YUM! The sauce on this seafood ( standard sauce) is incredible, I could drink it! Super friendly staff, really attentive. The seafood was really fresh. The only complaint I have is the portions were a bit small, they look big but there’s not too much meat. You definitely need to get sides to leave full.
Me and my partner ordered the bayou oysters, soft shell crab tacos, crusty bread, snow crab legs, crayfish and a bottle of wine for only $90 each! The signature zing sauce was so good and the oysters were the best we’ve ever had! The owner was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a great night here and will definitely be coming back! 10/10
My partner and I ordered the platter for 2! And it was bloody delicious! There wasn’t a lot of conversations going on at our table because we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! AND not to mention the amazing staff! We were well taken care of and will definitely be coming back for another seafood boil! Mouth watering!! Thank you! - MJ
Absolutely finger licking good, and I mean that literally! This would have to go down as one of the most delicious menus I have tried. Mouth watering Louisiana Redclaw, succulent giant prawns, light and tasty calamari, the most incredible Signature Zing sauce is to die for! The Bayou Bombs, oysters topped with bacon & zing sauce were sooooo good. An absolute 'Must Try' for sure! I can't wait to go back. M mmmmm!!!!!!!!
The seafood is excellent, the selections of sauce tastes amazing. Setting and the staff was really good and attentive service. Our third visit however was a surprise as we normally visit on Thursdays which was the $99 deal. Their website at the time still advertised it however their instagram page said that the deal is over. It was a surprise to the wallet - just note to self to check their instagram page first. OR they could make sure all their advertisements are up to date across all their digital platforms.
Fresh seafood cooked in Southern American style, courteous service and kid friendly. The downside is the location which is in an alley within a new apartment building. Will revisit if I craves chili crabs!
Sauces are amazing especially the Buffalo sauce! Nice cocktails. Good food really enjoyed the experience and would love to come back. Liked the offer of free parking to make it easy
if you like good, spicy, fresh seafood, this is the place for you. I have been here 4 times now and each time it gets better and better. A good hit of spice that is so good you can still enjoy it. They have 5 levels of spicy - however also cater for those who cannot eat spicy! My friends and I tried the burn baby burn sauce (the spiciest one they have) and though it was very spicy, we enjoyed it very much. The owner came out with ice cream (to help with the spice) for myself and my friends who decided to eat the whole Trinidad Scorpion Chilli in the burn baby burn sauce. All staff are so lovely and very accommodating, I can’t recommend this place enough, definitely one of the best and freshest spicy seafood restaurants around!
For lovers of authentic southern spice seafood and hospitality this is the only place for you. The seafood is fresh and plentiful. The prices are actually quite reasonable. I strongly recommend the LOUISIANA REDCLAW CLASSIC PLATTER. The signature sauce is possibly that addictive you will need to book into rehab (joke people). The signature zing sauce is litteraly drinkable from the bowl. So decadent and creamy with garlic to boot!
For lovers of American southern food you NEED to go here.
Great food and great service. Ordering the deluxe platter the seafood was fresh and plentiful and the signature sauce topped it off perfectly reminding me of some of the best chili crab I had in Singapore . The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that I wasn’t a huge fan of the crab selection. I would have preferred our local options of mud and sand crabs.
Regardless, we appreciated the attentive service by the staff and owner who all made sure we were having a good time and enjoying the food and drink.
This is place to enjoy with family and close friends because you will need to be around people you are not embarrassed to make a mess of yourself.
Trying once is all you need - you’ll be hooked for life!!!! It’s so good!!! The seafood is super fresh and super tasty. Portions are generous. Bit on the pricey side but when you share it with friends, it’s such a deal!
We ordered tasty crayfish, crab claw and mussels. The flavor is great, and the service is good too. We will go back again for a platter next time
I’m sad I didn’t get to take photos because the moment the food arrived, we dug in. Where do I begin? I love the atmosphere and it was quite easy to get to in terms of parking. Our parking was validated by the restaurant and as a tired pregnant woman, I was pleased I didn’t have to walk far to the restaurant!
The customer service was great as we got servers checking in every once in a while. We didn’t have to wait for very long with our meals.
I had the 1lb mussels with the signature zing sauce and it was amazing! The owner came in to check on us and ask for feedback and we had a really nice conversation about seafood.
I love love love this place, I can’t wait to go back. I am determined to get the classic platter next time and stuff my face until I collapse.
I don't even know where to begin....we honestly had the best dinner at Louisiana Redclaw. We were are party of 4 adults and 4 little kids and they were more than happy to accommodate us. I have been hanging to try Louisiana Redclaw so what better time than to celebrate mine and my sisters birthday. We got 4 sides for the kids and the adults got the mind blowingly amazing Deluxe Platter with the I Can Handle Heat with a side of Burn Baby Burn sauce. It was perfect. Messy but soo worth it. We're all epic seafood lovers so we were all in seafood heaven. The variety and quantity was incredible. It came in 2 large clam shells. The deluxe platter is so worth it. The owner personally took the time to visit each table and seeing if everything was ok. Teaching us some tips to crack open the crab. We were already soo happy and impressed with our dinner experience but they took it further by surprising us with a complimentary birthday cake for me and my sister with candles. I was in shock that they made our night soo special. Thank you Louisiana Redclaw.
An epic dining experience. We were created we with a warm smile. We had kids with us. The menu isnt very kid friendly but we did find something on the menu that they could eat. The adults soon ordered cocktails. They definately know how to make an espresso martini. For our mains we ordered the delux platter which feets 5. Our platters arrived in two giant bowls and a tipping bread. We were all amazed at the quantity and how delicious it looked. It was a messy night but that only means it was a delicious night. The owner actually walksnthe floor. He takes his time to get acquainted with his quests. He even showed us a trick to how to easily crack open the crab shell. Amazing night with excellent service.
Fantastic restaurant in the valley providing the freshest seafood that are tasty and delicious! They have a range of sauces you can choose from, the ambience was cool and the staff (+ owner) was friendly and came over to each table to ask about our experience. My favourite was definitely the red claws in the signature zing sauce but I also loved the mussels and clams!
Yes! Finally, an 'American' restaurant that does the genre justice! The whole premise is kitschy, but in a fun way... and the food was so good I didn't even care how ridiculous I looked in my plastic bib.
We came in for an early dinner, and shared an assortment of seafood bowls, with sides of corn and bread. We left satisfied but not stuffed, so the ratio of one bowl and one side per person is a safe rule for an average appetite. We had the signature zing sauce, which was unbelievably well bodied and perfectly seasoned. Heavy on the garlic, the sauce had a solid kick (we enjoy spicy food and found the mild to be perfect) and was more of a broth than a butter. This is important to note, as seafood is usually served with an outrageous amount of butter... while this was a both that I felt no shame in using the bread to soak up.
The service and atmosphere were both great- every single table was having a great time... it's pretty much impossible not to have fun at this type of joint. The owner came around to help us out with cracking the crab (much needed advice), and was genuinely interested in checking in on the quality of our experience. I will likely come back next weekend as the food was perfect, atmosphere was fun, and the entire thing only cost $130 for dinner and drinks for two (which is the first time I have ever spent under the suggested price guide)!
Back to this recently visited restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday in group of four people. Order 1 lb each of the Red Claw Crayfishes, Green mussels and Collosal Prawns on top of our pre-ordered Singapore Mud-Crab. This time we try to have those seafood with the signature sauce in level of "I can stand heat", which is just below the hottest level of "Burn Baby Burn". In addition, side dishes of buffalo chicken wings and Beer battered chips were ordered for the time that we waited for the mains. Buffalo wings are succulent and highlighted by the blue cheese dips. The chips are so crunchy that I could not stop my actions of repeated dipping them to the aioli. Then the enormous bowl of mixed seafood presented on the table, they are sensational. Wow, first taste of the sauce that won our appreciation and big "LIKE", particularly when we had the breads, which were soaked with the rich hot sauces. Next came the hero of Singapore Mud-Crab. It is just stunning that presentation, taste, spiciness are all above average. Hereby, we have our compliments to chef Robert and Ken, who made a free mocktail for the birthday girl and extra free dessert of Cream Brulee and Brownie for the whole group. Let me tell you, you must reserve some rooms for the dessert menu next time. The fact is that Robert is not only good at cooking seafood but also has his forte in preparation of desserts.
Overall, a perfect dining experience last night; once again, thanks for the team in the restaurant. Wish you guys all the best!

Was invited by Chef Robert to have a dinner at this new born baby last Saturday. Incidentally, Espresso&Matcha sat next to our table and she was invited to have dinner with her dad & mum for dinner as well. First of all, I have to have my compliment to the whole team particularly chef Robert, Ken and the other wait-staff. They are very passionate and friendly. That is the main point that I think this restaurant will be success among the competitors within the food precinct of M&A and those renowned restaurant including Gerald Bistro across the road. Of course, food is the essential determinant but this restaurant is doing well in terms of serving fresh seafood (quite exclusive around the area) in American style. A big bowl of platter including Alaskan King Crab Clusters, Green Mussels, Diamond Clams, Red Clawfish & Red Claw Clayfish which accompanied with house-made special sauce, corn, potatoes and spicy sausages. This platter is so sensational and I have no doubt to put my thumb up for the delicious sauce and the freshness of the seafood. I have to remind other foodies to ask for chef Robert making extra sauce for the platter because it is so good to go with the breads that are served.
Looking at the dishes that the other tables were enjoying, I did not hesitate to reserve our table for the next dinner with other friends. Certainly, I highly recommend other foodies to try and I am sure that the whole team would not let you down.
Honestly, this review should be 4.5/5 and I mark it 4/5 that base on two reasons: first, there is no more half mark available for the site now and second, I would like to push them doing more to keep the production service and food always better....
Nothing but spectacular... 5 stars for sure. They got anything you could expect for a perfect restaurant. Definitely will come back soon, love it.
I was invited to dine at Louisiana Redclaw by Chef Robert and am certainly glad I took him up on his offer! I brought along my husband, a lover of seafood, and he was a very happy man!
We started with a serving of chips - half sweet potato fries and half potato. The potato chips were delicious and coated in a fabulous seasoning - chips don't normally float my boat but these were great. The sweet potato fries were my favourite and a must - delicious! We then tried the chilli soft-shell crab sliders. I can see why these are a favourite, the sauce is delicious and the crab is incredibly generous for a slider. I'm not the hugest soft-shell crab fan so my husband happily polished half of mine as well as all of his!
We enjoyed the Louisiana Redclaw classic platter with Red Claw Signature Zing sauce - spiced medium. It. Is. HUGE. Packed full of clams, mussels, crayfish, snow crab and colossal prawns, the platter is heaving with seafood. Everything was incredibly fresh and very good quality. Too often seafood platters have average seafood but you can tell the Redclaw team are passionate about fresh and the best possible quality. My favourite was definitely the prawns and my husband couldn't get enough of the crayfish. You need the bread to mop up that delicious sauce - it was garlicky without being overpowering and spicy without leaving a lasting burn - a fine balance which Chef Robert absolutely nails. I don't think the chilli jam is necessary on the side of the bread because the sauce in the platter is so damn good! I'd have loved more sausage in the platter, it was really good and I accidentally ate both pieces, leaving none for my husband to try!
The bibs and gloves are a fun addition to dinner but also very necessary!. Note, do NOT wear white when you visit!! Terrific meal, friendly and attentive staff and a chef who understands balance of flavours and the importance of fresh, delicious seafood. It's not a cheap place but you pay for quality and quality is certainly what you get. It's a great restaurant with a unique to Brisbane foodie experience and one I can highly recommend.
Being a great lover of seafood, there is very little that is more satisfying than sitting in front of a large bowl of crab and slowly deshelling it to reach the treasures inside. Being used to the Asian flavours of garlic and shallot stir fried with my seafood, I always had an interest in trying out other cuisines and flavours, so having heard that a new seafood place opened in the valley, with a focus on spicy Louisiana Boil, I knew I had to check it out. Adding it onto my list of places to check out, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an invite from the owner to try out their classic platter, so we headed off to try it out without further ado. Arriving at our booked time of 6pm, we were granted the option of inside or outside seating, of course we chose inside, where we could appreciate the seafood themed decor, especially the crab traps hanging from the ceiling.
I had crayfish cravings and this came up on my Facebook so it was “meant to be”. We went as a group of 4 and tried their crayfish, Alaskan snow crab and Maine lobster in a few different sauces. My favourite sauce was the signature zing, which was a buttery garlic sauce. I would suggest they add sauce descriptions to their menu because it’s impossible to know what each sauce is without asking the waiter. I sampled a bit of their “burn baby burn” sauce too and wowsers, it is not for the faint-hearted! Crayfish themselves weren’t a lot of meat for the amount of work required in getting it. That’s not a restaurant fault, more so the nature of the species I guess. Next time, I’d probably stick to prawns or bugs that are naturally meatier. The restaurant is brand new and the owners are super friendly and open to suggestions, so I hope the concept takes off.
