This place is the real deal. I am exceptionally picky when it comes to pizza and this place has delivered like no other restaurant in Brisbane. The base is of just the right thickness and texture, a bit salty, flour on it a touch burnt by the flame in the oven. Mamma Mia pizza is a toping delight brought together by aroma of truffle oil. I'll be back!

Really friendly place. Moderately priced for what you get, but there's some effort made so probably pretty fair all in all. The crowds have certainly lifted with the opening of the new restaurant. And I really appreciate being able to order dinner later than 7:30pm on a weeknight (some of us eat late thanks to work routines;)).
We've tried the pasta, but tend to lean towards the pizza due to the limited offerings. Pizzas serve around 1-2 people depending on hunger levels and salads/sides. The meatball appetiser is lovely and I'd try more appetisers if they chose to add more. Would love some other pasta takeaway options if they go that way one day, but totally fine just using it as our local pizza option if now.

The Aperol Spritzers are just like the ones in Italy. The octopus salad is fabulous as were the meatballs and our pizza. The meatlovers was full of superb well flavoured meats. The essence of great service and great food. Will be back, easier than going to Italy and yet exactly like it.

Lastnight I had the ‘Mamma Mia’ pizza as take away and my partner had the ‘Capricosa’ pizza. Hands down the best we have ever had - Authentic, amazing pizza. Highly recommend.

Lovely staff but the take-away notifications didn’t work and by the time we got the food it was cold. Had the la margarita and meat lovers and it was burnt and a bit bland unfortunately.

We ordered the garlic and rosemary focaccia, ham and pineapple pizza and cannoli via uber eats and we weren't dissapointed, it was so yummy non greasy and the cannolis are delicious we will definitely order again as well as eat in, thankyou guys 👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂😋😋😋

Really nice local pizza and greek food place. I have only tried their Pizzas and will have to try the greek food too. Pizzas are usually good with unqie flavours which you can't get anywhere else. The lamb os pretty good and chicken with pumpkin also is pretty good. They are also generous always throwing freebies when ordering 3 pizzas

Ridiculously expensive, but the taste is so authentic. From the burned edges, to the perfect chew. Full of flavour and splendour, but could honestly be bigger! 2 people can smash a large easy. Service was good. They brought it over to me where I work. I will be back!

Food is always so wholesome and delicious, and you can tell everything here is homemade. 100% recommend. Staff and owners are friendly, waiting time is short. A very simple restaurant with a menu with a huge variety, can’t go wrong. 🙌🤩

Been here a few times, I’m tend to stick with meals I like, I’ve had Mumma’s roast lamb pizza a few times and it’s delicious and fresh every time. Family run restaurant, friendly service. <br/>I’ll return but not frequently as it is a bit dear, I don’t mind paying for quality though.

Fantastic place. We love our pizzas and heard some great reviews about this place. The owners dad is lovely and made us feel very comfortable and homely. All the food is made onsite including pizza bases and sauces. Freshest ingredients. Base was the perfect thickness, crusty base and the sauce was delicious homemade tomato sauce. Woodfired pizza for quick service. Salad fresh and ample amount, lovely olive oil dressing. We want to go back just so I can try their other meals. The souvlaki looked amazing and the pastas did too. Our entire meal for the four of us was around $60. We were full and satisfied. Kids loved it. Highly recommended. I love my food. ❤️

Lovely!!. Delicious food, had pizza and risotto takeaway. I wasn't expecting it to be so good but it definitely exceed my expectations. Will be going back!

The best pizza and service in Brisbane!. You guys are the best!!!<br/>My family was craving a good pizza. You can't find that anywhere anymore! Or at least it's really hard to find. <br/>So we picked Sambo's for the location, and for the only one place being open on a lazy Sunday (early) afternoon.<br/>It was 6 of us, and we had the best experience! The service was personal, being a family business, father and son. <br/>Great pizzas! wow! The base, the toppings, the qantity and quality, all fresh, all the best stuff! The menu is mouthwatering just by reading it! <br/>Thank You! Can't wait to go back and try the Musaka, or the pastas, or anything else from the menu!

Amazing!. Wow, just had great souvlaki and amazing pizza! And so close to home! We heard good stories about this restaurant and today we finally tried it ourselves. Everything is very fresh, good value for money, super friendly and fast service. This is now our new favourite restaurant!

The bitterness of being ripped off. We went to Sambo's , we enjoy the food there. This visit was terrible, we took 3 bottles of wine and were told we had to pay $10 corkage per bottle. We drank one bottle but were made to pay $10 corkage on the 2 bottles that were never opened!<br/>The memory of great food lasts briefly, the bitterness of being ripped off lasts forever

Great local pizza! I had the antipasto pizza and the sweet chilli sauce worked perfectly with the arrangement of vegetables and garlic, and the wood fired pizzas bases were cooked beautifully crisp on the out side and nice and soft in the middle, however my partner had half ham and pineapple and half meat lovers and said they were of very low standard. Might be a case of hit and miss.

Amazing food! Hard to find good quality Italian food like this in Brisbane. Very affordable. Recommend the calzone with sweet chilli as an entree. Not much too the restraunt but don't be deceived by looks, you won't be dissapointed. You'll be full when you leave but attempted to squeeze in some gelato! It's so good.

Best Greek food in Brisbane. Seriously beautiful greek food. You can taste they use the freshest of ingredients and the flavours they use work well! Definitely will return! We had great service from one of the older men that work there.

Deliciousness!. I have had pizza from Sambo's countless times and has been a great experience every time! I love their pizza bases (not too thick, not too thin) and their variety of toppings leaves something for everyone. My personal favourite is the Smoked chicken, which is 10 out of 10 and would recommend to everyone!

PERFECT STEAK. So I realise its a woodfried pizza place, but I felt like a steak so I dabbled...<br/><br/>it was perfect mushroom sauce fast service, fresh salad, My wife had the chicken cabanara and raved about it... <br/><br/>awesome place would eat there again in heart beat

Yum!. We had 13th birthday celebration here. It was such a cold night so our party of six sat inside - although the interior lighting and heating could be improved upon, the food more than made up for this. We had the Greek starter platter which was to die for with homemade dips and other Greek treats, followed by a few woodfired pizzas and a pasta dish - not one person could complain about their meal! The ingredients were so fresh and we were grateful to have leftovers for the next day. When it came time to present the cake to the birthday girl the restaurant also presented her with a bowl of 6 small scoops of their Delizia gelato free of charge - you could not find a friendlier restaurant around. Will definitely be returning!

Proper woodfired family owned restaurant, small and cosy, easy location at gumdale shops, great menu but best of all for someone whaling what they eat they're not loaded with oil and grease. Prices reasonable for the high quality.

Sambos is to die for!. Oh WOW!!! We recently moved to the area and have jus spent a month touring Europe. I can safely say that this restaurant took us back to Europe. THe meals are so super fresh so don't expect frozen foods getting reheated or cooked here!! The pasta is to die for, the chicken is super super fresh and the pizza and Souvlaki were just perfecto!!! My boyfriend and I have a little going bet each dinner we have out and we always vote on who picked the better meal, whoever did gets to drink a little more and not drive home. Last night we couldn't decide as both meals were just awesomely good so our champagne wsa left. Thanx Sambo!!! We are definately coming back
