on Father's Day and although it was busy, we were seated in 10 mins and the service was really friendly and lovely. The food was good, although I l believe the portion sizes could be a bit bigger for its price. Eggs were poached nicely and the coffee and the snickers dot drink were the standouts! Overall, will definitely be back because of the lovely service and great coffee!

This was one of the best places that I've had brunch at!! :) All their drinks were delicious and refreshing!! And the food was amazingg, every dish was worth it :) We even ordered from their cake stand, however, my friends and i found both desserts too rich but overall our experience was wonderful :)

Very busy but definitely worth the wait to get a table. Coffee was quick to come out, I wouldn't say the food took ages, but it was about 25 minutes.
The food quality was exceptional and very innovative flavours.
It is a good place to visit with kids as there is a play area, though it would be good if they have something for girls to play not just trucks.
Kat - Oats And Cheesecake
Don't let the wait fool you - there is a reason why this cafe is always busy. I visited on a Tuesday morning and it was still packed to the rafters, but with excellent reason. The coffee is generous (think oversized tea cups) and the meals even more so, particularly the vegetarian breakfast stack which was a phenomenon in itself with tomato relish, roast tomato, mushrooms, haloumi, eggs, smashed avo and spinach (with, let's face it, largely superfluous rye bread as you'll have trouble finishing the lot!). Once you try DeeDot, I guarantee it will become a permanent addition to your breakfast repertoire!

Great atmosphere, great service and delicious food. Love the brioche and would recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth. A great place to go for a breakfast or coffee any day of the week!

Great service every time we go. The stacks on is my personal favourite, and also the French toast. Food comes out quick and atmosphere is great.

We ventured over to Holland Park this morning to check out Deedot Coffee House! It was certainly worth the trip :). All day breakfast is always a win in my books :) and we were lucky to be able to sample the new menu! Their was plenty to choose from and the lunch options looked delicious! B had the Coconut and Maple Gronola with greek yoghurt and I had the “Eggs Istanbul: Harissa, labneh and avocado on Turkish with poached eggs, dukkah, rocket and a wedge of lemon.” I must admit I was very happy with my choice when it arrived. B said the gronola was nice but was disappointed as the gronola was only served with 3/4 of a banana. The mix of labneh and avocado gave my eggs a sweet zesty taste and the eggs were cooked to perfection. I had a quick peak at the sweets cabinet which was very tempting lots of Gluten Free goodies.

This cafe is now my favourite. The staff here are always polite and attentive. The coffee is fantastic. Breaky servings are huge and lovely. Lunch is ok but could be better...a bit bland. Great atmosphere and it's the only cafe who doesn't charge for Zymil milk.
Bad customer service. Will not return. Went here for a family celebration at breakfast time. Was told on the phone they did not take reservations and to turn up early if we wanted a table for 6. After about an hour and $150 worth of food, we were told we had 15 minutes to leave because our table was 'reserved'. I questioned the host, saying that I was told they did not accept reservations, so why were we basically asked to leave? She became flustered and embarrassed, thereby cementing my belief that deedot values profit over customer satisfaction. Very disappointing and dishonest. Will never return. No great loss - the food wasn't great anyway.

Wicked brekky, spot on presentation and brutally good coffee. So good.

One of our favourites!. Deedot is one our go-to cafes! Massive selection of yummy breakfasts to choose from and we have never been dissapointed! The staff are always super friendly. Its also good to know that this cafe gets really busy on weekends and often has a waiting line.
Danika Whitehead
Absolutely love this cafe! The breakfast stacks and smoothies are amazing. Highly recommend, cute setting as well.

I enjoyed their Eggs Benny. The mushrooms were cooked well and the eggs were poached to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was not too thick or runny and it was just at the right consistency and amount.

Coffee. Terrible coffee, was there any caffeine in it?

The 'local secret' that is Deedot Coffee House is now well-known, the only downside now is that it's so popular!! Located on an old shopping strip at the top of Holland Park Hill, it has already become an essential part of the local area. Worth a trip across town (luckily She & I are locals!!), Deedot Coffee House should be on anyone's Top 10 breakfast locations in Brisbane. The food & drink menu She Says I had her at Snickerdot!!! We wanted to celebrate MissFourteen's birthday with a breakfast of champions treat before school and were assessing local options the night before. Deedot has become one of my local favourites, so I admit I had my own sneaky agenda and knowing how her mind and tummy work I casually mentioned 'The Snickerdot'. The moment MissFourteeen heard about the 'Fancy Schmanzy' shake options which include the Rockdeeroad and the Snickerdot her eyes lit up and it was a done deal. Deedot has become a firm favourite of mine, but even more so with my loved one's recent admission to Greenslopes hospital of 5 weeks and still counting. As you all know I'm both a coffee snob and foodie and the thought of handing over my hard earned cash for hospital food and terrible coffee is not one I will consider, especially when an alternative, far superior option can be found close to hand. In the first few hectic weeks Deedot became my go to place for breakfast/brunch/lunch or a chance to have a quiet moment alone before heading back to the hospital. I've enjoyed every visit, not just because of the delicious food but because equally important is the friendly, efficient and always smiling service which can really brighten your day when you are overtired, stressed and worried. Plus they are always playing good music. The pulled pork burrito with eggs, dukkah, fresh coriander & tomato is absolutely delicious and I confess I may have even had it two days in a row, it was just so good! You can either make it into a breakfast wrap yourself or eat it as served and it ta

Best breakfast in Brisbane. I have been coming to DeeDot since it opened and I am always extremely satisfied after coffee or breakfast here. The best item on the menu is 'Stacks On!!' My girlfriend is a Coeliac and has advised me that the GF bread they use is the best she has had anywhere in Brisbane. Keep up the good work!
C-alex
Consistently good coffee and excellent, well priced food.. My partner and I are constantly trying new coffee shops. We hardly ever make second trips to any of them, but we have come back to Deedot about four times now.

The coffee is fantastic, they use Uncle Joe's which is arguably the best in Brisbane and the baristas know what they are doing which is very rare around here.

The food is reasonably priced, good quality and comes in generous portions. My only complaint is that the burgers come with crisps which is a bit unusual, but not a big deal at all.

The girl who serves us is always friendly and helpful.
Jbilly
Finally!, A cafe that knows how to make proper coffee! Food is fantastic also and well priced. We live around the corner so will definitely be visiting regularly- its busy for a reason!
Georgia
Really friendly staff! Great coffee and yummy banana bread!

Very nice Sunday breakfast. Generous serve, fresh and delicious! Staff were so friendly, always have a smile on their face.

I love Deedot!. I went here with a fairly large group of people for breakfast the morning after my wedding. I had forgotten to book somewhere and spoke to the staff only a couple of days before and they were so lovely and accommodating. Had an absolutely lovely breakfast there too. The staff have a great energy and vibe and the food was amazing. I really had a great experience there and will certainly be going back and am lucky enough to live just a couple of blocks away. Thank you so much to everyone there! X

Not coming back. Only living down the road from deedot and seeing all the good reviews on urban spoon we thought it was such an advantage to us for whenever we wanted to go out for breakfast or lunch. The first time we went there my meal didn't come out with everyone's else's, while I sat there and waited for my food they finally came out half an hour later and told us that the kitchen had mixed the order up and put my eggs and bacon on my boyfriends big breakfast hmmm.. Today, We thought we would give them another chance as it was a simple mistake that the kitchen had made previously but we were sadly disappointed again, after waiting 45 minutes for our food which we were starving then to hear that the "printer wasn't working" as it didn't send through to the kitchen and the kitchen had already turned there oven and grill off at 2 o'clock which meant two out of the three meals were unable to be made and we were offered a full re fund which we glady accepted but as a waitress myself I don't see why the lady who took our order was more concerned about packing tables up instead of checking up on our meals. such a cute little cafe but I'm sorry we will not be returning.

Enjoyed several breakfast dishes here, good coffee & friendly staff. Hard to blockout the Logan road traffic noise but definitely won't stop us from returning.

Spot on!. Great coffee & well priced for Bris ($3 cup, 3.50 mug). The bircher is delish & eggs benny..let's just say my cleanly-scraped plate left no evidence of its whereabouts on our table at all! Will be back for more!

The Stack Breakfast. I like the stack breaky. Refresh and love the flavor with a little bit of balsamic vinegar

We had a yummy brekky and the coffee was delicious! Menu had nice variety and the staff were very friendly on what seemed like a busy morning!

Good breakfast. Not great, but good. Haloumi was delicious and the juices are great too. Well priced.
Steve Brimblecombe
Consistently good.. This is one of my favourite coffee shops in Brisbane. Why? Well, I actually live close by, so it is a local, but it really boils down to tree things; exceptional service, exceptional coffee and exceptional food. Jade and the crew are among the nicest people you will find in the service industry and will go out of their way to make each visit a memorable one.
This's was not a popular venue under a previous name and management and they have transformed this business into a busy and vibrant local hub. Originally I was not a fan of their coffee bean but the new blends are sensational. My favourite breakfast is the baked beans with chorizo and I recommend the rocky road super dooper shake. The best all round cafe in this area.

Pretends to be Trendy. It seems like this place wants to attract the "trendy crowd" but when you say "kid friendly " and there are lots of toddlers running around, it's very hard to maintain that trendy image. This venue seems to be popular with the local yummy mummies, but really bears no comparison to the equivalent coffee shops in Bulimba, Balmoral or Hawthorne. The service is poor and slow. The seating is very uncomfortable and mostly outside with traffic zooming past on Logan Road. The food is served on bread boards (which seems to be a developing trend) and to my mind is very unhygienic unless those boards are scrubbed with bleach and super hot soapy water after every use. My partner ordered the caesar salad and the waiter dropped the egg off the top when he was delivering the meal. He then told my partner that he would get another egg. I darn well hope so! What did you think you were going to do?; pick up the old one and dust it off. Mind you, the replacement egg came almost 20 minutes later. I had the chicken burger and let me tell you that chicken has been around the coop a few times; very tough and smothered in mayo. I can't say we enjoyed our experience at Deedot and there was a table of 16 of us. Not everyone received their meal at the same time and some people had to ask a number of times for their meal/drinks. My tip: Work out what you want to be. If you want to be kid friendly then set it up that way and ditch at few tables so the kids can actually run around and play (which I don't think is a good idea with busy Logan Road out the front) with the toys provided without bumping into other patrons. If you want to be trendy then ditch the kiddie stuff and focus on providing good quality food and service and cater to the people who have money to spend.

-----02 Aug, 2014-----

Nothing out of the box!. Went for a lunch with friends. Service was very slow and coffee was only just warm. It looks like it is trying hard to be trendy but really doesn't match the trendy establishments in places like Newstead or New Farm. Yes, it is kid friendly (and we had 2 kids in our party) but if you don't enjoy having little people running around and playing near your table then best not go. I wouldn't bother going back as the service and food is nothing special. I had the chicken burger and the chicken was tough and the burger had too much mayo competing with the camembert cheese; flavours were all glugged together.

Why the fuss. My wife and I dropped into Deedot on Friday afternoon about 1.45 for a late lunch. This place has had some good reviews, so I thought we would give it a try.

After looking at the menu, we went inside and thought we would just have something from the cabinet.

At first look we notices a couple of flies buzzing around in there, but thought, well the offerings are mostly in glad wrap, so we pushed on. We ordered a Turkey Brie and cranberry turkish and a chicken Caesar Turkish.

We headed outside in a quite nice area, but soon notices that the surrounding tables were not being cleaned very quickly at all. In fact it took them about 20 mins to clear them. The floor was filthy, crumbs every where, spilt drinks and the whatnot.

Our food arrived. My wife's turkey selection had a very meger amount of Turkey on it. My chicken ceaser had quite old lettuce on it. Quite yellow in fact. I understand that the lettuce will wilt in the sandwich press, but this was far beyond that.

They had a good selection of cold drinks I will admit.

Maybe it was a bad day, but I afraid we won't be trying them again.

In a cafe, fast efficient staff are paramount, just clean the place and it would make a real difference.

Other cafés seem to be able to do it.

Exceptional service. Great music. Great Vibe. Yummy food.

More sweet breakfast options!. Deedot for breakfast was a brilliant experience and I'll definitely be returning! The staff were a standout for me; very friendly and attentive considering how busy this place is!

The meals were a decent size (read: skipped lunch because I was so full). And all ingredients were cooked fresh. The coffee was piping too! ALTHOUGH! I am a sweet-breakfast kinda person when dining out, and the menu doesn't have a large selection. I would've loved to see waffles, crepes, French toast or sweet bagels on the menu! ... The Turkish Delight Milkshake took care of my sweet tooth this time though.

Ample side-street parking since it's in a semi-suburban location. Bus 180 stops out the front.

Will be recommending to friends!

Amazing! Loved the food, coffee and service here, priced well, 2nd time I've come in a week!
Samantha_justice
YUM!. I went here with a friend for breakky, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with mushrooms in the garlic sauce. Love love loved it! Best mushrooms I think I have ever had. The size was great for the price and the staff were lovely!

My friend loved her breakfast also, I think she just got the bacon and eggs on sourdough bread as well as a mango smoothie, which she could not so obsessing over!

Thank you, will definitely be back! :)
Melly
Super friendly staff, tasty food but I found the portion sizes to be very small. Especially the chicken burger which came with a few potato crisps was around $17. Not even real hot chips.
Ailish Parr
LOVED IT! The staff here were super friendly!! The food is 10/10 with always a decent sized portion! Such a quaint place to sit and eat! Perhaps some more sweet items for brekkie on the menu would be nice! Other than that, Deedot is now up there with my fav coffee spots around the Southside! Overall, such a nice experience!

Loved deedot! Went her with my partner for breakfast and the food was amazing. Definitely worth a visit. Cute cafe, lovely service and delicious food!

We came for breakfast over the weekend and we were greatly impressed! My husband ordered the Haloumi Stack and has been raving over it, I ordered a meal off the sides menu as I have a specific diet and it was exactly as I requested! Coffee wasn't the best coffee I have had but it was definitely far from the worst. Staff seemed pleasant and we're very helpful. We well definitely be returning!

What a great local breaky spot, the menu is great and awesome value, this is a must if in the local area great service with a smile

Great spot for Sunday breakfast. Very casual. Good for kids. The "stacks on" was exactly what I felt like

Diana. Loved the coffee here, smooth lingering flavour very well poured. The girls here are super friendly & unlike a previous reviewer love dining alfresco in Brisbane.
Christine Chehade
Great coffee, great food, friendly service, nice little suburban cafe.
Melissakk
Poor food & comfort. Food very average, uncomfortable dining space on the footpath, either share table or very small tables. Why does Brisbane dine alfresco in the height of summer? I would love to find local places to dine that offer air con comfort.

Brisbane's BEST Cafe. I visit DeeDot on a weekly basis, and it is the most amazing experience each and every time. I am a massive fan of the eggs benny, and would recommend to everyone that you stop by and visit Darian and Jade and the team anytime!
MaryZ
Pricey. Ventured to Deedot for lunch. Very overpriced for what is on offer.
The lentil and haloumi salad was a big disappointment. The salad greens
were limp and and there was no substance or flavour to the small serve dish.
The coffee was good I must say. Busy spot on Logan Rd so if you are after a quite place to eat this isn't it. Staff were very polite.
Petmar69
Deedot delicious. My wife and I just had an amazing late breakfast this morning at Deedot Coffee House, Holland Park West. We both had "The Stack" breakfast , a hazelnut flavoured latte and classic ol'skool chocolate thickshake.

In summary: Excellent presentation, fresh and flavoursome ingredients , very filling and value for money.

I will now take my close mates their for breakfast next time around.

Go check out this place and support your local businesses.

Peter

Terrible. Poor service. Raw eggs. Bitter coffee.
Will not be going back.
Butterface
Lovely atmosphere, great coffee and treats, but for the money charged for the breakfasts, it is a little hard to justify. One piece of bacon with the big breakfast? Filling half the plate cheaply with raw spinach leaves to make it look a bigger meal is a horrible current trend that I'm sure no cafe has actually asked customers about either. Properly poached eggs saved the day though ;).
Mel
Great coffee, fab food and lovely service.Would recommend everyone comes down and enjoys the deedot experience!!

Deedot Coffee House - Holland Park, Brisbane. I have been and or had a coffee from here several times beforehand, often opting for the double cappuccino. At first taste, I was really unsure about the coffee. It was really strong - almost to the point that is what it was in its entirety. However, with persistence and visiting here several more times it has ultimately turned out for the better. The coffee is extracted from a solid bean leaving a robust taste in the mouth. Going by here during morning walks and deducing that because it is nearby, I knew that I had to try out this place - one for the breakfasts, which they did sound good - along with supporting a local business. I eventually did.

Beforehand though, it has got to be mentioned just how lovely and gregarious the service here is. It is run by a husband-wife team. The main lady who runs this place is conversational and approachable; often I find myself the one attempting to drive the small-talk (sometimes unsuccessfully) while waiting for my coffee, she was the more active member in ensuring that. They are going for a kid-friendly environment here and the lady was impressed with the clientele output that had already come within a couple of months of open business. Due to that unexpected result, new staff were already being hired.

It is also in a fortunately placed spot, with plenty of pavement space to lay out tables and decorations that includes turf and things to hold kid's attention. They have plenty of sails for shade to keep a cool temperature and the vibe is overall more looking at the suburban side street than the main road of the shop front.

Going here mid-walk with the housemates, we stopped off here (with the dog, who is a hard one to control) and had a good breakfast. To start with I thought to go a bit different and opted for their banoffee smoothie - a combination of banana & coffee. This was interesting, and could have been really good if there was a thicker consistency; regardless, this drink does have potential for their signature stand-out item.

The breakfast menu is straightforward, with an occassional and rotating special advertised on a blackboard. I had the blackboard special, which at the time was named "Stacks on Special". On top of some toasted Turkish bread, they spread some avocado then topped it with two poached eggs, a generous amount of bacon, several bits of haloumi, some cherry tomatoes and a handful of rocket which was all finished off with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

My order was good and very filling. The bread they used was really thick and toasted to the right amount of crustiness. Each item was sizable - most impressively the eggs, which the yolk was runny the instance they were pricked with a fork. Mixing the saltiness of the bacon plus haloumi, the freshness of the rocket and tomatoes plus the distinctive nature of the balsamic vinegar's flavour made for a well-balanced and robust dish.

They also had an eggs benedict, which I tried a bit of it as well. As a second time round, the eggs were well cooked and to my particular liking - where the yolk is still very much runny. The hollandaise sauce was distinct in flavour, and I am deducing that it is made in-house; if that is true then even more kudos to them.

Additionally, I got to try some of their beans and garlic mushrooms. Both of these were likewise just as good in terms of quality and flavour as the aforementioned dishes. Each menu item ordered indicated that this place is aiming for the homely feel, with honest dishes that utilise fresh ingredients. There are quite a few bonuses as such here, which is something that this suburban area needs in their dining scene to vitalise it.

This place is local and far from struggling. The coffee they do is really good, and with the genuinely pleasant service I would like to see them do really well; because of their demeanour, they deserve it.

Would not go back, more than a 20 min wait for a coffee and over 45 mins for breakfast to arrive.. Not overly busy, just seemed really unorganized.
Greg J Kentish
Nice food and coffee but terrible terrible service, they need to get better organised to serve food quickly, not happy!!

Fab!!. Thoroughly enjoy heading to deedot, beautiful breakfasts and great coffee but my absolute favourite is their housemade soda...amazing!
The service is also great!!

Top Notch. This place had literally just opened so thought Id give it a go. Coffee is sensational, really great service and some really good breakfast choices on the menu. I tried the baked beans and they were super tasty. Its got a really nice feel about it, Ill definitely be back

When you arrive at Deedot Coffee House it is highly likely that you will be greeted by Jade. Jade and her partner Darian run this coffee house in Holland Park on Brisbane’s Southside. That first impression Jade gives of warmth, friendliness and great customer service is something that is lacking in so many places.

For Brisbane Southerners the name Deedot should not be foreign. It has lately graced the screens of everyone’s Insta-feeds. But until yesterday I hadn’t been and I don’t know how I have missed out for this long! It is one cool coffee house. I made a list to show you why I found it so cool: * The owners were so nice; they came outside and had a solid chat to us and made the whole experience lovely. (BONUS INFORMATION: for those who are Garden City locals or have gone into Deedot and couldn’t figure out how you knew the owners I have the answer for you. Deedot is owned by two young people: the lady used to manage the two Boost Juice stores at Garden City and the man used to manage the Gloria Jeans there. Cool right?) * The mix-matched furniture is adorable. * They have managed to create this amazing atmosphere in a store on Logan Road (not an easy task). * The coffee is delicious (go the mug size). * The menu has heaps of options – every option equally as delicious. * O h and did I mention their table number frames are from IKEA and well I love me some IKEA purchases. I do have one suggestion: check the trading hours before you go. Or is that common sense? Haha. Well for people who work all weekend (like me) I forgot that it was a Sunday afternoon and that they would be closing early (around 3pm I think) so I felt terrible as they packed up around me. To conclude my first café review – I loved it. It had a nice atompshere, lovely staff and killer food. Oh and my skinny latte was splendid. The café owners had a beautiful dream that has blossomed into a humble little store. Parting score – 8/10. Deedot Coffee House was recommended by a colleague of mine, I had always been reluctant cause its out in the burbs (Holland Park West!). But after checking out the Urban Spoon review (83%), decided to give it a go. It really is in the burbs... I ordered the Stacks On ($16.50), on GF bread (pumpkin based I think), with smashed avo, crispy bacon, two poached eggs, haloumi, herbed cherry tomatoes on a bed of rocket, drizzled with balsamic glaze. To be honest, it was pretty average,

Where: 973 Logan Road, Holland Park West When: September, 2014 dine_with_v: egg benedict with smoked salmon, the stack breakfast, chicken caesar turkish, cold press juice, cold drip coffee, fruit frappe verdict: a quaint little suburban cafe on the south side with mostly outdoor seating, with an offering of all day breakfast, lunch and drinks. not sure if it was because it was quite cold and windy – all the dishes brought out were cold which wasn’t a huge deal for me personally but may be for others. I was especially impressed by the cold-pressed juices as it was extremely fresh and served generously in a tall jar. DELICIOUS! the staff were quite casual and chilled, happy to assist and not at all over-bearing – which is always a plus for the weekend brunch scene. On a lazy Sunday morning you might find us wandering the streets of the Greenslopes/Holland Park West suburbs with an empty tummy and hungry eyes in search of good breakfast. These two suburbs are home to a few of our go to brekky destinations. The Rare Pear, Lady Marmalade... And now Deedot Coffee House. Deedot is located on Logan Road in Holland Park West not too far away from The Rare Pear. After wrapping up an amazing breakfast at The Rare Pear we drove past Deedot Coffee House on our way home and thought "We should really try that place soon." We'd been following them on Instagram for some time now and the photos of their ' Stacks On ' and ' Rockdeerroad Shake ' was enough to give any foodie heart palpitations! Fortunate for us we had an upcoming breakfast date with a few of our favourite Brisbane foodies and had yet to decide upon a location. Deedot Coffee is a friendly, vibrant place. Its the perfect location for catching up with a group of our closets mates. We soon found out that we weren't the only ones who had planned a breakfast date at Deedot after arriving one Saturday morning. The place was full! Deedot serves breakfast all day long . The menu is composed of sweet and savoury brekky dishes. There isn't an overwhelming amount of choices- with only 6 dishes on the breakfast menu ....but decision making and the mornings don't really go together do they Deedot keeps it simple. Since we had a nice size group we were able to sample the majority of the dishes you can find on the Deedot Breakfast menu. The dishes were very sizeable! Everyone in our party left with a extremely full and satisfied tummy. The menu may be small but it's packed full of flavour. We are confident you'll be able to find something to satisfy your early morning cravings on the Deedot menu. There are also GF options available. Deedot serves Uncle Joe's Coffee so you can support a local roaster while enjoy your avo on toast. Deedot Coffee House is open Mon - Fri (6am-3:30pm) &

My breakfast came presented on a bread board with the scrambled eggs piled on top of the bacon and toasted turkish bread. It's not my preferred way of getting eggs and bacon, so I pulled the bacon out and placed it aside. My eggs were pretty good, steaming hot (even in the cold) and nice and creamy. The bacon was good too, but my absolute favourite on the board was the ramekin of garlic butter mushrooms, which were seriously yummy

My friend and I arrived around brunch time, and unfortunately on this rather warm day, the venue only has outside seating. It was quite busy, nonetheless, as they also cater to takeaway coffees and a cabinet full of goodies - the bagel looked amazing! We got a table, ordered our food, and this is what we ate...

I had a simple Bacon and eggs (which can be ordered how you wish), roast tomato and tomato relish on sourdough. The scrambled eggs were done really well, creamy and fluffy, sitting atop nicely cooked bacon. The herbed roast tomatoes went down well and whilst I didn’t end up dipping much into the tomato relish on the side, it was also quite scrummy.
