Ordered the salmon fried rice today and it was very nice. The serving size was extremely generous and full of lots of veggies, egg and salmon. The fried rice also had a really nice flavour and wasn’t overly salty. I also had some pork bun which also very nice, the dough was soft and yummy with a decent amount of bbq pork filling with decent flavour. Service was reasonably quick and staff friendly.
Amazing food, very friendly, very cheap.. Pet friendly and good with kids.. love this place!! I definitely recommend it, im about to get some again now!!
After the disappointing lunch at La Quinta, we needed a little more sustenance in the late afternoon and headed here.
We ordered prawn dim sum and prawn gyoza.
The prawn dim sums had a nice thin skin and tasted good, but was perhaps not as fresh tasting as they could have been. These rated a 3. (I'm sure Joe K will laugh at the bloody (saucy) remains of the third dim sum which should have been there before I took the photo!)
The prawn gyoza were fresh tasting and not overly oily which made Mrs Kan Do quite happy, as she usually avoids fried dumplings. The fillings were tasty. These rated a 4.
The place appears to be run by Chinese people, judging from the amount of Mandarin I heard. They were friendly and provided quick service.
Overall a good experience.
This is by far my favourite joint on Oxford St. Great value, friendly staff, and fantastic tasting food. Can't fault these guys. Try the katsu chicken with the endless amounts of Sriracha and mayo. Or the teriyaki chicken, or vegie pad thai.
Best value for money! The meals are massive and so cheap. Taste is definitely not lacking either. Everything is so delicious! Have been back here a few times now and am never dissapointed. YUM!
Meals are great every time, the staff are great at remembering every part of your order without writing it down. My partner and I regularly go there and order the noodle and rice dishes as well as gyozas, and are happy with them. Service is very good and the chefs even talk with you when they are cooking away infront of you if you eat inside.

I eat here all the time, the food is affordable and it's always very fresh. The staff are always friendly and love to greet you. They also happily do takeaway.
Very delicious lunch!. Went here for the first time today with my wife. We just shared some gyozas and special fried rice, which were both really really nice. There was still a 'winter specials' sticker on the centrepiece which was sorta funny, and the settings looked like they don't get cleaned regularly.

A basic, cheap and tasty eat.. This is a tiny restaurant good for a quick, tasty, inexpensive meal. The kitchen is right in front of you and you watch everything getting cooked, unless you are outside or down the back. We have gone here many times over the last year and have had a good experience about 90% of the time. The gyozas are great. I often have the teriyaki chicken. Usually it's fantastic but sometimes a bit too salty. Perfect for 1-3 people but not the place for a big night out with a group of people; it's just not set up for that. And that's not a bad thing.
Great hole in the wall!. This place is exactly what it looks like - a cool little hole in the wall. I've been here numerous times and taken lots of people. Never been disappointed. It's a cheap dinner, fresh and tasty, and you can BYO.
Satisfying lunch. Needed lunch while in the area for work and settled on Yum Yum Gyoza House after walking around a bit. We were seated in the back corner table and given friendly, pleasant and helpful service. Although I had the impression this was a Japanese joint I went with the waitress' suggestion of a (Thai) red panang curry with chicken for $12. It arrived hot out of the wok, with the curry elements taking up about 3/5ths of the rectangular plate. Took me a while to work through the sizeable portion but it was a pleasure to do so and I was quite satisfied with my meal. The only thing that could have made it better was if the chicken was cooked a tad longer.
My fave rice dishes. I always order rice dishes for my lunch break. pretty quick and friendly service, and the price is pretty cheap with huge portion. my fave is always their chicken curry.
Yum Yum indeed.. I'm confused by all the bad reviews on here because when I went to Yum Yum Gyoza House (both times) the food was indeed yummy. Once I sat down for a meal (a vegetarian noodle dish that I can't seem to remember) me and my father both thoroughly enjoyed the food that was generously sized and cheaply priced. The second time I grabbed gyoza on the run with my partner and they were so yummy.

This place won't set the world on fire but for a cheap eat on Oxford street, it hits the mark. Service was friendly and the food was good. But don't walk in expecting to pay budget prices and revive 5 star Japanese fare. Keep expectations realistic and you won't be disappointed.
Great Value Goyza in Bulimba. Firstly, Whether or not a restaurant is owned by people from one particular racial background is not relevant. I am not Asian myself, although I posses 30 years experience eating at different Asian restaurants in Asian and Australia.
This is a very reasonably priced eatery with good quality food and friendly service. I have eaten here three times since it has opened and I am very happy with it.
It should be noted that it is not charging premium prices as some 'Japanese restaurants' do, and like most restaurants, including the very best have dishes and ingredients from outside of one cuisine.
The Chicken Shagoyaki was delivered straight from the wok, with a mound of rice and some pickled gourd for garnish. It was really surprising how much chicken there was in the dish which was tossed in a delicious tangy ginger sauce. I really can’t be certain this was an ‘authentic’ Japanese dish or more of a Chinese/Japanese hybrid. I found the dish a little salty but Anthony had no such complaints and I still managed to eat my share. Great
