Had to check this place as it has been around for about a year and I haven’t managed to yet. The staff where friendly on the phone. I had a really nice butter chicken and I enjoyed the naan that accompanied it. Definitely worth a try for a great curry!
My partner has brought me here a few times and for a person (me) who is not really into Indian food, this place serves delicious food. The staff have always been so pleasant and nice. The food is always well presented, perfect temperature and very good portion sizes. I've found it to be a little more authentic than some other places that change tastes to suit Australian taste buds. Can definitely recommend this restaurant for dining in or getting take out.
Nice tasty food. Kids enjoyed it too and we will go back again. Service was friendly. Didn't realise it was BYO but will remember for next time.
Went here recently after a friend's recommendation. Pleasant atmosphere and the food was as good an Indian feed as I've had in quite a while. Recommended.
Decided to give this relatively new Indian in Balmoral a try. Feeling decidedly lazy we used the Foodora app we ordered a takeaway to get delivered. Easy to order and able to specify spice levels of the curries.
Really happy the the curries, lamb madras was my favourite, spicy as requested, great flavour and the lamb was great too. Chicken tikka masala was good too. Naan breads were good and loads of rice too.
Will definitely eat here again for takeaway or dine in.
Was shattered after our local curry joint on Oxford Street closed down. Happy to say Massala hut has more than filled that void. Had 5ish different curries from the Masala hut and all have been excellent. Excellent service also. Definitely our favourite for a quick, easy, flavourful dinner
We tend to look around to where the Oxford Street hoi polio don't go as we’re fed up with the treatment from the restaurants, ie charging $40 for a bottle of plonk which cost them $8 and they don’t allow BYO!... and you idiots allow them to do it without complaints?
Discovered Masala Hut by accident and the reviews were excellent.
Turned out the reviews are bang on as the food was terrific ... as was the service... as was the vibe.
We'll be back... but... please redo the menus with larger type as it was hilarious trying to read them with the phone torch.

The chicken was extremely tender - my partner even agreed and she's normally particular with meat.
The prawn korma was REALLY nice. Will definitely be back, very impressed to have something so good, so local.
Dined in without a reservation. Friendly and helpful staff. Went out of their way rearranging tables to make us comfortable so our food could fit amongst our computer bits n bobs for our meeting. Food was sooooo good and tasty. Didn’t have the drink we requested but the service made up for it. Highly recommend. Tasteful decor/furniture and clean.
