Review Briki Espresso - Brisbane

When I came here I had the most wonderful waitress, her name was Zoe. We had the pancakes and ice-cream and they where wonderful. The complementary water was very fresh and cold. Overall I have loved this experience and will come again soon.

One of the best breakfast spot in the area. I like the hospitality and atmosphere.

I always to bring my own pulp lid. It no problem to fit with their biocup. Hope they would change the conventional ps lid to eco lid. Nice coffee with fresh bake croissant and open at 6am to have a good start as im early person

Ordered a fried egg on toast at 8.40 Wednesday morning - it arrived at 8.59. Very slow service. Woman said “we’re very busy” I said “you need more staff”. “Can I get you anything else” “no thanks” not at that price!

Excellent cafe with really yummy food - wonderful coffee, delectable Greek sweets and a fab Mediterranean feel to this place - plenty of parking - great service !

We must have caught the barista on a bad day because he seemed way too preoccupied to even acknowledge our presence. The coffee was OK nice & full bodied brew, however the cup was the smallest one I have had other than when I order an espresso shot!

My friend and I were walking to maths when he told me 'I have a craving for gelato,' and I asked 'feeling irresponsible' and he replied 'nah, better not.'<br/><br/>5 minutes later in Maths we were looking up ice cream shops in St Lucia and came across this gem, finding that there was a bus every 5-10 minutes, and we were there in no time.<br/><br/>From our arrival the staff were friendly and helpful in our quest for quality iced confection, offering us tastes of their wide array of flavours. My friend got 3 scoops for 7 dollars, which is about average for gelato, and this was above-average product (which I will elaborate on later). I got a thickshake for the same price (Milkshakes were 6 which is a little expensive for a milkshake, but 7 is reasonable for a thickshake and they were high quality) We weren't there for food but we gave the menu a funk-soul-brother and nothing really lit our fires, but we wanted ice cream and we're not really after a food place. The cakes and desserts in the fridge looked good, though. We aren't coffee people so we couldn't really judge, will update when we bring a coffee-drinking friend.<br/><br/>My friend's flavours were Dark Chocolate, which was great - properly dark -, Lemon (a surprisingly good combination) and Kinder Surprise, for something different, and it was a beautiful caramelly chocolate. My thickshake was made with my choice of gelato flavours - snickers and dark chocolate - which gave a great choc-peanut butter flavour and was delicious. I was hopeful at first of being served the shake in the big metal mixing cup, which is sadly falling out of favour despite its superior size and cooling properties, however the glass I was served it in was still sizeable. We sat and played cards while enjoying our purchases, overall very satisfied.<br/><br/>It was delicious and we will be back, Briki quickly gaining favour as my Choice Uni Cafe.<br/><br/>4.5/5, would fail Math1050 again.

So glad I get to call this cafe my local. Great coffee and the smashed avo and feta on toast is to die for! <br/><br/>The team are always friendly and happy to see you. Highly recommend a visit!

I am a coffee fanatic and must say Briki consistently produces one of the best cups in Brisbane. Love it!

Soo good! Not a huge range, but everything they do, they do very well. Bacon eggs and snickers thick shake are a must!

Love Briki. My husband and I are regular Briki visitors and find that the quality of the food is only surpassed by the excellence of their service. So friendly and how does Savva remember everyone's coffee order? Keep up the good work Briki.

Consistancy. I have been in this cute little coffee several times and I can now say that I loved the consistency. That is a key point for me when it comes to food and (specifically) coffee.

European Treat!. Reasons to Return : The coffee. The food. The gelati. The greek sweets. The service. All delicious and amazing at this little place in St Lucia. I'm not easily impressed but we keep coming back here! Sava the owner is so lovely and makes the best coffee in Brisbane. Also be sure to try the baklava cheesecake. Pure Heaven!

Been here twice and sadly the coffee is bland and the breakfast was just okay. I guess it suits the locals.

IF YOU WANT RUDE SERVICE .... We live just around the corner and have been to Briki on many occasions. Today there were three of us for lunch. When our order arrived we noticed the haloumi which we specifically asked for was missing. We asked for it. We were told by the waiter - who hadn't actually taken our order - that we'd got what we ordered and would have to pay extra. His manner was blunt and rude. My father understandably became upset. The waiter told my father to just calm down and not "disrespect" him and that he didn't need our business - which is great because with a waiter like that we won't be going back!!
The Constant Diner
Great!. These guys have been at it only a short time but are committed to good food and service. A great experience, both coffee and food, every time. Don't close down, Briki!

Love it. Such a good little cafe, gelato (and the resulting thick shakes) are the best. Great selection of drinks and sweet treats. Not a huge range of larger meal options but all very fresh, well priced and delicious.

Best in Brisbane. Found the proprietors to be friendly and the prices fair. Best of all the food was always fresh and tasted of the Mediterranean roots of the owners, while the coffee was always just as I like it. Will be returning for more when we get back to St Lucia.
