One of the best chicken cashew nut stir fries I’ve had. Reasonable price and rice was $4 for a whole container amazing size and flavours so tasty!! Visiting overnight from Sunshine Coast. Glad I chose this for dinner takeaway!

One of my favorite restaurants, great for lunch or dinner. Food never ever disappoins, always enjoy every dish, and I've tried a lot... Staff are fantastic...family run business.....only wish they had more comfortable chairs...

Mine was good but the other 2 of 5 people in our group said the food was too sweet and not able to finish half the food. They need to focus on being more authentic rather than changing to be more westernised with no spice.

How to enjoy Tosakan: 1. Sit outside, your ears will thank you for it. 2. Don't order an entree (your main meal order goes to the end of the queue and will be an hour late). 3. Don't expect a free drink or discount when your meal is an hour late (you won't get it). I hope you enjoy Tosakan.

So yummy! Lovely service. A bit pricey but worth it.

Friends of ours love this place... then again they like the club across the road too... The Only really decent quality Thai Ive had in Brissy is from Siri.

Tosakan is my all time favourite Thai restaurant in Brisbane. I judge all other Thai restaurants to the Massaman Beef and Pad Thai from Tosakan as they are just consistently amazing. The meals are priced well and are good value, the curries are thick and everything tastes very fresh.
The staff are friendly and efficient and the small restaurant has a friendly but calm atmosphere.

Tasty dishes. Vegetables not overcooked. Good textures. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Lovely outdoor eating option.

CURRENTLY OUR FAVOURITE THAI RESTAURANT!!!

We love this Thai restaurant - they are always busy and have lots of take away orders aswell as dine in guest, yet still manage to cook up our meals within 10-15 mins of ordering. We only ever order takeaway and they get it correct and cooked fast every time. Our order is always fresh and tastes delicious - so many flavours !! Food is priced reasonable, staff are friendly and you can understand them clearly when speaking. We will definitely be coming back for more !!

Just home from a dinner visit to this little favourite snuck in Brighton Village shopping centre! We made an early break to get there for 5pm knowing how stowed out this local favourite can get!

Staff on fine form and very attentive!

We plumped for a share of entree Ban Krib Tod... Followed by a couple of stir frys... Beef with oyster sauce and chicken with fresh chilli... Got the chilli bumped up for heat to med-hot! SO FRESH!! Yum!

Granted we had the restaurant to ourselves and got 120% attention and food cooked on demand... As we left the phone was ringing hot for take aways and customers arriving to settle into the night of food experience!

We suspect.... Another busy night for BAAN PHAYA THAI

Not sure what restaurant the last reviewers were at but I LOVE this place. I eat there or get takeaway 1-2 times per week. The staff are always so friendly and the food is amazing. Always flavour packed. Service isn't as fast as other restaurants but it's defiantly worth the wait for the food. Also Byo is cheap so bring your favourite bottle of wine and defiantly done

Terrible. Ordered at chicken pad Thai, 4 spring rolls & 4 satay chicken skewers at 6:40pm. It arrived at 8:30pm. Eta was 7:40. It's lovayed in Brighton and I live in Brighton. Tasted like it had been sitting there skewers super dry, spring rolls old. Pad Thai okay.

Used to be great but no more. Live locally and have eaten herr many times over last 2 to 3 years. Generally it has been good to outstanding.

No more.

My wife and I just had without doubt the worst Thai we have ever had. I almost certain the vegetables came out of a frozen packet from Woollies. The Thai beef salad os not worthy of a comment.
Can someone please open anothet Thai restaurant in Brighton.

Apalling. Service is disgusting. Food didn't even come with rice - Expensive and delivery was over 1 hour - Don't eat there!

Don't bother. Just waited an hour and 15 minutes for two fairly disappointing soups and a serve of flimsy, sweaty, spongelike fish cakes. Dead ordinary.

What customer service?. DISAPPOINTED!!!!
Previously, these guys have been awesome - delicious, fresh food and lovely staff, but over the last couple of months their food has been slipping. And then tonight - well, they have lost me and my family as customers.
We turned up to order some takeaway - there was one table with 2 people eating in and 5 TA orders before ours. Our meal took 45 mins to get made and in that time three other tables arrived and were served their meals and an additional three take aways arrived and ordered AFTER us and all received their dinner before us. We consistently presented so that they could see us waiting - applied no pressure, and yet zero care was given. And when we FINALLY received our food, we were not even offered an explanation or apology for their clear mistakes of either pushing us back or forgetting our order (which also had a very clear time of ordering on it).
I would have been happy with a sincere apology and yet received nothing, therefore they lose my support as my local. Very, very unhappy.

It's ok and I don't mind it but I have defiantly had better. Just make suer that when you call before you pay you ask how long as twice now I have paid only to be told it will be 45 or 60 minutes but maybe this is a sign of just how much others rate this place , that they out up with it

Great Food. Went there expecting something ordinary but it was the best Thai I have tasted for a long time, even my wife who is probably one of the worst food critics loved her meal.
Service was great, Food was great and served in relatively short time.
Only small negative- we asked for all food to come at same time but it didn't, but I can live with that..... big Tick from us and will definitely be going back.
Don't bother with others around the area you have the best right there.

Waste of money !!!!. Don't know what the fuzz is about? After reading all the reviews, i am so dissapointed! We went there last week and found that the food was so bland and we had to wait so long for it. Service was also bad with no apologies for their mistakes. Very rude! I've had better Thai food elsewhere. We won't be going back and won't recommend this place. For those who want to try, beware, you might get your head bitten off by one of the waitress!

Service appalling - never going back. Experience #1 - ordered takeaway and not inly did we have to wait over 1.5 hours for delivery, they got our order wrong.
Experience #2 - attempted to order delivery on a Friday night and was told "sorry, we aren't doing delivery tonight". Ok, whatever.
Experience #3 - ordered takeaway, as delivery not available (again!) and was told it would be 30 minutes. I arrived to collect my meal and was still waiting more than 30 minutes later. Many other unhappy customers also waiting a long time for meals. No apology and refused to give refund for the inconvenience.

I've given this place 3 chances and 3 times their service has been so appalling. The food has been quite good but not good enough to put up with their awful service. They need to show some respect for customers. Never again will they get a cent from me.

Our 'Go-to' Thai. Takeaways ready on time and delicious. Have lived in the area quite a few years and the best we've found.

Foodcrit. Very dissapointed. Will never go back again and will not recommend it to anyone. Staff was very very rude. Food was also slow waited over an hour ! When it finally arrived, it tasted disgusting. The other dish we recieved was also wrong. After telling the staff about the wrong dish, she didn't even say sorry but instead, gave us a dirty look and was annoyed that we complained ! We waited for that second dish at least 45 mins. By that time, the rice was cold. We tried to get the staff's attention for more rice, but they ignored us because they were too busy yapping behind the counter. And what pissed me off was all this happened when they weren't even busy. There are plenty of other thai restaurants better than this place. I definately NOT recommend this one.

Love it great food and service. We have been here 3 times so far it is always great food and atmosphere, the service is wonderful, you are able to see into the kitchen and it is all spotless.

We have tried quite a few of the dishes and never been disappointed reasonably priced.

Our favourite place to eat in the area

Try the chicken pad thai. Chicken pad thai is a sautied chicken with vegetables and peanuts. Its got a good taste its not spicykid friendly.

Served HOT water instead of chilled!
Undercooked chicken for entree insead of cooked!!
Green curry tasted nothing like green curry!
I requested no pepper or bamboo as I'm allergic all I could taste and see was pepper and it had more bamboo than anything else! They made it a second time SAME ISSUE minus the bamboo and plain rice was stone cold!!
There massaman curry was flavour less and bland!
Will never eat there again nor recommend it. Horrible service to add!

First time I have been here and so far been waiting for 45 min for takeaway watching them put meals in and out of a microwave. The food will have to pretty special to salvage my experience.

Excellent food. Had a great range and the quality was beautiful. Much better than any Thai over the other side of the bridge. Really impressed.

Always great. Best Thai ever!

Great Thai!!. This place is immaculate and the food is awesome! The staff are nice too....
Gastrognome
Food was beautiful, but service was painfully slow. 40 mins before the entrees came out & about the same wait for mains.. And there were only 3 tables occupied (11 people in restaurant)!! Emphasis seems to be on takeaways.. everyone els has to wait. They need at least one extra cook & one more waiting person on the floor during busy times.. even the takeaway customers were waiting 1/2 an hour plus!
Adam
Delicious. An excellent addition to Brighton Village. We have only ever ordered take-away and it is always delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

"Thai spicy". We have had about 6 to 7 takeaways, no disapointments so far. Haven't tried the whole menu yet. Their Larb Gai (chicken mince salad) in spicy mode is yum, lots of well balanced flavours happening. The Satay chicken sticks hit the spot peanut sauce wise, the fish cakes & dipping sauce go down well. Will be back.

Good new Thai restaurant. Been here 4 times since it opened around August 2012, because my kids love it. The dining setup is fairly basic but the food is generally very good to excellent. I particularly like the curry puffs. We do find that food quality of some things can vary, so that the fish curry can be good on one visit, a bit ordinary on the next, then good again. About the only thing I would really not recommend is Crying Tiger, which is just barbequed steak.

A problem used to be that the body corporate closed the toilets very early with no access for restaurant patrons, but on our last visit (Jan 2013) the restaurant had a key. We've generally found service to be pretty good despite the takeaway trade, although we heard on Valentines Day there was a line out the door, so it can get busy.

Its not licensed, so you have to get to the nearby bottle shop before it closes at 7pm. Baan Phra at Brighton and Lana Thai at Aspley are probably the best Thai restaurants this part of the northside but we think Baan Phra overall has better food.
