We dine here pre-iso all the time and this is honestly our favourite Thai place in Brisbane hands down! We haven’t come across a restaurant that has the same food standards and fast service like this restaurant. Our usual order is Dry noodles tray wit Bbq pork ($23.50) and for dessert Coconut ice cream ($5). The tray is reasonably priced for what it has to offer. The dry noodles are nicely complimented with the Bbq pork and the side soup is delicious.
The coconut ice cream is super fluffy however melts a little too fast for our liking. Overall this place is a must visit in Brisbane and offers amazing authentic Thai food.
My Thai friend recommended this place and I'm so glad that she did. The flavours and deals were amazing. And the staff and service were excellent. They really took care of their customers.
Awesome casual vibe. Food was really tasty and affordable. Loved the Thai milk tea
Twice in the same week. With so many places to choose from, that’s a feat in the Brisbane city.
Lunch specials are great value. Portions are just right and when you ask for spicy, it really comes spicy which is fantastic!
Roast duck rice, not to my personal preference, a little too sweet but overall it does taste like the street food I’ve had in Thailand.
The spicy and sour clear soup noodles, so delicious. It’s really spicy and sour. So satisfying. I need to refrain from going back again so soon. Trying my hardest to eat my own packed lunch
Another gem of a place for Thai food lovers. Located in the lower level of Queen Street Mall. Usually crowded at the lunch hour.

My Recommended Food
👌Cashewnut Chicken
👌Green curry
Both are available during lunch special in the menu. They are a single plated meal and served with sticky rice.
Be sure to mention if you are looking for gluten free food. As they could help you with that.
😋Loads of cashew loaded in the Cashewnut Chicken which is something I did not enjoy a lot.oved the sauce and its flavor which was soy based with red sauce.
🍛 Green curry remains my favorite due to the creamy taste from the coconut milk.
Would I Visit Again ?
So far around 4 times. 😋😋😋😋
Loved everything about this place. The ambience created felt like you were in Thailand. Service was great too. Popped in for a quick snack before our night and heard so many good things about the crab and prawn roll. It didn't disappoint. Food came really fast. The rolls were super crunchy and made to perfection. Wish we had more. Will be back to try out their menu more.
Only hoped in for a quick bite and l loved it. Loved the ambience, loved the service and loved the food. We got the crab prawn rolls and it was delicious. So much flavour packed into such a cute roll.. Can't wait to come back and try other things off their menu.
Very affordable Thai street food in the middle of fully air-con’d shopping mall. A perfect place to have a short late lunch break when you’re in the city. Try the spicy noodle and the som tum (papaya salad). And of course a big plate of prawn Pad Thai never fails.
This is a large Thai place tucked away in the corner of the Queens plaza bottom floor. The lunch specials are great value and there are plenty of seats so getting a table has never been a problem. I wouldn't mind if the food was a bit spicier? maybe I'll ask for some extra heat next time.
Been here a few times already, with friends and family - I'd say this is one of the better Thai restaurants in Brisbane, may be slightly overpriced for the portions but it's still pretty good. Make sure you specify you want spicy because I didn't for a takeaway order once and it was disappointing! One thing I would mention, customer service at Kinn Imm needs improving - I saw waiters approach 2 tables who were non-asian customers as I was having my meal to thank them for coming. Nothing when another 2 Asian tables got up to pay... Just saying they could do with a little more consistency in customer service. We are all paying customers here at the end of the day.
Fantastic food, great service and ambiance is on point. Try the deep fried soft shell crab curry! Something a little different compared to standard Thai menus but nevertheless delicious 😋
Probably one of the most authentic Thai restaurants I have been to in a while. Have had it on my hit list for sometime now-actually since it opened I spotted it on one of my frequent trips into Coles. (it's just outside ) Service was pretty good however on saying that it wasn't crowded like it seems to get at lunchtimes during the week. This was a Sat night & I ordered the barramundi which came out with a delightful crispy skin & cooked how I like it personally (overdone)!! Was served with wombok, nicely spiced topped with coriander. The onion salad which came with it was also tasty & refreshing. The Thai fishcakes were generous in size & were bang on in the flavor stakes, juicy inside & topped with fresh chillies -my kind of food
Lovely staff they have there, help me to play with my little one so I can have my pleasant lunch for awhile. love the iced thai coffee there too. love the papaya salad which is spicy enough and is so authentic, actually after this lunch made me wanna go to travel in Thailand. I miss you thailand...it has been awhile ....

Love it!
Traditional Thai food that is fresh and cheap. I lived in Thailand for 15 years and this is the best Thai restaurant in Australia. The food tastes like authentic Thai and comes out quick. I highly recommend this place!
Quick service, delicious menu items, pleasant atmosphere. Waitresses refill your water as often as you need. Cheap pricing, dishes a bountiful treasure trove of flavour and spice and palate pleasing delight. Friendly staff. Great place!

Time for updating the review. Still satisfied with their foods. My friend who once lived in thai said that this restaurant serves the most authentic thai dishes. Pad thai and tom yum were great!! Cant even forget the chili basil sauce. It’s a fantastic art!! Perfect!! Would give them 4.5*

Nice place and ambience. It is located next to coles central so it's not hard to find the place. We had tom yum prawn and water spinach. They served in large portion which is enough to share with my friend. Tom yum tasted so good. It's not spicy yet the combination of its sourness was just perfect. The water spinach was also good and tasty. They served such enjoyable foods. Good and fast service.
Ordered beef salad and flavor was to die for. Rare beef strips melted in my mouth with an explosion of lime, chill and fish sauce. Wish there was more coriander and the lettuce was more finely chopped. Also red onions might've given the dish a slightly more subtle onion flavor. I loved this dish, it would blow my mind with a few subtle adjustments. Came for lunch in a large group and was very impressed with service, only 1 dish was slightly delayed. No split bills but you can pay individually by cash at the counter,so that was convenient. Atmosphere is cool, makes me feel like I'm in a hawker centre. Definitely recommend.
After a very trying day at work, I was grateful to have a lunch meetup with BrisvEGustation to try out Kinn Imm at situated opposite New Shanghai at Queens Plaza. Having been open for a little while now, I was surprised to arrive to a bit of a line. . With the menu situated outside, I liked the ability to peruse my options before getting a seat.
The foods and environment were quite good but bits overpriced. The portion was small but the rice is refillable. And there wasn't much of choices for vegetarians.
Entrees were quite oily (we had corn fritters and garlic chives dumplings). Mains were good, we shared the pad Thai and duck curry which turned to be better with each fullspoon. Service was good but could be better. Would definitely come again.
Ordered the Pork Floss+ chilli Jam crepe with the cheese and it costs $7. The crepe comes out fresh and hot and really crispy and it was unexpectedly big, definitely worth the price and I will come back to have this crepe again since it has become my favorite^^
Visited Kinn Imm on a Saturday night around 6pm- the restaurant was filling up rapidly for dinner. The restaurant is designed to resemble hawker stalls, and in my opinion, the decor perfectly balances modern with old school charm. The service of the food was very quick - dishes arrived 5 minutes after ordering which was a little suspicious but nevertheless, it was absolutely delicious. We ordered the chicken tom yum noodle soup (our favourite), grilled chicken, pad thai and massaman beef curry (not pictured). Although the potatoes in the curry were a little undercooked, everything else was very enjoyable- perfectly balanced Thai flavours. The portions were a little small for our liking but I guess it was proportionate for its cheap price. Left feeling full and satisfied. Will return.
Hidden Thai gem in the city. Really clean and tidy little restaurant downstairs in queens plaza on the mall. Great tasting food. Had laab gai. Fish cakes. Satays and pad Thai. All served up with authentic great tasting flavours
Food was amazing! We had the fried dumplings, Thai sausage, pad Thai, chicken & cashew nut and crispy pork belly & broccoli stirfry. Only downside was lack of vegetables in the chicken cashew stir fry and the reusable wooden chopsticks.
First of all, loved the decors that give a feeling of a street food shop in Thailand. Lots of staff and they were pretty friendly and helpful. The iced Thai milk tea was wicked! Loved it, not too sweet. Great selections on the menu-well done. We had:
• Fish cakes - wowwww homemade ones not those frozen ones that you can buy from Asian groceries
• Northern Thai Sausage - lack of flavour and overcooked
• Combination Papaya Salad - well seasoning and good combination of ingredients
• Spicy Pork Soup - yummy tangy soup and tender pork
• Kana Moo Grob - well cooked and generous
• Deep fried fish fillet - over cooked and overpriced
Heard noodle soup and steamed chicken rice were popular, might be back to try one.
Kinn Imm and the Phat Elephant share the same owner, but this new addition to the QueensPlaza food court has a very relaxed vibe to it. Stepping into the restaurant was like walking through a busy back street in downtown Bangkok - wooden tables and stools closely placed next to one another, one of the walls had been turned into a faux facade of shop fronts with signboards written in Thai, spicy aromas filled the air and the restaurant was loud with people chattering. I liked it - the ambience and the decor were so fitting for what the restaurant had to offer - Thai hawker food.
Great service, very attentive and friendly. Loved the food would definitely go back again and take my family. Had the chicken, pork skewers and a crispy pork stir fry perfect for a quick lunch.
This was my second visit to Kinn Imm, on the lower ground floor of Queen's Plaza in the Mall.
Starter to share was the Fresh roll (smoked sausage, tofu, egg, cucumber, caramelised tamarind) – very tasty but the outer pancake was a little dry today so it fell apart but my previous visit it was perfect – this was a good one to share.
Mains were the Curry Soft Shell Crab and Prik Khing Moo Grob (wok fried crispy pork belly, dry red curry, kaffir lime leaf). Both were pretty good - my pork was delish but the meat to skin ratio was a little bit skin heavy (love crispy skin but need some meat too!).
The place was packed both visits and both times the service was great – for such a busy time of day, everything came out to us fairly quickly. Pay up the front as you leave but be sure to get table number from staff because it's not displayed for you.
Will definitely return – good place to duck out for a
weekday lunch and beer with workmates!
Tried four things and equally good. Quantity and quality is in proportion. Just the option for vegetarian is nil, which is very important because I have friends who are veg and they are getting deprived to enjoy the flavours.
This is the best Thai I have had in a while. Their panang pork curry is absolutely to die for. Turmeric squid, crispy garlic pork are equally as delicious. The service was efficient and food came out very quickly. My partner and I will definitely be back.
I visited this place for dinner. We ordered Sea Food pad cha, Som Tam, Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts. The taste is closest to authentic Thai Food. The best Thai food I had so far ...at Brisbane.
Kinn Imm is a refreshing Thai restaurant. The food is delicious and the flavours are authentically Thai (unlike many Brisbane restaurants, which cater to a very sweet, westernised pallet). Reasonable prices and a busy, lively atmosphere makes this one of best Thai restaurants in Brisbane that I've tried.
I had an opportunity to explore this newest addition to Queens Plaza's food court today. Situated just across the hall way from New Shanghai, Kinn Imm is a little sister of highly rated (and my personal favourite) Kinn Thai restaurant of Westfield Garden City. The menu is leaning more towards street styled food which means simpler dishes. I don't think the food here is as good as Kinn Thai. Flavours were not as balanced nor refined as its older sibling's.
The decor reminds me of my time in Thailand. Somewhere in Chinatown of Bangkok I am sure is where they based it off.
We ordered four dishes. All of which we are familiar with and regularly order in most Thais we have been to. They lack the magic Kinn Thai have but is still decent enough for a regular lunch. Most dishes are also in lower price range tailored to suit CBD location marketing themselves as an affordable lunch destination.
I don't mind going back here and there but not in a hurry by all means.
Finding a Friday lunch spot is tough in our office. Enter the newest Thai restaurant, Kinn Imm. We were greeted with smiles, and water and menus were brought to us straight away. The restaurant has a great, busy vibe, and smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. Meals came out within minutes of ordering, and were fresh and hot. The Pad Thai, Pad Se-ew, Basil Chicken and Panang Pork were all winners in our book. Service was great, meals were delicious, and we will definitely be back.
Visited during my little getaway time.
Great selections of Thai food, and a popular restaurant with lots of people dining in.
Everything tastes great and so authentic, with a super good price. The food comes also very fast.
Remind me my trip in Thai.
Highly recommended this place.
Food takes time to be served. We got a hair and green worm in one of rice dish. They immediately replaced it and cooked another batch. Food is delish tho.
This place has the best Thai food in the Brisbane CBD. Table service is offered to dine-in customers and the servers are friendly. Good atmosphere. We waited a little bit for our food as they were very busy but it was worth it. Prices are very reasonable for a non-food court location.
Unique street-food ambiance, attentive crew and quick service. We had crispy pork, marinated grilled chicken and braised pork hock. Had a lovely thai iced coffee to take away after our delicious meal. We've been here a number of times and we love how varieties were now added on the menu. Been returning at this restaurant for the green curry, massaman beef and soft shell crabs! 🤤
This is real Thai food. If you want to know what Thai food tastes like, please come this restaurant
Enjoyable food. The beef stir fry was not extraordinary tender. However i have experienced that many times before with thinly sliced beef so should choose chicken or pork next time. I would recommend based on flavour and service.
