Review Miss Kay's Springwood - Brisbane

We needed lunch and I felt like a burger. Spotted the sign and decided to try, thank goodness we did! Awesome tasting "M K Burger" and chips had a lovely flavouring. If ever we need a feed when in the area again, we will go there immediately! Highly recommended!

Delicious burgers, quick service, cold drinks and such large variety of burgers. Need I say more? Yes of course, the food was amazing and fresh and the onion rings were crispy and generous. Great prices and a good vibe.

Needed a burger spot and wanted to try something different. Found Miss Kay’s and decided to dine in (outside area) with the dog. Ordered a Double Cheeseburger with extra Fried Chicken and Pineapple. The wife ordered a Poutine Burger. Both were very delicious, tasty and filling. Burgers don’t come with fries, they have seperate options either plain or loaded. The wife enjoyed a schooner of cider with her burger which she said made it even better. Overall great experience, will try again.

Outstanding burgers! Tasty, well balanced and fast delivery. Would’ve been five stars except the sides were all cold upon arrival. Would be great if they arrived in covered containers to retain heat. Otherwise a fantastic dinner option 👌🏻

Miss Kay's has the American burger nailed. They have the right amount of charred crust, buns that aren't sickly sweet, and a good selection of choices. The OG is truly a great test of how good a "normal" burger can be. Don't sleep on the fried chicken burger either. Had one takeaway order that wasn't filled correctly and management made it extremely easy to correct and were generous in doing so. Probably the best burger joint in the area and definitely the one to try when you want a quality classic burger.

Great food and service was great considering two big tables arrived just as we did and everyone around us all got food without having to wait.. We arrived into the trivia night which was a fun addition to the experience! Definitely come back as there are so many fantastic menu items

Good service, food is fresh and fast and drinks range is good. But that's about it really. The burger (get clucked) I had was pretty bland (no seasoning on the chicken at all) and it was cold because they didn't melt the cheese on the meat or heat the bun, it was really below average for a burger restaurant! The fire fries were missing the sriracha mayo so weren't spicy at all except for the jalapenos. We asked for the spicy sauce to be put on them after they came out with none and the waitress brought them back with a lot more of the great globs of cheese sauce (which is also cold and honestly that is pretty silly on hot fries!) so they were fairly unenjoyable really. The wings were tasty and good sized but nothing to rush back for.

Never been here before, was just a random drive looking for something to eat for dinner. This place was definately very inviting. Ordered the ludakrisp burger which tasted fresh az! The elvis milkshake was the shiz, love the peanut flavor and got me jailhouse rockin yoo. Annnnd OMG, been a minute since i had fried pickles and the salt & vinegar gave it that extra kick in the ballsackz, got me singing heavenly angel music. This place is pretty chilled so good for a first date but come dressed up like danny zuko, you'll fit right in. I dont drink alcohol but they sell it here if u want to get wasted. But the place is mint go try it out. Cheerio

We went to Miss Kays on Sunday 19th of January. Our visit was an unplanned visit after we originally intended to go to Texas Wild Wings but found out they had closed down after arriving.

The establishment was surprisingly larger than what we had expected from looking in from outside. The outdoor seating area appears to be dog friendly and well decorated with artificial grass and festoon bulbs for ambient lighting (although half appeared to be off). Upon entry, we were greeted with a very generous selection of beers and ciders on tap. The American themed restaurant had a number of booths and generously spaced tables inside.

We decided to try their limited edition drinks and ordered their Stone & Wood Champagne Beer, which was certainly different from what we expected.

For food we ordered a classic cheese burger, M.K Special burger and 6 buffalo wings to share. The cheese burger was well prepared with a thick beef pattie and well doused in typical cheeseburger sauces. The buffalo wings were cooked well with just the right amount of spiciness to the sauce. Texture wise, the wings were done well, not too dry and not mushy. The M.K Special burger was delicious, the crispy onion rings were a nice touch.

Our meals were reasonably priced. We look forward to revisiting to try some other burgers next time!

If you want to wait 30 minutes for a burger and chips meal this is the place to go... simple cheese burger and fries had me here for 30 minutes, place is not even packed. Will not be returning.

Had a quick dinner at this local eatery around 7:30pm last night. It was quite busy there. Followed the queue and ordered the Mac Daddy and Get Clucked. In fact, it was too bad to wait over 10 minutes for the meal if we were. It hungry. Finally the burgers were on the table. Well, the Mac Daddy should be the first time that we had burger with pasta, which was not bad at all. The Get Clucked won our appreciation because they served three large pieces of chicken breasts, which were grilled up to perfection. Even though I had the sliders at the grills of Browns Plain over 15 months ago, this should be the first time that I had burger night.

Met a friend here as a half way meeting point from brissy to Goldy. Great location with plenty of parking. We couldn't book a table but there was plenty of tables. This place is huge. You. Order at the front. Their burgers are amazing. Huge servicing. Burgers are pricey and you have to get chips separately so the meals end up being very expensive but the burgers very yummo. We also ordered their Pimms jug. It did taste yum but hardly could taste the alcohol. Service was great. Food is messy as the burgers are huge and their fries are amazing. Will be back.

The special chicken schnitzel burger... chicken was too dry and burger lacked in sauce. Burger buns were nice. Other burgers nothing impressive for the price paid. Might be personal taste but can vouch nothing compared to Grill’d, if you are going for same price range. No big wow on the chips. Milkshakes were a delight though for juniors! Great ambience, perhaps that’s the main attraction. There was a live performance inside dining area and a nice outdoor area.

Miss Kays location and ambiance is really great and an awesome place to catch up even if you have a big group of people.
We ordered M.K Special burger and Fried chicken burger, both the burgers were Lacking SAUCE which made our burgers a bit too dry. My fried chicken was a bit too oily as well - made my burger tasted funny. Burger buns were nice and soft (well buttered).
Maybe next time I could ask for extra sauce on the burger buns and add American cheese to add on top.
Would definitely come back!!

I ordered a cheeseburger, Elvis milkshake & fries.
Pros:
- Great choice of seating for big groups or people just on their own
- Option of indoor or outdoor seating
- Friendly service
- Good menu variety
- Order came quickly
- Orders are brought to your table
- Milkshake was absolutely delicious! You wouldn’t need more than one (I shared mine)
- Great value for money with fries

Cons:
- Unfortunately for me I the burger pattie was very dry, however the person I was with didn’t seem to find it a problem for them.

Went for a Saturday night out with a group of friends and it was very busy. Wait times were a little long, and the indoor area was extremely HOT, I'm assuming because the ventilation isn't very good, I was already sweating sitting down. But the American vibe was apparent like the City's venue, and the atmosphere was very cheery from the other patrons, a good place to celebrate something casual.

I had the vegetarian burger which had a sweet potato burger, it tasted quite nice with the relish and was a satisfying portion. The burgers unfortunately don't come with chips, as we found out after are a complete money grabber.

CON: The Poutine Fries were a complete rip off at like 12$ish you get a thin layer of fries on a plate with a measly grating of cheese and the smallest drizzle of gravy, what a disgrace of a Poutine!!! Canadians everywhere would be crying. I've been to buffets which serve more chips which are included in the price, ha.

I came for the grand opening and the promise of 2-for-1 Cheeseburger was too hard to look pass. The classic Cheeseburger is my favourite anyway. I arrived on opening and i was 12th in line and by the time i got my food the line was well into the car park. I could tell they were in for a wild wild day.

I ordered the Cheeseburger and a Cola Spider for my first Miss Kay's experience. I was very happy with how the beef patty was cooked, a bit pink in the middle. Unfortunately, the burger was warm at best. I'm not sure if the burger was sitting around before it was brought out or what happened but it was not what I was expecting. Also, the buns were a bit firm/stale which took away from the experience. I'm not sure if their buns are always like this because some other burger joints have that same feel. Getta Burger's seeded bun seem to be of that firm/stale taste. Anyways, I'm going to return to see how it is the next time.

As for the cola spider, it gave me a sense of nostalgia. I always welcome these feelings that bring me back to my childhood.

I can’t say I liked it. Long queue out the door with only one staff taking orders, giving it a canteen feel, and the one staff that took my order was snooty too. I ordered the MK special, a side fries and some drinks. The maple bacon was blah, no maple or bacon flavour at all, the whole thing was so greasy, even the lettuce was dripping in oil. The bun and meat patty were ordinary. The order came out quite quickly, the second staff was friendly and helpful when I realised I made the rookie error of not ordering sauce and paying an extra 50c to get ketchup after spending over $25 for food and drinks. There was no kids menu either so you’d have to order a full size burger or feed your kids chips. For the teenage or early twenties crowd this might be an attractive venue with a big screen tv and alcohol and greasy burgers, but disappointingly it’s not for us.

Decided to visit on a Saturday for dinner (around 6pm) and its safe to say I will definitely be returning... but on a different day. The line was out the door and took about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line to order. Once we had ordered we were informed that tables of 4 or more would have to wait up to 15 minutes to get seated. We came in a pair but still found it almost impossible to find a seat so we decided to order but get takeaway instead.

After ordering, we sat around only to watch the line grow even longer - would definitely consider the wait time for this restaurant if you were to visit on a Saturday night for dinner! It took about 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive.

We ordered the 'Ludakrisp' - fried chicken, house slaw, pickles, sweet bbq & mayo. The crispy fried chicken in this burger was definitely crispy however, some parts of the chicken was just batter and was a bit disappointing as I would expect a full piece of chicken rather than 70% chicken and 30% batter. Despite this, the burger was extremely tasty and all the flavours worked very well together! I would definitely ask for more sauce as I found it was lacking in the sauce department compared to the fried chicken ratio which I felt definitely needed more sauce to balance the textures a bit more. The second burger ordered was the 'Get Clucked' burger which had chicken breast, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pineapple and mayo. The condiments on this burger worked very well and the pineapple was a winner as it complemented all the flavours! We also ordered a side of 'Miss Kay's Fries' which is said to be seasoned with 'Miss Kay's seasoning' however, tasted very similar to just some salted fries from any restaurant. They were however a very good cut of fries and fried perfectly.

Overall, the prices for this burger joint is not too bad and would love to try some drinks here next time. Would definitely visit again to try their other burger flavours and sides but on another night.

Great to see franchises such as this heading south! Hopefully this encourages more. Was very busy when I went in and staff handled very well. Cheeseburger was great - bread may be a bit dense for my burger taste but that’s personal preference. All the burgers were juicy and saucy - no complaints. There was a few flies in the restaurant which I didn’t like but with indoor/outdoor that isn’t the restaurants fault. Will be back. Would love to see them do phone orders for takeaway once things calm down

We came in on a Saturday night and ordered.
Elvis, and brownie milk shakes, both were luke warm and not particularly good. Food wise we got poutine fries which severely lacked gravy, was room temperature, resulting in the cheese being unmelted and the bacon was completely uncooked
Onion rings were soggy, yet tasty.
Buffalo wings were average.
The burgers we ordered were the
M.K special, the maple bacon was undercooked and lacked any hint of maple.
Cheese burger, this was ok, however the meat patties are uninspiring.
Ludakrisp, actually quite tasty with a good crunch
All burgers suffered from stale bread.

All in all with the plethora of great American eateries popping up around Brisbane, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere, I know we certainly will in future

Edit I forgot to mention the 50 minute wait for the luke warm food
