Review Delizioso - Brisbane

Rachael Allan
Every single meal at the table was cooked to perfection. Full flavoured, generous servings with quality ingredients. I had the Marinara which was filled with prawns, calamari, fish and mussels that where tender and high quality. Starters and desserts where all amazing too. Service was friendly and the lady had really good recommendations. The setting is very authentic and cosy with Italian decor and moody lighting. The only thing that could have improved was the coffee. Overall a great place to eat before a night out. Would definitely go back!

I ordered Spaghetti Marinara and it was delish!!! The seafood in it was so fresh and the flavour was authentic Italian. We also ordered a pizza and I thought it was nice but nothing to rave about. For desert, do yourself a favour and order the CASSATA della CASA soooo delicious!!! We also ordered the Tiramisu. All home made and soo good! Restaurant is BYO as well

The food was gunienly an Italian authentic plate. The service was great and the whole environment is friendly and would take you into beautifully classic Italian style. Absolutely recommended and will back again.

Best Pastas and Risottos in Brisbane I would say, You feel so welcomed with a very cozy and nice atmosphere which keeps you away from the hustle and bustle of Fortitude valley. Staff are very nice and welcoming and this place is our go to place for Pasta/Risotto. Grazie Mille!

Absolutely delicous. The veal scalopini is to die for. I reckon i could eat 3 of the potato and rosemary pizza breads. The service and staff are just beautiful. Good old fashion service.

The service is really slow, and we wait nearly an hour to get the food. Food is ok, but not worth to wait so long. Also, the eggplant on the pizza was not cook through, still hard. I got a water glass cup which has a lip stick mark.

Went here on Wednesday night - OMG - food was delicious. We all left the table with no room spare. Couldn't fault anything. All 5 of us had something different- all perfect. Desserts just topped it off, especially the Tiramisu. 5 stars, we will be back!! Service was really accommodating and amazing

This place is a regular for us- incredible food, warm and efficient service and the best tiramisu! Traditional Italian dishes made full of flavour, fresh produce and generous serves.
Caitlin Kritzinger
Absolutely terrible service. Staff were extremely unprofessional. Told us 30 minutes AFTER we had ordered they didn’t have calamari which was a big part of 2 of the main dishes. Ended up waiting an hour in total for only 5 meals. Waitress was rude when the issue was address and handled the issue extremely unprofessionally. This was meant to be a special meal for a friend who was greatly disappointed in the end.

I came here for a group event and I was pleasantly surprised at the food. The salad was so good and if the salads are so good expect everything else to be too. The risotto and the pizza is delicious.

We are done this time. Too many ordinary experiences. Tonight they excelled again. 2 minutes from the restaurant, waited an hour for a cold pizza, To get told by the delivery guy he was waiting for 20 mins. Walk on by. Not worth the experience.

I really liked this place, we got a 50% off groupon so thought the value was good, but full price it would be quite expensive.
The pork belly pizza was AMAZING, best thing I have eaten in a long time!
The gnocchi themselves were nice but the sauce was quite thick and tasted mostly of tomato paste, still nice but quite overpowering and we couldn't finish them.
The service people were lovely and very accomodating

this cafe was very busy when i went with my family at 9 on a sunday morning, and we had to wait a little while for a bigger table to open up but the staff were very friendly and accommodating. food took a little while to arrive but again that’s understandable with how busy they were and everything was of a very good quality.

The reason for the low rating is service, shift managers (we've seen 2 during our visit) have no understanding what customer service means. For a place with $25+ pizzas I would expect the service to be quite good. Service 1/5
Our visit was a great example of how the exceptional work of the chefs can be ruined by unqualified staff serving the clients. Food 4/5
Price/Value 2/5 Once again it is not worth paying extra for the service you get... plenty of other much better options in the walking distance.

Expensive and sloooooow. We used a Groupon so was 50% off and still didn’t feel like it was worth it. I know they get business because they’re on Oxford, but they can do better. When we went in there was only 1 other family. 1.5 hrs later, family of 4 was late to soccer.

Gave them another try at dinner (first clients) and 45 min later we were served. Our 5 yr old fell asleep waiting.

Focaccia was nice but some sections had too much salt. Bruschetta was nothing special. 3/5

I ordered the rigatoni di carne pasta and was rather disappointed. The rest of it was fine, but the meatballs were horribly dry and did not go well with the pasta at all. 2.8/5

Tried the carbonara and it was also too far salty. 2.2/5

I actually liked the Manzo pizza a lot: I would recommend it if like sweet-savoury things. 4.5/5

Seems like most of the food just isn't worth the $20+/dish price tag.

Deliziosa has become our favourite lunch spot in Bulimba. They serve truly delicious food and the staff are lovely. I'm already looking forward to my next meal there...

Came in for a late lunch on a scoopon voucher. Shared an entre - the garlic and rosemary foccasia. It was crisp and had a nice subtle flavour. Next came the main. I had the gnocchi with roast pumpkin and burnt butter and sage. Plenty of flavour and the gnocchi was fresh with the right texture. The Sav Blanc went well with the meal.
The staff were very friendly and were happy to accommodate for food allergies.

I guess the first clue was the 10% occupancy at 7-30pm on a fine summer night- lots of passing pedestrians, and busy nearby restaurants. We decided to share a $14.00 Bruschetta to precede the mains, Fantasia ($29.50) for my partner, and a Lasagne alla Marinara ($37.50) for myself. The Bruschetta arrived promply, a mean serving of two small, thin slices of bread supporting the usual tomato, basil, etc. After a further 45 minute wait for the mains, we decided to complain, firstly to a passing waitress, to and then to the manager. The blame varied: a large, demanding family party (six people???, part of the 10% occupancy) vs the good old: "trouble in the kitchen". The mains finally arrived. First impression of my meal: a bowl of thick tomato sauce/soup with a half Moreton Bay Bug floating on the top. Below the surface, the lasagne which, after some sub-surface surgery, seemed to contain a number of very small, mystery, semi-solid, seafood-like objects, visually unidentifiable in the thick coating of sauce, which also hid them from one's taste buds. My partner's main meal was of a similar low standard. The bill, including a couple glasses of Merlot, and definitely no desert, an exhorbitant $105.00. Disgracefull. We will not be back!!

Half-cooked, tasteless pizza - that appears to be just a symptom of a badly run restaurant without soul. If management/owners cared they would have come over and talked to us about our concerns or asked when we paid. Nope: just leave it to the 2nd-day-on-the-job server to carry the load. 1 star because she, at least, was trying.

Delizioso is one of my go-to catch up spots. Whether it's with family or girlfriends, it's a great place for a wide variety of options (including GF) with yummy wine to boot (the Prosecco here is my favourite). Service is always friendly, albeit sometimes a little over the top, and make sure you specify if you want an inside or outside table when making a booking. My favourite dish is the classic Gnocchi with Sage & Pumpkin. Friends also rave about the seafood Risotto 👌🏻

The atmosphere was beautiful. The violinist was a lovely touch. The pasta was the best I have had in years. Service lovely. I can not fault this place. Definitely go for a date!

Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago - nice friendly service and a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the world go by. The GNOCCHI CON ZUCCA E BURRO BRUCIATO was fantastic - gnocchi just like you get in Italy. Oxford Street can be hit and miss but this place didn't fail to deliver.
Foodie Lover
Really good Italian food at good prices. Loved the homemade gnocchi with pumpkin and burnt butter sauce. Some wait staff are attentive and others you need to flag down with big, hard to miss gestures. Overall a solid 4 out of 5.

We wanted a place to eat before our movie at Balmoral cinemas, and I had Delizioso bookmarked, especially since I have been looking for good Italian food around town.
We were seated outside and ordered the duck confit croquettes, a chorizo spinach and broccolini pizza and bolognaise spaghetti with meatballs.
The best dish of the night was the pizza, which was quite good - not Julius pizzeria good - but good nevertheless.
The duck confit croquettes were hot and freshly fried, but lacked that little bit of pizzazz for what is quite a pricey dish.
The pasta was adequate. The sauce was thick and rich, but lacked enough salt to really carry and balance the flavour, which was a pity.
The ladies who served us were very friendly and made it a pleasant night for us and that certainly earns them an extra mark.
Overall, fairly decent Italian food, but for the price not sure whether I would return.

Delizioso provides an extensive Italian menu and drinks list, competitive in Oxford Street. Inside and outside tables available as well as good service from attentive staff. Our group avoided the bread and pizza dishes as they can be filling, so we opted for the pasta - Rigatoni with black olives, bacon & Napoli Sauce, Linguine with smoked salmon, fresh Dill in an alio olio sauce and lasagne with chips and salad. All meals were satisfying with the lasagne a large serving that could not be finished. Ingredients, preparation and presentation are very good and represent the best of Italian cuisine. An extensive wine list and a dedicated cellar with a wide range of Australian and especially Italian varietals suitsall tastes. Our casual lunch on a hot summer's day suited 500ml on tap summer craft beer (Stone and Wood)and totalled $92 for 3, good value and quality. The venue is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and is one of the better choices of several options in this competitive area.

Far below average
2 meals very bland and third meal was bitter
Recommend the owner do some taste testing
Disappointed that we were not asked how were our meals at any stage even when clearing half eaten plates from our table
Sorry won't return
When visiting this restaurant for the first time I could tell right away what experience I was in for when I sighted the wicker chairs and the inch thick menu. How is it possible that a restaurant could keep so much food 'fresh' and on standby for all the different options.
One of the mains that we ordered was the 'special' fish of the day. There was nothing special nor fresh about this dry piece of snapper nor the bed of gluggy risotto it sat on. It's frustrating that restaurants like this rely on the fact that too many people don't know what good Italian food tastes like. This restaurant obviously thinks it can keep existing by offering discount vouchers on over priced average food. Disappointing, given the waiters were very friendly but the food was terrible.

I dined here in a group of 5 on Saturday evening. We arrived at 6.45, at which time the restaurant was about half full. It filled up fairly quickly.

Food service was very good however bar service was slow.

There is an extensive menu. We ordered arancini balls for entree, which came as 8 balls with a dipping sauce (possibly aioli). The arancini balls were pleasant with a nice crunch, but I felt that the cheese centre was indistinguishable from the rest of the contents.

I ordered the Napolitan pizza for my main course. The toppings were very pleasant however the pizza dough towards the centre of the pizza was a little soft and almost soggy. Not sure if that was intended, perhaps it relates to the amount of wet topping, as there was sliced fresh tomato as well as the tomato based sauce.

The atmosphere was fantastic, enhanced by the excellent violinist. We'd go back again, perhaps I'll choose one of the pasta dishes or risotto.
Satiety Society
We went to Delizioso for dinner and had a great night. The staff were friendly and the food was really good. We started with the Arancini balls - not the best I've had but still pretty good. They came with an aoli which seemed like a strange choice but tasted okay. The white Bait was the superior entree. It was just so tasty and all the different flavours complemented each other perfectly.

For main course I had fish of the day which was a crispy-skinned snapper and battered prawns on a bed of risotto. They mentioned a vegetable salad but this turned out to be a few strips of vegetables between the risotto and the fish. It was drizzled with a balsamic glaze. It was all completely delicious and very filling. The staff were friendly and the violinist was very talented and added to the atmosphere.
Food Master
Went here for dinner and found someone playing a violin which immediately gave me a good first impression. For my entree I had arancini balls with aioli. It tasted amazing and I could easily spot the delicious flavours through the meal. Next I ordered meatballs with spaghetti in a bolongese. It had amazingly good flavours with delicious beef and pork meatballs and a brilliant sauce with pasta cooked perfectly 👌🏻 . Love it. Fantastico! Belisimo, Deluzioso!
Rachael Dingle
Absolutely amazing! I don't think I can say anything bad about my expierience.
Could tell the chefs put their heart into the meals.
There was a live violinist, something only you can dream of in a movie. Such a magical time.
Great service by everyone! Will definately be back

Food and service was very good at the Gold Coast location, but I can't say the same for Oxford St. The first time I went to the Oxford St location, it was very good. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. The last two times that I went included food that was luke warm (for the majority of our party), and one time we had extremely poor service. We made a booking, but our table was unavailable when we arrived due to the former party extending their lunch for several hours into evening. We were not offered a table for 5 guests indoors despite there appearing to be availability (maybe because we had children?) but were alternatively given a cramped table for 4 until our larger table became available. Luckily, we waited no longer than 10 minutes or so to be re-seated. While we waited, we received menus from the host but a waiter never came by to take our drinks order. We had two very hungry children who at this point had waited almost a half hour before we were asked to order anything. The only reason our waiter came over was because I asked the host if we would be able to place our order. When the waiter came, he was condescending and rude. We hadn't ordered something using the exact language on the menu (although it was quite clear that we were ordering bread), and we were corrected in a very mocking way numerous times. When our dinners finally came out, they were mediocre at best. All but one main were luke warm to cold. We won't be returning to this establishment any time soon.

On an unseasonably warm Saturday night, we found ourselves visiting interstate family who were staying in Bulimba. With six adults and two kids looking for somewhere to eat, we found ourselves at Delizioso. We had a later seating at 7.30pm and found the restaurant bustling and a little noisy. The added violinist - certainly a lovely touch - also added to the noise level, so we did find it a little difficult to chat with each other. But it quietened down a little later in the evening.

Firstly I have to say the restaurant looks inviting and has a lovely ambience (noise issues aside). The smells coming from the kitchen and the plates going out around us looked inviting. We did find service slighly lacking with some confusion at times, but I will put that down to a busy night and perhaps a few staff were missing. Menu's and water arrived quickly, but it took a little longer than I usually like to get service after that (and you will see from any of my previous reviews that I am not one to be bothered by a bit of a wait, but this was a little too long).

Eventually orders were taken and wine/drinks made it to the table in good time. Entrees and the kids meals were also there in good time. We shared between us all rosemary and garlic pizza bread, mozarella bread, gorgonzola, pear & walnut bruschetta, salt and pepper calamari and duck croquettes. All our entrees were great and I'm not sure whether the duck or the gorgonzola bruschetta won - but both were absolutely delicious.

Mains too a little longer to come out - almost to the point of us asking - but finally arrived to the table. Amongst us there was the gnocchi, vegetarian pizza, parpadelle carbonara, scallopini and I had the beef cheek parpadelle. Again all meals were delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite of my parpadelle - plenty of melt in your mouth beef cheek ragu - it was heavenly. But again the winner of the evening was the scallopini - which hubby had, so that meant I got a few bites of this - it was simply amazing and like nothing I have eaten in a very long time. The flavour hit was incredible and the potato rosti on the bottom was just the icing on the cake - except it was under the "cake". Truly amazing.

After that there was no room for desert for any of us. In all a truly sublime meal and I will more than happily return again. The small issues with service I will put down to a busy night, and it certainly hasn't put me off at all.
Food And Coffee Snob
Went there twice now and had two very different experiences. The first time we went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised. I had an amazing sandwich, staff was pleasant and friendly if not a bit slow. They didn't seem to pay to much attention to wether a table needs service and it felt a bit like they put you out of their mind as soon as you have your meal. And the coffee needs a bit of work, there was a bit of a burned taste to it but not so bad i didn't want to drink mine. This experience made us go back for dinner.
We walked in on a rather busy public holiday and knew we would pay a bit more that day. We were seated in a corner of the restaurant and given our menus. Before we could tell the waiter we would like a drink he had already turned his back to us and moved on to other tables. This was slightly annoying. After we finally grabbed someones attention we ordered a pasta with meatballs (in which we ended up finding a bit of a shell from some sort of seafood, which is quite bad since the meal was meat based and not seafood based) and the four cheeses pizza. My partner had a beer and I ordered white tea. We saw the drinks sitting on the bar for a good 5 minutes with staff repeatedly walking past not seeming to care that we were thirsty. (This happened again when we asked for another beer) When I finally asked someone to fetch them for us I ended up getting black tea, and again before I could say anything the waiter had disappeared. So I ended up walking to the bar where the friendly manager gave me milk with an apology. When our meals came out I could see without even needing to touch my pizza that half of it was not cooked at all, pretty shameful for an Italian restaurant if you ask me. Again there was no waiter to be seen so I had to walk up to the bar again with my cold pizza to complain. The manager apologised and said she would fix it right away. It took a good 10 minutes for my pizza to reemerge from the kitchen, warm and cooked this time, but my partner was already done eating so it was a sad solo session rather than a romantic dinner. I ended up eating half and asking for the rest to go cause there was just no fun left in our night out so I just wanted to go home. We got up and had to wait another 7-10 minutes at the register before anyone could be bothered to finalise the bill with us. Now I don't expect anything for free, but when you stuff up over 4 times at one table you might consider giving a discount or at least not charge the holiday fee because those 100$ are the worst dollars ever spent. I know that I'm a bit bias because Ive been in hospitality for over 17 years but this was definitely one of the worst nights ever.

I would've loved for them to either discount or offer us a drink. I would've also loved for them to ask if we would've liked for them to take both meals back so we could eat together. I would've also loved slightly more attention from the wait staff and I would've definitely loved not seeing my drinks get warm/cold on the bar.
If I were to just rate the second time we went there they would get a 1. But seeming the first time was nice enough I have to give them at least one extra point for that. Would I ever go back? NO!

Ordered two cappuccinos, a caramel latte and a regular latte. Cappuccinos had zero froth. Resembled a flat white with chocolate dots.

Caramel latte was excessively sweet. Must have used half a bottle of caramel syrup.

Atmosphere was average. Service was average. Eggs Benedict was OK.
Jayne Michéle
We both had Eggs Benedict with bacon. It was the scrimpiest piece of bacon but worse that that the food was Luke warm if that. Disappointing. We used a Groupon voucher so should have been good value. It wasn't.
Onj
Excellent friendly staff when I visited, unlike some other reviews. Location is quite good, we went for a nice walk near Bulimba Riverside Park which was nice. We got the lunch scoopon voucher. No hassles. Great bruschetta. However the mains were disappointing. Both the pasta and risotto were very sour and lack good quality. The one time experience overall was just ok because of the positive friendly staff, but the food wasn't good. Probably won't be back again...

Great service. Good food. Great dessert!
Here for breakfast. Pleasent environment with a substantial menu. If you cant find something on the menu then you're to hard to please. Beautiful food, cooked and presented wonderfully. The staff are accommodating without being overbearing, lovely and friendly. This with the calm atmosphere means we will be back without a doubt. Matt & Leanne.

Fabulous! We have dined many times at Delizioso since they opened. The staff are fantastic with our family member's food allergies. This is our go to restaurant for any celebration.
Laura
A very lovely and friendly place, great service! :) Meal was very well presented and filling. They have good scoupon deals, which is also a bonus. Love their eggs very much.

-5/3/16

Maybe is a perfect place for brekky, but for lunch... Is not!! I had a deconstructed steak sandwich, the steak maybe was the right size but everything around made it too small, no sense in that plate. My husband had a pizza and he LOVES pizza. For the first time ever he couldn't finish it! The staff was nice, though!
Jackie Cee
Meal was beautiful. Waitress pleasant and helpful. They were VERY busy, but the food came quickly. Slightly disappointing was my thickshake. Literally milk and some ice cream and not at all thick. Eggs benny was excellent though. Will go back for breakfast again for sure.
Wynnumeater
Not impressed. Been here a few times as we've had vouchers, never again will I even waste my money on a voucher. Ordered 2 eggs benedict and a breakfast pizza. Pizza didn't arrive. Problems in the kitchen apparently. Friendly staff though (hence the 1 rating)

Not worth it at all. The Irish lady with glasses manager is so rude. She's not very nice to customers but even worse treats her staff like crap. Plus there was this guy who was obviously a new worker and was working his but off but she thought he could go faster and when he did she wanted him to pretty much rush the service so that it suits her which is not on. Plus also got stuck into him because he stuffed up a couple orders by mistake but at least he had the decency to apologise to the customers and told them the situation and they understood but her body language said it all.

If that is how you treat your staff and people who are looking for work and are on a trial and just chuck them out simply because they don't want to give proper training and expect you to know it straight away, then she should just quit altogether as it gives the business a bad name. Until she goes or happens to be away, avoid this place! Other than that food was alright but expensive as.
Kate Finlayson
Rude staff. Had a glass of coke spill over me - no apology.

Run frequent Scoopons yet never want to accommodate the people that buy them. Always have a problem.

Food is on and off, have been there and it was horrible, have been there it was good. GOOD not great.
James Dean
Decided not to eat there after getting bad service from the girl on the front desk. Talked to us like we were scum. Go to Brothers instead. So much better.
Ivan
Three for food, two for the service. Came here with scoopon for lunch. The notorious Irish girl was there and rude as always. The waiter serving me was alright though. Food came rather quickly and focaccia was a bit dry and didn't have enough garlic on it. Pasta was overcooked and fell apart and the sauce was a bit bland to my tasting. Was expecting more. Might revisit again to try other dishes and hopefully I will be greeted by a different manager.

We used a voucher which we purchased for a very good price to dine here at a weekday lunchtime. We expected the usual disappointing experience which often comes with this type of promotion but thought that we'd give it a go. However, we were very pleasantly surprised. The entree was great, the main meals were top quality and generous...a revelation. Included was a glass of wine. We both could not fault the service and food. For me to give a 5 out of 5 review is rare but , going on this particular experience I have no hesitation to do so. This venue wants you to tell your friends and to come back...which we will in the future.

Excellent cafe for brekky. They seem always busy especially on the weekend. Value for money, friendly service and efficient, delicious food and nice coffee.

My husband and I decided to order takeaway last night and were pleasantly surprised that we could order on Delizio's website via Eat Now. Ordering was quick and easy and we were sent an SMS with our order number and advised our order would take 20mins to pick up (they also do delivery FYI). That part is more of an Eat Now review but it's definitely worth mentioning that this restaurant offers this service. Picking up was easy too since we already paid online.

Also worth noting, even though we did not dine in the restaurant, we absolutely loved the atmostphere of the restaurant. A modern rustic look with dimmed lighting which is refreshing because sometimes you get the worn red and yellow look in some Italian restaurants which is fine but tends to lean more towards worn than rustic if you get what I'm trying to say.

Now, the food! It was a bit of a hit and a miss BUT I'm not really going to mark them down for this. We ordered the Rigatoni (Rigatoni Al Agnello e Polpette) and the Mushroom Risotto (Risotto Ai Funghi) with the Arancini Balls and Shoestring Fries as sides (both came with Aioli). Nothing much to say about the fries, they were great. The Arancini Balls were also good with sundried capsicum and bits of meat throuhout. I personally don't lean towards sundried capsicum but Im sure someone who does would really love these and the serving comes with 8 of them.

As for the mains, my husband said that the Rigatoni was really good which is not surprising because the description on the menu sounded amazing. But here's their downfall, the risotto; so bland. It tasted like creamed rice. In their defence, I found this happens a lot with restaurant risottos but still, I wish it wasn't so. My husband tasted it as well and he fully agreed. I hate to mention all this because everything else about the experience was good but I have to be honest.

This being said, we definitely want to try them out again to taste their other dishes and maybe even eat in to soak up the atmosphere.

I went here a couple of weeks ago with some friends for a birthday thing. We ordered our food and it took forever (45mins-1hour). We saw other people a couple of tables away from us that arrived after us but got their food before we did. I ordered the margherita pizza and shared it with a friend. it wasn't too bad but it wasn't worth the wait. it may have just been me and my friends who have had this experience but i am willing to try it again. the location is good and the atmosphere was calm and enjoyable.
Britney
Loved it here. Great service and the food was beautiful. Such a cosy feel. I would recommend the lobster risotto. I will definitely be coming back!

Just a fantastic place to dine. Friendly, professional waiters, great food and fast service. This place has never disappointed. So good, such a gem.

As I keep coming back here for breakfast it could very well be my favourite on oxford street. Reasonably priced and good service. Love the decor
Ronnielui2003
This casual Italian dining restaurant locating along the Oxford Street food precinct at Bulimba. Tried the 7 courses degustation. Like the Beef Carpaccio and Seared Scallop but the Tiramisu was let down. That maybe because I had a good one at 1889 Enoteca. However, being a casual 7 days restaurant with heaps of choices on the menu, this restaurant is worthy of exploration.

i went with my friends with scoopon. I understand can't put too much expectation on a restaurant selling on scoopon. The food is average, maybe it was busy Friday lunch, the 2 x waitress looks tired but I can see that they tried their best, but the supervisor was rude. When we ordered juice, there's about 10 cubes of ice, my friend wanted to give the drink for her 3 years old boy, she removed the ice to the plate (with 1 cm depth). When The supervisor cleared the table, she wasn't aware the ice melt and the water was dripping. I tried to hold the water by my hand and told her the water was dripping, she told me "it was the water from your juice". I couldn't believe a supervisor can talk to a customer like that. I understand you maybe under stress but you don't need to talk to your customer like that. Beside, we order juice in a cold rainy day and don't you think you put too much ice??

Great Pet Friendly, Italian Style. We have visited Delizios On Oxford multiple times & have always had good consistent meals & service. Outside dining enables you to bring you pet along (book ahead to ensure pet friendly table available). Staff are happy to provide a bowl of water for your pooch if required.

Most meals can be suited to people with dietry requirements (eg, gluten, dairy free).

We are frequent diners to this restaurant & have always been happy with the meals we have ordered & service provided.

Awful and tasteless food. Very nice service but terrible food. Totally tasteless and very greasy.

We can't wait to come back!. My family and I were super impressed at the friendly service, authenticity of the food and experience, and incredible taste of every single dish we ordered. Between the four of us, we ordered a variety of dishes (pear and Gorgonzola bread starter, beef ragu pasta, sirloin steak, pumpkin pizza, veal and mashed potato, then tiramisu and the dessert tasting platter) and could not fault any aspect within any of them. Everything was cooked to perfection, perfectly seasoned/complimentary, generously portioned, and left us feeling full and satisfied as opposed to sluggish and heavy (telling of quality ingredients).

I had had my eye on Delizioso for a while, given that every time I drive past - no matter the day or time - there are always plenty of people seated. I thought that consistency such as that would not lead me astray, and it didn't. We went on a Tuesday night (last night) and were seated by about 7pm. The ambiance was lovely, and I can't fault any part of the experience. We really had fun and are looking forward to returning!

Awful breakfast. Went a month ago and it was very nice with coupon. Went this morning with another coupon and it was awful. They had changed the breakfast for the same item. My poached eggs were stone cold. The bacon greasy and cold. The toast was skinny and cold. Hash brown was dripping in oil but was thankfully hot. Sausage was ok. Overall yuck.

The other two meals were not eaten. Scrambled eggs and toast cold. Ordered coffees and they were not delivered before we had finished. Walked out and mentioned dissatisfaction to manager. He shrugged.

Won't be going back. This breakfast was because of the coupon. They have cut costs.

Terrible. Real shame.

Ignored. Had first date night (without kids) in 12 months so looking forward to it and some yummy italian food! We were seated at our table, given menus and forgotten. Totally. After waiting 25 minutes to just order some drinks we walked out. Went over the road to Sugo Mi...what a difference! The staff were warm friendly and attentive. Food...amazing.

Great food and service. We recently went as a group of eight with a set menu. The serving sizes were quite large including the GF for one of us. The food was beautiful! It was very busy (Friday night) but the waiters were very good. Enjoyed the wine too. Have been about four times now and have always been pleased with the food and service. Judy. 12/04/15

Tasteless Food!. Went there for dinner on a Saturday night, very busy. Service was poor. Ordered bruschetta for entree, came out and the tomatoes on it were so old that they had turned mushy. Also very tasteless. Then ordered a broccolini and chorizo pizza and a pesto chicken spaghetti dish. Pesto chicken dish was average. Very greasy. Pizza was dreadful, no flavour at all. Broccolini was broccoli, chorizo was full of fat and almost inedible. Couldn't taste the tomato base either and pizza dough was hard and tasteless as well. Poor quality for how expensive it is. Never going back.

Tasteless food!. Very disappointing. Very expensive for quality you get. Ordered bruschetta for entree, tomatoes were old and mushy and very hard to stomach. Then ordered pesto chicken (average) and a chorizo and broccolini pizza. The most tasteless pizza ever. Chorizo was fatty and almost inedible, broccolini was broccoli and there was no seasoning that could be tasted. Had to add salt and pepper to it just to give it some flavor. Service was below average as well. Will never go back.

Nice place to go when you're on Oxford Street. Visiting Brisbane, having returned from being overseas for a few years. A few things have changed!

Dropped in for breakfast on Saturday. Nice outside area allows you to do a little people watching. Bet that's even better at night.

Food nice, coffee good, pricing appeared fair and staff were friendly.

Nothing that made me say WOW, but an enjoyable and relaxed Saturday breakfast session with a friend. I'd recommend it.

Great food and great service. From the moment we arrived for our regular old girls dinner the front of house staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive. The meals were ordered quickly and effortlessly, drinks were on hand just as quick. Our group ordered a variety of meals and all looked fantastic. There was not one disappointed person at our dinner table. We had a fantastic night at the restaurant and we will definitely be back.

Average. Went there with v.... Average.
Went there with vouchers. For $5 you don't really expect too much, but this was pretty bad. The whole idea is that they impress you so you come back later. Coffee was HORRID! Asked for cappuccino's, they bought out Flat Whites. Upon telling them that we had ordered cappuccino's they returned to the kitchen and added some chocolate on top and bought them back. Sad because a cap is supposed to have froth... Was also cold and weak, and also $5.50. Probably won't even pay $5 to go back again let alone go back and pay full price.... Eeeeppp! Service was pretty terrible too!

Breakfast. I came here because I was new to the area and when I drove past this place it was packed. I thought that the place must be great! It has now been 40 minutes and I am beginning to wonder if I should cancel the order. My coffee came out but it was cold and not what I ordered. I was so desperate for food that I drank it because I did not want to wait another 30minutes for coffee. The food is average. Anyone - even my partner could throw together what I am seeing around here. Will NEVER come here again. Yes... I will tell that to my friends what a terrible experience this has been. I wish I read the reviews before selecting this place as this type of service appears to be the norm!

Terrible. Very disappointing. Went for breakfast. Service was extremely slow even though we went before the b'fast rush. Drinks didn't come out until food came out which was 40+minutes.
Food was extremely average. Ordered a Big bfast, which was fine.
The "plain" pancakes with berry compote was terrible. The overwhelming flavour of lemon juice mixed in with the batter and the combination of being fried on the same hot plate as bacon was woeful.
We also ordered a toasted musli. You literally get toasted oats. No coconut, dried fruit, nuts, etc was added to the mixture. After two mouthfuls your jaw is sore from chewing.
Won't be going back.

Lunch on Tuesday. My family of 8 enjoyed an excellent lunch, with ample choice and prompt service.
Coffee also excellent.
We were well looked after by manager Walter and his staff and shall definitely return, with or without a voucher.
Kitty_kat525
Exceptional food (degustation voucher). I purchased a scoupon voucher for 2 people degustation set menu.
The food was amazing, each wine complimenting equally good.

I would highly recommend this menu.

Best Restaurant on Oxford!. Went there today, it was beautiful! Absolutely wonderful service. Was served by an Italian waiter and appreciate his honest recommendation about dishes to get. Got the seafood platter for 2, really wonderful and very filling.. beware its massive! Food timing is a bit slow but if you think about the quantity that is being cooked I think it's a decent time, didn't take too long just keep in mind that you must have time on your hands especially to eat it all! My honest opinion always ask the waiter / waitress of what to get because they know whats best, I remember looking at the table next to me and they didn't look like they had a good time they just got what they thought was good...ALWAYS ASK THE WAITER!! Best restaurant on Oxford. Will be going there again :)

Appalling Service and Average Food. We went here twice, once for brekky, once for lunch. On both occasions we had deal vouchers, which apparently was our mistake, as they don't so much as LOOK at you if you come with a voucher. Why offer it then!?! The food portions for lunch were ridiculously small (again, because of the voucher??), and the service was ice cold. We were definitely not valued customers. The breakfast was okay, however the coffee is awful.

Good food, good service. Went here tonight and was pretty impressed. Lovely waiters, very friendly and helpful. And great that they were Italian and really knew the menu. Menu was also pretty impressive. Lots of choice. Pasta yum and servings very generous.

Only down was that it was extremely hot. Aircon wasn't coping because of the place being fairly open. They need to position some fans around the place. It was uncomfortable.

Would go back though but perhaps not on such a balmy Brisbane evening.
Matt
The customer is always wrong. Had brekky here a while ago and complained to the manager (in a polite way, I might add) about my poached eggs being rock hard. Instead of seeking feedback or apologising he explained to me how I was wrong and most people love hard poached eggs, such a pregnant women. Well as a 23yr old male, I dont classify myself in this category. Wont be returning here again.
Mrs Jack
I don't understand how this place is still in business. The coffee, or should I say 'cup of foam', is just horrific and so overpriced. The staff basically have no idea what's going on and are not even slightly attentive. The meals are not very big at all and the poached eggs taste like pure vinegar. I think it's safe to say we will never be returning!
Airdrie1924
Never agaon. Ate here today having been previous customers, service was very ordinary and has gone downhill - the waiter was doing us a favour by serving us!!!

the garlic bread was completely tasteless

The seafood (mussels) were off which i was told was due to the rain after I pointed it out , We refused any compensation but will not be back

Maybe there's a reason we were the only diners
Cathy
Great Italian food. The first time I came here was with a Scoopon voucher, and I was blown away by both the quality of the food and the exceptional service from staff. It was a quiet day by the looks, so our waitress was very attentive and helpful with her recommendations. We went back a second time, this time paying full price, and the food was still great, although for the price I felt the servings were on the small side. I'm seeing a few reviews here about people who've had bad experiences with the food and staff. Granted I've only been twice, but both times I had a great experience. I have an Italian background, so I don't often go out for Italian food, but this place is my exception!

Great Meal. Had dinner at this lovely little place last night, have had breakfast a couple of times, but dinner was definitely nicer, the staff were lovely and the meals fantastic, would not hesitate to recommend for dinner.
Mhel8733
Smallest serve of big breakfast ever. no butter on toast. coffe is a ripped off for $5.50

Lost it's passion. I have been to Delizioso many times and have had very good to good customer service and food. But what a joke Tuesday lunch was. I would feel to bad to actually tell the story over a review, but all the advise would be to the management is if you want to have trails or new staff on the floor please give them some direction, don't harass them in front of patrons, show them your level of manners and service as it rubs off on to the other staff which end up with a sour face and could not even crack a smile or ask if we enjoyed our lunch which was not pleasant (soggy salad, spelt drinks, bad language from staff and poor service).
Sylvia
Reminds me of Europe, Great taste.. Purchased Scoopon to start with.. felt in love with the food... been back for many time.....

all the pasta are cook to perfection. After travelling back form Europe, has not yet found an Italian restaurant that could achieve our expectation.

I have tried almost every dishes on the menu, have no complain ..... don't know where to start... strongly recommended to give it a go.... I am a super fussy person when it comes to food... this is one of the place that really impressed me and my husband.

Don't bother. We used 3 coupons for breakfast. 2 choices fair enough, I got ham instead of the salmon I ordered. Our eggs were cold and rubbery, the benedict sauce was the worst I have ever tasted and my coffee which was awful cost $5.50 as it was not included in the coupon.
My daughter had purchased a lunch voucher previously and when she rang to book was told they were fully booked. She drove past at 1.00pm and the resturant was nearly empty. Appalling

Group Birthday Dinner. We had our daughter's 21st birthday dinner at Delizioso on Oxford last night. I would like to thank Nick, Walter and our waiter Lachlan for the great service, food and overall 'experience'. The meal portions were large, the variety in the menu was wonderful and the service was very personal. We had a little bit of a wait on the main meal but given the entrée servings were so huge, it wasn't a problem. Given that there were 22 meals to come to the table at once they did an awesome job. We will be back again. Thanks Nick and staff for a great night.
Sophia
Bad attitude towards customers with vouchers. We bought a voucher and were told we had 2 choices to choose from off the whole menu. When asking if there were any other options available the waitress replied rudely saying that it was our responsibility to read the instructions on scoop on carefully. When ordering our food the waiter got impatient and said "ill give you more time, I have other things to do" and walked off. The portions for "big breakfast" were tiny for something that was priced at $21 in the menu. Wont be returning here for sure due to the unfriendly service. :(

The very best Italian food. My wife and I love Italian food, but Delizioso is by far the best we have eaten. The service is outstanding the staff are very friendly. And the prices are very reasonable
Kmortime
Pleasantly surprised. We dined here with a pair of 8 year olds and left with them asking when we can go again. The kids meals were varied and delicious - according to them - and were served with our entree. Our meals arrived promptly and were well presented and tasted delicious. Our waiters were attentive and helpful. All in all we were very happy with our first experience and will return again - soon!

Absolutely brilliant!. Been there countless time and each time is absolutely brilliant! Beautiful decor & presentation, big serving, fast & friendly service!

Great food, great service!. I love this place! Everytime we come we get great service and wonderful meals. I especially recommend the Risotto! The place has great glutenfree options and the staff will do their best to take care of your needs.

Came here for dinner and the pasta was absolutely delicious and the chocolate brownie to die for. The service was also very friendly and efficient. A great spot to eat out, although a bit more on the pricey side

Had deal for "big breakfast" which was smallest "big breakfast" encountered!
Jio K
Terrible. Do not get the voucher. Should be reported to fair trading. You are told to only pick from two items off the menu and the so called big breakfast is half the size of a typical dish. They are basically crooks. Then they recoup more with tasteless but expensive coffees and smoothies.
Jess
Don't waste your money. Even with a voucher, terrible value. Went twice, 'toast' rock hard, furry bits of material on eggs (inedible), hollendaise was basically butter and the staff couldn't understand a thing we said despite repeating everything 3 times. Pay $5 for a coffee, which too was terrible. Won't ever go back.

Very disappointing but typical of Oxford st. Started with waiting at least 20min for a drink then got flat Moët. Slow service then disappointing meal . My beef cheek was so so hidden that all I could taste was carrot. My husband got the pork belly and Gorgonzola which looked like it had been cooked hours earlier and reheated and the only gorgonzola was something in the mashed potato,. I bravely decided on desert and chose the rhubarb panne cotta - the rhubarb was so sickly sweet I couldn't taste the panne cotta so scraped it off to eat a very average panne cotta. The selection of wine was dismal and after forking out $180 I wish we had gone to James street. We live locally but as usual won't be eating in Oxford street again!
Jenno73
Voucher ripoff. Give this place a miss if you have a voucher. We went with 2 vouchers for any breakfast item and received only half of what people paying full price received. The service was good and the food was okay, but we won't be going back.
BP
We absolutely loved Delzioso, from entrees to main each dish was perfection . The service was amazing , food delivered extremely fast. We will be back 10 out of 10.
Meg
Coffee was nice. That's about it. Waited 1hr for service- had to ask repeatedly for both our coffees and meals as they were forgotten. Staff had trouble with English. Food was dried out from being under a hot lamp. Horrible dried out single mushroom on my plate. 2 coffees were nearly $12. So disappointed because this placed used to be ok for breakfast

Went to Delizioso on Oxford for the first time the other evening. Despite being only half full I thought it had a really warm atmosphere. The Italian menu was authentic and interesting without being overly complicated and not expensive at all. The food was very enjoyable and the portions size quite big. The staff were lovely and very welcoming....

All in all had a very enjoyable time at Delizioso and will definitely go again in the near future!!

Very poor and expensive Easter Monday Fare!. No Arancini balls for entrée available to our table of 4 but after placing our order they miraculously appeared at 3 other diners tables and then on our antipasto platter shared entrée. No scallops. We asked for main of fresh slipper lobster tails for 3 which they could only provide for 2 and which were in actual fact Moreton Bay Bug tails. They suggested fresh fish of the day, which when served as a small flat fillet, yellowed, rubbery piece of dried out fish. Sloppy presentation and lots of bad old food left on plates untouched. A very disappointing dining experience. I will neither return nor recommend.

Food is passable a lot like coffee club food. Why why why do chefs put that balsamic glaze crap all over food it's so 1990! Ravioli was dry not enough sauce bruschetta was average won't be going back.

Rock hard bread, tiniest latte. Got the $5 breakfast scoopon and used it on the last day.
We waited 15 minutes for a table and the lady at the front was not very friendly.
I've ordered the big breakfast and my sister ordered the egg benedict.
The big breakfast was served on a small plate which I can't complaint for $5 but definitely wouldn't pay $18 for it.
The bread was rock hard! I've tried to soak it with some sauce and still couldn't cut it with a steak knife.
The poach eggs turned out to be semi boiled eggs. It wasn't runny inside at all.
My sister's egg benedict was drowning in sauce and her latte was the smallest latte I've ever seen! For $4.50, I would expect it to be a decent size cup.
Apart from that, the waitress was very nice and friendly.
I do understand that they were super busy and maybe that's the cause of the low quality of food, but I don't think I will go back.
Lu
We visited with a scoopon and were very pleased with our dishes and the customer service. the waiter was very friendly and helpful, however he recommended to us the aranchini balls which unfortunately weren't too our liking (way too large and dry inside) The mains were very tasty, however the portion sizes were quite small, so we were glad we visited with a voucher. Although we felt very welcomed, we most likely won't go back again to pay full price for those portion sizes.
Junkithere
Expensive. We went on a scoopon voucher. The original price of the linguini pasta with seafood is $28.5 as advertised in the menu. For this price, the portion is extremely small - an entre size which would usually cost approx $15. (all 6 of us had entre sized mains). such a rip off. But we were thankful we went on a voucher, otherwise we would feel our pockets hurting too much. the food was quite tasty, nevertheless. Service is quite a hit and miss but the waiter did his best to serve us without keeping us waiting too long. will never go back there again paying full price mains for entre sized meals.
Nettabella14
Bad customer service. Do not eat here if the restaurant is busy. We came on a Sunday morning and yes the restaurant was busy but it took about 10 mins before we were seated at a table, which we had to ask to have cleaned up. It took about 15-20mins for the coffee to be delivered once ordered. When we asked for water with the coffees it didn’t come and had to ask another 2 times. Then the waiter (youngish guy with beard and glasses) was very blunt and just plain rude, never smiled, looked like he hated being there, anything we asked seemed like a hassle or a big deal. It was like other waiters didn’t want to make eye contact incase we asked them for something. In saying that I have also been here on a Saturday morning when only about 5 tables were occupied and the service was pretty good! Food here are great portion sizes for breakfast (haven’t been for lunch or dinner yet). I think I will give them another go but never if they are too busy.
What happened to good customer service – this place definitely lacks it when busy.
Lita Fabbri
Been wanting to go only because I see people there all the time. Well that was a mistake, the food had no flavour and the staff don't even know their menu. Five times she had to go to the kitchen to get the information on how it was done,as for the people being there all the time staff say they are on scopon
MattyA
Amazing Food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Some very authentic italian waiters which adds to the experience. Pasta cooked to perfection. Pizza light and very tasty. This place ticks all the boxes. Will definitely return.
