Love the dosa and the buttered rice! Can’t wait to go back with more company to sample more
great food.
One of my favourite indian restaurants around !!Have been here a couple of times! Each time i visit never miss out on eating choole batura !I love the food, tasty and hygienic! Its worth the money!!
This place rules so hard. Cheap as and super authentic. All vegetarian and the spice levels are great. Decor leaves a lot to be desired but it also gives it charm. Big recommend.
Bless these indians 😘 for this amazing Chole bhature and Mango lassi. The amazing restaurant Mirchh Masala serves you the authentic indian food here in Brisbane and it has also an indian grocerry shop under the resturant. All the indians living in brisbane must visit this place if you want DESI khana. Loved it ❤

We loved our curries and roti, amazing value! But a word of warning... We had a friend with us who loves Westernised sweet, meat versions of Indian curries and they were not impressed.
what can be better than getting same Chhole bhature and Parathe taste when one is missing India. We love everything about this place, be it taste, service or price all are upto the mark and the catch is that they have Indian store downstairs 😊😊
Authentic Indian fast food at a very reasonable price. Don't got for the decor but for the experience. You will have to cross through an Indian grocery store but that's what makes it so worth it. We ordered the special where you got 3 different curries and all the accompaniments. Also got the potato Samosa and mango lassi. Everything was delicious.
This place is a hidden gem. A vegetarian took me here and now I take everyone here. I always forget what I ordered because my memory sucks, but it's a journey I happily take whenever I need to wow a vegetarian or make someone think I know of the secret places in Brisbane, which are so far and few between.
I love Mirchh Masala. Anyone craving Indian comfort food must visit this place. Aloo tikki, Chole Bhatura and Mango lassi are my favourites.
I don't really know all that much about Indian Street food, but whatever this place serves up ticks my cheap ghetto tasty box 100%. All the food is fresh tasting. I usually go the chaat tikki masala or the paper dosa.
Chickpea curry and the puffy breads were addictive! These curries are vegetarian and have heaps of flavour, it didn't taste too oily or unhealthy. It was also very affordable costing about $25 for two people, we were so full with plenty of leftovers! The downstairs grocer sells desserts which were not to our liking but probably loved by many, definitely give it a try! Well worth it, ps mango lassi was the bomb!
Best Indian street food I have ever eaten. Price is really good for the amount of food served. Only vegetarian but would not know it because the food is so full of flavor. Highly recommend you give it a try!
Best Veg Thali I've had in Brisbane (2nd best I've had in AUS). I'll definitely be back.
Price of the thali is a little high but for what you're getting it's hard to complain too seriously.
Fantastic meals, lots of flavor and lots of options. Authentic. A few hours later and my stomach is still feeling happy.
Conveniently open till 10PM.
Located above a huge Indian supermarket, great opportunity to try your hand at the dishes at home.

My wife and I have been on the hunt for great Dosa for three years since experiencing it in all it's glory in Mumbai, India.
Mirchh Masala serves up Indian street food - Bhature, Dosa, Bhaji Pav, Samosa, Thali and Chutney Puri. We've been told time and time again that this is the place for great Dosa, so here we are.
The Masala Dosa was huge (about 60cm), but the size of the Dosa was deceiving as there was a very average amount of filling in it. The Dosa was good - good texture and good flavor - but not great (3.5 out of 5). The search continues...
The Bhature was delightful (4 out of 5).
The Samosa lacked tenderness and was very dense - an amazing amount of food for $2.99 - but aside from one pocket of spice was rather bland. Still great value for money (3 out of 5).
Tried 'Thums Up' the Indian version of Coke-Life.
$20 buys you more than enough food for two. Would return, but will not be high on my list.
A place little known but so incredible! Authentic and delicious street food, just like the streets of India! Hidden away above an Indian grocery store, this little hole in the wall is the place to go to amazing Indian street food! Great value for money and very friendly staff!
If you are a street food lover, you know that street food are various, tasty, affordable and hearty portions. Famous for their Indian street food, Mirchh Masala pretty much hits the concepts! Been here a few times and tried a lots of things, I have kept coming back for flavoursome samosa chaat.
Talking of the service here, this place has already made it clear that this is a self-service place. I think they have tried their best to provide what their customers may need; disposable cutleries, napkins cups, etc-we just need to grab them by ourselves. The staff keep the tables and seats clean almost all the time. For the fact that Indians mostly use their hand to eat, there is a basin, hand wash liquid and paper towels provided. So in my opinion, the service is acceptable. Probably staff gotta smile a bit more:)
Awesome food. Cheese masala dosa is a must try here. Chutney was authentic Indian taste. Will surely suggest to my friends. Try the samosa chat too..
Due to the proximity of the restaurant to our humble abode, we frequent it when the mind is incapable of deciding on dinner/lunch. I like that there is a good variety to choose from and serving sizes are great given the low prices. I would highly recommend trying their Pani Puri. I had it for the first time ever at Mirchh and it was quite an experience. The dosas are excellent as well. I recently tried their rose falooda which was tasty and proved to be a bit too much for me.
Our Indian friends took us there and they said it's the most authentic Indian restaurant in Brisbane. Here you get something cheap and hard to find in other Indian places. If it's your first time here you should try the bhatura chole and mango lassi.
Samosas from this place are too good , we are a regular customer of this place to get the samosa. Dabelli is a bit spicy but tasty. The decor problem is solved after the recent renovations and now they do provide a buzzer which rings when order is ready.
Love this place. Went to Mumbai in 2014, and the food here tastes exactly like what you would get over there. My favourites are the Thali (because you get to try a bit of everything) and the Chole Bhature.
Best indian vegetarian. Food full of flavour. Fresh and good size serves. Lots of variety and excellent value for money.

Went here for the first time last night and WOW - great little place above a busy Indian grocery warehouse. Grab your bulk groceries (rice/spices etc) and then duck upstairs to get a yummy, cheap street food like meal. We paid $15 for the 'bit of everything' special, got home and were really surprised at how great it tasted and the range of food we got. Will be back again very soon!!
What a beautiful experience. We had chat here after a year and it was delicious. Ambience, service and food quality all met our expectations!! My wife was almost in tears for it reminded her of home.
I absolutely adore this place! The place itself is nothing fancy so don't come expecting wonderful decor or ambiance - it is very simple and resembles a cafeteria. However the food is very authentic and homely, wish I could eat here every day!
This is one of the very few Indian restaurants in Brisbane where you get a wide variety to choose from. The taste is too good, no doubts here. Place is spacious and neat. The people working here are not too friendly, but that isn't a big issue as long as the food is good!
Overall, a perfect choice to try Indian veg food!
Wow! This place is busy. It is situated in a very small strip of shops on Logan Rd and with the nearby chemist warehouse makes the carpark a nightmare. There is an Indian grocery store downstairs and the no frills restaurant is upstairs. Indians swarm the place so you know it is authentic and good value. A little too hot for my tastebuds but soooo super tasty I can't help but want more. At least if I do get heartburn, I can visit the friendly pharmacists next door!! Worth a visit
Great food, really authentic and such good value.
It's a little hard to know what dishes are but whatever you choose it's never disappointing.
Best Indian Street Food In Australia. Hello Mirchh masala,
Thank you very much for offering such a delicious food in brisbane for all our indian people.
Basically i am from delhi and we do go out lot for indian street food back home.
I was been taken over by my uncle name Surinder and it was all about how he talked and mentioned.I was really amazed to see people waiting in long que for food but it was worth waiting in que for 15 min.
Best of the best keep up guys and yes ur chole Bhatura and thali best of the best.
Will come back to brisbane next year and will surely visit ur place.
This place is the best Indian food in brisbane hands down. We just love it. The puri puri explode in your mouth and it is a gastronomic delight. All vegetarian and about as tasty as you can get. Would recommend this every time.
A simple but good indian cafe. Great tasting cafe with the shop below, good prices. Only downfall they don't open on Wednesdays.
Love it.. This is what McDonalds would be like if it was invented in India.
Basic ....... Cheap ...... Brightly Lit ...... YUM !
If you are not familiar with this style of food, just order the "chutney puri" these are bite sized explosions of taste and work your way through the menu board from there.
Also if you like "tart / tangy" flavours get a mango lassi from the fridge, they are thick, smooth, cold and super tangy.
My mouth is watering as I type.
Awesome North Indian Streetfood. Having moved from UK, I have been wanting and desperate to have some genuine Indian street food like those available in the famed Southall, UK or Birmingham UK. And out of pure chance we bumped into this awesome food place. The chats and breads are authentic and probably as good as they get.
Indian Restaurant That Indians Actually Eat At!. One night I was starving and happened to pass by here and out of sheer random luck decided to have a try of this place. It's located upstairs from an Indian Grocer and the two shops combined have this real authentic Indian street feel. Anyway up the stairs the restaurant decor wasn't exactly fine dining decor but more like a cafeteria. Despite it being a Tuesday night it was quite packed.
The first thing you'll notice upon entering is that all the diners are Indian which is extremely rare for an Indian restaurant in Brisbane. The second thing is that all the food on the menu is extremely hard to pronounce. Neither of these is a bad thing. I realized I had found a REAL Indian restaurant.
I ordered a simple meal some kind of Chole (pronounced Cholly) and all the food was pretty affordable and cheap. The meal came fairly quickly, in about 8 minutes and was of a medium serving. Despite the place being a vegetarian restaurant you really don't notice the lack of meat since the flavors are so rich.
I finished my meal which was quite nice and full of flavor and spices. The hotness is hot enough that you can feel it on your tongue for at least 30 minutes after the meal but not hot enough to make you demand a glass of water. At one of the more upper class Indian restaurants you'd expect to find at South Bank or South Brisbane I would of expected to pay four times as much to experience the same flavors which sold me on the idea of coming here again if I ever felt like Indian food.
Overall, if you want Indian food catered to Westerners, go to another place which serves food for four times the price. If you want no nonsense Indian food which actual Indians eat and is authentic and very affordable go to this place. Possibly the most authentic Indian restaurant in Brisbane.
More please. Unpretentious, basic, delicious, booths, genuine, quick. Everything we love. Will be our Friday night staple.
The Real Deal. The place is a tad hard to find. It is in the small shopping centre on the corner of Logan Rd and Lotus St between Chemist Warehouse and the Caltex. It is above (and shares the entrance with) the Indian Grocery Store, There is a small paper sign at the bottom of the stairs saying 'Chaat' but I must have missed any sign saying Mirchh Masala.
It is worth persevering though. This is not your typical westernised Indian curry and rice place but is a real basic regular Indian food for Indians place (the stuff they really eat day to day). It is not in the slightest flashy or pretentious so maybe not ideal for that first date or a special occasion but that's the point,
The food is what it is about. It is all vegetarian, tasty, filling and great value. Definitely worth a go,

There seems to be a lack of dead animals in my meal. How can I say damns fine food without using the word meat? Well I can here. The aloo
paneer went down and out in a ring of fire. Then there is the indian flavoured ice cream. Saffron ice cream who knew?
Diana. Indian street food at it's best- in fact I can't remember having such great food since leaving India many moons ago now! They serve vegetarian which suits me down pat & the spice was just perfect for me. I would say Indian hot for heat, blew my dining friend away but they still loved it. We had the MM special chick pea, just divine, then those puffed up puri breads to go with it. The mango lassi well enough said about those in the previous reviews. When you walk up the stairs to this little cafe you will definately be taken on a whirlwind trip to India bollywood movies included!
Authentic indian street food! Each dish cost roughly ranges from 7.99$ to 11.99$. Delisshhhh!
A new favourite. First time visitor today, I can tell I will be back many many times, I want to try everything from the menu. The chole chaat samosa was absolutely delicious, exactly what we experienced on the streets of Bangalore. Highly recommended!
Yum. You can tell this place is good from all of the taxis parked outside! Great food, great prices, new to this type of food so can't compare but very tasty, great texture and just spicy enough. Just need to clean up the off putting entry.
Awesome chaat. Hi i been to this place first time and amazed and shocked after having their chaat. i can't believe we get such delicious and fresh chaat in brisbane. frankly speaking i never had such a delicious chaat in my life.. must a visit placee..... cheers...
Genuine chaat. Was taken here by someone from Pakistan. It's unapologetically spicy, sweet, savoury, tangy and everything in between. No dumbed down flavours! This is real street food you can experience in any of the major urban areas throughout the Indian subcontinent. Now that they moved upstairs, there's some comfy seating space too. Try the gol gappas (pani puri), samosa chaat, or the vada pav.
Awesome veg food...... Soooo......delisious food, i have after a so long time. an authentic india taste and its 100% veg.
its really tangy taste. its indian fastfood. evrything is so fresh and taste so good...i really love it..
The light airy balls are then filled with a mixture of chutney, onion, potato and other delicious goodies and strewn with sev (crunchy fried chickpea noodles). What intrigues me is the concept of something crisp being filled with a something moist. Doesn’t the filling make the crisp pastry, soft? Yes and no. Because these are cooked
