Royal Punjabi Rasoi
š401 Upper Edward Street, Spring Hill, Brisbane-4000,
The Punjabi Rasoi at š419 Upper Edward Street, Spring Hill, Brisbane-4000, Brisbane team have opened their NEW Restaurant and Banquet Hall on the same street. It has an extended menu with a more upclass feel. The Ambience is quite good and food was great too.
Tried amritsari kulcha, noodles and royal lemon and soda(fresh lime soda)...it was great
Do try it if you are craving of good Indian food.
I was in such a hurry to eat my food here forgot the all important pics. Actually this place was buzzing the night we visited & when we saw the hot box food we actually walked out. Then after second thoughts went back as I was craving Indian. Partner was upset because there was only goat & chicken for the carnivores! He enjoys lamb dishes. First up we had the samosas & onion bhajis, both were giant sizes with a good crunch & generous fillings, nicely spiced. My main dish order was a combo of aloo gobi with a cheese curry. Both delicious, subtly spiced served with some very hot green chillies (requested) For hot box food we were impressed
It's a pleasure to see authentic Indian food 9000KMs away from India.

Punjabi music on the large screen create a perfect vibe for Desi Punjabi lunch.
What Did I Try ?
Rice With 2 Gravy
Roti Thali
āļøButter Chicken
āļøChicken Kadhai
āļøSahi Paneer
āļøChole
Australia loves butter chicken in a sweetish style, and Punjabi Rasoi has done well to live to the taste. Tender chicken pieces(boneless). Perfectly blends with steamed rice.
I would prefer Kadhai Chicken which was slightly spicy and and typical onion based gravy. Flavors of Indian spices are felt well. Accompany this with roti or rice.
Sahi Paneer was less sweeter than butter chicken and the Paneer cubes soft and tender. Loved this combo as this was served with roti.
Chole comes with mild taste and with roti this could be easily a lunch meal. Well cooked and right flavors makes this top choice for vegetarian.
Roti was slightly disappointing and expected this to be slightly think. It comes with ghee added.
Overall you can have a value meal around 10$ approx.

Perfect for those who are carving some quality food. Amazing authenticity being an Indian restaurant in Australia. Loved it and would recommend to everyone!!
Served in traditional thali plates, this meal brought back memories of India. Great flavour, quick service, big variety and cheap too $(60 for 4 of us). Highly recommend. Shame we canāt have dinner there tonight as well.
Punjabi Rasoi was recommended to me by a local and Iām so glad it was... The food is amazing, friendly staff and very well priced. I will definitely return when next in Brisbane.
Honest to God the best, most authentic takeaway Indian Iāve ever had in my life. The flavours, spice, value for money, it was all so incredible. I was actually sad when I nearly finished eating because I didnāt want it to end. Will definitely be making this my go-to for Indian.
Amazing food! One of the best one I've had. Not spicy and great vegetarian food. They have 6 options out of 9 are vegetarian food. Really vegetarian friendly place.
This restaurant beats every other Indian restaurant in the entire Brisbane. No can cook a better Roti if you compare it with Punjabi rasoi. The serve freshly Pan roasted Rotis with a bit of Butter on top of it. And they are so soft and fresh that you can actually eat it just like that without a curry.
I usually prefer Lamb Roghan Josh as it has boneless Lamb chunks. The veg Thali is amazing. I love the Baingan bharta and paneer mutter. Daal tadka is just too good. And the deserts after the dinner are special. I prefer hot gulaab Jamun.
This restaurant has saved the taste of Indian food in this town. Keep up the good work. I think you guys are on the Top
Iād seen this place open for quite some time but for some reason had never given it a go until a friend of mine tried it and recommended it to me. Although the curries are pre-made they are quite good and the value for money here is great; itās almost like a Miss India style setting but the restaurant has a much nicer atmosphere and the food actually tastes good. Itās always busy and going until late with plenty of late night workers and drivers stopping by for a bite to eat. They change their curries daily and have quite a large selection of both meat and vegetarian dishes. The rotiās here are made fresh and are delicious, they are the perfect accompaniment to the meal. I would highly recommend theĀ saag and also the malai kofta. I canāt believe I waited so long to try this place given I live less than two blocks from here but I will definitely be making it a regular spot from now on.
Good food, reasonable price, authentic indian taste... customer friendly team,. We tried vegeterian dish and were surprised with homely taste ... quantity of food is also just enough for a perfect dinner... those looking for homely food and good ambiance must visit...
The setting is little rustic, but the food is amazing and they do serve good portions. The chicken tikka and lamb rogan josh was well cooked and not too spicy. In vegetarian the daal makhni and bhindi was delicious. They also serve you with a dessert with the option of ghulab juman or ras malai, the ghulab juman was perfect as it was soft and warm melting in your mouth. Overall would recommend this restaurant.
Good Restaurant, my friends and me visiting here from few years. I am attaching the Menu list here too. Cheers
A Nice Indian restaurant in Brisbane. Tried Aloo Paratha and Masala chai for breakfast. Both of these items tasted good.
Great place to try Indian food. They movet to next place. Which if more better than before. I normally go there to dine in around once in 2 weeks. Every-time I go there, I tried something now. Lastly I had three curries with naan and rice. They certainly have to improve their naan making. Itās not that soft like naan bread. But everything else was really good. Got a lot of food for me in just $19. I will certainly recommend to try this place.
Good place with wide variety of Punjabi takeaway and dine-in. Easily accessible from CBD.
Was very busy and full of Indians, so took that as a good sign, if the locals are eating there then must be good..
I ordered the Butter chicken, rice and a cheese spinach Naan.
Food was flavoursome, of a good serving size and staff very friendly.
Many varieties of Indian dishes on offer...
