After a hard day renovating, hubby & I decided to try out the place since we love The Fish Depot within the same complex.
What a great relaxing place away from the maddening crowds of Southbank and the CBD.
We were greeted and allowed to pick our table. We opted in the outside area.
What caught my eye was the bright Red, black & white colour scheme, but also how clean the restaurant is. All tables set with chopsticks and menus.
Surprised it was table service and first up went for the pork spring rolls.
We then wanted to be adventerous and picked the spicy pho (Bun Bo Hue) and the Beef Stew (Bo Kho) with Egg Noodles.
The spring rolls are hand made and very tasty. But the highlight was the spicy pho. It reminded me just slightly of a Tom Yum.
Will definitely be back!
I order my Combination Pho Dac Biet with the waitress as I walk in. This is my fourth visit to My Pho Bar and my third review. My previous reviews rate this restaurant 3.0/5.0 due to the small serves and average beef broth.
My lunch is served within four minutes and a quick glance of the soup noodles impresses me. It is well presented with a decent serve of pho noodles and has lots of meat and beef offal. The soup is hot and tasty with a generous serve of sliced cooked beef, raw tender beef, beef balls, beef tripe and tendon. I tell the waitress that this is my best bowl of Beef Pho here. Well done guys!
Been here multiple times and each time food is delicious and amazing. Staff are always so nice and friendly. Wait time is acceptable and prices are reasonable for the big bowl you get
Myself and my Aunty came here for lunch it was Nice pho very tasty, I was hoping for more noodles but other then that the place is quite nice and is priced well .
Loved the crispy quail, spring rolls and MyFreedom pho! The quail was that moreish salty spicy crispy deliciousness you expect but are often disappointed at other outlets. The spring rolls were big and full of flavour. And the pho... yum! Full of flavour and will hopefully kick my cold in the butt!
Came at noon on a Wednesday, the place was empty but filled as time passed. Plenty of parking spaces in the village, you will spot this shop easily!
Service was friendly and fast, I ordered a bowl of pho - "myfreedom". You get to choose 3 out of 5 kinds of meats in your pho. They include: rare steak, tripe, flank, beef balls, and tendon; however there is a 6th option which is oxtail but you will have to add an additional $3.50.
I got the tripe, beef balls, tendons, and I added extra ox tail.
I loved the tripe, it was cooked perfectly and not too chewy. The beef balls were a little average, the tendons were deliciously jelly-like. There was one medium sized oxtail, and it was cooked well. The meat was soft and tender and the fats on the outside were jellyish. The chillis and sauces are self service, so have at them.
The soup for the pho was delicious. It was not overly intense but it was rather light and refreshing. Perfect bowl for a rainy day when I went.
I will definitely be back again, and if you are up for a challenge, my pho bar offers a "pho champion" bowl. It includes a huge bowl of pho and 800g of meats in it. You have 60 minutes to finish it to get your picture on the wall!
A great place to have pho, plenty of parking, usually is open from 11am to around 8/9 depending on the day.
My husbands favourite pho bar in Brisbane! He likes the rare steak pho and says its always great here and the serving size is generous. I enjoy the vermicelli salad with chicken. Its a great spot for lunch at a reasonable price and very clean and tidy.
We really enjoyed our meal at My Pho Bar and are grateful for such a tasty, affordable and clean Vietnamese eatery so close to our house. The next step is to actually pop in for their namesake pho and see if that lives up to expectations.
Great tasting pho fresh pho. Get a takeaway my spicey quite often from work. Definately recommended and is the best pho I've found in brisbane
Delicious. We had a delicious fresh and tasty Pho..
Pretty good. Have eaten here a few times, Pho is pretty good. They charge too much for extras like oxtail though.
Repeat customer. Serve up a great beef stew and pho. Lychee cocktail goes great with any meal.
Fresh and delicious food!. This is one of my favorite places to eat in Jindalee, the food is absolutely delicious and it's a great place to have dinner on a balmy summer night. Everything on the menu is delicious and very refreshing, especially the AMAZING lychee mocktails! The entrees are all very good - I can't even pick a favorite out of them because I love them all so much! My favorite main is the vermicelli chicken - so fresh and delicious. It's a small, humble little restaurant with a great atmosphere and lovely staff - I recommend it to everyone!
Beautiful, fresh good! So tasty and consistent! Wonderful staff! Amazing prices! I go here once a week without fail! Their iced coffee is amazing too!
New fav pho place. My new favourite pho place (sunnybank store)
Pleasant surprise. The noodles were yummy although a little smaller portion compared to other shops; lychee mocktail was refreshing esp for a warm day!
Delicious & well priced. Such a clean cut little place to be found at Jindalee. Lychee Mocktail is yummy!
Just by walking in I felt it was my kind of place. The design & layout is simple, yet warm & sophisticated. The staff were quick to offer me a table & take my order & the food was delicious. There are many places to get amazing Pho in Brisbane, but this one is slowly becoming one of my favourites. Keep up the great work!
Service is great, food even better! We visit often and have had the works pho, chicken salad, chicken pho and their fruit mock tails, flavorsome and aromatic.
Great Pho. We had the chicken and the 'my works' and they were both fresh, tasty, not too salty and very generous serving size. Not as cramped as other Pho places which was nice on a really hot night. Staff lovely and friendly. Fried spring rolls were good too! This place falls just short of Sunnybank eateries but we will definately be back as it's so much closer and we couldn't really fault it at all.
Great Feel, great service, great pho!. Pho is one of my favourite Vietnamese foods! I usually rely on places such as Sunnybank and inala for my pho craving fixes but when I heard the word of a "pho bar" that had recently opened I was keen on trying! The place looks great with very well constructed interiors and design of the place, two thumbs up for the owners! You'll notice the place is totally different than other Vietnamese restaurants, the feel of the place, the staff, but especially the service and pho makes this place the benchmark of Vietnamese cuisine in Brisbane! We tried the my works(traditional pho) and my spicy(spicy noodle soup), for 12 dollars you get a quality size bowl and it honestly is some amazing soup/noodles/meat! They also have a Super Bowl challenge for $35 dollars where if you finish it within 60 mins you eat it for free and they put you on their wall of fame. All in all, it's a great place and must be visited for all pho enthusiasts! Will definitely be back!
Delicious, delicious, delicious. Great service also. Try the $35 pho-challenge ;)
What i really like is that the sliced beef was still very much tender even when it cooked all the way through in the broth and the broth itself was just delicious..
...hands down the best pho I have ever had! I have no reason to ever go to, or near Jindalee other than to get my beef Pho fix. As the name suggests Pho’s are the specialty, you can get them with a variety of meats but I suggest you go the rare steak.
The absolute best place for phó out side of Vietnam great value great food great staff clean just AMAZING. I've travelled 3 hours just to eat here. 11/10
Small Pho restaurant situated just off the centenary highway at Jindalee. I ordered rice with pork loin and my wife had the steak Pho. Food was very good, perhaps in the top 5 in Brisbane for this type of food. Price was standard for meals of this type. Service was 20 minutes from ordering to the delivery of the meals. Restaurant was very clean.
I would recommend you try this restaurant.
Loved the rare beef pho here, very tasty! Also the vermicelli noodle salad is great if you don't want something hot. This is a casual place and prices are very reasonable. Had dinner for 2 for $28 (no drinks).
What a lovely taste of Pho. Have cash with you just in case!
Pretty good, with authentic flavours. The Pho had a good depth to it, and I'm glad that there is some decent Vietnamese closer to my side of town without having to travel to Darra or Inala. Excellent and friendly staff capped off a great lunch for my young family.
This is hands down the best pho I have ever had! I have no reason to ever go to, or near Jindalee other than to get my beef Pho fix. As the name suggests Pho’s are the specialty, you can get them with a variety of meats but I suggest you go the rare steak. Thinly sliced, raw lashings of beef are dropped into the hot soup right before they are served making them tender and perfectly cooked. They are served in a huge bowl big enough to feed an army but if you are feeling brave you can attempt the pho challenge which consists of a mammoth bowl with 800g of noodles, 800gm of meat and a couple of litres of soup. If you finish it within the hour you get it for free!
