Friendly attentive staff. Plenty of space inside, with extra seating out the back. Interesting healthy menu. I enjoyed the wholemeal pancakes, but would would have liked more fruit and less pancakes. Coffee was good. I have recommended to others and will return.
Rose and Edward is our favourite cafe. The food and coffee is superb and the team running the cafe are friendly, efficient and unfailing in their efforts to make your visit the best it can be.
I highly recommend a visit.
Explored this espresso café this morning and I was the only table at the time of 7:00am. For a Sunday morning, it seems to be quiet but may be the locals habitually late for the brekkie. Ordered a flat white and a Roasted Beef roll. Service and passion were very good from the judgment of hospitable attitude (already prepared the jug of water for me) from the barista and also his concentration on pouring action while he was preparing the flat white for me. Needless to say, the coffee with Elixir did not let me down. It did have very nice aroma and perfect strength for my palate. After around five minutes, the roast beef roll was on the table and I was sure that this time again I should not able to finish from my visual judgment of the portion. The roll was sandwiched with slices of roasted beef, spinach and tomatoes. Taste was good but it was just too much for me and I wish I can finish the dish for my lunch next time.
A very tasty lunch last Friday! Fresh tasty food, prompt service, excellent coffee... no worries! Will definitely be back soon... thank you!
Can only comment on coffee and service but both are excellent. I love the almond milk they use, coffee is always good and service is excellent. Good amount of seating with room for prams (very important to me!)
Fantastic local, I'm so pleased this is my closest café, it's fantastic.
Good coffee. Light foood and treats. Good service. Tick they've got it right. Been several times and never disappointed. Lunches are creative and perfect t for me.
Rose and Edward has been there for a while, so it was well and truly time to suss it out. It is surprisingly large inside, a bit Tardis-like. There is an undercover area plus a small courtyard out the back. It has been said before that mm mm I have rather a loud voice, so when we entered, heads turned. The charming lady staff member brought us water and menus tout suite, and even though it is counter service, she took our coffee orders at the same time. The Favourite is a fabulous dish of chunky parmesan hash cake, smoked salmon, asparagus, poached egg and house made hollandaise sauce. And it's gluten free if you're worried about that sort of thing. This really hit the spot! The asparagus was nice and crunchy (in a good way), the egg only a tiny bit overcooked (sorry guys) and everything fresh and filling. The sauce was light and flavourful; always a plus when house made too.
Good coffee, and quick, friendly service... That's all I can comment on for now. But looking forward to come back another day and try the new menu.
