Staff were lovely, but food was so average. The chicken and sweet corn soup literally tasted like water so bland. $20 for a bit of dry honey chicken. I've had nicer Asian food in a shopping centre food court for half the price. There is no music, no atmosphere. The mozzies are horrendous being right on the river.

Absolutely awful service and the food wasn't great either. Not only waited over an hour for my food, when it arrived there was a whole meal missing. We rang up to explain the situation and said we would be happy for them to make it now and get it sent to asap to be responded with the rudest person saying that we were lying! For me this is a first, I was gobsmacked with how she handled the situation as we were more that happy to wait even though we had waited over an hour already - and also spending nearly a 100 dollars.
Will never order from this place again!! Poor food and the worst customer service!!!

Not sure if it's me or the cook. Ordered vegetable fried rice and got steam rice with couple of carrot slices and cabbage. Absolutely no other spices or sauce. Plain white rice. When I asked for soy or chilli sauce, they said they would charge additional $1 🤣😂... Can't believe it? Please try.

Friendly service. An excellent selection of items - mostly Chinese but there were a few Thai items on the menu. Not greasy. The good came out very fast. Reasonable prices. A good option if you're staying on Kangaroo Point and you want Asian food.

Food quality akin to that of a Chinese restaurant in a shopping centre foodcourt. Not worth the $30 spent, the chicken and cashew dish was tasteless.
To make the experience worse, I ordered delivered through Menulog. The order status stated that the food was ready to be picked up, however it was not delivered until 40 minutes later. I rang the restaurant to see if they could provide a status and was advised "not to order through Menulog". I am not sure why they would continue to offer this to customers knowing it is a problematic service. Overall would not recommend.

Staff friendly, Rice cracker cooked fresh, Cold water as soon as we sat down, Sweet and Sour Pork was great along with the Black Bean Beef, Seafood combination Hotpot, Green Curry Beef, all delicious . I never seen or heard any complaints from the tables full of customers. The drinks were cold when they were supposed to be, and hot as they should be. My Five Stars were earned by staff and owners David and Ella.

Will never order from Asian Spice again. An entire meal was missing from my order, I called to speak to them and was accused of lying, was told repeatedly that she had personally packed the item and the chefs had cooked it. It was very unprofessional & the food we actually received was not worth the hour wait.

Always has friendly service. Food is great, not overpriced. We've been coming here for a couple months now and have never had an issue with our order. The food gets brought out quick, and it's a nice little restaurant. Can't fault it

We are invited here for dinner on a cold Sunday night. Sipping on Lemon, Lime and Bitters we peruse the Menu and place our dinner order. I hear the cheerful Chefs stirring/frying on their woks and the constant bursts of pressurised gas. I have a good feeling this dinner will end well.

*Fried Quail is nicely seasoned and fried just right. These Quail are tender and Mum gives her stamp of approval. Rating: 4

*Thai King Prawns are stir fried with Garlic, Chilli, Basil and vegetables with a generous serve of 10 Medium (King) Prawns. We enjoy this tasty dish. Rating: 4.5

*Scallops in Cream Sauce stir fried with garlic, vegetables and cream is served on a hotplate. These imported Scallops are quite bland. The vegetables and cream makes this dish palatable. Rating: 3.5

*Pork Ribs in Peking Sauce is the table favourite. The meat is actually pieces of Pork Fillet, battered then fried and stirred through with a ladle of Peking Sauce. A generous serve, this dish is excellent! Rating: 5

The Chefs should be commended and the experienced wait staff make our dinner an enjoyable experience. Thank you Asian Spice!

With... Phuong Tran

Followed the steps of Misscharlot and Spicy Dad to have dinner at this restaurant last night. Business was average for trading of Wednesday night. Agreed with Misscharlot, there were lots of take-away orders as the same as other local restaurant that proves the success of Uber eat or similar service as a trend of eating habit.
Perused the menu and discovered that they offer lots of different Asian style dishes including Chinese, Thai and Malaysia. Maybe the chef try to show-case his knowledge and skills but we suggest them to narrow down the range of dishes to offer and concentrate to have weekly special or daily special for the regular diners.
Ordered entrees of coconut prawns and Peking Duck pancakes and mains of chef's signature of Combination Hot Pot, our favourite of Pork Ribs in Peking sauce with Nasi Goreng Malaysia Fried Rice. Well, both entrees are passable. coconut prawns are different version to Thai restaurant but delivery taste of coconut and prawns are fresh. Peking duck pancakes cannot be compared with those freshly prepared Peking Duck on the table but taste are alright. Both mains are heroes and I particularly love the hot pot, which is full of "wok qi". Pork ribs are surprisingly good with tenderised texture. If the Peking sauce can be more rich in flavour, marks of this review will go higher. Let down is the fried rice (really different from Nasi Goreng of Indonesia style), it is wet and has no sign of fried rice! (maybe it is what they said - Malaysian Fried Rice)!!
One thing that earned our appreciation is the very attentive and friendly service from the staff who served us last night. Thanks for his hospitality. Cheers!

Got a great night dinning here on a Saturday night. Is the only restaurant that opens in the area, seeing a lot of take away orders!!! Great wok flavour for our Thai beef on the special menu.

Terrific! Traditional Australian style Chinese cuisine, just like I remember as a 90s kid. We went for the chefs special dishes, Thai beef, combination hot pot and ginger shallot fish. Everything was served quickly, hot and fresh. My favourite was probably the beef, but the real highlight is the deep fried ice cream, with lovely light crumb and topped with Aussie flag 🇦🇺 My daughter loved it!!

Went here for dinner with some friends on the weekend. Really good Chinese food, friendly service and great ambience! I really really liked the honey chicken - crispy skin and chicken that melted in your mouth. Also really loved the calamari! They also have a takeaway/bar counter which is cool! Overall we really loved this place, really excited to come back for another feast 😋

Ok so here is the download on this place....it's a locals place as its surrounded by units but parking is easy. It's kids friendly which means eat after 7pm because the locals get there early with the kids and it can be noisey. It's fully licensed with a wine list which is embarrassingly bad(sorry but it's true). The duck pancakes were good. The prawn cutlets were not. The duck curry and king prawn noodles were both good with plenty of meat. Price wise was quite reasonable. So overall pretty good. Not much ambience so eat later and drink beer. If you do that it quite passable

Absolutely beautiful food. Chicken Kung Po, Stir Fried Duck and Fried Coconut Ice Cream was so good! Best Asian food I have had. So fresh. Great service. 👍🏼

Asian Spice our go-to when we don't have time to cook. So fresh, so fast! Have always ordered takeaway and it's always ready in 10 mins! The mixed veg with Garlic and cashew is great, the mixed veg with garlic and chilli is sometimes unpredictable in relation to the chilli (we love chilli but sometimes it's borderline too hot). There are always lots of yummy veg packed in, even when we order a meat dish. If we are feeling extra naughty, the special fried rice is our go to with any dish.
Staff are lovely.

Never dined in. Only have had takeaway on days my partner and I don't want to cook. Probably the best Asian place you will find in kangaroo point (Please enlighten me if you find any other in this suburb). Slightly overpriced. Generous portion. Get the pack c takeaway.

We (2 adults, 3 kids) were seated quickly with no booking. Wait staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was quick and tasty. Chicken Wonton Noodle Soup and Nasi Goreng were fantastic.

Asian Spice has nice Chinese food. The service is quick and the food tastes good. They also have friendly wait staff. It is great to see that Kangaroo Point has some dine in restaurants.

Not great but ok. In Brisbane on business for a few days so trying out a few restaurants. Always used urbanspoon but never written any reviews so thought I should contribute. Asian Spice isn't one of the best places around, you wouldn't go there for a special night out but I think some of the reviews are a bit harsh. If you want reasonable food, served very quickly at market prices this place is ok. Must say I was disappointed they don't do coffee which for some would be a big 'no go'

Was a regular. Love their food. wont go there unless I am starving and no where to go!! why
As soon a s you arrive they are waiting for your order, they do not give you time to relax and have a drink, the manager is overwhelming watching you all the time as if he is telling you to hurry up eat and leave!!!
I hope they read this and think about it for many of my friends avoid that place for that reason, try it for yourself!!

Ok these guys get a 10 for effort first and foremost.... Service is great, and the ambiance of the venue is lovely - especially the open kitchen view.

The food however, much different story. I have eaten here twice in the last week, and I can guarantee I will not be returning. The food is very fresh and the amount of vegetables used in the dishes is delightful, but the use of flavours is just plain confusing. Their Pad Thai is not authentic at all... It was yellow, I mean it included tumeric???? There was no heat, sour, or salty - just sweet and tumeric. Creamy Garlic Prawns was another interesting attempt at fusion, which didn't fail as much as the Pad Thai, but a cream sauce thickened on lumpy cornflour isn't what I though I would be served. The other dishes tasted were Mongolian Lamb 8/10, Salt and Pepper Squid (battered not crumbed) 2/10, Spring Rolls (not enough flavour) 2/10.
Just a footnote - if you have an MSG sensitivity request no MSG. These guys use it, big time!
A great place if you are just looking for a quick Asian style meal, but if you looking for something which will impress, go elsewhere!
