Located across the road from the Queens St Myers Plaza, the Guzman Y Gomez has a comfortable and stylish eating area. Friendly staff greeted me and aided my meal selection. My meal was to me within 10 minutes and was to order. The meal was excellent crunchy corn chips with spicy sauce and delicious beef. Would recommend.
Surprised that they can still find mostly Latino staff after opening so many branches. Small pleasant sitting area facing the street (not the water). The food was as good as other Guzmans - adding all the sour cream and American-Mexican options may be dumbing it down a bit but the basic spicy burritos and tacos get about as close to real Mexican flavour as you can find in Australia.
Meatballs And Beef Cheeks
+3.5
I really enjoy Guzman y Gomez, but for whatever reason this location doesn't rate as highly in my book. It could be that they've been out of 'slow cooked beef' (what used to be called Beef Guerrero) on multiple occasions, or that they were out of Brown Rice another time. Or, maybe the one at South Bank is just better. Won't hesitate to return though.
Miguel didn't lie; burrito was amazing!
Visiting this store for the second time.
Store was quiet and they even let me charge my phone as it was dead and I had no other option to pay.
Though the gentleman at the counter didn’t know how to make an order that’s understandable as he apologised and told that he had just joined.
Plenty of space, prime location and good food( that’s GYG).
Can always count on GYG for a decent burrito. They run deals for $5 Coronas with food too. In a prime location to have some Mexican grub along the river. I'd recommend their Cali burritos (ones that have fries in them).
