Visited Cheeky bowl at Newstead for lunch today and was lucky to experience the $5 taco day, had the chicken tacos and the beef tacos and I must say they were delicious, my partner had the chicken poke bowl and it was also very nice and was an extremely large portion
The price may put some people off for the poke bowls but I definitely think $5 taco tuesdays is great value
Revisited today unfortunately whilst the food was still good the service was slow and tables that arrived after us were served first, also only half the meals came out and they were finished
My new favourite place! I’ve been here three times and still haven’t remembered to take a photo of my food before it’s all gone. I have Coeliac disease and the staff are very aware of cross contamination.
Enjoyed my poke bowl, made my own and it was fresh and tasty 😊. No complaints at all 👍🏾. Would order again.
Only went for the Butterbing cookie sandwiches and they did not disappoint! Shared the vanilla bean, salted caramel and peanut butter. Can be ordered with icecream but really don't need it.

I went here yesterday with a friend and was recommended the nori tacos. I ordered 3 - the kingfish, octopus and wagyu beef (pictured). All three were delicious, fresh and light, and cost $20. The edamame with the chilli salt were great as well. The decor was modern and light, with exposed concrete and timber theme, and the dining area was spacious. Reasonably priced, and well worth a visit if you're in the area. Shame you can't give half stars as this place would have scored 4.5.
Just had dinner here on Thursday night and the place was quite full. Took long time to get my food but it’s okay due to being super busy night. Have plenty of spaces to sit indoor and out. All items in my bowl felt fresh and I got the salmon bowl and a kombucha. Good amount of rice and rest of ingredients and I liked the flavours. One bowl is definitely enough for a person. Friendly staff and overall happy customer.
First off, we started with their 'Taro crisps' which can be served with either wasabi mayo or beetroot hummus. We chose the wasabi mayo and it was well balanced, not overly spicy from the wasabi. The taro crisps were so addictive and we nibbled them all in no time.
Absolutely delish! This place was full this afternoon when I came here. I ordered the kingfish poke bowl and it was huge, the ingredients are all super fresh and the kingfish was amazing. The staff are also really friendly, the ordering process can be a bit lengthy so perhaps they have another member taking orders. Other than that it is a great venue with yummy food.

Phuong Tran and I accept an invitation to lunch here this week. As we walk in with Mum at 11.45am we admire this beautiful Poke restaurant. We are warmly greeted by friendly staff and are promptly seated. We sip on Cocktails, a Brookies Sloe Gin ($12) and Ink Gin ($14), while we wait for our meals. Thank you Bartender Anthony. This restaurant is fully occupied by the lunchtime crowd. Wait staff and the Kitchen are flat out taking orders, preparing and serving meals. The teamwork by the Cheeky crew is impressive. Thank you Clare and Will for looking after us. Good luck Cheeky Poke!
If you’re looking for something scrumptious and filling without feeling bad afterwards, this is the place for you!! I ordered their Pork Gyoza Bowl and the BF ordered their (Seared) Tuna Bowl. I paired it with one of their Jasmine Tea Kombuchas. Soo yummy and really filling! Absolutely loved the sauce that came with my bowl. Really keen to come back and try their tacos!

Took my partner today to the newstead cheeky poke bar today. She has never been a really big fan of poke, but she really enjoyed the tacos we had today. The venue was great and really nice, staff were very polite as well.
This shop look busy so i would gave a go. It was quite a queue but we got our order within 5mins. The portion is huge and price is very reasonable. Everything taste so fresh
Came here over the weekend. Staff were friendly service was fast. Very appreciated. I will bring more friend here next time.

Ordered the tofu bowl - really beautiful presentation and generous portion size. Each item in my bowl was tasty individually but I think it needed a thicker sauce to bring it all together - the current sauce just dripped to the bottom. I also wasn’t a huge fan of the guacamole (maybe it was just avocado mash?) in the midst of a dish that’s primarily asian flavored and therefore was lost in it. Anyway, there’s also the option for wine and cocktails which is cool.

It’s poke as you know it but with the extra taste of fresh branding and presentation.
They have an exciting and innovative menu but I’m a sucker for fresh salmon, I can never go past it! Especially here because you know it’s served up with a variety of healthy accompaniments but is still the hero of the dish.
Love the atmosphere and cocktails, the decor and vibes bring the classiness to a cheeky healthy menu.

Would give Cheeky Poke a 3.5. Really cool atmosphere, nice and bright and the decor was warm and trendy. The restaurant was easy to find and there was plenty of parking available.
Ordered the scallop and salmon nori tacos, these were super tasty and the seafood was very fresh. The edamame beans and the chicken bone broth are a must order! So tasty, the broth was deliciously salty, hearty and flavourful. The edamame beans, tender and the perfect amount of spice. Also created my own poke bowl, with fresh salmon, and you can choose your own toppings. A very generous size.
You can download the app, order and pay through the app which is super convenient, however there were some crashes which made it difficult to use.
Went on a Friday night, so naturally it was quite busy and there was a bit of a wait, however not too much that it deterred from the evening. It can get quite expensive, especially if you want to try the tacos and the poke bowl. I would come back to Cheeky Poke again, to try different poke combinations and some other menu items.
Since first coming here we have been back every week religiously. Food is fresh and tastes amazing. Price is completely reasonable, especially considering how generous the poke bowls are. Approx $35-40 for two of you just get the bowls. Service is always friendly and speedy. Shout out to Claire who works there and is always taking care of us!
Great food. Could eat food like this all day long everyday and not be tired of it. Ordered a salmon signature bowl and nori taco both were delicious.
Almost give the rating 3 out of 5 because the food is a bit pricey and the last time i went here, the service was slow. It took them 20+ minutes to deliver my tacos. The food is pretty good. Poke bowl ain’t bad, sushi tacos were great, and what makes it even better is when you choose the sriracha mayo sauce, amazing! However, I am not a a fan of the original preset for the taco since it comes with turmeric rice. To me the flavor of turmeric doesn’t match the overall sushi flavor. I normally get my tacos with brown rice and of course, salmon. Both the seaweed and wonton based for the tacos are recommended. The wonton based is very crunchy. Last but not least, the place is designed very nicely and it is cozy!
Dined with my partner at Cheeky tonight and really liked the concept. We ordered the Nori Taco’s (salmon, tuna and kingfish) all three were delicious. We also ordered one poke bowl to between us. We chose the tuna. Sashimi could have been fresher for the price of $20 and my $11 glass of Shiraz was tasty yet definitely over priced. Overall great post workout diner. Great if your watching your weight but will not miss your back pocket.
Pretty good poke. Love their turmeric, coconut rice. Very flavoursome and different. It goes very well with all the poke components. Their nori tacos are delicious, but could do with a more generous topping. Poke had very generous servings and all the ingredients worked very well.
I really liked the design and layout of this restaurant. It has a nice feel. Staff were all so friendly and helpful too.
The poke bowls were delightful. Lots of fresh flavours and choices. And the staff will help you choose items that match. It would be good to try more of the sauces. We had the coconut and lime which was very coconutty, but yummy. And the miso tahini - really enjoyed that one.
It is a fair bit pricey for a poke bowl and the size. The location is not amazing, other than for the business people in the local area.
Cheeky poke bar was quite easy to get a seat with a cool vibey aptmosphere. I thought id try the tacos as i have never had one like these and i have to say they where amazing. They held well when eating, the balance of the crispy shell with the fresh ingredients inside balanced with some japanese mayo 👌. The service was pretty good, food came pretty quickly. Lookforward to trying other food on the menu.
Best poke bowls going around. Fish is fresh and is the only place I would go for a poke bowl now. Staff are also super friendly. Highly recommend.
Delicious and super generous poke bowls! I tried for the first time this evening and will definitely be back. I thoroughly recommend the greens as a base - it’s not the usual sad salad leaf combo, instead it was a fresh and satisfying mix of broccoli, bok choy and kale. We tried custom salmon aburi and chicken bowls and both were wonderful!

After a long time looking for an interesting place I found myself just at the entrance of this recently opened restaurant.
The menu is simple enough so you don't get lost but still offers enough variety to please picky eaters, the decoration is modern and inviting and staff is able to give one of the best services I've had around Brisbane.
After considering what to order from the menu my partner and I decided to try a bit of everything so we had a Tofu poke bowl, a wonton taco with tofu and the taro crisps which we changed the dipping sauce to tahini miso.
The taro crisps were indeed crispy and just perfectly seasoned, they were cold when I started eating them but I'm not sure if that's because I was sitting outside on a windy day or if that's how they are supposed to be, either way I enjoyed it and the dipping sauce was a nice addition. Would rate it a 4 out of 5.
The poke bowl was probably the best of the three dishes, with plenty of different veggies which were all fresh I was astonished by all the different textures and flavours coming from It! I would rate it a 5 out of5.
The taco was probably a let down for me, if compared to the bowl it was not only way more expensive but also lacked in flavour and filling. Would rate it a 3 out of 5.
Overall it was a good experience and I would be happy to come back at anytime!

If you love good healthy food and great service, this is not a place to miss. This is my first time to the restaurant as recommended by my son and his fiancee so I wanted to try everything and with the friendly waitress’s recommendation I tried the salmon Poke Bowl. Not bad for $210.00 for a family of 6 which includes entree, maincourse and drinks. So fresh, flavorsome, healthy, generous servings, and value for money. Just amazingly delicious. My husband tried nori tacos with octopus 🐙 and beef . He enjoyed every bite of it . So as the rest of the family. Definitely enjoyed our dining experience. I will definitely be a regular customer!!

Want the healthy alternative of sushi?? Yes please 🙋♀️ I love how they have the chicken broth on their menu aside from the miso soup. The food came out and it was huge servings and it look so beautiful too. They also have 4 different flavours of melting moments and we got the peanut butter and vanilla..oh my, they're to die for! A must try for all the local or visitors out there.
Mmm delicious! coconut lemongrass chili 🌶 bone broth glass noodles topped with #gyoza 🥟 and slices of lime and dropped egg 😋
The nori tacos 🌮 - 1 with octopus and other with kingfish were outstanding! So tasty and crunchy)

The menu has lots of MYO options. Not surprisingly we needed takeaway boxes and didn’t get to try the poke bowls- that’s for another time. Booking a table was a good idea. We haven’t visited this area in Newstead since the redevelopment of the old Newstead Gasworks- wow what a food precinct this is- guess we’ll be back!👍👍🎉

Ordered a poke bowl takeaway and had an amazing experience. The meal was delicious and they didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients which was refreshing. Good value for money and high quality salmon. The staff are very welcoming and seem genuinely happy to be there. Highly recommend!
