Delicious coffee and food. I tend to go for the Moroccan lamb salad with feta and avo. It is to die for. Amazing! And sometimes just a coffee and fresh baklava is perfect.
I’m new to venturing into the city, had lunch at Ben’s Alibi and oh my it was amazing! Moroccan chicken skewer special! Will definitely be returning for more!
I was on Jury duty, called if for a coffee in the morning and it was so lovely. Finished early for the day so decided to go back for a lite lunch. The honey fetta was amazing, just the right size. The staff are so friendly. Next time I am in the city I will make my way back there.

Was here when on a business trip. Seemed like a busy lunch place. Loved the name of the restaurant and the owner is real friendly and funny. Comes to all the tables to chit chat and explain any doubts on the menu items. All the food is presented quite beautifully on traditional Moroccan dishes and the selection of drinks they have here is really good as well. The food taste can improve I think. It wasn't anything extraordinary but the prices are reasonable and you get what you pay for. Might go here just for the atmosphere.
I wasn't expecting huge things from this place – average name, average location, and we were part of the work rush. How wrong I was. The food was absolutely cracking. My chicken burger was up there with the best I've had in the city, while a couple of my colleagues fell into an induced lamb coma. Matching the bites was the service, with main man, Ben, giving us plenty of laughs, and the rest of the wait team kindly looking after a few curveball dietary requirements. Well worth an extended lunch break.
Bens alibi has great flavours and captures the essence of Mediterranean food. Love the Moroccan chicken salad, the lamb burger is great and the specials are always delicious. Been many times for coffee, and never disappointed.
Posing as a standard office cafe in the legal district, it actually has Moroccan food, or at least Moroccan-influenced food like pizzas, rolls, burgers and salads. They're served on attractive Moroccan plates and generally have a lot of great flavour - at least in the sauces that come with things. The salads are particularly tasty and fairly large. The coffee and Moroccan tea is also good. The prices seem a little high but there's no doubt the food's good.
The food here is decent - my favourite is the Moroccan lamb salad - but the service needs drastic improvement. Our table was served warm beer, warm white wine and when we requested water for the table, we received 2 glasses of water (for a table of 8). It's not pleasant having to ask repeatedly for something that should be either a given or offered, let alone something that was specifically requested! Our meals all came out on time though, and the place is reasonably priced. It's usually busy so I suggest making a reservation ahead of time.
Fantastic service, food and prices!. The food was superb; generous in serving size and priced at some serious value for money. We ordered the chicken, honey sandwich and the lasagne. They were both so flavorsome and presented well (the honey in the sandwich was just mindblowingly good. Who knew honey and grilled chicken are so tantalisingly good together?). Not only that, the cafe itself (decor and plates) are nice and the service is really friendly. Can't find a fault at all.
Best salads!. Food is always fantastic. Serving staff consistently pleasant.

Moroccan heaven in brisbane city! I work within walking distance. Happy go here everyday if my pay packet allowed. Chips are amazing. Salad is the best I've ever eaten. Sandwiches, burgers, pies and pizza - all of it is to die for. Good happy hour specials. They really try hard to fit you . Ben and his wife are always on hand to check you are happy with the service and food.
Fantastic food and great service. I had a really nice lunch at Bens Alibi. The lamb burger with chips and salad was the best burger I have ever eaten. Really! The guys were really friendly and made me and my girlfriend feel really welcome. She had a lamb salad with fetta cheese which she loved. Thanks !
What a fantastic place ! The food was really really really fantastic and so tasty with loads of variety. It was packed and we were lucky to get a table . The staff were really lovely and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We will definitely be back again.
Mediterranean Heaven. The staff are genuinely friendly, very attentive and helpful. The food was delivered within minutes of ordering and the prices are outstanding given the quality! We had the dory, fish and salad and mezze plate. Both were well presented, in very large portions and the tastes were just divine - have even returned to the office and forwarded the details onto my colleagues. I would recommend to everyone.
What a great find. At last I have found a restaurant I can regularly frequent in the CBD that consistently serves great food at a decent price.
Sick of mediocrity I was recommended Ben's Alibi by some colleagues who had just taken clients there for lunch.
The atmosphere was buzzing and each time I have gone back the food is just as good as the last.
The owners work there and it really makes a difference- the service has been consistantly friendly and attentive unlike many cbd cafe's/bistro.
Tip Their salads are wonderful and in winter their carrot soup cannot be beaten.

Interesting and delicious. I recently had lunch at bens alibi with a group. We loved the atmosphere and the great morroccan music. My friend had a pizza which was delicious (i had some), someone else had the lamb sandwich and said it was one of those sandwiches you think about later and have to go back to get another one. I had a salad which was superb. It had just the right amount of everything bocconcini, pine nuts,crisp fresh leaves and a lovely dressing, I'm not sure what it was but it was something different and interesting. Yum! We also had coffee which was outstanding and a beautiful fresh chilled mint drink which was really refreshing. The staff were friendly and efficient despite the restaurant being packed. Nothing was too much trouble and the host maintained a friendly banter with us. The waitress suggested we try some sweets with our coffee after lunch. We tried a caramel slice and a chocolate slice and also a piece of delicious baklava. They were all really good. I will definitely be heading back here next time I'm in the cbd!

Amazing Food..Great Service & Prices. We decided to try the new Ben's Alibi and were amazed at how great the food and service were. It is beautifully decorated with Morocan lamps and ornaments and is quite a hidden gem in the city.. We found it really quite cheap for the city and also has loads of organic options. We ordered the Moroccan Lamb Pizza which came well presented with beautiful twisted ends and loaded with lovely meat , rocket and sauces. The Tasting Plate for two was absolutely huge and served on this beautiful Moroccan platter which was absolutely loaded to the brim with different dips, pastries, salads and breads. There was no way we could get through it all and the waitress offered would we like to take what we left home which we thought was really sweet. There is also a large cabinet full of really lovely looking cakes and desserts and french pastries. The coffee is Campos and they have a great Barista who made us wonderful coffees with our homemade baklava. Ben the owner came to our table and is super funny and really really charming and made us fee lvery welcome. We would highly recommend Ben's Alibi. Fantastic food, service and value. A real hidden gem in the city.
Right in the heart of Brisbane CBD is Ben's Alibi, a well-established Moroccan restaurant that offers a wide range of Moroccan and Moroccan-inspired foods, including burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. Located on George Street, this restaurant sits across from the 400 George St. food court, and can't be missed! I've been around the area so many times, and regret that I was hesitant on trying this place. My go to meal at this place...
