The Grays Way
One of the best chicken cashew nut stir fries I’ve had. Reasonable price and rice was $4 for a whole container amazing size and flavours so tasty!! Visiting overnight from Sunshine Coast. Glad I chose this for dinner takeaway!

One of my favorite restaurants, great for lunch or dinner. Food never ever disappoins, always enjoy every dish, and I've tried a lot... Staff are fantastic...family run business.....only wish they had more comfortable chairs...

Mine was good but the other 2 of 5 people in our group said the food was too sweet and not able to finish half the food. They need to focus on being more authentic rather than changing to be more westernised with no spice.

How to enjoy Tosakan: 1. Sit outside, your ears will thank you for it. 2. Don't order an entree (your main meal order goes to the end of the queue and will be an hour late). 3. Don't expect a free drink or discount when your meal is an hour late (you won't get it). I hope you enjoy Tosakan.

So yummy! Lovely service. A bit pricey but worth it.

Friends of ours love this place... then again they like the club across the road too... The Only really decent quality Thai Ive had in Brissy is from Siri.

Tosakan is my all time favourite Thai restaurant in Brisbane. I judge all other Thai restaurants to the Massaman Beef and Pad Thai from Tosakan as they are just consistently amazing. The meals are priced well and are good value, the curries are thick and everything tastes very fresh.
The staff are friendly and efficient and the small restaurant has a friendly but calm atmosphere.

It’s a nice place. The food could be a bit better. But otherwise yummy Thai food experience.

We love the spring rolls and fried rice, we order about once a week

Had the beef massaman curry, tofu and stir fried veggies and fish cakes - it was really delicious and the service was great. Definitely recommend it.

Delicious food! Satay chicken skewers & fish cakes are amazing. Pad Thai is delicious! Sweet & sour pork is so tasty. A little too much fat on the massaman beef curry would be the only negative comment.

Really enjoyed this place.

Went there with the extended family and the food was delivered quickly and is reasonably priced.

Staff were friendly and chefs were working their butts off.

Would definitely revisit

This place gets busy! We ordered the spring rolls and fish cakes to start, after a very long wait, we got calamari instead. As we were so hungry and had waited for so long we told them to just leave it. Bad idea because the calamari was almost inedible. It was so overcooked it was like chewing a piece of plastic. The fish cakes were also very rubbery in texture. The curries we ordered were good, but again had to wait so long for them. I enjoyed the chicken panang but it wasn't anything special. Tasted like any other Thai restaurant.

Really liked this place Nice rich flavours, there wasn't anything we didn't like. Spring rolls nice and plump and full of flavour. Interesting twists with lamb. Also had a red curry with duck which was on the expensive side. I don't mind paying for quality but there was seriously bugger all duck in the dish. It was bulked out with cherry tomatoes and other veg but there was no where near enough duck for 2. If you're willing to look past this then you'll enjoy your food.

WOW... Don't go to the club for a meal this place saves Chermside for dinner. Real food amazing service and maybe the service club should see how to serve a meal.

This was my review 9 months ago. I think the chief has packed up and left we had dinner here tonight and it was mostly frozen food and really wasn't up to par.

If someone can let me know if it has been change of manger/ chief or new owners it way different now.

Food was not bad , but it took us 30mins to wait!!there was only 3 tables at that time but they served the takeaway orders first and dine-in ppl last which made us feel really bad.

Love this place we come here at lease once a week. Food is amazing! Fresh, authentic, made with love and always delicious. Best thai I have ever eaten, try the stirfry with red curry paste. The staff are always so lovely to me and my boys!

I visited here a couple of months ago, and the food was very good - above average Thai. The service was a little on the slow side although staff were friendly. Food did take quite a while to be served. I would have given 4.5 if not for the slow service.

Update - went there on Saturday night. Food was ok. The Mussaman was very good though. Green chicken curry was very bland. No spice in it at all - very westernised. Service was again slow and the atmosphere was not great - far too noisy. Won't be going back in a hurry - back to Brightest Thai for my next Thai feast.

Just got take away from here. My order was made quick. Vege tofu noodle stir fry was tasty. Would try dining in next time. It looks quite inviting and warm.

Disappointed... After reading promising reviews we were very disappointed in 2 out of 3 meals ordered. We ended up ordering takeaway as there was no tables avail which is a good thing but already had our meals picked from menu. Cant complain about the service..but our king prawns were tough, i had to pick the shell of the meat, the special thai fried rice was not appealing at all especially with chunks of tomato and cucumber through it ??? The Grilled Duck was lovely so we managed to pull a positive..

Misled by high rating, should read reviews! Noodles wasn't cooked through. Raised the issue to waitress, same dish came out from kitchen minutes later. Nothing changed. Sweet and sour pork average. Highly not recommend it!

Lacking in flavour. There are many positives to recommend about this Thai restaurant, but overall each dish was sadly let down by a lack of the distinct Thai flavours and punch you come to expect in this cuisine, and rather catering for the bland palate.
Were this not so, all the other elements are there for a wonderful dining experience.

Don't think we will be returning to Tosakan Thai. Was looking forward to trying this restaurant after reading some positive reviews, but after the experience last night, can't see us going back with all the other excellent Thai options available.
Supposedly a wide variety of vegetarian dishes noted on their website, yet when asked there were only a couple of true options available (everything had shrimp paste and fish sauce) and my wife ended up having a peanut sauce on veggies which was average to say the least. Just because it doesn't have any meat product does not make it truly vegetarian.
Service seemed rushed and distant.
Something as simple as noticing the water provided was empty and required replacement was overlooked. Even the rice was clumpy and starchy (you would think with the amount of rice they would go through in a night, that they could get it right)
My pa-nang chicken curry was very gritty and only a 6/10.
I asked for it med, and it arrived with a clump of a chilli paste on-top.
As mentioned above, with all the amazing Thai restaurants on offer in Brisbane, can't see myself giving this place a second chance in a hurry.

Nice fresh and tasty dishes every time we go there. One of the good thai places in the Chermside area.

One of my favourite places for Thai takeaway in Brisbane.
Tasty, well cooked food, quick service & great staff. Just love the big chunks of beef in the massaman! Can't stand stingy places who give you crappy stir-fry strips.
Not exactly budget takeaway, but Thai is generally pricey regardless of where you go. Would definitely recommend.

OK Food / Poor Service. We were looking forward to trying Tosakan Thai, after reading the reviews and thought it a reasonably safe bed after a personal recommendation. Sadly we had a very mixed experience. I booked over the phone and though a small restaurant they willingly accepted our booking, we arrived to find that we were one of four tables seated outside (middle of May) with one small BBQ table heater to share with the other tables. We waited for 25 minutes to have our orders taken, and then another 20 for the entree's to appear. These were well portioned in size and tasty, we waited another 30 minutes from when our entree's were cleared for the first two mains and all four rice servings to arrive, the next main arrived 10 minutes later and after another 20 minutes due to the wrong dish arriving (chicken in place of beef) we had all our mains. The mains were fair to slightly better than average in quality and presentation, but not up to charging $17 - $22 per main.
We went away knowing there are better value and customer focused Thai establishments in Brisbane.

I used to love this restraunt and go multiple times every week , they cater well for celiacs well they used to as the last 2 times i have been gluten poisioned when i specifically ask for gluten free, i gave them a second chance but it happened again. Amazing food but celiacs beware !

ALERT: Vegetarian options contain fish sauce.

Good food and extremely poor service to say the least. Shame.
Mel
Very BAD service. Staff are rude and food is slow. Beware as they overcharge on bill so make sure you triple check the tax invoice!!

100% worth it!! This is truly one of the best Thai restaurants in Brissy. Well priced with more than a generous serving. The staff is super friendly too. There is simply nothing to fault this restaurant! Thumbs up +++++

Food was average, not great.Service was minimal, could have done with more on the floor.Better for takeaway.

Great Thai. I have been wanting to try this restaurant ever since it opened and last night I did with 3 friends. Nice friendly staff, seated with a smile. We ordered 3 mains and coconut rice to share. We thought about getting a banquet but changed our minds as at least this way we get the dishes we want and not over do it. Well our meals were to die for more than enough for 3 females. It is BYO wine only I don't think the website states that. We will definitely be back.

This brightly coloured decoration was lovely behold and both Amy and I were pleased to note the interior was modern, offered a direct view into the kitchen and utilised warm brown tones.
