Review Sings Asian Kitchen - Brisbane

Great noodle dishes, and Tom yum soup. We definitely prefer to eat in as the portions seem bigger and soups are always better eaten fresh.

I would like to give a good rating but i can't. Sweet and sour pork ..... no pork!! Sweet and sour looked good, but eating it on its own? for $20 plus? RIPPED OFF

This is basically a seafood only restaurant. If you are vegan, do not eat here. Two nights ago I had chicken, rubbery. Tonight I got just satay vegetables, and was left with a NASTY burning fishy taste. The veges were nicely done and the indoor seating looks nice, but avoid if you don't want your food cooked in a pan that has cooked seafood. Update: It's now 9 hours later and the nasty burning fishy taste is still there accompanied with a ringing in the head. After brushing my teeth and tongue, gargling with listermint and another mouthwash, butter menthol, cough syrup, food, it's still there and quite disturbing. 5 STAR WARNING!! If you are a decent Muslim or Christian or just want decent food, DO NOT EAT HERE!! I cannot say if this is just one meal that was poisoned or how long this has been happening but I warn all decent people not to eat here!! 15-April-2022.

We have been quite regular visitors to SINGS COORPAROO since it opened some 14 years ago. We have dropped in for dinner, had takeaway and gone there with friends. It is always a lovely experience in a casual environment with such a huge range of quality fresh and tasty food at reasonable prices for all dietary requirements. The most difficult part is selecting meals from such an extensive menu. The owner is caring and a delight. The staff members are pleasant and accommodating. One of the staff members, the lovely Sarah, even remembers not just our previous orders, but also our special requests. We love going to SINGS.

Very poor experience!!! Ordered a container of Honey Chicken - received 6 small pieces of chicken. Also got a small container coconut rice, crackers & 3 spring rolls. Cost me over $38 for the tiniest portion of food. Not enough food for 1 person. Phoned the restaurant, they didn't care. Extremely over-priced.

we regularly get takeaway here and the food is to die for. It's always delicious and the prawn chip are a must (note one bag is HUGE) and plenty for 4, get a second if you're really hungry. Good customer service.

I was here for dinner with a friend. As we went late the restaurant was empty. The food tasted fantastic! The hospitality was average. Overall still a good night.

Sings Asian kitchen is our go to place for great tasting Thai food. The menu is huge with a large range of entrees as well as main dishes. Generally we stick to the Thai curries as they are hard to beat and and the best tasting that we’ve tried in Brisbane. Can be quite busy on a weekend so best to book or go early. Four star rating as the service can be a bit hit and miss. Very friendly but awkward at times - worth it for great tasting dishes though.

They make great chicken cashew nut, Mongolian beef and calamari. However, the quality of food is often inconsistent. The Mongolian beef is either too bland or way too salty. Vegetables were raw, when we ask for the vegetables to be recooked. They just microwaved the whole dish (the food and plate came back piping hot which is an indication that the food was microwaved). This caused the meat to be overcooked. They often forget to serve drinks, and drinks don’t come until mid way through dinner. The staff always have to be reminded that the meals ordered come with rice.

Overall, when the food and service is done well, it’s a great experience. Unfortunately, they are very inconsistent with food quality and service. I used to be a weekly diner, but I would never order from here or dine again.

We had noticed this restaurant on a recent visit to Sitar so decided to try it as it seemed to be popular with the locals. My order was tofu with veg. There was too much tofu which was soggy by the time we arrived home . Also had a tom yum which was pretty average but at least had a bit of a chilli hit. Nothing tastes the same when it's take away though much better freshly cooked

Not customer friendly. Staff/Owner Kong did not want to serve us in the sense any request seemed like it was too hard for him. Gave us small entree plate and when we asked for clean plates for dinner, he shook his head and refused. He was hopeless and will not go back there again. Food average therefore one star
TteAlpha Menzies
Overpriced. All rice and only enough meat to 'stick in your eye'. Light on vegetables. Dishes were full of noodles or rice. Tried to overcharge us. Curry puffs used to be delicious, but have changed and the filling has disappeared. Would not recommend.
Natasha
Sat for more than an hour waiting for our order watching so many take away turn up order and get their food
Spoke to a takeaway customer he said he waited 25 mins
Walked out hungry and angry with other diners

Had high hopes for this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. Staff were friendly. However, dim sims were cold inside and main meals were average.

Very average. Heard good things about this place but was let down. Service was very slow and felt like we had to flag down staff even when it was quiet. We had an early reservation and the place wasn’t very busy. We arrived before the rest of the table but no drinks were offered. Food came out pretty fast but was nothing special. You get your money’s worth with portion sizes though. They should look at cutting down the menu size to focus on quality of the food.
Patelrb77
Authentic dishes and curries. Generous portions of dishes. One can not finish a dish, best to be shared. Kid friendly. Ample parking. Nice spacious interior with a mix of traditional and modern. We were a group of about 14 and the staff were very friendly.

This is your classic western asian cuisine restaurant. The restaurant is nice, the staff are nice but the food is not authentic or quality. Lots of sugar, lots of salt, poor meat quality and leaves you feeling disappointed. Will not come back.

Good size and good price. Ordered the pad Thai and the laksa -- the laksa needs more noodles!!!'nnn like wayyyy more noodles. Although the broth was really nice. Good service and good clean environment. No regrets. It's BYO so that makes it better
Giangoger
Too slow restaurant. Have to wait for the dine in food a long time and the meal never arrive at the right time. Entrée and main meal come very different if we oerdee everything together. Tye mainmeal may come first and then entree.

Very disappointed, my in laws were in town and wanted Chinese I spoke praise about how great sings was and we should order from there. Call up and ordered 4 meals and 3 orders of spring rolls (because they are the only place I know that serves them in lots of 3), I specifically asked if it comes with rice they advised me it did. Got home and opened it all up and there was only 1 rice, well that's a bit of a stretch for 4 adults. I called back to ask where the rest of my rice was and they informed me that 1 was correct as it only comes with the "main" meals, I told her that I specifically asked and that was not the original information I was given otherwise I would of ordered more. It might seem like a petty thing thing to complain about but rather frustrating when you've had a busy day and order take away specifically ask if it comes with something you're informed it does once you've driven picked it up and get home to find it doesn't.

This place has a dish for everyone. Fresh and full or flavour. The Golden bags were great and the basil duck was awesome. Deep fried ice cream was unavailable :(

This restaurant has been on the radar for a while due to its high Zomato rating.
It was roaring with activity when we entered as you might expect on a Saturday night, and the staff looked run off their feet.
It took us a short wait to get a table. Our order was taken quickly and incredibly the food arrived hot and freshly made on our table within 10 minutes. They must be a well run, well organised kitchen.
The restaurant is described as a Thai style Asian restaurant, which is not a bad description as it has a pan-Asian menu with a little more on emphasis on Thai dishes. I would not expect authenticity for the Thai dishes here, that is not what this restaurant is about.
We ordered a tom yum goong (prawns tom yum soup), coconut rice and chilli tamarind prawns.
I noted on the menu that the tom yum comes with noodles which is a little unusual. The tom yum soup was flavoursome and the thin noodles did not detract from the dish, and pretty much made it a main course rather than a soup. Thankfully it was not sweet! (That is a real problem with Thai dishes in Brisbane.) I rate this dish a 4.
The coconut rice was obviously freshly prepared. It was piping hot and moist.
The prawns with chilli and tamarind unfortunately was sweet, which detracted from what would have otherwise been a pretty decent dish. It had a well caramelised sauce and the prawns were cooked well. Overall it rated 3.5.
When I later asked why they make sweet a dish that should be spicy, sour and tangy, I got the old refrain that it caters to 'Australian' palates. They did however confirm that I could request for the dish to be made without the sweetness.
The rating of 4 is mainly for the fact that they provided a well cooked set of dishes quickly and with attentive service despite being so busy.

Usually I am a big fan of this restaurant, as their takeaway service is great! However, I came in for dine in service for the first time tonight and it was shocking. Took about half an hour to simply place our order and drinks, and then we waited an hour and a half for simple entree's for 5 people (soup, spring rolls, chicken etc). It was almost 2 hours since we had been served, and two tables who were seated and served AFTER us already had their main meals. We were on the verge of walking out when our meals finally came. They were nice but definitely not worth a 2 hour wait, or approx $20per person. When our meals arrived we had to remind staff that a few of the meals came with rice. Overall very disappointed. Came out for a nice celebratory dinner with friends and left tired, hungry, annoyed and even feeling a bit sick due to how long it took/a headache that had developed.
Will get takeaway from here again, but definitely do not want to dine in again or recommend the dine in service. Disappointed.
Catdog
Soft shell crab entree wasn't that great, pad see ew and char quay teow were nice with fresh veggies but chicken wasn't the best. I also had what looked like a piece of barbed wire in my noodles which unfortunately I didn't see until it was already stabbing my mouth.. Not nice!!

Spacious, warm, toasty location. The menu was full of a variety of delicious dishes. Staff were very friendly and provided good service. I definitely will return.
Theo
Not so great! After being recommend to us a while back by some friends, we decided to try Sings. We were disappointed! The quality of the food was average and the Thai Garlic prawn dish used bottled garlic which floated in the sauce.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was clinical and lacked any hint of authentic Asian Kitchen ambiance. We will never go back.

Sings Asian Kitchen

Atmosphere: 5, busy Asian restaurant.

Service: 5, nothing spectacular.

Food: 5, I didn't really enjoy my meal here and neither did the other girls. We were wondering why it was so busy considering what we got. Maybe we picked the wrong food, but there's plenty of other Asian/Thai restaurant to go to.
Flavietta
No air con on a 30 degree night
Rude staff
No atmosphere
Very average food
Nothing authentic about it, stir fry was greasy, rice was lumpy.
They seem to have forgotten that without customers they have no business. It was as if we were a nuisance intrusion.
Perhaps they've just got the wrong staff/ don't know and won't be going back to find out.
Awful
Awful
Awful
Never again

This is my go-to for a quick, yummy dinner out, at a very reasonable price! Great selection of meals, including vegetarian, they are more than happy to cater to other special dietary requirements including gluten free, vegan etc. Always very friendly staff and quick service. Love it!
Jos B
Went there last night (Saturday) to order takeaway. First time to this place after my fave thai restaurant changed management and went downhill. Disappointed that there was no indication of which dishes were gluten free and the hostess didn't really know what I could order. We ordered a prawn Penang curry and a beef massaman and they were ready within 10 minutes despite the place appearing busy with lots of people ordering and many takeaway bags awaiting pickup. I scored a 2.5 because only the massaman curry was edible. The beef was tender, the potato well cooked and the sauce creamy with a slight chilli kick- overall the beef dish was delicious. The Penang was a disaster on every level. The bowl was only half full, the prawns were small and tasteless, the vegetables were absent and the sauce was watery and overly hot considering it was listed as mild. On a plus, they include complementary rice with curries. If I go back it would be for dine-in so I could give feedback on the spot.

I get take away from here regularly and it is always delicious. The service when dining in leaves something be desired. You have to tackle wait staff to place your order.

Grabbed take away got home and the food was delicious had chicken and cashew, sweet and sour and fried rice highly recommend this place. Take away is set up well too
HanCat
One of our favourite take aways. Quick, well-priced, plentiful and very tasty

Decent food but terrible service. Took a long time to order had to pull waitress aside to order. food came out but rice didnt come out. service needs to be alot better or else wont be coming back.

Highly recommended all round Asian Restaurant. We absolutely LOVE this place, hands down it is the best for Menu Choice, Quality of Food and Value for Money.
It is always on our short list and many of our friends are now also regulars, well worth a try even better for groups of 6 or more who like to share their meals. Meals come out quickly and Staff from the owner down always make you feel welcome.

Fantastic food that was really well presented but our table of 8 had next to no service all night. We had to get our own wine glasses off the bar, we had to find a waiter to tell them we were ready to order, we asked twice for side plates, we asked for ice buckets but only got 1, the meals took a long time to come and our child was served last. The main meals came at 8pm - too slow given we arrived at 6.30. We had asked for a sweet and chilli fish for us and also a sweet and sour fish for our child as he doesn't like chilli - we explained this. They had sweet and sour chicken and pork on the menu but no fish. They said they could do it but then it was 2 sweet and chilli fish meals that finally came out. Not sure whether they didn't understand or were just unwilling. When we paid, they were happy to split the bill which is fantastic to see.

Finally - a restaurant that's worthy of eating out. We moved to Carindale from Newtown in Sydney and have struggled to find a place worthy of eating at. It's take 3 years, but we've finally found Sings. YAY! We will definitely be back.
Alanyuan424
Very nice curry dishes. Went there with bunch of friends for a birthday. Very lovely food and the service was great too. Will definitely go back again.
Jess
Great!. We have been twice and have had great service and amazing food on both occasions. we went for a birthday dinner and all 6 of us were impressed. The menu is fantastic too!!
Facebook User
Not great. Waitress had bad social skills and came across rude. Did not listen attentively and order was wrong. Food came out way too fast and seemed like no love and care had been put into it. Chicken was stringy and tough. Coconut rice was cold and way too sweet. Felt like we were in and out in 15 minutes. Atmosphere was good and other diners seemed to be having a good experience so maybe it was a one off. Either way, I won't be dining there again.
Eva Gillespie
AMAZING. Every time I eat here the food is fantastic and service is great. So quick with orders!!
Zach.hursh
Good times. The food and atmosphere I found to be pleasant and forgiving. The meals were presented quickly and neatly.
If I had to bring s negative to the conversation I would say zero preemptive service was offered and if you wanted something out of the order time you needed flares to grab attention.
K
Food was alright. The service from one of the female staff was TERRIBLE!! Bad customer service. We ordered a lot but she had such a snotty and rude attitude. Very disappointing, especially for the first time. Will not be returning.
FoodLover7
So delicious!. Went here on a weeknight for dinner with family. We had entrees & shared 4 mains. The entrees were especially yummy (dim sims, honey chicken). Service was ok & food reasonably priced. Nice new fit out & plenty of seating. Would go back.
N_patto92
Great Value. Simple asian food, which has something for everyone. The services is abit hit and miss though.
Perfect for an easy mid week dinner and fantastic value for money.
Josh Parker
The service was a legitimate joke. We sat there for 2 and a half hours getting drinks, entrees and mains and we had to stand up and get waiters to serve us every time.
Brisfoodanddrink
Good old sings. We love this place. consistent, good food. reasonably priced. well done sings!
CP
Deplorable service. Food was good but I haven't experienced service this poor for a long time. Long waits, ignored by staff, requests ignored, table ignored unless we pursued staff at the bar... And it wasn't even that busy. Will not be returning.

Quick and yummy meals.. I have been here quite a few times over the span of a few years, since back when it was two doors up the road. Meals are very nice and always very quick. Service is usually fairly good, though always very impersonal.

I once came in as part of a group of 14, and the service was very amateur. The waitress who took our orders had no knowledge of the menu and did not keep track of who ordered what. When the meals came out, we had to try and figure out which meal was which on our own. In their defence, they were very busy that night and the girl was probably very new to both this restaurant and front-of-house hospitality in general.

All in all, this is a quick, efficient restaurant with a large diverse menu of yummy food, but I don't think it has as friendly and welcoming of an atmosphere as most other small independant restaurants in the suburbs. Just my opinion though.
BigFellaBella
Always Solid. Regularly eat in or take away from here as the dishes are always tasty and good value for money.
Turnercourtney1
Love it. Really tasty and so quick! Never disappointed

An Asian restaurant for the Westerner. As many before me have suggested, this is not the "most Asian" Asian restaurant in Brisbane, but it's still tasty. We have been here a few times and ordered a variety of dishes, we mostly stick to takeaway though as it is usually quite busy. Massaman is my personal favourite.

$15 for a main is a very good price as well for what you get.

There's a parking lot behind the main frontage, but it is shared with the other companies and can get full quite quickly.
Lindy
We went for a going away dinner. The place was really nice we got seated at the back where the booths were. The food came out pretty quick and it was tasty and lovely. My favourite was the spicy yellow crab. My partner and I will sure be back again
Belinda Zordan
Great restaurant. Delicious food, great prices and great menu variety. Love the Chilli lemongrass tofu.
Gabba Dave
Solid Asian food. Went there early one Saturday night and we enjoyed the meal- rice paper rolls with pork, chicken fried rice and calamari were all nice. The pad Thai was really nice- wasn't stodgy like some pad Thais can be. We had really quick service but we were early and the restaurant was still filling up. It's not licensed so take your alcohol.
Am5moran
Very Poor Service. Saturday 1st Feb, family of five waited over an hour for entree. People who arrived later than us and placed their food order later than us were served before us. When spoke to staff and person in charge, they did not offer apology and showed a no care factor. The food was average. It was served cold. Would not recommend on a busy night as they clearly don't staff the place accordingly.
Georgia.davies
Amazing!. Absolutely love this place! Have been coming here for years, and have never been disappointed. Food is of excellent quality and flavour, and is so cheap! I often order a main dish, and take the rest home for lunch.

My absolute favourite on the south side!
Kawaii Bubble Tea
BEST ASIAN ON SOUTHSIDE. Extensive menu (chinese, vietnamese, thai), something for everyone. BYO and take-away. Never ever had a bad dish. Love this place, just as good as their Rosalie restaurant.
Kd240
Excellent food. Went to Sing's last Saturday with a group of 7 people. All of the food we ordered was excellent. The highlight dish was the basil duck. Great value and BYO
Gladsquirrel
Cheap, delicious, simple. Love it, eating in or taking away
Charlie
Great Restaurant. I have been coming here for years, food is always fresh, tasty, service is fast, and freindly, some days too fast and very affordable. I cant say one bad thing, I love it here.
Lucy And Sam
Average at Best. We chose this place based on Urbanspoon reviews... It was bad. The chicken and prawns weren't cooked well, the pad thai was soggy, too much bland sauce, very unappealing and the massaman was incredibly sweet- the peanuts weren't toasted and looked as though the sauce had a lot of cornflour in it.

Good things were the XO stirfry sauce and vegetables were very good (prawns undercooked) and the friend calamari was alright- although their wasn't much flavour.

Trying to find decent Thai in Brisbane has been my mission for the past three years... Sings is another miss.
Lord Gout
Terrible service, hard to get anyone's attention. Food was good but my partners meal was forgotten. Managed to flag down a staff member who said they'd look into it. Wait another 5 minutes, flag another staff member down who then went off and fetched the meal. Really poor service.
Dining Divas
Love this place. Tasty, fresh and always enjoyable, great for eating in or for taking away. Can't go past the duck spring rolls but most of the entrees are delicious. The main meals are generous in size and aren't expensive either. Service is pretty much always flawless can be a little slow when busy but thats to be expected.
Vanilla Margaritta
I like the atmosphere and I must say that the following entrees were fantastic: Satay Chicken and Salt and Spicy calamari. The duck spring rolls had too much lemongrass and that was all I could taste (the plum sauce that accompanied this was good though). The service was also very good. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the mains (had the Peppercorn Roastduck, Green Lemongrass seafood and the Mango Chicken) - these were not authentic (more westernised) and the sauces they used were over powering (Mango Chicken too sweet)- It's just too bad as I drove all the way based off some positive reviews- better off going to Sunnybank.
Snoz
Fix the bathrooms. This is one of my favourite local restaurants but prepare to queue if you want to go to the toilet. Only one ladies cubicle shared amongst 4 restaurants on this strip of Thai, Pizza, Greek and Indian restaurants.

The ridiculous system of fetching a key to go the bathroom and then waiting in queue spoils an otherwise great dining experience.
Nina
Been coming here for years- So fresh and LOVE the staff. Okay... so maybe I am a bit biased. My family live a few streets away from Sings and we were one of the first customers they had on the first night that they opened a few years ago. The owners are super cute and friendly, everytime my family walks past they say "Hello Clarke!" and get all excited. The asian woman who runs it is lovely.

The food is great, really fresh and tasty. Its the perfect place for takeaway on a Friday night when you dont want to cook but still want something healthy. Would recommend to anyone.
Cheryl
Don't bother making a booking because, even though you have a confirmatory text, they'll have no record of it when you arrive. If you order takeaway and they tell you 40 minutes, give them an hour and a half. If the food wasn't so good we would have stopped going here years ago.
Decocom
A favourite local option for take away or dine in. Consistently tasty food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Their popularity every night of the week is testament to their great service.
Food Critic
Absolutely delicious & fresh. We will definitely be returning for more :-)
Cheese Fiend
A good atmosphere for a group dinner, friendly service. Food was OK, but similar to home style asian cooking, nothing i would rave about, but not too bad either. Entrees were quite nice.
Metrogirl
Appalling service/attitude. I had a booking for a Friday night, which when we arrived there, they didn't have. However, we were given a table. We asked for a bottle of water which never arrived and we had to go to the bar to get one. My meal came out and it was cold. They did however agree to cook another one. After finishing our main meal, we were contemplating dessert. We never had a chance to order as the waiter came to our table and said if we wanted to order dessert we would have to sit outside to have it because they needed our table because they were busy. Our whole dining experience was done in about 30 mins. McDonalds at least doesn't make you move when you want dessert.
Joforker
Terrible service. Love Sings, but recently went for dinner on a Tues night to their new venue at Coorparoo. Absolutely atrocious service!!! I had to actually go into the kitchen twice in order to get any service. Then they made the wrong dish and we were completely forgotten about! The place was packed and we were at a table around the corner - completely out of sight out of mind!!! When we did get a waitress she could not speak any english and didn't understand anything I was asking her, she then disappeared before we had ordered and didn't return - I had my first trip to the kitchen to see if I could actually order any food. Sorry guys, I love the place but this night was bad beyond belief!!
Guy Incognito
Food court quality brought right to the suburbs - perfect for westerners who know no better.
Rohan Dwyer
Things have gone down hill. I have been a long term fan of Sings and didn't hesitate to order a takeaway satay chicken tonight when I was feeling like Thai. I have had this dish many times and it's always been fresh and delicious. Tonight when I picked up despite being the same cost the rice portion size was half of in the past and the quality of the ingridients had noticeably changed. I am not a foodie but it doesn't take a chef to see they are cutting costs at the expense of quality. Particularly the chicken was tough and dry. Time to find the next big thing.
TTG
Quantity over quality. So Sings have opted to trade from a huge new premises but at a cost. The quality of the food has certainly been compromised. It was a Tuesday night and the place was heaving, we ordered takeaway. The starters were ok which looked promising. Oh how disappointed we were with the mains. We have salivated for years over the pad thai and mussaman, sadly they were nearly inedible. The mussaman was too sweet!! As one reviewer suggested Sings may have become a victim of their own success. I have to agree and probably will not return.
Jesskaar
Very westernised. I'd say the food here is definitely tailored for the Western palate. Having said that, the food is still tasty and the service quick - but I would rather venture to Sunnybank to get a more authentic feed. I ordered the Green Curry, which was overwhelmingly sweet and not at all spicy (obviously tailored for the Western palate), unfortunately prolonging my search for the elusive, awesome green curry. I also tried the deep fried tofu, which was pleasant enough. I can't say I would go back though, but give it a try.
Eimmik
Great variety, fast service, decent prices. Went to the one at Rosalie not long ago and to the Coorparoo one tonight. This one feels much more like a restaurant and has a proper indoor space. The food is brought out in separate portions or you can choose to share by asking for a big bowl of rice (which keeps getting refilled). My mother cooks the best Asian food and has high standards for eating out -but Sing's has been given mum's tick of approval!
Food Lover
If you are Asian, and you can cook decent Asian food and you eat out in Sunnybank then don't bother eating here. One of the WORST Asian food place in Brisbane. I ordered stir fry Thai style noodle and it was disgusting. I could not eat it. 2 tiny pieces if chicken, 1 piece of broccoli, a couple of pieces of carrot and mainly tough plastic-like rice noodles with sweet chilli sauce all over it. Yuck! Thinking of it makes me sick.
Pankate
Aaaamazing! Fresh food, friendly and efficient service! We go to Sing's every couple of weeks! LOVE IT!

Sings Asian Kitchen - Coorparoo, Brisbane. One of the most lively and popular places to eat in Coorparoo, Sing's Asian Kitchen is one of two branches of the same restaurant. Advertising themselves as a comglomoration of different South-east Asian cuisines, it could sound like another indecisive and vapid pan-Asian place - but it holds up very well even above more specialised Asian places (e.g. some places that are Thai etc by and by). One night the household decided to get some takeaway from here and we are more than glad we did.

Often I would be able to critique the interior, the service and give a vague to specific description of the eatery. However, being fairly incapacitated (a long, irrelevant story) I stayed back and thus was unable to observe.
Heresay did infer it being popular and crowded - which is often a good sign.

With or without seeing the interior, the most important (and deciding) aspect is always the food - every order was good in its own way. Opting out of getting a pack, several different dishes were ordered instead. In the order was a beef musamum curry, a char kway teaw, a green curry chicken, a schezuean calamari, spicy lamb and peppercorn duck. All of them came with a dish of Jasmine steamed rice.
Starting off, the weakest was probably the green curry chicken. Being a bit thin on the sauce, it still was not too watery and kept the delicate flavours of green curry intact. The chicken was well cooked and tender with the vegetables fresh, crunchy and distinguishable.
More modest than the other dishes was the spicy lamb, with a combination of spicy flavouring and a hint of basil made for a dynamic dish that could be recommended as a beginner's guide to oriental cooking.
Rich in flavour and noodly in texture, the char kway teaw was quite good. Less fresh than the others, it combines a number of basics into something exquisite and is one of the best dishes from around the world. This was one dish that did not disappoint.
One of the more interesting orders was the szechuan calamari. The dish was very lively flavoured in a spicy-garlic sauce which infused with the vegetables brilliantly; there could have been more squid in the meal but aside from that was a fantastic order.
The peppercorn duck was a flavourful and understated affair combining a number of distinct ingredients into a more simple yet vivid dish utilising the deep flavour and texture of duck meat. Duck rarely ever (if never) disappoints and this one continues that trend.
Now the highlight of the night was the famous beef masamum curry. I heard about one person saying that this was the best masamum that they tried outside of Thailand; I cannot agree on the basis of never having been there. The sauce was rich in texture, deep in flavour from infusion of a tender cut of beef. The potatoes were well cooked and everything fell apart with ease.
The jasmine rice was cooked well, but there is not much else you can say about it - it is more of a side to mop up sauce than anything else.

Each dish was very distinct from the other and maintained its own merits well, some more than others. They all tasted very authentic and fresh and were at surprisingly affordable prices. This is one place that I shall definitely consider going back to (or eating from again); next time I might be able to talk about the interior and service aspects of the meal.
Bon Appetit
Good stuff. Im not a big fan of Asian cuisine but these guys do it better than most. They have a different offering to most Thai/Malaysian takeaways. Good fresh takeout.
Rebekah
Excellent food and great value. I've been twice now and not only is the food fantastic, it is great value for money. You can get away with entree and mains for two and have change from a $50. Being a BYO is a great advantage too. Try the mussaman beef curry - it's the best i've had outside of thailand.

I live nearby & tried other Asian restaurants in the area but this is by far the best. Service can be hit & miss but never really worries as food so good. Thai beef salad, honey lemon chicken & beef mussaman are highly recommended.

The Best. I have been eating here for years. Best, freshest variety of Asian food in town. Extremely good value too.

Mmmm. Just moved to Brisbane, and dont have much to say on this except it will be our takeaway of choice.

Fantastic. My meal was full of flavour and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly. The restaurant was full with customets yet we received our meals very quickly. This place is a real Gem.

Can always count on sings for a good asian meal at a reasonable price. fri and sat nights especially busy and you may have to wait for a table to dine in

Favourite local takeaway. I live a few minutes from Sings and generally buy takeaway from here once every 1-2weeks. Pong Ca Ri is delicious here!

I also have dined inside the restaurant once and my parents had a little trouble hearing us over the (very) loud masses which make the trip to Sings on Friday/Saturday nights. If dining in on the weekend, I'd definitely recommend going before 6.30.

Love sings. The food is great, usually get take out because it's always so damn busy to eat in, you can't hear anything but other tables having a good time!

I love going to sings for dinner, the service is always very friendly and the meals are delicious! I go there at least two to three times a week and they never fail to impress me!! Definately recommend this place!

AWESOME. Great food is always worth a review. i found sings quite busy but the staff managed to keep up with the fast paced night. Thankyou to the whole crew, your food and efforts do not go unnoticed.

Really fresh, tasty food, never had a bad meal yet! Only downside Is that because they get so busy they often get orders mixed up or forget- one time I waited over an hour after my meal was supposed to be ready! Very delicious though! Worth the wait!

Best Asian Food. I have been here many, many times, both dining in and takeaway and I can say it is by far my favourite local asian restaurant. The food is always delicious and full of flavour, staff always friendly. The only downside to this place is it gets busy at times because it is so popular! Tasty & fresh food, great service, reasonably priced, its an overall winner for me.

10/10. One of the best resturants I have been to. Quality food, well priced, and very friendly staff. Gluten-free food and a great authentic range also

LOVED IT - ALWAYS DO. We love Sings. Infact we rarely go anywhere else. Every overseas visitor we take there remembers it and asks to go back when they next visit. The kids love it and we always know the food and service will be consistently the same.

Not impressed. This place needs a serious clean! the floor was gritty and dirty and had cardboard boxes on it. seriously needed a broom and mop! the portions were big but cheaply made and were nothing special. if you can cook asian i wouldn't bother. if you don't mind a bit of grime and cheap prices and do not care about quality then i'd go for it.

A Family Favourite. Sings never disappoints! Generous portion sizes with fresh ingredients. Food is always served promptly despite the packed dinning room.

The experience made me sad.... I'd wanted to try this place for such a long time...
- it's close to home
- it's usually quite busy, and
- a few people I know have raved about it.

Sadly, after eating here I do not feel compelled to return. Although the food had nothing inherently wrong with it, at roughly $18-25 per main, I was expecting something decent. Instead, what I received was something that was very ordinary and very like your typical generic, suburban Asian food.

Given its location and the absence any Asians eating here, I should have known better. Now that I think about it, the only people who liked it have very boring palates. Shame on me.

Service:
- reasonable wait on food
- staff wander around aimlessly
- staff attention is hard to get
- staff did not understand what I was saying

Atmosphere:
- nothing remarkable about the decor
- nothing remarkable about music choice
- the alfresco setting is almost fully enclosed
- they get pretty busy around dinner time

Verdict: it's all a bit ho hum... I'm pretty sure I won't return.

Disappointed - will not come back. I was so disappointed tonight. I used to LOVE Sings and thought it was just the best value for money, excellent service and it was always buzzing! Unfortunately, tonight's experience has made me decide never to come back.

First of all the service started off by being disastrous. One of the waitresses came with our entree (satay chicken) and our plates to share - all stacked up in a pile and just left it in the middle of the table. We also had to clear the table for her (understandable as she was holding a lot of things) but she did not ask, she just stood there waiting for us to move the water out of the way. Then she just plonked the stack of plates with the entree dish on the top and left without saying anything! After we finished the first entree, the same waitress came with our second entree (fried tofu), saw the finished satay chicken plate and asked if we had finished. We answered yes, expecting the finished dish to be taken away, instead she paced the second entree dish on top of the finished plate! We were shocked and I asked her nicely to please remove the finished dish from the table.

We were then served one of our mains which was the red curry duck, and on the side it came with a bowl of rice. To call it a bowl of rice is a joke, it was more like a bowl containing a few spoonfuls of rice, it didn't even reach the rim of the bowl. We thought maybe coz it came with a dish it was supposed to be half full? But a few minutes later the table next to us received their curry and rice and their rice was topped up onto the bowl forming a dome of rice.

All this just made our experience terrible. At a restaurant like this you expect good service and consistent standards. Perhaps my table was just unlucky? But for so many wrong things to happen on one night just makes me think that I don't need to put up with even one of those things if I'm paying to go out and have a nice dinner.

Sorry to have such a negative review, I am terribly disappointed myself too.

My favourite Asian restaurant (we usually take away) but I have never had a bad meal here and I have tried plenty!!

Menu favourites: lemon chicken, tamarind prawns, the lamb special. Yum!

No chilli here. Cheap and cheerful. Slow service....you need to call waiters over. Very suburban with children and takeaways. Unlicensed with1 km walk return to bottle shop. Good for uncomplicated tasty Western-styled asian food.

Disappointed with service. We have been to this restaurant 4 times in the last 6 months. Although the food has been fantastic on all occasions, tonight's service was abysmal. 1/10. we weren't show to our table; the entrees came in very staggered fashion, over 10 minutes; and we waited an eternity for our mains. Our goup of 8 could have been plastic cardboard cutouts for all the staff cared about us.

Thumbs up.. After going to Sing's Rosalie all the time, we were very happy to find out when we moved to Coorparoo there was another Sing's up the road for the usual Sunday takeaway :)

Something different from the norm. Some great tastes different from the traditional Thai. Very good!

I love curry puffs. I've always been a fan of curry but with the addition of crunchy pastry. ohhh yeah BOMB. And these were homemade. Double BOMB.

You can't go wrong with any of the Sing's! Their food is delicious (if you know what to order) and service wasn't that bad either. It's just the noisy ambience that disappoint.

Although I wouldn't take my friends to Sing's Asian Kitchen for a tantalising culinary experience, given the number of different dishes that this restaurant has on offer, it could be a dinner option on a lazy Monday night.

Sing's Asian Kitchen Sing's Asian Kitchen is our favourite "Cheap Eats" in Brisbane. It is a Thai inspired Asian restaurant at Rosalie and Coorparoo. Although Sing's offers Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes, we always come here just for the delicious au
Eat Drink And Be Kerry
I've resisted the temptation to tell you about Sing's for quite a while. It's my local fave and seriously busy. I didn't want to share the love and have to wait longer to get a table next time. Bad Kerry! However I can't resist any longer, so here it is.
