I went here when they had a thanksgiving promotion:buy 1 get 1 free. The staffs were nice although they were so busy. Got the crispy beef (forgot the name) and fried rice with pork belly. The fried rice was just awesome for me. It was delicious. They cooked it well so the combination of the spieces was enough. Pork was chopped in small size but they gave it a lot. The rice texture was also right for fried rice (not too hard yet not too soft). The cripy beef in peking sauce was just too sweet for me. I easily got bored with it.
Fast, inexpensive, hot, tasty, and decent portions. I had the Mongolian lamb and chicken corn soup special for $13.80. Not many places where you can get a full meal with appy for under $15.
A steady stream of customers in the door indicates that others think the same about the food here.
Delicious quick asian dishes. Great to feed a small hungry crowd of friends. Food is tasty and very hot. Prices are great and a few locations to choose from. West End parking can be bad.
I could not tell you how many times that I have been to Jackpot Dining in West End. I have always loved the food and service. One thing that I would love to point out is the sheer speed in which they cook and serve your food, it is phenomenal. Thank you
Good food & generous portions. Service & setting bring rating down, as in get your own cutlery(wooden chopsticks) & had to ask for plates. Price was reasonable as well.
Good Chinese food. Consistently good quality. Not fancy, just good food. Always reliable, before big night out :-) Brisbane has very few Chinese restaurants, so this one is a little something ...
Considering the price for a meal here, you really can't complain. Sure, it's nothing fancy but you can grab a quick meal here for under $10. I wouldn't rave about the food, but I've certainly paid more for worse food. I would recommend the roasted duck with kailan.
Never been disappointed with this venue. Service is friendly and efficient even when they're at capacity and the food is reasonably delicious. Everything I've ordered seems pretty authentic and flavoursome with a broad range of Szechuan cuisine covered. I usually roll with the Kung Pao Chicken and Steamed Pork Buns with rice and this always proves to be a satisfying, tasty and filling meal. It's simple, well-executed and has a little something for everyone.
A simple and spacious restaurant to dine at with tasty Asian food and decent vegetarian options too. Customer service is great too with approachable and knowledgeable staff. The meals are delicious and filling for a great price
Quick service and delicious food. Somewhere more relaxed to dine in, always happy when we come here. Only downfall would be sometimes they don't have the best dishes as they run out.
Being one of the successful Chinese restaurant chain stores under the same banner, owner and staffs of this place should be proud of themselves. Set-up is contemporary and systematic. Service is prompt and attentive. Dining area is spacious and comfortable. I have no problem with their foods, which are quite authentic and tasteful. No wonder it is so busy even locating among so many ethnical restaurants at the West End.
Fast, tasty, yummy!. The food is prepared so quickly! And at a bargain price! Such a good feed!!!
And it's wheelchair accessible too :)
Delicious food, great prices, super quick service. Love it!

Being a cheap ole man, I like a bargain. This place damn good for what you pay. Won Tons for all. WonTons for all .... Yeah.
Best Chinese in Brisbane. Great value, speedy service. The setting is a little like a food court but everything else about this place is great. Salt and Pepper Prawns are great.
Hitting the Jackpot. I've been coming to Jackpot for years. They've had a few menu changes but it's always been good value for money. You really can't complain about a dish that is only $10. Perfect for group get togethers or if you're after a tasty, decent sized meal on a budget
Very Tasty. We stumbled across this lovely Asian restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the yum cha. The food was very tasty and good value for money along with really lovely staff. We'll be back.
Great value, great service (rare for Brisbane), very fresh food and tasty. Excellent for lunchtime turnaround. We have only been downstairs, not sure what is different upstairs.
Really nice food. We had yum Cha and a few menu items, loved the butter garlic chicken. Definitely will be coming back.
Jackpot - West End, Brisbane. There are many big and established places to eat on Boundary Street alone, some you can tell are places to go to by walking past. It has several signs to urge diners in, including the giant menu out the front that is practically a billboard showing the items. The choice of food is broad, and it all comes across as somewhat authentic. This is a really good choice for a meal - it is cheap, fairly quick and simple. Then there is the best part, the food is fresh and tasty.
Jackpot has two levels - the one downstairs is laid out like a food-court. I am sure it is a bit fancier upstairs but I did not go there. On the lower level, there is the station to collect orders and even put in some extras such as sauces. You can see the roast ducks sitting there ready to be eaten and they sure did look tempting.
This is one place that has the simple and straightorward service downpat. You go up and place your order then depending on whether you are eating in or taking away you are given a table number or buzzer respectively. A thing that should be noted is that if you want rice, noodles or whatnot on the side they are an extra fee. Some dishes will go oddly without but you make do.
I got a Drunken Taiwanese Chicken Hotpot with steamed riced and an order of "xiao long bao" - a kind of Chinese steamed buns that are commonly known as "soup dumplings".
The xiao long bao were pretty small, but very good. A little bit of broth came out of each one but there was a little bit of meat inside them. The concoctions were a good way to start the meal and would make an excellent choice in a yum cha banquet.
The chicken hotpot had a few levels of flavour including ginger and chili. They used many fresh and wonderful ingredients, with generous amounts of chicken which was served in big chunks. The sauce infused brilliantly into the flesh. I could identify at least three vegetables from memory in there. It went perfectly with the steamed rice (as per requested recommendation from the waitress).
This is one place I think would be enhanced by actually going there for a meal. This meal would suit at least two people and no less, and I hope to that happens some day.
Cheap and fast. Great prices, including the wine. Fast service.
Not all the meals and to my liking, but love the yum cha and favourite is the char qway teow with prawns!!!!
BBQ Pork buns. Stopped in solely for some take away pork buns. Could have had more meat to bun ratio, but otherwise, good yum cha.
Fantastic!. Absolutely love this place, found it by accident while wondering the streets of West End. Great meals and drinks at resonable prices, definately adding to my favorites and cant wait to return. We had various yum cha items which were Ok, the Chicken hot pot was fantastic, the sizzling mongolian beef was great, Laksa...yum! and fried icecream...yum yum! thinking about it now and its making me hungy....give me more, please!
Open delux. You have really.... Open delux.
You have really hit the jackpot once you step inside this restaurant as the prices are low, the food quality is high and the service is fast and chipper.
The food here is tasty and very, very filling (so much so we had to ask for take away containers to take home the left overs)
Try the vegetables and cashew nut dish!
Super cheap, big meals, fast service, flavoursome, great atmosphere, good location. What more could you ask for!?
Cheap, fast food. I have never been disappointed with Jackpot. The food is quite tasty and flavoursome, and with the price being so reasonable it is hard to be disappointed.
Highly recommed their Char Koi Teow, Black Bean Chicken and their Spicy Beancurd... they are my favourites.
One of the best places to eat in West End. With meals as low as $6.80 and international beers only $5, Jackpot can't be beaten on price. But what surprises most is the speed in which you get your meal. The restuarant's clean and the staff are efficient - typical of asian restaurants. While the atmosphere isn't great, it's aces and spades better than traditional Chinese food spots. Wooden floor, halogen lighting, modern white table an chairs. Shame about the 2 LCD tellys (distracting.) Not a place for a formal date, great for an easy meet & greet with mates. Motorcycle parking directly out front. Value, quality, speed, and cleanliness. You beauty!
It is what it is ... Cheapo cheerful formula Asian ... can be a bit variable in quality and quantity but for $10 a plate you can't go far wrong.
Get the window seat and watch the beauty of West End unfold in the evening! Good fun.
Really fast service and decent sized portions for the price. We ordered four dishes and everything tasted great :)
This place was so good, I went back here again with my Boyfriend! I had to talk him out of ordering the steamed vegetables as I knew how completely average they were. We also got a serve of the har gao dumplings when we went here. Below is a picture of Bubble Black tea, it doesn't have any pearls or anything, I'm unsure of why the name is Bubble Black tea. Its a very, very sweet earthy black tea, there isn't any bitterness due to how much sugar is present but it has a very distinctive tannic flavour from how long the tea has been brewed. I had to dilute mine with water as it was so intensely sweet.
This has become our regular spot! It's a great place to catch up with friends and family at the last minute since you don't need to make a booking. Love the fast service and delicious food. Have yet to go through the whole menu but definately recommend the hot pot menu and the sizzling dishes!
Just like Maccas, always sold out of fried ice cream 😂
Staff are very nice and friendly.
Went with my class, food was quick out and alright, some foods/drinks being a bit bland, drinks took a while to cone out, came out half way through and as we were finishing up, milk teas then the rest. Most of us got pearl milk tea. IMO the pearl milk tea is sometimes good sometimes not.
The potato prawns were interesting, worth it for an experience, but not great enough that I’d buy it again. The sweet buns were surprisingly good, I don’t usually enjoy them. Salt n pepper fried chicken could do with more salt, although other then that was good.
The extra steamed rice is a good proportion for it’s price.
The Mongolian Beef with Hoiken Noodles was delicious, cooked to perfection & reasonably priced. The service great; friendly staff. Will definitely go back 😊
Your typical and go to Chinese food in West End, food is good and I like the Kiwi Fruit Tea to go with their dishes to cleanse my palate. My favorite is the spicy beef brisket hotpot, taste is still the same.
Been a good place to eat! Food is great and comes with a good serving. I possibly recommend this place!
