Always fresh, great flavor and the owners are fantastic. They always look after our kids when we dine in as well. Never had a bad dish and been going there for 5 years.
Thai Flavour is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants I have ever been to. I visit on a regular occasion whether it is dine in or take away. If you are out of the area it is sure worth the drive.
The food is mouth watering and tasty. I have tried most things on the menu and not once I have been disappointed. Some personal favourites are Beef Hokkien Noodle, Garlic Pepper Beef Stir-fry with coconut rice, Sweet and Sour Pork, Golden Parcels and Curry Puffs!
One of the things I like to do is search for authenticity in setting, service and taste. These being my basic criteria give me a realistic review of an establishment. Enough! You all need to give this place a go.
This place has 100% authentic taste that it makes you feel part of the family. I had the noodles and curry which were delightful. Food was served simple with thought and not overdone with unnecessary decorations.
Don’t miss this one.
Absolutely delicious food so tasty very authentic Thai. Can't wait to try more dishes definitely worth ordering from them. Staff are so friendly, great prices, they are willing to take out vegetables that you don't like and replace them with something different if you like.
This is my local, I have never been disappointed. I have never eaten in only had take away. The food is always fresh and tasty. A solid local Thai joint that is not flashy. I'm a sucker for Pad Thai and spring rolls and they are pretty good. I highly rate their money bags. They do a good soup and green chicken curry.
Service was soo friendly I felt like it was my second home. Food was top notch, better than my mums cooking (she is an amazing cook). The yellow curry, pad thai was delicious and the curry puffs were to die for! Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for an amazing and satisfying meal. The waiter (son) is cute too :P
Thai Flavour is our favourite Thai restaurant in the area and we've tried as many we could find in Moorooka, Annerley, Yeronga, Coorparoo, Tarragindi, Holland Park.
Their curry puffs are delicious and every meal we've had has been consistently delicious! I've taken family and friends there and they all agree!
But best of all, Duc and his son are so incredibly warm, friend and welcoming! I truly enjoy going there every time!
Quite tasty Thai food. I wonder why the prices on their menu on their website have not been updated to the current prices, which, for a small eatery in an area of Holland Park which really has no 'atmosphere' , now aren't cheap. Is this a ploy to get you to come in and then find out their real more expensive current price? Friendly service as well.
Authentic Thai food. Strong flavours and the beef salad is the best I have ever tasted. Excellent service and Duc is always friendly and welcoming.
Best Thai in Brisbane ! Duc is amazing owner and great service. Food is even better. Massaman, yellow curry, peanut stir fry, chicken fried rice are all great
BEST THAI EVER. I have been a regular of Thai Flavour ever since Duc and his gorgeous family opened... They are always so happy to see us and even know what we like to order (or what vegetable to leave out of our dishes or how hot to make it) the meals have been perfect Everytime. I too have converted people to be thai flavour regulars...
Mmmm I feel like Thai flavour now
Absolutely delicious food, friendly and attentive service. I always make time to visit Thai Flavour on each and every visit to Brisbane for consistently the best fresh Thai food in Brisbane.
Hidden Suburban Gem. I've been ordering from Thai Flavour almost exclusively when looking for a Thai food fix for years now. When I first moved to the area about 7 years ago I discovered the deliciousness of Thai Flavour and I've been a loyal diner since (even during residential stints in far from local suburbs). Now I'm happy to say I once again reside in the area and can call this place my local Thai restaurant.
The food amazing. While the shop front is small and unassuming, the service is second to none and the flavours are fresh and delicious. My personal favourite is the Pad Cashew Nut stir-fry (I recommend it with lamb), but I've tried a number of dishes over the years and I've never had a bad word to say. Similarly I've converted a number of friends to Thai Flavour and the consensus is always that it is the best Thai they've eaten. The benchmark dishes are all fantastic (the Pad Thai is especially delicious), and the curries are rich and flavoursome.
The service is also well above the norm, with owner and constant fixture Duc remembering your name (even after only one or two visits) and all staff making an effort to go above and beyond for their customers.
For anyone who prides themselves on their ability to seek out the hidden little 'hole in the wall' gems of the local Brisbane food scene (and you know, for everyone else who enjoys delicious food) I highly recommend Thai Flavour. You will not be disappointed.
Thai Flavour - Holland Park, Brisbane. A small and surprisingly nice looking spot on the main road, Thai Flavour is lovely - perhaps a bit misplaced - and inviting for a meal or takeaway. Albeit that it would get cramped, it is really clean and brightly spry inside with some of the loveliest and most warm service you can find on the south side. It was my big sister's first day back in Australia after some time, and the first dinner meal was chosen to be take-away - this place was decided upon. It was worth it.
I put on some rice before leaving after the order was placed; the orders were as such:
Pork spicy fried noodles
Pad prik chicken
Beef massaman
Seafood panang
Red curry duck
Garlic lamb
The man I got was really efficient and friendly - all that is really needed for the local takeaway to be. He was a pleasant man.
Each dish was very good in its own way, with complex flavours and being distinct from one another. In defence, my big sister is good at organising that the meals are diverse when ordering. They were all pretty sizeable and generous in portion.
The Spicy fried noodles pork was a light meal consisting of rice noodles with egg, vegetables, basil and spicy Thai sauce mixed throughout. As opposed to some of the others, it was really subtle but at the same time biting with the hints of chili throughout the dish. Quite good.
As for the pad prik chicken was relatively light, getting on distinctive but still among the more simple of flavours with a combination of chili and ginger flavours. The chicken infused the sauce really well giving it an interesting edge.
Then there is the beef massaman - which is often my mum's favourite at Thai places. It is easy to see why with its combination of coconut milk, potatoes, peanuts and slow cooked beef; this is a rich and filling dish that is absolutely recommended at any Thai place, and this is no exception here. The sauce was thick and creamy with the peanuts adding to the texture.
The seafood panang worked out well as well, with seafood often being a gamble. It had a good selection of seafoods - prawns, scallops and squid. The peanut flavour added to the character of the dish.
The red curry duck was leaner than usual, still with flavourful duck. There was not a lot of meat there but plenty of vegetables. It was pretty good.
However, the highlight of the night goes to the garlic lamb, which was almost pure meat. It was stir-fried with shredded cabbage and infused in a dark and garlicy sauce. The meat was really flavoursome and tasty, almost like a pulled pork in many respects with infused sauce. The cabbage added a bit of distinction to it. All up, this was the best dish of the selection.
As far as the local takeaway goes, this is pretty good. It is cooked fresh and the people there actually seem to be enjoying their work. The food is flavoursome and bound to please a crowd at such short notice.
My husband and I are regulars and we always get seated promptly and receive excellent service. Food is consistent and always enjoyed.
After coming back from a trip to Thailand, I never thought I would be able to taste food as authentic in Brisbane but I was wrong! Eating food from Thai Flavour brought back so many good memories and I can't thank them enough. Their food is what I remembered, maybe even better! Thanks Duc and Kim, will be back to visit soon!
Wow. Great food & super friendly staff. I can't go past the spring rolls & pork fried rice
OMG so good! We thought our last local Thai was "clean" and fresh but this place beats it hands down. Incase you care, very well priced too! Yummy entrees!
Wow HOT !. Best thai food ever ! .. had the golden parcels and curry puffs for entree, and jungle curry and massaman beef curry, for mains, will be back for more soon, duc took the time to give us great personalized service which makes it just that much more enjoyable, 10/10
Great. I go here all the time its always amazingly tastey and fresh
My go to Thai Restaurant, lovely people, great food.
Cannot say enough good things about thai flavour! the staff are always so friendly and service is excellent. the food is consistently great - easily the best thai food i have had! such fresh, clean flavours! highlights include the golden parcels (brilliant!), chicken salad and pad cashew nuts.
Amazing food, amazing service. This is one of the great hidden restaurants of Brisbane. Huge vouch for this place. Enjoy
Good Food - Friendly Service. Duc and Kim run a great restaurant that is very popular with the locals. The food is always fresh and tasty and duc has a great customer focus, with an ability to remebers the sweetest sound of all - a person's name. Good-sized serves with a broad selection of dishes. Just the place to go for some local, informal dining.
Wonderful!!. Lovely service and brilliant food!! can't speak highly enough of the thai beef salad in particular - best ever. i'd recommend this place to anyone.
Been there for a long time but an absolute hidden gem.
Small dining area inside and out, takeaway orders are non-stop all because the food and service is ridiculously good.
Large servings, great flavours...can't ask for more.
Went here few weeks ago for the first time. Owner was welcoming, helpful and accommodated our needs. We wanted one of our dish a bit spicy and they made it perfect. We were on the fence about ordering spring rolls and ordered it anyways at the last moment. The decision we do not regret at all. They were fresh and the best spring rolls we have had. That gave us a glimpse of whats coming next.
Loved the food so much that we have done take ways few times after. Can't go wrong with any of their dishes. But above all their customer service is top notch. Great little place to go and get comfort food.
Highly recommended.
I came here because of the good reviews that the restaurant had on google and indeed I found that it is worth it, the food was excellent and the service too.
Good Thai food, friendly service
The food here is pretty good and well priced - but maybe more suited to the Australian palate - sweet and mild. The restaurant seems very popular with the locals and the service is very friendly.
The food was amazing and generous. I specifically had the hokkien noodle chicken (med spicy) and some green curry with duck. Let's just say, I'm yet to taste more authentic and succulent Thai food in comparison to this.
The boss was always very friendly and accommodating. My friend has never tried any Thai food and this spiciness before, the boss offered to have the chilli paste on the side so we put whatever we like. The medium spicy was just nice to my another friend and pur super spicy got me choked so, yes it meant super spicy. Coconut was excellent too. Definitely better than the Thai Corner which used to be the same boss but not anymore and they claimed to keep the chef. It's definitely worth the drive to Holland Park instead of Eight Mile Plains.
This place never lets us down. Great food, amazing flavours and wonderful and attentive staff. Massaman curry is one of the best and most authentic you'll ever taste outside of Thailand. Pad King was a taste sensation...
With too many other excellent dishes to pick from, you have come back again to try the others!
