Got the pistachio and Almond croissants, as well as the mushroom brioche. While the fillings for the croissants were generous, I would have preferred for the the croissant layers to be a tad lighter and more aerated. Nevertheless, they do have good pastries and it's worth a visit.
Never though about a local bakery can be such busy. Dropped in one Saturday morning to explore and was surprised on the queue of customers waiting to place their orders. Staff are all very proficient and it did not take a long time that I became the one who placed order. While I was preparing to order a croissant, my gaze was caught by the hot cross buns sitting among all the treats. I was then being reminded that the Easter is coming so changed the mind to get two of the buns. Although they did serve take away Merlo, I resisted to have one because there would be another queue for it. Therefore, I drove to the Newmarket Shopping Centre to get coffee from another cafe. It think it should be a wise decision.....🙂
Love this bakery! Have tried a ton of bakeries & this by far has the best artisan sourdough & pastries in Brisbane! Come early or you may miss out
If you want to have options to choose from you must get in very early as things run out QUICK! I came to try out the pain au chocolate and they were sold out so opted for the savoury baguette and cinnamon scroll. Both delicious. The baguette came with cheese, onion, olives and capsicum. The cinnamon scroll was nice but I expected the middle to be a bit more gooey and filled with a bit more cinnamon and butter.
Whenever we are around this part of the town, crust and co is a must. It's so popular even in early mornings. The multigrain sourdough is a all time favourite and also the pistachio croissant! Love the fact that they offer mini sizes as well so you can try a range of them without getting too full. The only thing is that their opening hours are quite short and they only accept cash so make sure you are prepared before you visit.
Stunning pastries! I have been wanting to try this place ever since I read about it on a brisbane's best bakery list and it did NOT disappoint. The pistachio and almond croissant was utterly delicious, as was the bacon and feta twist my husband tried. Definitely worth the trip and I'll be back again and again!
Amazing croissantery
I orded an almond croissant and a plain one. The almond croissant was flaky and buttery with a nice crunch from almond flakes. The sweetness was right on the spot, being less sweet than average which I really love. Part of the dough was also custardy, providing a contrast to the flaky and crunchy textures.
The plain croissant was great but lack lustre in comparison to the almond croissant. Nice flake but itself wasn't quite enough to be satisfying my tastebuds.

This is the best french bakery in town! It unfortunately is becoming too popular meaning that if you are not an early bird it could be sold out. This is not a coffee with tables and stuff to sit, it's you coming to buy your morning bread and pastry straight in the warehouse. There is a coffee maching and it's located next to some nice parks in newmarket meaning you can take your breakfast and  set yourself up in the park. The baker is french and has brought his savoir faire here in Australie. It is affordable and all delicious and definitely very french - you won't find dry pastries there!
Really shouldn't write this review as too many people now know about this place and it often sells out. Really good bread and pastry. Often a line up on the weekend mornings.
Great bakery!! True french artisan baker with delicious choice of pastries. Cash only so bring enough!! Pistachio croissant is delicious! Need to try the bread next time.
Best bakery in Brisbane. Bread is superior quality, pastries are to die for, service is impeccable and prices are absolutely affordable. I hope they will open more shops around the city!
Excellent plain and pistachio croissants, nice and fluffy and flaky. The breads are very good, there's a good selection of pastries to choose from that I've yet to try and would definitely be back for them. First time I came to this bakery it was quite difficult to find as it's hidden next to a auto mechanic place. I arrived around 10am and found that most of the good stuff was pretty much sold out. However they were baking another batch of croissants that would be ready in the hour which you could put down as an order for them to put aside for you.
The next time I came through was 6:30am and there was a beautiful array of goodies to choose from. It's very much the early bird gets the worm with Crust & Company, I always go around 7 - 8am to ensure I don't miss out on my favourite items.
Cash only and now open from Thurs - Sun 6am - 12pm. This is more of a takeaway place so don't expect to be dining in.
There are not many better things than a fresh loaf of sourdough with lashings of butter for breakfast on the weekends. And there is no better place than Crust & Co. to pick up a perfect loaf. Crusty and with the right amount of sour, it is worth driving to the hidden store in Newmarket. Located through the side door just off Edmonstone Road, Crust and Company is open to the public Friday-Sunday from 6am-12pm with a range of loaves and sweet and savoury treats.
Love this place! Crust & Co is or local bakery - we always get our bread from here. The sourdoughs are excellent and well priced. For a treat, you can't go past the pistachio croissants!
Hands down the best French bakery in Brisbane. Be prepared for a line up and bring cash - no eft facilities. Sour dough loaves and French baguettes are my picks. The Danishes are also fantastic.
Fabulous!. Bought a few items - sourdough bread, slices and plain croissants - all very delicious! We liked the apple one the best.. ! Will definitely return to try out other flavours, no doubt they will too be divine.
This is the bake house for choquette, no wonder the products are so fantastic! They just need more days open and more serving staff to diminish the line up.
Best chocolate croissants outside Europe!. This boulangerie is a favourite and my only destination for a weekend breakfast. The croissants and breads are to die for, but be prepared to: a) wait in a queue, b) pay with cash only, and c) leave with way more goodies than you planned to!
Best croissants this side of Paris!. I heard about Crust from some locals. And have been avoiding it as I knew I would fall in love. But I finally gave in, visited and wow, the most beautiful croissants this side of Paris. Try the almond/pistachio ones. DIVINE. Go early, be prepared to line up and be prepared to be amazed.
No seating- park nearby. Nice little place with great food- staff weren't sure of all the prices when we went and some people turned away on arrival as there is no seating...but there is a park nearby if you want to make do! Chocolate croissant with coffee was great
Amazing. Chocolate Hazelnut croissant, Baguette & the Mushroom Quiche are all amazingly good. This place is a must try, but be early as they do sell out!!
Amazing. Gotta get there early best bakery in Brisbane
Amazing bread and croissants... And now they have coffee! Yum!
Croissant Heaven. Hazelnut & Chocolate Croissant - heaven!!
The best part? Crust & Co. is definitely an affordable, regular treat with items ranging from $2.50 and up! It has become a favourite for us and we certainly look forward to every chance to visit!
Stop by Crust & Co. in the early morning Friday to Sunday for a delicious breakfast and stock up on beautiful breads and pastries for the rest of the weekend! ;)
