Review Saigon Alley Cafe - Brisbane

This place is a gold mine!! Their Vietnamese iced coffee's remind me of how they taste in Vietnam. But the breakfast Bahn Mi is the bees knees!!! I'm craving my next one already. Service is delivered with such a friendly smile and chat. This place is a must if you enjoy Vietnamese.

This chicken pho is a real disappointment. It's a really sweet stock sickly sweet. Hardly any veg. No coriander etc. Just a few raw onions and tiny amount sprouts. Chicken tastes bland like it's from supermarket roast chicken. Gross but it's rainy and cold and I'm starving.

You'll get consistently fresh and tasty food here, authentic flavours, fantastic service and great value. The staff are always happy and nothing is too much trouble. This place is a hidden gem at the base of an office building.

Absolutely brilliant! Their pho is amazing! I'm constantly recommending this place to anyone that will listen. Their staff are incredibly friendly and it's very reasonably priced. Food is always quickly prepared. The constant line out the door says it all.

Convenient location for a cafe, however vegetarian options are very limited, and the coffee is juuuuussssstttt below average. Also there are no syrup options to add. To me the coffee tastes burnt and is too hot. Would recommend the Brazilian place across the road. The staff are nice very nice however!

This place serves everything with a smile, come often enough and they will absolutely remember your name. Small menu, but they nail everything which I really like. Have tried the Pho, Cari-ga and Bahn-mi and all were top notch. It's a weekly go to now.

The best Chicken Pho I have ever had. Everyone who I have recommended has said the same thing and do not go anywhere else! Not just the pho that is good, rice paper rolls are yummy. The curry is also good gear. Lovely people too! 5 stars ⭐️ 10/10

Average banh mi<br/>This busy little eatery on Adelaide Street serves all the Vietnamese staples. I stopped by for lunch with some colleagues and had a pork belly banh mi. The salad filling was good but I thought that it could have done with some more pork. To be fair I've been a bit spoiled from eating at all the great banh mi around Brisbane and it was super cheap.

My Pho ‘go to’ in the CBD. Tempted to try other options like the crepe but can’t drag myself away from the pho. Ice coffee is a treat. Great staff and service a bonus.

I have walked past the little place many times and if they didn’t have a fun sign out the front promoting their pho, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed it. But I’m very glad I did. I chose the twice cooked pork belly Vietnamese noodle salad. The noodles were lovely and generous with good salad on the size. Perhaps a little more carrot to lettuce would have been good and a few more fresh herbs, but otherwise delicious. I liked the dressing - not too sweet and very tasty. The pork, while not the typical pork belly I was expecting, was still very delicious, and a big portion too. Reasonably priced, quick and very friendly service, I will definitely be back here to try more from their tasty traditional Vietnamese menu.

Fantastic authentic Vietnamese food. Ice coffee to die for. Definitely will be back again... Limited seating but worth the squeeze for the good food

Great food, great value!. I've been back many times and have just about tried everything on the menu. Food is always tasty. The monthly specials are something to look forward to. I love the Vietnamese curry so authentic and the beef noodle soup (Pho) always hits the spot. If I am in a rush I grab the Vietnamese steam bun to eat on the go or I order a Vietnamese roll with grilled pork balls - absolutely delicious and I love how the roll is perfectly toasted. So glad I discovered this great cafe!

Blake. I end up eating here all the time because its just across from work. Staff and friendly, breaky special is awesome when i'm running late in the mornings, but my favourite is usually the monthly specials. Pho, Viet Chicken curry, all awesome for lunch.

Went in one morning for their breakfast special which is pretty cheap for a roll and coffee ($6.50). The roll was delicious! The pork belly melts in your mouth and their chilli sauce isnt too chilly but soo tasty! Great coffee as well! With so many coffee stands around the CBD, one of the better places. Strongly recommended

I stopped in here just after 3pm one work day looking for a late lunch (after being turned away by their neighbour for being closed) and they had been closed a little while and were tidying up. I went to leave and they offered to make me one of three meals, so they whipped up a tasty beef/glass noodle /salad dish that was delightful. I had a good chat to the staff while I waited and they were absolutely lovely. I highly recommend, service like that is rare and the meal was fresh and tasty to boot!

I don't think I would have seen it if I didn't notice the standing sign. It's kind if tucked away! I made the effort to walk in because Vietnamese places usually mean banh mi! The banh mis here are pretty large for $6.50 (I always get the standard) it was crunchy and tasty. The pork belly was *literally* melt in your mouth. The only faults were personal preference. It didn't have pâté on it (to me, pâté makes a great banh mi) and there was a LOT of carrot compared to cucumber. Oh and the chilli wasn't very hot. Besides that, it hit the spot!

Past Anzac Square on the further side of Adelaide Street, there’s a small café with a mural of Vietnamese street diners and splashes of red, yellow and black throughout the shop. Saigon Alley Café delivers on its theme of Vietnamese Street Food, providing fast meals without losing the authentic, aromatic, Asian flavours. I was glad to see Banh Xeo (Vietnamese Crepes) on the menu as it doesn’t seem to make a regular enough appearance at Vietnamese restaurants around the city. Other classics like Banh Mi (Vietnamese Baguettes), Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup), Bunh Thit (Vermicelli Salad) and of course, Goi Cuon (Rice Paper Rolls) were also readily available for office workers to grab and go. Their packages of Rice Paper Rolls came with a nice sprig of Asian Basil which was a nice touch. Mum ordered the Lemongrass Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Salad. Juicy lemongrass infused chicken with fresh rice vermicelli, mint, lettuce and cucumber. I’ve badly craved Ban
