The few Asian places in Toowong that does solid roast pork and duck. The prices are cheap, which is great for uni students. Food came out reasonably fast during lunch time, even when it was quite crowded. Would recommend going if you feel like asian food but not bothered driving to Sunnybank.
Quick to order and getting your food ready,
Affordable range of price with plenty of food options and lunch specials. Some asian drinks are also available from their drinks fridge.
If you are unlucky in finding an off street car park, then try to park at the toowoong shopping village’s undercover carpark and walk up a bit to get there.
Visted to see what their laksa was like almost a year ago and now come here at least once every 2 weeks.
Lineup can take a while and tables can be very busy but it's worth the wait.
All dishes are very good value.
Great food for a great price in a excellent location in Toowong.
The food always is very satisfying along with the friendly and fast service. The Devore also helps set the vibe as well.
Saturday lunch with friends at the local shopping strip. Order at the counter and take your number to the table. They bring food out as it's ready.., my garlic prawns were hot and tasty and as a side I asked for cucumber salad. Delicate and tasty.
My friends had chicken and mushrooms and pork strips as well as vegetable rice with egg.
Meals were hot, nicely presented and well priced. Drinks are available in a cabinet near where you place your order. Seating inside or outside and service was friendly.
It's cheap, the servings are generous and it is delicious. The food is probably loaded with MSG (the flayva ENHANCER!) but I just don't care enough to stop eating here. There's some healthier options too, but me? I like to go hard.
The toowong Jackpot has recently changed their manu to be consistent with other Jackpots. Prices are higher but quality is still good. I'm happy that their introduced my favorite chef tony wok fried chicken.
This is my go to place when I want food quick and within a budget. The portions are generous and the place is clean. Maybe not great Chinese food that I have tasted but definitely edible.
This is such an underated chain of restaurants. I frequently come here with uni friends, and being students, the price is a huge draw. Plus the ability to share, and also the fact its quite delicious! If you're looking for somewhere inexpensive yet fun to take your friends, it doesnt get better than this!
Consistently great food, with an affordable price. Portion sizes are big enough to share around. Sizzling Mongolian Beef is a must-try and the Sweet & Sour Pork is also good.
It is sometimes inconvenient however to have a minimum EFTPOS limit, and occasionally, some of their menu items are unavailable due to it being sold-out.
Overall, great restaurant and it is somewhere I eat regularly!
Have been coming to Jackpot for years and have never had a bad experience. Food is always quick and delicious. Staff are always friendly. Only complaint is that they seem to run out of the roast pork on a regular basis lately. Would definitely recommend a visit.
always a pleasant experience. Service, price and speed are all great. if you want cheap, standard chinese then this is a great option. much prefer to pay under $15 here then what you pay $25 for elsewhere for the same food. always crisp and hot
big portions
cheap
hygienic
great presentation
prompt service
not the best chinese, but way better than just edible
will go back again yes!..............................
Love this place, budget prices and great quality food and the staff are so friendly.
Good sized meals for less than $10 and has plenty of flavor.
Great price for large portions given. Very fast service. The staff are friendly most of the time. Recommend this place if you are after a fast and cheap meal.
Decent chinese restaurant. Some of the food taste good while some isn't. Not the most authentic restaurant. It is so different from chinese food that i had in beijing
If I'm ever after a really quick, cheap, tasty bite to eat in the western suburbs, Jackpot Noodles is a go to. I popped in last night around 8.30 after an event near by, I felt like something with veggies and nothing too rich which was easy to find on the simple menu (with pictures).
Jackpot has a range of meat/veggie meals all between $6.50- $10, so cheap! I ordered Kong Pao Chicken but swapped the chicken for tofu (which they happily did, no extra cost) while my partner ordered BBQ Pork and Soy Steamed Chicken. The Kong Pao was tasty and the serving was generous (a large plate full of veggies and tofu, rice is ordered on the side). The veggies were basic (onion, corn, capsicum) but fresh, I guess that is where they save a bit on price. Food came out in 5 min, hot and steaming straight from the kitchen. My partners meal was simpler to mine (and even healthier) and it seemed to go down a treat, though it could have done with a bit more sauce.
You can also find Jackpot in the CBD and West End.
Highlights: Super speedy, cheap, tasty, healthy options, convenient locations.
Note: Don't expect anything too fancy!
YUMMY. Very reasonable prices, and quick service. Perfect for uni students in the area.
Cheap and great!. I love this place! It is super cheap and the meal is quite large! The food comes out very fast and the service is always very friendly! I cannot understand paying triple the price elsewhere when it is cheaper and just as good here! Definitely a good option if you want a quick, laid back meal over dining in a restaurant with a group.
On the fence. I'm on the fence with Jackpot, some days it's amazing & other days it's below par. I always force myself to try new things when I go, I just haven't found a 'regular go to' dish as of yet.
Great food at a great price. There's a wide variety to choose from and there are both healthy and unhealthy options. My favorites whenever I'm there are the Garlic Butter Chicken, the Taiwanese Drunken Chicken or the Seafood Laksa. Great for a casual, quick, dine in or take away meal.
Price like no other! Jack.... Price like no other!
Jackpot has to be one of the best value for money Asian restaurants around Brisbane. The food was very nice and staff are friendly and welcoming. 3 main meals with rice and two bottles of water came to a total of $30.10!! Awesome value, will be back here again very soon!
Great price, easy meals. I have been to jackpot a few times now. It's cheap, easy and quick. Some meals I found a tad bland but that's why they have different sauces next to the counter so you can adjust it to your taste. They are always accommodating when wanting to share meals. They have renovated and looks much nicer than before.
Solid, cheap and efficient! Everyone seems to diss jackpot but I love it. Ordered the stir fried pork belly with cabbage and chilli. It was great... Good amount of pork belly and heat! I defs recommend this place to anyone who wants a no nonsense meal
Food is priced right. Cheap Cheap, but it is priced right, and is reasonable for quick takeaway.
The price makes it awesome. Food is pretty good, for the prices it is outstanding. Service is efficient and friendly enough. I like this place enough to keep coming back when I am feeling poor and in the mood for Chinese.
Surprisingly Nice. I tried this place after the other chinese restaurants I go to were all closed down for xmas for a few weeks/public holidays. The fitout is great, the place looks clean and tidy, good location, staff understand what you are asking for, I got a takeaway and it was about an 8/10. Sauce was a little on the thin side but food tasted very good. Very affordable, main meal was $10, big container of fried rice an extra $3.50 and also boiled rice $1. Can't fault the place. Least it has a website with the menu etc too which is not all that common.
Only negative I can find is that the menu is slightly limited, ok for those who like the noodle/asian type meals but I like Chinese style so there weren't a huge amount to choose from - but some good favourites so it's all good :)
Will go to this place again.
Quick and easy. I don't know if this place is necessarily healthy, but it's certainly quick and convenient.
Great outdoor dining area (can be a little hot in summer) and not too expensive.
...suggested that food is just as much an enriching social activity as well as a biological need.
What to say? It‘s Jackpot.
Already a Toowong institution, this fast, friendly, value for money eatery is popular with students, professionals, and anyone who likes Chinese fare. It‘s pretty much become my go-to restaurant. I live around the corner, so usually get takeaway, but dine in with friends and family when we want something delicious and inexpensive.
Just a great local resource.
Have all good things to say about this simple, yet accommodating eatery.
With restaurant facade, and nice outdoor dining option, the restaurant provides plenty for the diner.
I have been a regular, with particular requests, and they have always been accommodating.
The flavours are amazing
Thank you
I love this place and always enjoy the food. I have been visiting since they first opened.
However when I visited recently they were under staffed. It was not the fault of the excellent and hard-working staff that I had to wait quite a while for my table to be cleared of the plates left behind by the previous diners, but it was annoying to have to look at the mess for so long.
Just one more minor thing. Music chosen by staff tends to be work music rather than ambient. This is common in restaurants and I am used to it. The best of music for dining is chilled out instrumental music without driving bass.
