Cute spot in New Farm. Small venue but packs a punch. I had a Mexican breakfast option (can’t remember the actual dish title.. Ranchos something I think 😊) of scrambled egg, chorizo, charred corn, tomato chipotle mayo and salsa on 2 tortilla. Very very tasty. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice little cafe, portion size is kind of on the small size, but that's a good thing as the quality is really excellent for such a little place. Waffles benedict was definitely going out on a limb for me, but it pulled together really nicely.
Food tasted awesome here, however only is a very small cafe and not much seating area and you might have to wait for a seat when busy. But besides from that the staff and food was amazing!
We had the Pavlova Waffle and the Loco Breakfast. We went on an early Sunday, and the crowd started coming around 9am. A nice cosy place and would love to visit again.
Cute little cafe with a great dining menu and small treats offered to go with coffee.
I’ve found the coffee to be slightly acidic in nature but pairs well with the food offered.
My partner has the green bowl which was fresh, delicious and presented well. I had the bacon and egg baos, and would happily order again. The bacon was crisp and hot, and the addition of sriracha gave the meal a great kick!
Whilst not a lot of seating inside, there’s a section just out to the side of the cafe offering additional space. Great spot to grab a morning coffee and watch the world go by.
Belated post, but met up with the ever delightful Mandy Bernadette and charismatic MB at Little Loco for a long overdue catch up brunch. Arriving at 10am, it was definitely packed, with customers, both inside and out. Lucky for me, I managed to grab the last empty table. Menus were provided, with an all day breakfast selection, a lunch selection and some drinks. Ordering was done at the counter, as usual in cafes.
A New Farm favourite; can be a long wait for a table but that's only because everyone knows you won't be let down by the food. They change up their menu for the seasons which means there's always new things to try, some of them more daring just to spice up your brunch. Currently a big fan of the poke bowl but missing the chorizo and cauliflower hash!
Great aesthetic, decent food, amazing shakes! Been here a couple of times and is definitely one of the cutest Brisbane cafes. This time we sat in the little front room and I ordered the Caesar salad and an Oreo shake. Caesar salad was great and amazing value for $16. The bacon was hands down the best I’ve had at a cafe, crisper to perfection and packing loads of flavour (Other cafes need to learn a thing or two)! The Oreo shake was incredible and obviously didn’t skimp on the number of Oreos! Stephanie Hamish Rebecca
Beautiful little cafe the food was amazing and fast.....the staff were very attentive, very nice coffee...cosy casual relaxed place, you can sit inside or out
Breakfast was delicious! We dined here as a group of 7. Friendly and prompt service, food came out quickly. Everything everyone ordered they loved. I had the mushroom breakfast. Coffee was okay but not bad.
I love this cafe! The savoury waffles are one of my all time favourite meals! I also love their sweet waffles. Their cappuccinos with chocolate flakes on top is lovely too! One of my favourite brunch spots.
After reading the reviews and the menu, I hunted this place down. I didn't require any deliberation time - I knew what I wanted. Espresso Pannacotta! The consistency was creamy and smooth, with the right amount of wobble. It went perfect the coconut shards, freeze dried raspberries, fresh stawberries, and other muesli accompaniments. The lemongrass and ginger tea paired well too.
My Dining companion had the fruit toast (which I happily sampled) with lemon curd. It came in a generous serve and had a nice variety of dried fruit and nuts. I found that I needed the butter with the curd to counteract the sweetness.
The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed with outdoor seating available.
A group of us had a variety of breakfasts here one Saturday morning. Staff were very friendly! Everyone enjoyed their breakfasts- I didn't love mine but didn't dislike it either. I had the espresso panna cotta which I thought was tasteless- everything else served with the breakfast was delicious though. I would come back again as everyone enjoyed a good breakfast and service was friendly.
First time vsiting New Farm. Have already recommended Little Loco to friends. Salad was so very tasty. Customer service was fantastic. Will be back to try the coffee!
Have visited little loco on a number of occasions. The coffee is always good and the smashed avo is great. Tried the waffles on our last visit and was a bit disappointed with how overly sweet it was, and the honeycomb was a bit chewy.
Lovely setting and great food!! Great that you can reserve a table for more than 5 people too as it gets very busy! Lots of yummy things on the menu. Will be back!
This cafe has been on my hit list for ages & I managed to try it last week. First up the service was great, actually took the time to explain to me about their coffee blend when I asked if the brew was strong. They took great pains to deliver a great flat white & I was very happy with the resulting takeaway. Have to mention the food looked great too & healthy
Couldn't recommend this place highly enough! Went here for brunch on a Saturday and the staff were extremely accommodating with vegan options. They knew which dishes were and weren't vegan down to specific ingredients (eg. gelatine) and offered us substitutes for the ingredients we were taking out at no extra charge. They were extremely helpful, very friendly and no fuss. Plus, the food and coffees came out so quickly we almost thought it was for another table. Our meals were insanely delicious and so flavourful! They were also able to split our bill which was a plus. I'll definitely be back here often due to the delicious food and amazing service! Thank you! ☺️
Nice cafe and brunch at new farm, food is good taste and staff are friendly, and there is pet parking spot , good for people have a pet with them to have a coffee and brunch
Cute little street side cafe. Doesn't have much seating but the decor inside is gorgeous. Love the greenery and bottles on the wall. It has all the essential brunch goodies dressed up a little more loco like pina colata panna cotta, breakfast tacos and blueberry and match waffles. Service was good and friendly. Would come here again.
Love little loco. The coffee and food are both great. In particular, love the avo smash and toasted almond croissant. Staff are very friendly.
Food was sooooo incredibly yummy! We had the waffles benedict, yum! My partner thought the coffee was too small (he's an addict) and the place is tiny, not a lot of space to sit so you may have to wait but it really was yummy!
Little Loco made me Loco from wanting more. Wow! The highlight of the morning were those waffles. I'm not much of a sweet breakfast type of gal, but this blew my mind. I loved it!
I also ordered the green bowl to make myself feel a bit healthier and that too was great! (Even though I ordered extra bacon hehe. Who can have breakfast with no bacon? You have to be nuts!)
And the third dish we got was a typical breakfast meal, was scrumptious as well.
All their foods were so good! I can't comment on their crazy drinks though since I have yet to try it. If you're not sure what I'm taking about, you should check it out on their insta page. Or better yet, go there and get it and try their WAFFLES (that one is compulsory) while you're at it.
I will be back for more!
Thanks Little Loco
Great food! The Mexican Salad was the perfect combination of flavours, treats and health. The mushrooms on toast were, again, the perfect combination of flavours - above the usual cafe standard. Service was friendly. Only issue was that it was quite warm, but then, where isn't in Brisbane heat... Looking forward to making this our local.
My next brunch adventure brought me to Little Loco in New Farm. Arriving roughly around 11, I scored myself a seat inside the very small rustic cafe right near the window. Ever since my trip to New York, I've always had a love for sitting in a cafe right near the window to watch all the different people walk past. I will have to say the streets of new farm aren't as interesting as New York but you get the occasion cute doggies at least.
We went to Little Loco on a busy Sunday morning and were seated quickly. The service was good and the staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there! The Eggs Benedict Waffle was out of this world although there could have been a little bit more Hollandaise sauce. The coffee was amazing as well with shaved chocolate! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu items!
I (The Bunny) headed on my monthly breakfast catch up with a friend and, as it was midweek, ran straight for Little Loco at New Farm. Little Loco is always bustling with activity however the service is impeccable with the staff being friendly and efficient. I ordered the Breakfast Burger ($15) and fell in love! The bacon was crispy, the avocado was generous and the mature cheddar added the perfect bite. I thought this was so reasonable priced and a giant portion of food.
I don't usually order waffle. As they run out of quite a few things and the staff strongly recommended on this 👉🏻blueberry matcha waffle 👈🏻 what I never expected 😱 I like it. 😋It tastes good. I enjoyed the food.
Had a lovely breakfast this morning at Little Loco. The meals were really nice but they didn't all come out together which makes it hard in a group.
Awesome service and amazing food! Such a great little cafe - service is always really friendly and quick. Food is to die for! I highly recommend trying their version of avo on toast - incredible!!
Nice small brunch spot in New Farm. The coffee was a bit slow but the food was tasty and beautifully presented. For some reason I expected my Egyptian eggs to have tomatoes but they were good without them
We stopped for a take away coffee today and enjoyed every sip. Lovely little place. We will be back to try the amazing looking food.........
Cosy cafe with amazing food! Can't go past a great coffee, shake and burger as well as friendly service. Highly recommend that you try this place if you haven't already.
Little Loco, the place where the milkshake topped donut was invading instagram or it may have been anyway.. We decided to give it a try after finishing mass on a Sunday and was hoping it would be not too full so that we could easily get a chair. The first thing I saw on the menu that I really wanted to try and definitely have to, were their Loco Shakes...Little Loco is one of the few on board with the milkshake trend having a sweet milkshake and topping it off with a doughnut and sauce. Although I like my milkshake simple and not overly sweet with my doughnut on the side, I guess we'll give it a try.. Note that this is another delayed post (I know..again? apologies as some of the items on the menu has changed..)
Great little find! Lovely space.
Portions are quite big (for me anyway). Pretty good value and you won't be disappointed.
The coffee I think is from Single Origin Roasters and it was fabulous!
The food was great; it serves the typical brunch type of food . We ordered the burger , waffle and avo on toast. All of them were delicious. And of course , you have to try out their shake. I mean , it's so damn special because there's a freaking donut on it
How lucky are WE to have little loco as our actual loco. Down the road from us in Teneriffe, Little Loco has a large range of breakfast and lunch choices which we all love. Our favourite is their breakfast board and their shakes. GF donuts on your shake, I mean look at it.
Little Loco opened last year taking sending Brisbane into a frenzy with its delicious, healthy and eye catching dishes. New Farm has a sprawl of cafes to choose from but Little Loco is definitely one of our most visited. We often #TBT to when they had one of the best mushrooms on toast ever, although their new menu does boast a heap of great new additions. The mushroom and haloumi burger with tomato, onion jam, rocket and jalapeno mayo is pure brekky bliss!
Coffee, juice, brunch! Absolutely wonderful! Great atmosphere. Great service. What else can I say? Back for round two one day soon?
This place made me a little loco for the food if you know what I mean 😏. If you guys intend to go no doubt you must get the caramel donut milkshake one of the best I've had and the food is just speechless you've got to go to know!
The waffles were a great variation on your regular eggs beni. Eggs were poached to perfection, waffles were crispy and the chipotle added the perfect amount of spice. Staff were friendly, meals were prompt and the coffee was nice!
The breakfast menu at Little Loco is quite inventive. I had bacon waffles, poached eggs and chipotle aioli with avocado, which was good. Menu is a bit on the expensive side, but to be expected in the area. The milkshakes looked great but I resisted the temptation. The iced coffee was much too sweet.
What a lovely little place to go for breakfast! Yummy as peanut butter smoothie and incredible cinnamon scroll - cookies and cream flavour! Warm service and great interior design :)
I'm rating this bad boy a 5/5 purely on their milkshake offerings alone. Many cafes and even bars and takeaway joints are currently trying their hand at capitalizing on this newfound infatuation of the public with classic treats like doughnuts and shakes. I've given a few a try, including the more popular Chester Street, but truly. Little Loco has blown them all away. The shake itself was decadent and rich, without being overly so, and the obligatory doughnut on top was the freshest I have had so far. Try the Nutella version, I'm serious, do it right now.
Served on a wooden plank, the breakfast burger came with streaky bacon, fried egg, smoked tomato relish, mature cheddar & avocado all served on a toasted plant brioche bun. It was clearly the winner over my mushroom halloumi burger. I watched my girlfriend eating her way through the salted caramel waffle ($16.50) and I had some serious food envy, I mean, wouldn’t you? Look at the crisp Belgian waffle with salted caramel, white chocolate cream, hazelnut praline then topped with blueberries & strawberries. It’s a picture perfect dish. I guess that’s what I’ll be having next time.
I feel like this place has been more aesthetically recognised. The staff and atmosphere were very pleasant. They do make the most picturesque dishes, but in terms of taste it's nothing to go out of your way for. The nutella shakes I do admit were something special, but for $10 they were a bit much. My friend paid almost $5 for a protein ball which tasted like something just thrown together. In saying this maybe some of their other items are a bit better, but we were very underwhelmed with our experience.
The sweet potato and pumpkin bruschetta was amazing, the avocado on sourdough was good but a little small for the price. The bounty smoothie was delicious and the Nutella loco shake topped with a gluten free donut was visually stunning and tasted good too. Overall a good experience, however the loco shake took a while to appear.
First time visiting this place and falling for both best shake ever. Love sitting down here all day for lovely breakfast. Nice and simply decor.
Great atmosphere, good interior layout, friendly staff and a quality breakfast.
Food took a little bit to come out but it was a busy Sunday morning, keen to go back again soon.
They’ve recently jumped on board the “freakshake” trend, that is, a super sugary milkshake topped off with a load of chocolate or caramel sauce and a doughnut. Personally, I’d rather have my doughnut served on a side plate, but I guess they are wanting to save on the washing up. I know loads of people love this sort of thing.
The edible inmates @littlelococafe are all a little crazy in their own right. The most feared captive is the Loco Shake. Diagnosed with a multiple flavour personality disorder and purely delicious intentions, this Freak-Shake needs to be kept behind the bar at all times. #littlelococafe #loco #milkshake #thickshake #freakshake #freakshow #saltedcaramel #donut #popcorn #livinglavidaloca #asylum #delicious #thickandthedead
Love little loco! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, food is delicious and fresh AND healthy! Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!
Had a great time at Little Loco this morning with my partner. We ordered the mushrooms, sweet potato and pumpkin bruschetta and two coffees. Both plates where licked clean and we really enjoyed our coffees!
Love Little Loco! This place hasn't been open for long but every time I've been there the staff are always so friendly, the coffee is superb and the food has always been on point! Found my new local!
Love this cafe! Great food and coffee in a really cool spot in Newfarm.
The atmosphere on Saturday/Sunday morning's is lively and the staff are super friendly..busy on weekends so make sure you get in early.
The interior design is fantastic and brings a little taste of Melbourne/Sydney to Brissy! Love it and will keep coming back.
Tried Little Loco after seeing a mouth watering photo of the hotcakes. Was disappointed that they weren't on the menu when I went to try them out. Small menu but nothing really stood out. They use Mork hot chocolate which came out with a kit kat finger which was a nice touch. Pricey juices. I personally wouldn't rush back.
Lovely place, delicious food and friendly people! This basically sums up this place. I have an eye for minimalist interior designs and this place just did it well. Their prices were standard but the food portions were extremely generous, leaving us with food babies at the end. They also have matcha latte which has also been quite the trend so it's definitely a brunch place you should check out!!!
Little Loco Cafe is simply refreshing and modern. They have the usual bread with eggs, salad, porridge, hot cakes.... but with a twist.
I'm a big fan of all things mushrooms so of course I had to order their wild mushroom ragu which came with pecorino, truffled honey and poached eggs. It also came with a fluffy mushroom foam which was quite flavoursome. Was definitely a great dish.
2 other friends went ahead and ordered the breakfast burger and sweet potato/pumpkin bruschetta - both also great.
Little Loco Cafe also has a great range of smoothies, cold press juices and hot drinks.
This place has so much unique offerings, it'll keep getting me to come back til I try everything!
The staff were friendly, the service was quite quick for a weekend brunch spot despite the place being full-house.
Went here this morning for brunch- food and coffee were beautiful and the staff were really nice & friendly. My friend and I both had the breakfast burger and it was delicious! Definitely a great little spot for a quick breaky!
Noice!. Just had their breakfast burger and my partner had the mushrooms. The mushrooms are awesome!
Hello Cornbread, its very nice to meet you!. After a long and very eager wait I finally made it to Little Loco with my little boy after salivating for weeks via Instagram! We knew exactly what we were going to order so it was great to get our order in before the morning weekend crowd. I ordered Avocado on house made cornbread and the Green Brekky Bowl with Poached Eggs for myself and the little fella just loves his pancakes so he ordered the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes . The friendly staff understood and took very seriously my requirement to hold the Pistachio Dukkah as my child has allergies to Pistachio so I was very pleased.
Our order arrived and the presentation I had been accustomed to via Instagram did not disappoint. The Pistachio Dukkah was nowhere is sight so I was instantly relieved. The cornbread was grainy goodness with a delicate crunch and it was a nice change to add the lime to the Avocado instead of the normal lemon that tends to be supplied elsewhere and in my kitchen at home. I loved the "side dish" of my Green Brekky bowl with the greens cooked just right and the gooey egg making a beautifully natural sauce. As I am doing my best to avoid refined sugar the sweet element of pomegranate was a pleasing burst to the palate.
Little fella didn't mess around downing his Hotcakes. "Nice and fluffy Mum", looked that way too. Nice array of fruits and generous Strawberries which he loved. He thought the dusting of icing sugar was pretty fancy too and asked me if it was because it was nearly his Birthday. No mate, but yes I must agree the presentation makes you feel pretty special.
Flavours did not disappoint, loved the bustling atmosphere and clean decor. We will definitely be back.
Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes. Yummy hotcake
Loving Little Loco. I just love this cute little cafe. The Decor is white & clean with lovely green plants on it's white shelves. The food is delicious. Just love the Coconut & Quinoa Pudding & the Bounty Smoothie is to die for. The staff are very friendly & make me feel welcome. Definately my favourite cafe & well worth the ferry trip to get there. I like to go on weekdays as the weekends are very busy. Just goes to show what a great place this is!
A quaint little place that overflows on the weekends! Kitchen is a shoebox but meals were delish. Coffee was great (always love fonzie). Menu has a fresh take on tried and true brekky meals. LL is counter service, staff were friendly and happy to accomodate dietary requirements. Does get loud during peak times but what can you expect for the size and quantity of customers. Will return!
Attracted to try by all the food pics. So....i was attracted by all the pics on instagram.
got a table inside near the kitchen area, is really noisy and we just always got distracted by the loud noises from the brewing machine, the juice grinder and the pan noise from the kitchen.
the dish was beautiful as all the others that i have seen online, the two pieces of hotcakes are just way too much to finish and is just not "wow" amazing,.
Great little cafe with delicious, fresh home cooked food. Loved that they make their own corn bread, with the avocado it is just delicious! Can't wait to be back. Traditional breakfast meals with a fresh twist.
Little Loco is a quirky little cafe that I would highly recommend. The staff are fun and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious and quite cheap for the servings. House made corn bread with avo is a favorite! All of this is topped off with excellent coffee courtesy of local espresso roasters Fonzie Abbott. Definitely worth checking out! Also, love the minimalist design! Well done all around
To break the morning monotony, the SO and I took Bubby out to Little Loco around the corner for our first breakfast together on our own. I’ve seen Little Loco ‘s lemon ricotta pancakes plastered all over Instagram and knew if I didn’t try them, I would never forgive myself. These were every bit as delicious as they look.
Nice place to go! Quality coffee plus a decent breakfast make the day. Taste of the toast is rich but not overwhelming and dessert is refreshing and eyes-opening: you find it harmonious with the meal.
Heard about this place for a long time! The best mushroom menu in Brisbane, must try it if you have a chance. Nice experience with my partner and friends.
I really enjoyed the coffee here; long black, no sugar—they know how to do it right!
Food was good, service was friendly and even though it was quite busy, we weren't waiting for too long and we didn't have any trouble getting a table straight away.
Great weekend breakfast spot.
Food wise, very good, bacon was a little bit too much on the salty side, however overall very yummy. Unfortunately our booking was lost even after a phone call and message days in advance, however it is what it is. Great little spot.
On Little Loco’s all-day menu, you’ll find a range of wholesome, innovative dishes, many of which are either vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, or gluten free.
For those craving something sweet, though not overly, sickly sweet, you cannot go past the decadent Golden Gaytime Waffle.
Another waffle dish we ordered was Little Loco’s take on the classic Eggs Benedict – two poached eggs covered in chipotle hollandaise sitting atop a savoury cheddar and chive infused waffle
So, if you’re seeking flavoursome, affordable dishes delivered with a smile, Little Loco will certainly not disappoint.
Oh my! If you're looking for an AMAZING brunch spot... This is the place!
I ordered the breakfast tacos and was not disappointed!
Coffee was great and the staff were friendly.
5/5
