We had a great experience at the Paddock Bar right on Gregory Terrace. Nice location under the large umbrellas. We had Paddock Ale and the pulled chicken pizza. Very tasty! Bar staff were attentive and polite. Open plan design with lots of casual seating.
I Make Food Into Nards
+4
Coming back onto the food review scene I forgot to take photos pre-eating, stumbled and made awkward mid-eating photos. So apologies for that.
Juicy burgers without that bullsh*t brioche bun. Am I the only one bucking the trend? Do others hate brioche as much as me? There is no reason to have an overly sweet bun with a juicy burger, unless you have a terrible burger. Then and only then should you try and hide your terrible recipe with every other taste you can.
Pizza I heard was "oh my gawd, it's soo yummy".
Calamari was cooked to perfection, and had an extra pop of spices that we argued about... long story short; I like new and interesting flavours, others don't like change from regular salt and pepper.
Food was divine however it did take awhile for the bar man to stop chatting long enough to take our order and although very clean, plenty of space, music and channels the tables are so low inside it makes eating a little difficult.
Went there to catch up with friends and have a nice coldie. We were there at the same time as the FOMO Music Festival, which spoiled it slightly as we could not really speak over the noise of the Festival. Don't want to let this spoil the review because obviously this was out of their control. Liked the atmosphere. Loved the huge open windows that allowed for easy "people gazing". Beer was cold, service was friendly. What more can you expect?
Bat staff were really friendly, food was good and reasonably priced. Happy hour 4-6pm Mon to Wed was welcomed and the outside tables great place to relax after work..
