I went to there on lunch time because there is lunch special all donburi and curry $9.9
I ate chicken curry and curry sauce was so nice contained lots of vegetable. Chicken was crispy and sraff was friendly and fast service. My friend had korean honey soy chicken and it was huge portion and tasty recommended 👍
Having walked past Grace Platter on several occasions, Phuong Tran and I decide to try their Lunch Menu. Walking in, we see a nicely decorated cozy Japanese Korean restaurant. We order 2 Mains from the $9.90 Lunch Special Menu and a serving of Tempura Prawns ($11.90).
The Tempura Prawn Udon and Tempura Chicken Udon are served in a hot tasty broth with a generous amount of Udon. The Tempura Prawns has a serving of four. We are told they are Banana Prawns and they do taste fresh.
Overall, we had an enjoyable lunch which provides good value. Thank you Grace Platter!
A really unassuming restaurant in Graceville but don’t let that put you off! The food is excellent quality, beautifully presented and the price is right. Well worth eating there for a great evening. The soft shell crab salad and the fried chicken and sashimi and coconut prawn entrees all have to be tried to be believed!!

What I can gather is that a couple young Japanese mates got on the sake one night and decided that they can cook better food than in a typical Japanese restaurant.
And you know what? I think they might have been on a winning idea. It's a great mix of interesting foods that's not boring sushi.
- Eggplant dumplings stuffed with delicious
- Chicken drumsticks served 3 ways
- Karaage perfectly cooked
- Teriyaki beef slab served on kale (I know kale sucks, but this was actually really delicious).
The boys have a long way to go and a lot to learn, like; not all westerners love the ABBA sound track, and cheese burgers aren't Japanese. But what the hell, they are giving it a go, and you should give them a go too.
Fantastic and fresh Japanese food. We love the octopus balls and the Tetaki Beef served with a delicious Japanese mayonnaise and sweet soy sauce on a bed of kale. Yum. Excellent service by lovely owner. Very reasonably priced. We believe by far the best Japanese in the area. Highly recommend.
Beautiful Japanese restaurant, food was fresh and very well presented. Portion sizes were excellent and the staff very accommodating. Prices were very reasonable and happily go back again.
Cute and cozy little restaurant! Service from Johnny is lovely!! I always have the Teriyaki (tofu/vegan) and gluten free Bento Box and it is just sooo delicious! I totally recommend this place :)
We really enjoy this wonderful restaurant 😊
Fantastic food and warm and welcoming staff
I had udon noodle soup with prawn and karaage chicken for take away this afternoon. The noodle soup was nice and karaage was way better than any other Japanese restaurants around here!
This is definitely one of the best local gems! Their food is amazing! We tried their soft shell crab salad today and it was so yum! The soft shell crabs were so crunchy and fresh and tasty, the special Japanese dressing went so well with them! Will be back and back and back again !:)
The fried chicken has a very nice taste however I would recommend to put some juices inside a bit more as it would taste even better. The curry is also delicious but for takeaway specifically, I would suggest to seperate the salad from the main dish. These minor issues can really change the customers point of view of the dish they are served. Other than that, it is probably one of the best Japanese areas in Brisbane. Keep it up! 👍
Delicious Bento box - fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Always great quality food - highly recommend . #supportlocal
We have visited Grace Platter twice. We have had Karaage Chicken, Spicy Pork, Sizzling Prawns, Benton Box and a Pork Dumpling entree. All meals were very tasty and a good serving size. We did not leave hungry on either occasion. The staff are very friendly and the price is reasonable too.
