I enjoy eating here. Staff are friendly, nice spot in Ascot/Hamilton, coffee is good, and every time I order my breakfast, I get exactly what I ask for but never finish it.. Nice little gem to have in the area
Nice cafe on Racecourse Rd. Really nice breakfast. My eggs were exactly what I asked for, bacon a bit dry but nice and crisp and toast was perfect. The relish was nice too. Coffee was too weak for my liking. Outdoor area really nice. OK service, good prices and a good menu.
We stopped here over the weekend and there was a really nice vibe and most seats filled. The menu has a little somethimg different, which is nice with so many cafes in the area. I will say the coffee was a bit weak and the beans a little watery but Overall a decent morning meal.

Had brekkie here prior to go the airport for the Melbourne trip. It was 7:00am but not very busy. We were the only table inside and there was another table of four outside. Ordered the Salmon Trio with Herbal Scramble, Breakfast Beef Cheek Chilli, Flat White and a pot of Lemongrass & Mint Tea. Wait-staff looked quite professional with sophisticated service. There were at least two chefs working in the kitchen and we still had to wait for a while to have both savoury dishes on the tables. First of all, drinks were above average, particularly the coffee was strong, smooth with nice coffee art. My dish of Salmon Trio was the first time that I had such kind of presentation. I appreciated that there were three types of salmon in the same dish but I could not see the match of the taste although they were different in textures. On the other hand, I think the chef should re-structure the plating because it did not look good. The brekkie with beef cheek was again different from the competitors. Poached eggs were done perfectly, however, it was lack of acidity so it delivered a very filling effect. Overall, this café was not bad to have a change if you get sick of those boring brekkie menu from your usual spot.

Really good food, great service, priced well. Good location. Some good coffee also and great seating. Parking isn't too bad, comes down to luck but there are plenty of side streets and then a short walk. I just love the location and seating, food and service
I love Journey!!! The best cafe in Brisbane - we've been coming here since it opened, and have been consistently impressed with the food and the service. The owner is always present, and comes by to make sure all is up to par - great place for children, they always bring the food out early. The menu is always inventive, but still has classics like pancakes and fruit muesli. Try their banana bread, the best I've ever had.
I rarely get this enthused about restaurants in Brisbane, but this one ticks all the boxes!
Can't fault our breakfast experience here. Great staff, food was fresh, delicious and creative. 8 of us dining and all were pleased with their meals. Prices very reasonable too. We'll definitely be back!

Really fantastic coffees here, and a very extensive all day breakfast menu to top it off! The food is also beautifully presented and the staff are equally wonderful. A great place to brunch with friends and family!
I can here with family for morning tea / brunch. It was a pleasant atmosphere and quite busy. They have free wifi available. I didn't particularly enjoy my salad but the Choc banana muffin and breakfast roll were great. Plenty of drink options with syrups!

For me to rate a cafe a five it has to be good & I have to say Journey is just that. The food speaks for itself, simplicity complimented by top quality ingredients & picture perfect on the plate. Last but not least, has to have flavor & the coffee has to be great. Coffee in this instance was Toby's estate (a particular favorite of mine) was poured well & was bang on in the flavor department. The minted pea special dish which I had for breakfast came with bacon from the Lockyer Valley- Schultes Meat Tavern. This used to be a regular haunt of my Fathers, he used to make regular trips to the Lockyer just to buy their bacon & homemade sausages, then rave about them for days after being consumed!! I am vegetarian, but had the bacon on the dish to share with the pooch & partner-both of whom devoured it in glee I have to add! Partner had the omelet which he commented floated off the plate! I think the included potatoes held it firmly down though LOL! Last time I was at Journey I forgot to review it this time I forgot my phone so couldn't take a pic-no matter will definitely be back as this is on our permanent hit list
Friend and I enjoyed this place so much that we sampled their menu twice in the same day. Excellent service, relaxed atmosphere and delectible food.
Great food! Lots of different and interesting things to try. We stop in here every time we fly into Brisbane, and have never been disappointed.

Amazing service, and amazing food! Everything was presented perfectly. Value for money too - I thought it was a bit pricey, but you get your money's worth. The chips were awesome, but me and my partner couldn't even get half way through the bowl because the serve was so filling. Looking forward to going back.

Great awesome food here with excellent service and relaxing decor. Our salads were made with the freshest ingredients and were presented to us superbly. Chicken was slightly dry & lacked seasoning, but overall balance was great. Will return again!
Breakfast here was Amazing, went with the Family and everyone had a great time, the food was fresh and delicious, my partner said her 'Fish Cakes' were the best breakfast she has ever had! My Breakfast Board was almost to much to finish, it was a fantastic meal they have done something special with their menu! And the coffee was great, coming from Melbourne I'm a bit of a Snob when it comes to my caffeine, but their brew definitely hit the spot, so much so I ordered a takeaway as we left.
The staff, I don't even know where to start, from the moment we got there they were perky and attentive always on hand whenever we needed anything even though the place was packed. Overall great experience!

Breaky delight. My sisters and i had breakfast here and the food was amazing. One of my sisters is vegan and often finds it hard to find sonething interesting to eat. She loved her quinoa muslea also. However coffee was not up to par, so recommend fixing that, but otherwise amazing.
Best cafe on Racecourse Road. Racecourse Road has a plethora of cafes and restaurants, most of which are great. Our favourite though is Journey Cafe. It's reasonably new but, from frequenting Racecourse Road most weekends, we've noticed it's gradually got busier and busier and now rivals Coffee Club next door in terms of numbers. The reasons for this I would put down to friendly staff, great coffee, a nice clean fit-out, and well presented and tasty meals. Prices are on a par with most cafes in the area, not particularly cheap but hey, this is Racecourse Road after all.

Yummy Salad. I met a group of approx 10 friends at this cafe on a Saturday for lunch and were warmly greeted by staff. The food all came out in a reasonable time considering the size of our group and my Chicken Vietnamese Salad was a great size and full of flavour - will definitely have that again.
Excellent. This is second time we have been to Journey for breakfast and absolutely loved both times. Really nice menu and prepared to perfection. The meals are very generous but I stop eating it all because it was so tasty.
Now have to make it good lunch because the lunch menu look equally as good.
