Review Mylk + Ko - Brisbane

GJ D
Good food, but small and bad social distancing The food here was actually really good, with plenty of vegan options and options for meat-eaters too. Coffee was also decent. Unfortunately, they do not allow bookings, it is walk in only. Extremely busy, and lots of small tables with little social distancing going on. They also do not cater well for nut allergies specifically (though most other common dietary requirements had options). Photos feature Apple Crumble Porridge, Chilli Crab Scramble and Avo Great Day

Love coming to Mylk + ko for a coffee and scroll to take away or going in for brunch. Food is always great and service is quick. The menu often rotates with new seasonal things to try. One of my fave Brisbane brunch spots

Wow… what a lovely little find this cafe is. My daughter & I went for brunch yesterday. The menu is extensive and has many alternate options. People who have dietary requirements are definitely covered here. I had the hash bene- so good, that house made hash brown, kale & bacon with poached eggs is an amazing combo. My daughter had the popper waffle: bittersweet waffle with an amazing house made caramel, seasonal berries, strawberry meringue & a raspberry jam. Coffee was good also, unique smoothie options, nice staff. This will become a new regular for us

🌿 Service - 5/5 🌿 Coffee - 5/5 🌿 Food - 5/5 Smoothie bowl heaven !! Everything here is amazing. I love this place. I also love their Instagram and how engaging it is. Props to the owner 👏🏼

Went to try out @mylkko for the first time with Wifey 🥳🎊🤗 . Have seen soo many yummy pics come up on my feed about this place, so we finally decided to pop in to visit. It’s a neat little cafe located just before the New Farm Park area and tables both inside and out 👍🏻 . We ordered: • Chilli Crab Scramble with extra avo • Rainbow Bowl with Halloumi 😊 . Wifey’s Chilli scrambled came served on a very yummy, buttery & soft croissant. She enjoyed it a lot and the crab was a subtle flavour but could definitely taste it there 👍🏻 . My Rainbow Bowl had a nice marinated eggplant, which I’m not usually a huge fan of but this one was done really well and tasted great. The curry hummus (i think that’s what it was) was nice for me but Wifey didn’t like the flavour lol 🥴 . All in all a nice place that we’ll be back to try more of 🥳🤩

This is my favourite cafe in Brisbane! They have such a great menu and their service is always amazing. I have been going since they opened and have never had a bad experience. For a local cafe they go above and beyond to create authentic food... their açai bowls are unbeatable!!

The food is to die for, best Acaci bowls in Brisbane. Fast and friendly service. Super filling meals. You won’t regrets trying this place out.

Hands down my absolute favourite acai bowls I've ever tried and my favourite place to go for breakfast! I have been here over 5 times and have never been let down by the happy/friendly/amazing staff or the incredibly delicious food! I'm still making my way through their delicious menu but so far every single item I've had has been amazing! With the bali Bliss acai bowl being my number one so far! I love MYLK+KO <3

Love this little cafe in New Farm. Everything is made fresh in store and the menu has great options for everyone! The dishes are healthier versions of some of the treats we have grown up with so keep that in mind when ordering! They may not taste exact but they aren’t, that’s the beauty of them and it comes down to personal preference 😊 always visit on my trips up to Brisbane from Melbourne!

First time to explore this cafe. Walked in the dining area and asked for a table to dine-in this morning.
Service is extremely friendly and so as the chef behind the counter.
Asked if there would be any croissant available and the answer was “just ready from the oven”. Wow! What a lucky day! I ordered just a plain croissant with jam & butter and a flat white.
Have not checked what type of brew making up the coffee but it is bold and smells good. Croissant is no doubt the hero; together with the home-made jam, this light brekkie deserves BIG TICK👍

A humble cafe based in New Farm that boasts organic, dietary friendly options and a modern funky vibe.
The acai bowl was perfectly blended with healthy portions of granola and fruit.
The pumpkin fritters were a very generous size, a proper meal for hungry travellers!
I recommend the fresh orange and tumeric juice for a refreshing, healthy buzz to complement the fresh food.
Price is average but I was satisfied with the serving sizes. Beautiful presentation. The avo smash might do well with some extra kick like dukka or something else to give it that push to a great dish.

I had my first ever turmeric latte and açai bowl. The latte smelt amazing but it was fairly spicy. As I haven’t tried it anywhere else I don’t know if it’s always like this. The topping on the açai bowl was decent but I would have liked and expected there to be a bit more. Would like to come back and try the raspberry ripe waffles and a smoothie.

One of the best brunch spots in Brisbane! Incredible coffee, wholesome food and a great atmosphere. Staff are always so hospitable and friendly!!

The best açai bowls around! Amazing service and creative delicious meals.
Honestly the most iconic açai bowls in Brisbane!! Raw treats on the top are always a must!!

Came to try out this cafe for brunch! I had the cookie dough bowl and it was pretty delicious! The servings for all the food were pretty decent for the price paid. My friends had difficulty finishing their eggs benny and bacon bagel. Service was alright too.

Mylk + Ko is a trendy New Farm cafe. I went with four friends on a Saturday morning after the gym. It was full of funky 20-something’s. We picked Mylk because of its location and it’s impressive açai bowls. Half of our group complained that Mylk was too pretentious, but it really is a standard trendy New Farm-esque breakfast spots.
It can get very noisy when it is busy so we sat outside which was nice. The food was okay. The service was limited to taking coffee orders and running food. The food was average prices for that part of town. I thought the coffee was really great. All in all, a good spot, but not for everyone. Would recommend for the açai bowls.

I was strolling around merthyr village then decided to have something to eat jn mylk+ko. I was interested in their bowl. So i tried the island bliss. The food presentation was beautiful. It was full of colour. The bowl was also refreshing and satisfying. The granola was exceptional! What a nice experience

Relaxed atmosphere and quick and friendly service.
Very good Dirty Turmeric Latte and good waffle. Not too sweet and heavy :) I love the use of flowers, fruit and a little crunch.

Went back 2 weeks after and tried the new blueberry hotcakes. Loved them! Great texture, no unhealthy and unnecessary add ons and quick service!
Absolutely amazing açai bowl 10/10! Instagram feed showcases the beautiful colours and flavours involved with all the bowls & dishes. Will be back 👌

Went here yesterday for late lunch. Had beetroot latte with soy milk which was nice. The one I had was lemington flavour, which was average, I thought they gave me the wrong one lol it tasted just like berry flavour. But the snickers flavour was good, anyway it was alright overall.
Linna (Gluten Free)
overall: 3.9/5
gluten free options: 4/5
food taste: 4/5
ambience: 4.5/5
customer service: 4/5
pricing vs quality: 3/5

a lot of gluten free options which is great. actually wanted to try their brownie waffles but they said they ran out yesterday so :(

ended up getting a snickers açai bowl with ordinary granola (since their oats and chocolate granola aren’t gluten free). it didn’t taste like snickers at all (from what i remember back in the days when i could actually eat gluten and dairy). did like the açai, nice and thick. also liked the chocolate; not too fond of the coconut yogurt they added bc it didn’t rly add any flavour to the bowl. but i loved the ordinary granola! makes me want to go buy some at a supermarket and make my own. overall tasted like a banana chocolate smoothie but with more texture and i did like it but i wouldn’t get it again.

i tried the non contaminated part of my friends lamington açai bowl and i actually liked it a lot more! probably because of the zesty berry flavour, which i’m a fan of :”)

didn’t try the pumpkin porridge because it’s not gluten free.

service was friendly, ambience was nice. saw a husky and a pug and i love cute dogs in cafes (they were in the outside area tho). anyway great place and i’ll definitely come back to try more menu items out if i’m in the area

One thing Mylk + Co deliver well is their extensive menu of Acai style bowls. I'm not an Acai bowl fan however even Mylk+Cos menu left me tempted to be swayed.
Prices perhaps a little on the steeper side, however quality isn't left too short.
Rob
I'm not into the Acai stuff so had a typical eggs breaky with the veggie delight and the pink juice and they were both great. Probably should have ordered it with some toast though. Although the quality of the food was good the prices are quite high for breakfast and their bottled tap water wasn't chilled.

Great service, great food and good vegan options! Love it.
Plenty of healthy options
Try the loaded toast and raw cacao nutella hot choc 💛

After a great Sunday walk around New Farm, was keen to check out MYLK + KO on Merythr Rd. They have a great menu from Acai bowls to eggs, I choose the Ferrero Acai bowl with cocoa granola, yoghurt, banana and coconut. A great taste and flavours all in one bowl, my partner choose sourdough with falafel, with beetroot purée, roast pumpkin and avocado, this was seriously a good dish. Coffee was also spot on and I enjoyed the strong flavour of mine. Service was great and this place is relatively new, but was pretty full and more people arriving as we were leaving. I really enjoy everything from our visit and would highly recommend if you are in the area. Also the menu is an all day menu,

I have been wanting to visit Mylk and Co for soOoo long and I can finally check it off my list. My friend and I were looking for a nice afternoon tea and I knew that we were near so we decided to pop in.
We shared a cookie crunch slice and I had the nutella hot chocolate and my friend had the raw cocao hot chocolate (both with almond milk). Firstly, the raw slice was amazing!! The texture was perfect and it was delicious. I need to try the other flavours asap!! We both enjoyed our hot chocolates, I was warmed instantly. I've never tried a vegan nutella before and it was surprisingly delicious.
Overall, we had good service and were really happy with the slice and drinks. I hope to be back soon, I really want to try some of their breakfast menu!!
Eat For Your Life
I helped catching a cockroach when i was there. Just so you know.........
Why does it have to be 140 character long. What else do i say to make it longer?

Was so excited to visit here- got the Bircher crumble which had really beautiful flavours but unfortunately it didn't hit the spot how I thought it would. The chai masala latte was horrible- super watery and bland. Hopefully this is just a one off because I've heard raving reviews!
Brisbane Foodie
The service is terrible. I have been twice now. On the first occasion, we waited over 25 minutes for our coffees, and I ordered peanut butter on toast. I was given enough peanut butter to (lightly!) spread it on one piece of toast. When I asked for more peanut butter for my second piece of toast, the waiter who delivered it to our table asked for $1 "because you have to pay for it". It wasn't the cost, more the principle - if you order peanut butter on toast, there should be sufficient peanut butter for two slices. On the second occasion, I waited over 15 minutes for a coffee (on a quiet morning). The barista, who was the only staff member in sight, took my order and didn't even mutter a hello. When she brought my coffee to me, she stood in front of me holding it out without a word. I then left the cafe, only to realise my coffee order was wrong. Wouldn't recommend.

Great coffee and fresh fit out. Staff were super friendly and attentive to our needs on a busy weekend. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

Mylk & Ko was by far the worst food I have ever eaten - and "eaten" is a long shot given I actually spat the savoury waffles back into my napkin!
The inexperience of the owners/people in charge exudes through their slow service, mainly pre-prepared meals (with relatively little cooking, perhaps only warming involved) and overpriced "it" dishes, which in both cases for the avocado on toast and eggs benedict fell grossly short of the mark. Undercooked, garlic overload, tiny portions and blatant use of sub-par store-bought beetroot hummus. A terrible experience which was only somewhat recouped by the 2nd round of breakfast we consumed elsewhere.

My banana bread was burnt so i asked for a replacement, they gave me a smaller slice instead. Given their whole loaf of bread is burnt, they shouldn't have served it.
Menu looked interesting but quite a disappointment when the food came out. Waffle was mushy and really small servings. Definitely not worth the price :(

Getting on the acai bowl craze I thought I'd try mylk and ko. The acai was great but I prefer a chunkier granola. All in all we had a nice time and the coffee was good.

Prices are quite high, but their core menu of acai bowls is excellent. Worth a visit, especially in non peak times. And I guess I should say 140 chars worth...

The cafe has kept their original menu from their early opening of acai bowls, granola, smoothies, juices, cocowhip and coffee. This has been extended with some savoury/hot breakfast options (i.e. savoury waffles). The options are available all sound tasty and I had a hard time deciding between the options. I haven't been back to try to extended menu, popping by to have some breakfast bowls as well as cocowhip and fruit/granola treats. The fruit used in my orders are always fresh and bursting with flavour and the coconut flakes is a nice addition to the fruit serve. The coffee was excellent, a well trained barista created a full flavoured coffee - no milky coffee here! The coffee cups also had a cute coffee pun printed on them - you'll have to go buy one to read it yourself! Turns out I met the owner when I went in and she was helpful with the menu and delivered an excellent product and I hope to see her attention to detail transfers to her staff as their training continues. Highly recommend this place for an afternoon treat or late lunch.

It was the first place my girlfriend could legitimately say she could eat everything on the menu. It was delicious food while catering for everyone's diet in a nice casual yet clean and well laid out place. I would recommend for anyone.

Went on Good Friday and was lucky we got in as soon as the doors opened as it got PACKED! Staff were run off their feet but kept big smiles on their faces and did their best to serve quickly yet still attentive to each customer.
We had a banana smoothie -YUM! Although quite $$ especially with holiday surcharge. My friend ordered the espresso with Coco whip "nice-cream" on the side which looked and tasted delish.
I got a open toastie (vegan) which consisted of a zucchini fritter with aioli and charcoal hummus smeared across the plate. It was tasty, but lacked UMPFF, I had to add quite a bit of salt and pepper. Was not happy with the thick slice of white bread after seeing a instagram pic of the same dish which had what appeared to be brown bread with seeds.. I should have requested a healthier (less doughy) bread!
Overall this place has bright meals, cheery staff and vegan options.. so I will be back :)
Sarah
Acai was good but not happy with the service. Although it was Easter Friday and super busy, our coffees took 1.5 hours on top of this extra time to get our meals. This was ridiculous. On top of this it was a 15% surcharge which caused my friend and I to be paying $55 in total for our meals which weren't even satisfactory. The hot food was cold, dry and was served not as stated on the menu. And my friend didn't even get her meal after the 2 hours wait, ended up getting a refund, and then was left to leave with no food. Not even after 2 hours waiting was she served a meal. Waste of time.

Had the nacho waffles. They sound delicious but it is literally cold beans with a sliced waffle and few pieces of avacado on top i was surprised. Average!
Rebecca
I wanted to like this place more but it just didn't do it for me. The iced coffee was good but the nacho waffles were disappointing. I'm not sure why they didn't just serve the mince on top of a full waffle instead of having these dry pieces of waffle. For $19 I can get a lot more food of higher quality at other establishments.

I came and tried Mylk & Co when it first opened. We had acai bowls. As expected they were good, wholesome and you left feeling like you had a clean healthy breakfast. We did enjoy our breakfast. We worried that this place may struggle though unless they diversified. However, we have just noticed their additional menu! Very much looking forward to returning to try something else.

I went there a couple of times and it is definetely my new favourite place. The new menu has a wide selection, sweet and savoury, and it's absolutely heaven for gluten and dairy intolerants like me. Staff is really nice and I love how they arranged the place. Good job guys!
Natalie
We enjoyed great coffee and the peanut butter acai bowl from Mylk + Ko. Love the decor! The staff are friendly and attentive. I can't wait to go and try more of their breakfast menu.

Very appealing and inviting little café in New Farm. Friendly staff members who are happy to help and answer questions. Amazing espresso coffee with a good variety of milks to choose from. Lamington bowl was just incredible! Overall great ambience and service with excellent products.
