Porkees Vietnamese Deli - Brisbane - Photo album

Have long been a fan of Porkees. Always busy, and smells amazing! I love their Pho, and a friend adores their curry. Today I had the special spicy beef soup and it was delicious - fragrant, lemongrassy, perfectly cooked noodles.
Ordered a porkee Banh Mi. Best Banh Mi I've had in QLD. Place was very busy due to the lunch crowd but they rushed out orders quickly so I didn't have to wait long. My sandwich was $9 so I don't know what the other reviewer was complaining about.
Soooo much carrot! It was not even pickled well and no daikon to be seen. Nice bread but overall it was fairly average and very dry. Not too sure how many Bahn Mi places some of these reviewers have been to with some of the 5* roll ratings here.
This was one of the best tofu ban mi I have ever had the spring rolls were amazing also.
Having eaten Vietnamese street food many times I thought I'd try Porkeez. I had a Banh Mi. Whilst is was tasty I couldn't get past the cost. This is street food. Agree that there's a bit too much carrot on banh mi but enjoyable overall and not sure why the silly woman is complaining about price. It's $9 not $13.
Used to love the beef pho. But the taste, quality and definitely the quantity have declined for the last year or so. Was not even given a proper soup spoon during the last 2 recent visits. But it is still very busy so maybe the other dishes are ok.
The best Banh Mi in Brisbane, love the mushroom pate as a vegetarian substitute. Viet ice coffee is also top tier
