The brekkie wraps were a legend. Coffee was very nice too being creamy, with nice balance of sourness and bitterness. Will come back again! The only downside I would point out is that they serve food with paper plates, which made a bit difficult to chop food into pieces.

What a beautifully designed place! The owner (I guess) was so friendly and cheerful. She explained every menu and promo which they were currently having. Nice coffee, well priced as well. Great!

The entry from Fish Lane is funky, once inside the place, it seems quiet and pretty chilled.

I had the lamb yeeros for lunch today and enjoyed it. I expected a few chips in it as is fairly traditional, but it was in fresh, crunchy/warmed bread.

The coffee had a good coffee flavour, with some caramel notes in the latte I had.

A cute, hidden café in West End – one of the brunching hotspots in Brisbane. It’s tucked away inside a mini residential cottage type area with both indoor and outdoor seating. Their menu has quite a Greek twist, with common elements like haloumi, avocado and souvla meat in many of their meals. Overall, the food is quite cheap, and has strong flavours at a decent and filling portion size.

I had the chicken, avocado and haloumi stack for lunch.  Yum!!! I think they might have ran out of chicken as I had sliced chicken breast and a little bit of thigh- it was super tasty though. So much flavour and it was a huge portion, for $13 it was fantastic.

Loving that they do a food special every day, cant wait to come here again.

Located near the Fish Lane, I visited this small cafe after biking with friends. It was rather empty on weekdays morning. My friend got the cappuccino and I had a bottled green tea. Breakfast food and pastries were limited to basic choices. Good for a quick coffee stop as they have a small cart in front of the cafe.

Wandering around just after arriving here and spotted the coffee stand from across the road. Cool, friendly atmosphere. Seemed like lots of regulars saying hi/bye on the way in and out (a good sign). Top coffee and top chats with a friendly barista.

I went ages and ages ago to Five Sisters Art House Cafe with T., as soon as we finished our night shifts. We drove haphazardly into the Coles in West End and staggered across to this little cafe. I think that might be why all my photos were a little blurry cause I swear they looked fine when I took them.

Really enjoy the atmosphere here. Ambiance was nice, quiet and comfortable. Love to sit outdoor to enjoy the delicious greek brunch. The Staffs was nice and friendly. The Mocha was awesome as well. This is probably one of my best cups of coffee I have ever tried.

The greek food was fantastic. The dip in the middle was so flavoursome and matched beautifully with the octopus and meat covered leaves. The flavours were strong and the serving was plentiful for two people. The atmosphere was beautiful and staff were friendly, food service was efficient

Nice Ambience. Located off Melbourne Street through a lane to a pleasant paved leafy area adjacent to a heritage building. Menu comprises a range of choices muffins, salads with a Greek influence (e.g. baklava) as well as cheesecake/brownies etc for the decadent choices. Good to see porridge on the menu - looked very enticing. However only had time for a coffee. Usually served with a small shortbread, attending around Easter this changed to an Easter egg (nice touch). The coffee was rich and smooth with no unpleasant bitterness indicating good beans and preparation. On another visit ordered a take away tea - well made with real tea leaves with quality tea - worth the small wait.

7.40am Brekkie. Good morning brekkie hunters! After reading reviews of this place, I just had to try it out. Searching the place on gps was unpleasant. Finally found the place after scouting around the area.
We had
1) Skinny flat white / Cappuccino- Coffee was 'ok' not great.
2) maple syrup pancake/ eggs benedict with bacon

I appreciated it was early in the morning, but the wait for the brekkie was too long ( half hr plus!?) to produce pancakes. Our kind waiter offered free coffee for the "wait'. Appreciate it!

The pancake wasn't our 'cup of tea' it was basically drenched in maple syrup. After the first few bites, we just got so sick of it.

However the eggs benedict were yummy n gooey, with fresh salad and crispy bacon. um um um *slurps*. The bread is very tough- by tough i mean i struggled to use the butter knife to cut it into pieces so i fork the whole piece and bit pieces with my teeth.

Overall experience was OK. Guess waiting is part of the monday morning blues.

My favourite place in Brisbane. When I first found this little hideaway cafe I was instantly in love. Cosy, intimate and beautiful food and coffee served by smiling friendly faces. I felt part of the family after meeting Penny and eventually the Five Sisters after which the cafe is named. The Baked Cheesecake is my all-time favourite and I can't go past the Greek Brekky Wrap at anytime of the day! Since the birth of my first son this has continued to be an escape from my troubles and an instant pick me up place to go. Brisbane-nites this is one place you have to try at least once. I'm sure you will love it!

Five Sisters Art House Cafe - South Brisbane. This place is amongst the most unique places in terms of dining expereince, set-up and atmosphere that you could find within the entire town of Brisbane - and that is saying a lot. It very much reminds a lot of people here of Melbourne with its layout and the serious attention to detail with their espresso; helping matters as well is the Greek heritage of the owners. At the lunch-time rush they become really busy with all the businesses decided to get their meals and coffees here - there is a very good reason why that is so. This might well be my most frequented place in the city; I am on a first-name basis (by-the-by, it's different in real life).

Five Sisters is perfect for a casual meet-up. That is what I did before heading to my work (just across the lane-way) one day. I was meeting with someone I had not seen for a few years and the day she thought of simply coincided with where I worked which is were this place is. It's semi-elusiveness came into focus here as the entrance on the main road bypassed here, being only a small laneway yet the lane out the back has it in full view.

It is by design choice that it is how it is, the owner Penny even got doubts towards her for the idea. However, this has paid off and it gives it a sense of privacy and solitutude from a busy inner-city area. All that seems to take is a quiet side street in general.

You will find what is amongst the most amiable and welcoming service that could ever be come across, and none of it feels phoney. I myself am quite lucky as the owner hugs me each time I am there. My friend was deducing that I was a regular due to knowing their names et al.
Upon making an effort to know their names, there are seeming to be more and more people working here which is fantastic. It goes to show how supportive they are and allows the cafe to grow as a whole; now they have catering and an extension within the southern suburb of Tarragindi.

The food here is homely and high quality. There is a Greek influence with a lot of other Mediterranean influences and an Australian-sutied palate. It was still breakfast time so from that menu I ordered, but the real treats are on the lunch menu. Regardless, they are very nice to allow people to order haloumi with their breakfast items (but that is becoming common place around Australia).

My order was the Greek breaky wrap which was bacon, egg and haloumi with tzasiki wrapped in pita bread. This was fantastic. They were really generous with their fillings and the tastes went quite well together without the haloumi overpowering the rest. The tzasiki was fresh and did not taste like the supermarket bought variety. The bacon and the haloumi were both well cooked.

Of couse, I could not have a breakfast AND go here without a having coffee. Double shot cappuccino it was and boy was it fantastic. The strength was very high with it being served very hot and with a generous dusting of chocolate on top. It was served in a mug that was not too top heavy to pick up.

For finishers there was what the waiter serving it said was sort of a rice pudding to share; it was sort of a slice of pudding peppered with raisins. This was pretty good and subtle in flavour. I knew something light and sweet had to be had after the breakfast so this was perfect.

There are a lot of reasons that I keep on coming back to this place, the main one being the friendly service. The family-owned vibe here is intact and none of the daughters seem at all bored or bothered to be working here. Every time I go is a joy and it is a non-negotiable part of my Friday work. Next time they see my face will be really soon.

Well worth a visit. Was travelling from interstate and looking for some brekkie. Forget the hotel buffet, these guys are fantastic. Hidden away and a little hard to find, 5 sisters is a rare gem in Brisbane's repertoire. Recommend the museli and the Greek shortbread that comes with the coffee. Definitely will return. Thanks guys!

I took my family to this little cafe last Friday, I took the recommendation from this site. After a bit of confusion finding the place (the map on this is wrong) we sat down inside to a table that had just been left by other patrons. The waiter proceeded to take our drink order immediately, he didn't however wipe
the table down which had a lot of remnants from the last meals on it. we then ordered our meals, porridge with fruit, cinnamon & honey which came in a large pot (visually beautiful but the portion size was too big, even after askin for an extra small bowl to share with my mum, I still couldn't finish it) my sister had musli with apple and yoghurt (again same pot,too big) my dad had the Greek omelette which was tasty, my brother had bacon, sausage and fried egg (he asked for the eggs to be hard which the were not at all) and my mother had a slice of fruit bread which for $3.50 was the smallest size of toast possible. The long black coffee cups were too small also, all in all not the best but not the worst. A little more attention to detail would be much appreciated.

Diana. Been here a couple of times for b/f first time coffee was not the best the second time was tops (always pays to return for another try!) Loved the b/f although we thought it was never coming, but when it did was worth the wait. I am fussy with my scrambled eggs but these were not of the instant type but real eggs pan fried to perfection (how can restaurants & cafes stuff up scrambled eggs you say? well I assure you they do) We will return

A taste of awesomeness!! Superbi came in for lunch for the first time at five sisters today with my dear friend and we ordered club sandwich and matinated octopus. The foods were sensational and the service was great. I reckon their service is greatest among any other restaurant in brisbane. This place is just listed on my favourite restaurant in brisbane!! Would i come again? Definitely, YES! Thanks girls =)

Brilliant new cafe so warm you feel like you are in melbourne, the staff and the owners are all so friendly and you feel you are part of the family, the food is sensational and the coffee is brilliant, the ambience is so unique, there is nothing in brisbane like five sisters art house cafe,
the best place in brisbane to eat. The food is home made you feel you are in a greek village.
Not sure who is Archiguy or how he could possibly of written such comments but he seems a very confused and rude person who should not write his opinions on any cafe as people dont want to read about your experiece Archiguy.
Highly recommend everyone to Five Sisters Art House Cafe

Brisbane's most unique cafe...Loved It!. The Five Sisters Art House Cafe was a great experience for my partner and I, from the excellent selection of salads ready made, to the wide variety of Greek and western sweets. The coffee I was a little worried about as i don't particularly like Segafredo coffee, But the barista did a great job, the Coffee came out in perfect timing, the temperature was spot on and the Presentation was exquisite. They also give with ever coffee a good sized Authentic Greek Shortbread made on site (which is almost impossible to get these days) taste = Amazing! The seating arrangement really has something for everyone, Inside the heritage building they have Art dislayed on the walls and a large fireplace which adds genuine character and an almost European feeling which looks great for hiding away and getting lost in Book. Outside there is ample seating undercover and in the sun where you can sit and tan or just simply watch the world go by. For anyone who wants to not only have your taste buds pleasured but to also have a little slice of Greece visit the Five Sisters...

Five Sisters Art House Café is hidden nicely near Fish Lane in South Brisbane. I didn’t actually discover this place until last year because you really don’t notice it unless you are strolling on that street and slowly looking at each individual signs on that street. However, when you do take a turn into the alleyway, you are led into a peaceful courtyard area or you can choose to sit inside, where the “Art House” part of the café lies.

Through a tiny passage between heritage-listed buildings, I found a corner table at Five Sisters and ordered their French Toasts with fresh berries and vanilla ice cream drizzled with honey and a latte. The choice of food perhaps wasn’t the best on a cold, chilly winter day but hey, tell me that you don’t get excited at the very thought of perfectly cooked French toasties. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste of my meal. The combination of honey and cinnamon reminded me of that morning when the other travel bunny took me to Plaka with a view of an ancient church for some Greek yoghurt drizzled with honey and walnuts. I loved it.

Tucked away in a gorgeous little heritage-listed building on the quaintly named Fish Lane in South Brisbane, this place feels like old-school West End, even though it's not technically in West End!

My omelette from Five Sisters Art House Cafe was a definite winner. I'd love to go back to try some more of their menu items but until they start doing weekend trading, that just won't be an option for me.
