This is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Brisbane so far.. I like the traditional style and the authentic food here.
Amazing Food, I recommend trying the grilled salmon in lemon grass chilli sauce. It went great with some steamed rice and the Salmon was cooked to perfection.
The special steak meal was awesome. So tasty and heaps of variety on one plate.
Good food and good staff. Decent amount of food.

It was within walking distance from Newstead so it’s convenient and well kept. Prices seemed a bit expensive for what it was ($22AUD for the vermicelli plate) but i think I’m getting used to the fact that the quality of food is worth the price. I wasn’t a huge fan of the charbroiled meatballs, and i think their style of fish sauce is a bit sweeter than I like, but the food in general was flavorful, juicy, and delicious. I was particularly a fan of their fried egg rolls and charbroiled pork pieces. The herbs and lettuce were also fresh, clean, and crisp. For one person it was the perfect portion size...except for the sauce...there was a lot of sauce for what’s on the plate so I’m assuming previous patrons have preferred extra sauce? I don’t believe vermicelli should be swimming in sauce because then you lose the flavor of all the meats and herbs. Sauces should compliment, not overpower. Anyway, my friend ordered a beef stirfry with rice and he loved it. Even complimented the quality of rice! Haha
We came for a weekend lunch and it was quite busy. We chose pork spring rolls, special beef pho, and pork belly served with salad, noodles and Vietnamese herbs. The spring rolls were excellent - deliciously crispy and full of flavour. We really enjoyed both our main dishes too. Classical Vietnamese flavours, fresh and extremely tasty. I liked all the extras with the pho that you could add in yourself. It was a touch slow on service and not the most atmospheric restaurant however the food was great and excellent value being on the Entertainment Card. Would definitely return.
I've been here multiple times and absolutely love this place. Food is very generous servings - the atmosphere is casual but friendly. If anyone asks where to get a good asian feed I will always recommend

Went here with the partner for a late weekend lunch.
We ordered an Italian Soda - cherry-flavoured with whipped cream on top (because we can), which was refreshing and fun.
For meals, we ordered a small-sized Combination Beef Pho (silky noodles and a good portion of meats, tripe, beef balls and tendon, however the broth was a little too salty and oily?). The pho also came out with the usual accompaniments of fresh Vietnamese basil, beansprouts, chilli and wedge of lemon. As well as a small basket of sauces.
We also ordered the Vermicelli Salad with Grilled Beef (fresh, textural and perfectly cooked beef).
Casual ambience. Service was very friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a good, popular Vietnamese restaurant for dine-in in the Valley.
Went here for lunch the service was great . Staff friendly and polite. We ordered 4 mains and a VIet soup . The mains came out before the soup . All in all the food was fresh and tasty, The Salt and Chilli chicken thigh was really good it came with coconut rice and a side salad . We had a noodle dish and a rice dish which were pretty average. Drinks ordered were two Vietnamese beers and a wine average price . Would I go back yes probably.
Brilliant fresh flavoured Vietnamese food. Dine in is even better than delivery. The wine list is okay and the price remarkable for what you get. Even the decor surroundings and service will please. Give it a try.

The food was absolutely excellent!! Ambience and decor are great, and service was fabulous. We went there for a birthday and they brought out a free deep fried ice cream! Only drawback is that the food took a long time to arrive, but that was overshadowed by the incredible flavours when it did! We got the sweet and sour duck, chicken laksa, Vietnamese seafood pancake, special fried rice and salt and pepper calamari for entree. Absolutely can not recommend enough!
The food at Vietnam House is absolutely delicious - I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes on the menu. I particularly love the san choy bow and the rice paper rolls though.
Weirdly though, whenever I have ordered Vietnam House on UberEats, it has never been a good experience. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the food having traveled but it is never anywhere near as good as when you dine in.
My recommendation is to dine in! You won't be disappointed by the atmos here either. The decor is lovely, the staff are friendly and there's always a good vibe in the air.
Pho is good and offers option for different size. Rice, chicken and vegetables stir fry is worth trying too. The place is a bit dim and lacks buzz though.
This place exceeded my expectations, great friendly and quick service, ordered rare steak and definitely didn't disappoint, the mash potato had a amazing garlic flavour through it and it looks like not many veggies but I had already eaten one peice of broccoli and found a lot more veggies under the steak. Great dinner.
We came to this restaurant with a great Groupon deal and didn't expect much but it was an amazing night. Lovely meal and friendly service. We will definitely come back.

You get crashed tackled by a 5" tall waitress, for your BYO beer, only to be pointed to a sign that says "BYO wine bottle only". After you regain consciousness you enter a very clean and modern restaurant, much better than the typical plastic table cloth and obligatory soft drink fridge infront of the counter. Foods were all great, especially if you are a glu-tard. But be warned you will be blind sided by the cashier demanding '1 bill per table'.... There was a sign for that as well.
Great traditional food. If you have been to Vietnam before they have some local meals that you don't get any where else in Brisbane Vietnamese dill fish

A big group of us visited last sat night. Nice restaurant. Plenty of space for big groups. Staff were nice and friendly. I love my pho. It's all i ate when i holiday in Vietnam. at Vietnam house they call it rice noodle soup. I got the rare beef, tripe and pork. It was fairly average. the meat was good. The flavor of broth could be better. I had mixed reactions from others at my table. Some loved what they ordered. One of my mates noticed that there were raw bits in her fish dish. She was not impressed. The rice paper spring rolls i shared with my partner as an entree were very delicious!! Byo wine only. They also have a bar
Great soup, it really has improved from last time I was here a few years ago. I really recommend the laksa, chicken pho and the crispy skin chicken soup. Great service and the new fit out really gives a nice vibe. I recommend this place for a quick night pho.
Delicious, delicious, and delicious. We had a gorgeous Thursday night dinner with our young children and were so delighted by the service, food and atmosphere! We will definitely be back. This is run by some really cheerful, and highly motivated staff. Stoked to find it. :)
Always loved their grilled pork vermicelli salad! So delish! I come here just for that dish! On a busy night it gets really loud in the restaurant so it can get quite unpleasant because of the noise. Next time we'll go earlier in the week.
My wife and I decided to stop in here for a Sunday lunch, we didn't expect much after reading the reviews but what we received was exceptional. The staff where happy to serve us and the food was delicious. By far the nicest tasting spring rolls I've tried and our mains consisted of combination noodles and the combination pancake which we could not finish but took it home so I can enjoy the leftovers for dinner.
Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

Vietnam house is a good restaurant. It has a modern decor and is very clean. The service was good. The restaurant has 2 menus to pick from however I would recommend sticking to the vietnamese menu and if you prefer steaks head to a steak house or bbq restaurant.
The staff were a little run of their feet with more patrons showing up for dinner than they expected but they smiled through it and provided excellent customer service. Our lovely waitress was very apologetic about the wait times for food and for running out of the requested wine. She was excellent!
The crispy squid was flavourful, tender and had just the right amount of chilli. The rice paper rolls were delicate and light, balanced well with the salty sweet of the dipping sauce. My dinning companions raved about the pho and claimed the fried noodles, although a little salty, was full of flavour and quite hearty.
I have been here a few times even before the renovation and expansion. In general I find the food fresh and like the variety on the menu with both grill and asian. The Vietnamese food is not as strongly flavoured as I have experienced overseas but that may suit the local market. The decor is modern and comfortable. The service though friendly, is not good, the waiting staff are different every time and so is the experience.
I bring my family here, and would recommend it for a casual function.
Good food,amazing service. Visited the restaurant last Friday with the voucher and it was fantastic. The food was so amazing and tastie. Staff are very friendly and attentive. We sat next to a cranky couple who tried to give everyone a hard time. I’ve worked in hospitality for so long and I understand that some people we just can’t please. However,the staff handled it very well. I’m sure the business will be very succesful.

Not only was the service prompt and friendly, but the food was presented in among the best ways we've seen. All our dishes were tasty and the atmosphere was great. If you're looking for an enjoyable Asian restaurant I couldn't recommend this restaurant more highly.
Amazing!. We went there for the Scoopon deal and everything was so amazing (from food to service). For $17.5 per head you got entrée,main,dessert, a glass of wine and friendly service. I guess if you look at Scoopon as an opportunity to try a new restaurant then you would be happier. If you simply want to take advantages of the business over Scoopon Deal .... Of course you will complain!
Diana. We were pleasantly surprised with the food & service here especially as we had a Scoopon deal. The serves were generous & they had a wide selection from which to choose. I opted for the pumpkin dish which was a standout for me & it came topped with those delicious crispy sweet potato chips. Also was offered a bowl of fresh chillies which just gave the dish an edge . Entrees were good too, although simple spring rolls & paper rolls all done well
Amazing service!. Went there due to great value scoupon purchase. The actual deal was amazing value for money but more importantly the food was sensational and the staff were incredibly friendly. We will be back!
Ask for the fav dishes....you won't be let down. Ok so the menu is a bit big! When in doubt ask the locals....ie staff. Have been twice & both times the staff rec'od different dishes but they were all great. First time we asked for a reco on a vietnamese dish and the second time the most popular. I have the feeling there are many gem's on this menu to try as in stay away from the standards & go 'local'.
Great soup. I love this place. I always used to get my chicken noodle soup at other valley Vietnamese places but decided to try this one on a whim. Oh my god. So much better. So fresh, so fast, good, so MASSIVE, so cheap. If chicken noodle soup is what you're after, this is where you should go.
Laksa for lunch. Excellent service, great atmosphere. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken laksa, very generous serve and it was the medium. I've been once before and had a large beef brisket soup which was also excellent. It came in a bath tub bowl, left me very very satisfied. I can also recommend the spring rolls; crisp, tasty and surprisingly light.

Such a great restaurant for the valley! Went with a group of friends, it's BYO, good prices, food was lovely, staff were friendly, the atmosphere is sick! We all shared a few dishes - stand outs were the Vietnamese pancake and calamari. Will definetly be back again soon.
Went here with some friends and loved it. Easy location to get to and parking close by. Modern decor which you don't often find in Vietnamese resturant. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would recommend the tradional spring rolls as an entree. Also had red curry salmon which was really nice with a good amount of spice. Will definately go back.

Food. Went there for dinner on an evening that wasn't busy. No problems with noise. The decor is bright and modern, and cosy rather than stark.
Had the special rump steak and the crispy skin pork belly. The steak was very tender (asked for it medium rare), and the accompanying pate added a different flavour to the dish compared to the standard steakhouse meal. It would have been nice to have had more pate with the steak. The baguette was crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. The crispy skin pork belly was, as promised, crispy-skinned. Had to figure out how to put the components of the dish together.. If you dip the vermicelli noodles in the fish sauce, they soak up enough of it to add flavour when you have a clump of noodles with a slice of the pork belly.
The waitstaff were cheerful and friendly.

Highly recommend. It was understaffed on the night I came but everything went well. The service was acceptable considering how busy the restaurant was. The main point is that the food was amazing. We just came back from Vietnam and we were looking for a place that sell proper Vietnamese food. Vietnam House is definitely the place. Vietnam House doesn’t only offer Chinese stir-fried dishes but also a wide range of Southern Vietnamese food and salads. We enjoyed our experience. Highly Recommend!
Love the Vietnamese French menu. My opinion about Vietnamese food has changed forever now. Unlike other Vietnamese restaurant that only has the soup,noodles and stir fry stuff. We found Steak, Pate and Bread are so yummy there (I heard they said they were 100 years colonel by French). My partner ordered “Cha ca la vong” and it was amazing. The waiter even told us the story how the food was invented. We had a very good night at the restaurant even though it was too busy and they were heavily understaffed due to public holiday.anyway, the service was acceptable.
Got takeaway from EatClub which was decent value (full price would have been steep). Had the Crispy Skin Chicken Tapioca Noodle Soup and Rare Beef Pho. Broth was flavoursome and chicken was tender with overall generous portions. Only little downside of experience was the extended wait (6:19pm was the advised pick up time , got pushed back to 6:38pm and waited till 6:52pm before finally getting our order). Would be happy to return again.
The food was quite good! The Pho was $16, and the broth was definitely a thicker, richer and heavy broth compared to the ones that I usually have - as they are usually light. The Famous Bun Cha Hà Nội was $25; was not bad but didn’t feel like it was worth it. Would go for the pho if I come back here again! Ambiance is okay, a lot of seatings. No split bills - one bill per table.

An makes a killer mojito and puts on a good show making it. Depending on how much alcohol you've had before arriving, the mojito can taste like lemonade but trust me, there is alcohol in it.
If you are new to this place and are confused by the full colour menu, try the vegetarian spring rolls as a starter. They are crispy, hot and tasty and you wouldn't know there is no meat. The crispy grilled chicken main makes a fine starter when shared between two. Satay sauce with moist grilled chicken goes superb with the sweet vietnemese salad dressing. If An is chatty, comment on his physique and ask him to flex his biceps, is sure to bring a smile. The Sizzling dishes are iconic for a main with tender thin slices of beef matched nicely to a special fried rice. The chilli in this dish is perfectly adequate for the sweetness. The service is excellent despite the constant door traffic of uber eats pickups. Save room for dessert being the choice of black sticky rice or deep fried ice cream.The black sticky rice is an-believable and finishes the garlic onion vibe with flavours of not so sweet warm coconut black rice and a selection of oriental fruits from downtown Hanoi. Magjc company is of course the essential ingredient in a superb night. Set the stage and An and the team will take care of the rest 😋

Our group really enjoyed our Thursday lunch at Vietnamese House! My chicken curry was delicious! However much smalĺer than other dishes! The spring roll was crunchy & the dim sum was very tasty! THE CRISPY CHICKEN WAS BEAUTIFUL TOO! I highly recommend the $13.00 lunch! Great fast service as well! Well a year later my group went again. My beef satay was awesome. My friend was allergic to onions 🌰 & he ordered another meal & I enjoyed his basil & chilli beef.
We purchased the Groupon voucher for 4 people which was a banquet. Really tasty food. Well presented. Very enjoyable. Highly recommend. Good value at $98. Food came out quick and was evenly spaced. Just enough food to be satisfied.
