Amazing dinner here tonight at Morningside Thai. The eggplant special and the grilled prawns were our favourite. My mum has difficulty eating the spicy drunken noodle due to her health condition and the lovely waitress offered to replace this meal with a less spicy noodle dish (Pad See Ew) which was absolutely wonderful for my mum. They didn’t charge for the original spicy meal either. Great food and great service!
Tasty flavoursome and good value Thai. j would highly recommend, you really won’t be disappointed. The pad Thai and cashew nut are so yummy. Enjoy!
We enjoyed a delicious Friday night take away dinner from Morningside Thai Restaurant. The food arrived promptly and it was hot. We had spring rolls, chicken curry and sweet and sour chicken- all were lovely. We look forward to ordering again! Yum!
An awesome little place for a relaxed dinner. The pad Thai never fails to be delicious and decent portion sizes. The outside area with fairy lights is really nice to sit during night time whereas inside is a little more cramped.
I get take away from here regularly. I definitely think it's the best Thai in the local area. Generous with meat and veg in their curries and stir-fries. Great flavours and perfect amount of spice

Came here on a quiet Tuesday night with a friend. Very dead, only 1 other table beside ours. Got seated quickly and menus brought out to us. They have a very extensive menu with a lot of favourites and a few dishes I had no idea what they were about. We settled for the curry puffs and fish cakes as entrée, a green chicken curry and fried fish fillets with lemon sauce and a black sticky rice for dessert.

The waitress brought our drinks and a plate of free prawn crackers. Our entrées followed shortly after. The curry puffs were probably the best ones I have ever had in the whole of Brisbane. They were crisp on the outside and mushy on the inside. The thing I hated about curry puffs in the past was the filling. It was either too sweet or too savoury. This place definitely had the flavours right. It was a light hint of sweetness packed with a lot of punch. Absolutely loved the curry puffs!
Their fish cake wasnt anything amazing. Was a bit dry actually. The dipping sauce was good however. It had quite a bit of flavour to it.
The curry was fantastic. Flavour was good. Not too spicy. Although the meat was a bit dry and over cooked. The fish was nothing special. Tasted like fish bites from a seafood shop. The lemon dip was a bit too over empowering. The black sticky rice was good. Albeit a bit too sweet for my liking. It was a good texture and had a good mouth feel.
Their coconut rice is an absolute must. A slight hint of sweetness which blended well with the curry dish.
Over all it was a good meal. We even had enough for left overs.

As my local Thai, I have had many a meal hear both takeaway and dine in. The decor and setting is as would be expected of a suburban Thai place, but the food is excellent. More often then not I go takeaway and dine in front of the tv 😁
I've had takeaway from here before and while it was good, I wasn't overly impessed - but then I tried the recommendations. Wow. My husband who 'doesn't like Thai' suddenly likes Thai. Absolutely delicious. Try the roasted duck and gourmet chicken.
I dined here in a group of five on a busy Saturday evening. It was busier than usual in the dining room and the take away service was also busy.
Service was a little disorganised with the wrong meal coming out to one member of our group, and another member of our group waiting for much longer for their meal than the rest of the group.
Gripes aside, the food is always delicious. I have attached photos of the grilled prawns and stir fried vegetables with basil.
We still come back and it's a favourite of mine for takeaway.
This is my go to local Thai. I love that they deliver and they never disappoint. Meals are always consistently tasty. My only criticism would be that I wish they would put more tofu in their vegetarian dishes.
We love it. We went there last month for dinner on easter monday. we love the food so much and agreed it's the best thai food in brisbane so far. we ordered red curry and pad thai also thai ice tea drink. everything was so perfect. we will come back to try more dishes!
My favorite Thai good in Brisbane. Staff are friendly and food is always hot and delicious. Never disappoints! With a lot of mediocre Thai around these days, this place is fantastic and always popular!

Always good. I've been to Morningside Thai numerous times, only take away so far. They are always friendly and the food is always so lovely and satisfying. We've had spring rolls, Thai fish cakes, stir fry and curries - they've all been great.
I haven't reviewed this place previously but thought I should sing their praises as Yellow Mama up the road has really high ratings on here, but I found their food terribly disappointing. Try Morningside Thai instead!

Absolutely love this little thai restaurant. Consistently good and friendly staff - we always get the curry puffs, pad Thai and peanut stir fry with duck. The stirfry Is by far my favourite. Highly recommend.

Beautiful food, fantastic service. We had the Green crispy pork, which was absolutely beautiful. It came with broccoli and beans in a wonderful sauce. We also had the crispy chicken, which was also beautifully cooked. The great mocktails to drink were great too. The price is very reasonable. We could not fault this wonderful restaurant. You now have new regular customers 🙏
If you're looking for restaurants, located in Morningside, and selling Thai food, why not try the aptly named: "Morningside Thai Restaurant". While I have this establishment a strong 0/5 for naming originality, I award a strong 5 stars for food! I remember walking in, not feeling too hungry, thinking: "Let's just order 1 curry and some crispy chicken" for 2 people as a small meal. When the curry alone came out, I knew I'd ordered more than I could bargain for. The beef masaman was amazing, and the crispy chicken was supreme. Great job guys, and I enjoyed finishing the masaman for breakfast the next day. Love your work.
Excellent Thai! Some if the best Thai takeout I've had. Not loaded with sugar, curries nice and creamy, pad see ew perfect combo of charred taste and not overly sweet. Super fresh and so tasty!
Great food and service, large portions
LOVELY Thai restaurant, pleasant staff and a nice atmosphere, the food is made fresh and fast. They have a fantastic lunch special menu with all your favorites dishes. I had the Massaman Curry and my wife had Tofo and veggie stirfry with basil and chili. The place was clean and well presented and is spacious enough for large groups.
Our eldest daughter took us along to this extremely fine Thai restaurant. One has choices of indoor or outdoor dining, not that it mattered in the end, as the food flavours were exquisitely dancing with our taste buds throughout the ensuing delightful experience. Would Highly recommend this establishment to anyone with adventure for Asian delights and surprises.
We will be revisiting in the near future, highly recommend you see for yourself.
