Went here for weekend brunch with the partner.
We ordered obligatory coffees - smooth, good blend. For meals, we had the special-of-the-day 'multi-grain porridge with pistachios and mandarin' (simple, healthy with a textural crunch and juicy citrus segments) and the 'cabbage pancake' (soft cabbage, crispy broccoli and generous shavings of goat cheese).
Casual ambience with indoor and outdoor seating available. Friendly and efficient service. Reasonable prices.
Overall, a lovely cafe for a healthy brunch option.
Sourced Grocer say they are the ‘perfect proprietors of good food’ and they certainly are. The food is darn tasty and wholesome. The staff are lovely, however, the portions are a bit on the not so generous side. The highlight for me were the cabbage pancakes. Who would have thought of eating cabbage for breakfast?! #sourcedgrocer
I was not disappointed with this quintessential bowl of bircher muesli from Sourced Grocer. With no need for unnecessary extravagances, the ‘Bircher’ consists of rolled organic oats, barambah yoghurt, seasonal fruit, lemon myrtle & fresh Bee One Third honeycomb- simply irresistible ($14.00). Any bircher muesli fan will leave here feeling satisfied after an exquisite breakfast as I was.
I am a regular here, because Sourced has a wonderfully curated selection of fabulous foodie things to take away; a thoughtful, delicious menu for eating in and the best coffee going around. I only wish it would open for dinner on Friday nights!
Friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere. We had great coffees with crumpets and fruit loaf, simple but delicious. Could raid the shelves of the shop for hours, leaving with far more than we planned!
Always good eating and drinking at Sourced Grocer. Quick and friendly service accompanied by great coffee. Outside seating can get hot, cold or wet depending on the season but still nice to watch the world go by.
Amazing experience and a perfect meal, coal charred octopus. You must try it 5* service, memorable meal. Relaxed atmosphere for a Sunday lunch.

If you are very Healthy food person that this is perfect for you. And personally that I really like what owner did for every elements of restaurant. Not just that, you can find and purchase lots of healthy ingredients from their Grocery store. And it is very nice. :)
Came here for breakfast with a friend, friendly service and nice coffee. I've ordered the soft eggs and sour dough with a vegetable side and my friend ordered a toast with egg. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the ingredients were fresh. We would come back again
Ordered: soft eggs, cabbage pancakes, bannana smoothie (with chai seeds, forgot the name), long black and cap
Goods
- Cabbage pancake had a soft and crunchy texture. Soft cabbage base topped with baked crispy broccoli.
- Healthy & tasty food. Feel guilt free
- affordable for the size of meals
- great and friendly staff
- industrial hidden nook in a trendy suburb
- Less than 10min walk to 'new farm' where there are more cafes, vintage furniture shops, coffee roasters, riverside park and theatre
- little to no foot traffic in the area
- coffee was well made
- open space at the restaurant
Bads
- located near apartments and housing, parking is quite difficult
- coffee bean quality could have been better. However, they did a good job with extraction. No burnt after taste
Sourced grocer had a chilled atmosphere, cafe where you can really lay back and enjoy healthy food to get back to reality. Typical inner city Brisbane lifestyle. I'd come back again with new people to showcase I know trendy areas to eat
This place didn't disappoint - lovely brunch on a rainy day and lots of interesting items to browse while waiting for the food! Coffee was good and the food looked and tasted amazing! Definitely a must do if in the area and the Reuben toasted sandwich was fantastic!
Exceptional eatery, wow. Just beautiful. Such originality, tastiness, freshness and healthfulness. Friendly, genuine, snappy service combined with delicious food and drinks - so many options and treats, it's an absolute pleasure having this place in Brisbane. So so good. Oh, and the grocery side of things - brilliant...one of everything thanks.
If you're looking for a trendy place to have your weekend brunch but longing for something healthy, organic and ethically sourced ingredients, this is where you should go. Sourced grocer has a laid back atmosphere with an urban jungle décor. Great for a brunch date or casual hangs.
However, the service was a bit slow and the crew was a little bit short.
Ahhhhh I adore this place. They have such a simple yet delicious menu. The portion sizes are great too - not too much but not too little. Organic shop is very nice! I recommend having a look. The setting is so lovely too, try to go when it's not busy though. Service is very friendly too.
Typical organic valley trendy. Overall pretty nice. Coffee was okay, but the food was great! We had the Cabbage Pancakes which are super delish. The venue is nice if you're just cruising through with friends to grab a coffee. Some nice casual spaces to just grab and crate and sit down. But a bit hot and noisy inside. Nice spot if you're in the area.
I'm in love with the place. The cabbage pancakes had so much flavor and I love that there is a produce focus. I can see why this made the top 50 breakfast list in Brisbane
Friendly efficient service. Outstanding coffee and for breakfast simple though amazing flavours with good quality produce. Definitely make it a regular visit :-)
Had breakfast at this groceries/cafe yesterday morning. When I walked in, I saw the young chefs were busy in preparing meals for diners. Approaching the counter to order my coffee and the "Queensland Prawns with Ciabatta", unfortunately, the chef only just finished the dough and I needed to wait for 15 minutes so I changed my order to "Smoked Kingfish with Beetroots". I was so lucky that if I did not change the order, I would not have a chance to see such a nice dish from a local cafe. The whole dish was presented with high plating skill ( I though I was having fine dining). The aesthetics effect just kick start my appetite. The fish was cured soooo nice with soft texture and traces of light smokiness were well balanced with the sweetness from the Beetroots. Although the taste of coffee was not my favorite, it was smooth and earthy. This breakfast experience gave me a great "wow", which really made my day.
Pretty looking breakfasts, yes! Cool vibe and hip decor, yes! Except probably not the place for you to to if you're wanting a massive breakfast for the tummy. Parking is also a bit annoying. As is finding a place to sit. Service wise, only OK.
I think this was the second best place on my food stop.
It was close to the place that we were staying and we ended up having most our meals from there.
The place is an extended part of the grocery store where the sell fresh produce. I would say it is definitely a must visit place for the experience of seeing it food just cooked front of u even with out the glass barrier.
I had the day's special. The citrus fruit salad with macadamia hung curd. O my it was really really yummy with all fresh fruits and amaizing flavour combination. My friend had the lamb dish of the day. Which looked nice and healthy where the flavours were simple and lot of green peas.
I would say this is a great place to go if ur going for a healthy eating out option.
Came here for lunch catch up with group of friends, seating capacity isn't ideal for large groups as it doubles as a grocery store too. There wasn't many options on the menu that inspired me or made me want to try and so I stuck with the safe option of avocado on toast with labne. The drinks are nice and enjoyed my green juice.
Been a steady friend and favourite for the four plus years since it opened as our local. Great, truly great, coffee (first Cup and then, of course, Supreme) made by the wisecracking barista Penn who knows his stuff and can really make that machine produce love in a cup. The food is also consistently fabulous. I could eat the cabbage pancakes with egg, broccoli and a side of thick juicy pig every day. The specials are always good and it's sad when they go. Shopping is pretty neat too. One of the the food and eating highlights of Brisbane.
It was time to venture back to Sourced Grocer. Once I was back I couldn’t understand why I left in the first place. I love the set up with the organic food store section, no wonder this place is always so busy!. The menu covered all of the basics with an organic, healthy touch. I wasn’t feeling very adventurous so had the Honey Roasted Oats (House rolled organic honey roasted oats, Barambah yoghurt, rhubarb, lemon myrtle and fresh Bee honeycomb) $13. It was superb one of the best mueslis I have had in a very long time (of course not as good as my homemade granola).
Sourced Grocer is a place where you can always rely on the food and coffee to be great. Love going here on a sunday morning with my partner and will continue to do so.
There are some cafes which are ever reliably a good choice. Sourced Grocer will always have great coffee, tasty juices and a menu that is both delicious and a little different from the usual breakfast and lunch fare. Last weekend we visited and were happily greeted with their additional tables added during their recent refurb. Our table caught up over coffees, green smoothies, fresh juices and their current sandwich option of ham, tomato, smoked cheddar and mustard mayo on sourdough; the Queensland prawn ciabatta served with fermented chilli mayo and coriander and from their specials menu - an octopus dish. Pictured, this was a flavour-filled plate of grilled octopus, lentils, sorrel, gem lettuce and pork floss.
Best coffee!. Cool place. Cool clientele and cool staff. Food is great! Coffee is the best... To which I hold all other cafes in comparison too!!
Nice fruit smoothies! Not very children friendly (steps so you cannot take a pram up).. Good for breakfast with friends!
Great food in a hole in the wall. Great breakfast and really good coffee, though I'd like to see more normal seating. Not too much a fan of hanging out on the stairs and though eating on a milk crate is somewhat hipster and trendy, it feels like they haven't made much effort. The food is un-faultable, it's really good. Parking can be a nightmare and I have left on one occasion purely because I'd driven round the block one too many times.
Great coffee good food. I love the coffee here and the meals usually lead me to believe I'm a better person after eating one. The only downfall is it's very popular and seating can be a nightmare.
Local favourite. Relaxed vibe, friendly service, nice coffee, interesting menu without the pretentious prices & whole food deli to boot. Ticks all the boxes.
Love it.... Love the place... once of my favs... would always try to pop by to chill out ... ambient and food are great!

I'm in love with this place! Great food great coffee and fast! Though having been my first visit a heads up on their unique sugar/sweetener would have been helpful seeing it really wasn't to my liking realising this once I'd put it in my coffee but other than that I'm in love! What a fantastic concept just what brisbane needed! I will be back and am telling all my friends about it.
Together Please. If I order coffee and a pastry/snack, I think it's reasonable to expect them to arrive at about the same time. If not, my coffee is cold by the time the toast arrives or visa versa. The places where the two items don't arrive together tend to have attitude on the part of the waitstaff -- how dare you ask such a thing! In any case, the toast and coffee were very good and so was the casual vibe of the place. Yes, I'd go back and will hopefully remember to make my wishes known.
Awesome food options. Love the food and what you can buy from here. Wish that there was better seating to eat in. Also find it difficult to get a smoothie or a coffee from here takeout if you are in a rush as it's so slow (but always good quality!) so quite often don't choose here for that reason! Love the food options though
I recently had the pleasure of having breakfasts at Sourced. To sum it up in one word, 'outstanding'. Everything that I like in a cafe (very healthy, simple and very tasty). The service was quick, easy and unassuming. The atmosphere was incredible and the staff were easy going and only to happy to help with the selection of the many items throughout the store. I wish all other cafés could take a leaf out of the book of Sourced. The coffee was seriously the best I have had and it was super quick. If you like simple, wholesome and healthy food set in an easy and relaxed environment then this is the place to be. In fact I was hesitant to write a review in order to keep this place a secret but it's too good for others to kiss out on. It's also very conservatively priced. Happy days. I'll be back.
Sourced is a cool grocer with amazing eats. The vibe is new farm trendy, the coffee is superb and the breakfast and lunch menu has many items to satisfy.
The Bircher muesli with fresh fruit is perfectly balanced and the ham and cheese Toastie is great for breakfast. Of lunch. Or brunch. Any time really.
Overall, this place is delicious and the service is friendly. A winner!
Crate Expectations. Decent food (really nice bread), limited menu & good service but I'm really over the crate in the driveway thang.
Great.. I love the atmosphere at SG as it reminds me of the laneways and quirky/hipster cafes of Melbourne. A healthy range of great food and deli products. Love the communal table and the various casual seating and crate tables. The only things I can fault are how packed it gets (but hey, I don't blame the crowds- it's awesome) and the confusing pay/order system. Also, I wish it were open later. Have been meaning to revisit SG soon but in the meantime, I'm raving about it to all my friends!
Well Sourced. Good coffee, relatively friendly staff considering cool factor but don't like the ordering and paying at 2 separate locations? Why? Nice atmos and interesting, albeit expensive stock to browse.
Great whole foods!!. Love this place. Great relaxed atmosphere, beautiful food (I had the artichoke salad and it was Devine) and such a great grocers shop to look around too!!
Good local deli. A nice local deli (if you live in Teneriffe / New Farm, you definitely must have heard of it), with good range of quality food from around the world (some of the gourmet cheeses & sausages they stock are just amazing!), which is serving as a base for their fabulous brekkies (yep, it's just as much a grocery deli, as it is a popular local cafe). All in all, the food is good, portions just enough, and staff generally friendly. Only minus is how 'übercool' the place ends up appearing...not sure if it's what the owners had in mind, but rather than just being a funky informal cafe with character, at times it looks like a 'fake hang out spot' for all the local wannabies...
Great coffee - seating can be an issue. The coffee was great and came out fast even though exceptionally busy. Seating is the big problem. A direct result of their success.
Great place, great staff, great food and coffee! what more could I say? :)
Happy stomach/ customer
Great coffee and a fantastic little range of produce. A must stop every time we stay in Teneriffe.
Amazing. This place has great tasting coffee, milk shakes, jucies and delicious breakfast and lunch options. Well priced, happy staff and amazing organic food. Would highly recommend. Don't go expecting a full cooked breakfast but I assure you won't be disappointed with the menu options.
After brunch look around the store and grab some yummy food items for dinner!
A Teneriffe favourite. Thumbs up for the avocado smash on sour dough - very generous portions and well seasoned. Seating is hard to nab with most people finding themselves sitting on stairs and milk crates but the atmosphere is relaxed, staff are friendly and there's a great selection of organic and deli produce.
Light Lunch. Stopped in for early lunch. Lovely coffee & a pork belly sandwich. Delicious, simple & home style. Produce in the grocery store looks good, albeit expensive. Lovely environment surrounded by fresh produce.
Cosy and friendly. I understand why people talk about and love this place. Staff are friendly, but not overly, yet quite welcoming and hard working. People there are so interesting. The selection of grocery is interesting. My friends had sandwiches there and were so happy with the quality. I had latte, which was unfortunately a bit too bitter, but friend's flat white was quite good. I had organic cora afterward. It was perfect to have in the late afternoon on one of the hot Brisbane day.
Really yummy original salads.
Good, but get some seats. Fantastic coffee & food, although as others have mentioned trying to drink a coffee and eat lunch on your lap can be tricky.
Great for people watching - can be highly amusing!
Falafel salad = yum, yum, yum! I quite like the setting. Although the space is cramped it's quite cosy huddling together on milk crates.
Delicious. SG salad was the perfect hangover cure. Cup coffee is excellent.
Great local resource(d). Cool, expensive, great products, imaginative food, wonderful overall though....
Woodfried Salmon sandwich is well cooked with fantastic flavours. Certainly a must try!
Love it!. I love Sourced Grocer. It is a true reflection of the owners love for fresh and organic food! Always delicious meals with local produce and tasty drinks. Always greeted with a friendly smile from Willow and Tahlia always helps me with my fruit and veg after I dine. Would recommend this to anyone for a chilled out, inviting lunch or breakfast. Very good!
Beware of Hipsters. Great little grocer but its a shame that it is a hang out for hipsters and there fixies. The food they have to offer is second to none and they are on to a winner its just very intimidating when you want to sit out side but you can feel all eyes on you if you dont have a pair of fake raybans rolled up chinos and your dads shirt. Get rid of the hawkers and canvasers source!
Two Saturdays in a row (just saying). Been here 2 Saturdays in a row now for breakfast/brunch and definitely 2 of the best decisions I've made.
Walking in, the set out is beautiful and open with the most standout-ish thing being the unique seating arrangements. You have the option of sitting at the highly staked out, long timber dining table (which lends itself well to random groups), the stairs, milk crates, or the large cushioned window sill outside (the best option if you enjoy people watching).
So far off the menu I've had the Smashed Avo and Labneh on Sourdough and 'The Trent' - fruit loaf with sweetened ricotta, banana, and a few blueberries and raspberries. Both were fantastic and I've also had friends rave about the Cured Salmon on Sourdough and the Granola - although the granola could definitely do with a little bit more fruit. But that's just my personal preference :)
The coffee's fantastic too - how can you really go wrong with a Cup blend?
Without doubt one of my favourites at the moment.
Neighbourhood Gem!. Friendly staff that remember you when you come in, simple delicious breakfast using organic locally sourced produce and a deli full of tempting goodies!
It is very difficult to get a seat at the table on the weekend at breakfast or lunch time so be prepared to wait or pull up a milk crate. I personally like the relaxed vibe and think that it's great to have a local option to pick up last minute items (milk, bread etc) rather than the convenience stores with terrible food for the same price (or more!)
Must buy the Leavain bread (sourdough yummm)...A+!
Fun. Sourced is a fun experience. We sat at the communal table & had coffee & a sandwich. Pretty basic but tasty. Like being at someones kitchen table. The grocer stocks some great produce as well.
Great if you can wait. Stopped by for a sunday brunch. loved the great atmosphere--people spread out on the steps, milk crates, and even the window sill. grocery side was frankly a little less impressive than i was anticipating, but a fun browse nonetheless.
i was very satisfied with the coffee and croissant! unfortunately my order took about 30 minutes to arrive. the next time i have a lazy sunday and want to make breakfast my entire morning activity i will be excited to return.
Yummmmmmmmmmmo. It taste like goodness and sunshine.
Every neighbourhood should have one. Fantastic idea - grocer + cafe - wish them every success - though also wish it was set up a bit better, but they've done great so far. Every neighbourhood should have something like it.
Inspiring. What the owners and staff have created here is incredible - it's pretty much the physical hub of the food revolution. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is one that is yet to be replicated anywhere except for my grandmother's garden. Everywhere you look there is something you want to take home and make your own. Love it.
Good Coffee. Great Atmosphere, with a fantastic new grocer with wonderful delights from Meat to Vegetables. Great little cafe that was buzzing with happy faces and gleaming smiles. Well worth the trip.
The perfect place to be when you just want to take it easy, enjoy the beautiful day with friends and loved ones over a good cup of coffee and genuinely clean and simple food. We left the place feeling good and happy. Portion of food served was perfect, it was healthy, the ambience was lovely, they had the cutest corner of organic groceries. I’m not sure how to describe it to you, I felt grounded from the whole experience of eating there. Would definitely be coming here often during the weekends.

Price is a bit high comparing with portions but the food is good. I love i avocado on toast. Because they gives u the whole avo. And also they sells organic stuff. Can be abit too hot if the weather is very warm but still air flows and chill to hangout for brunch and breakfast. Check this place out.
A little overpriced, coffee is ok, the bagels are fresh, I had the salmon and cream cheese. The grocery section stocks some interesting items that are difficult to find elsewhere like the dried and canned chipotle chillies. The staff are usually friendly and helpful.
This is a wonderful place that sells groceries and fresh veggies and wonderful homemade treats both savoury and sweet. Has a lovely cafe although not wheelchair accessible
Food was great and generous. Staff were nice. Was a beautiful day in the sun. Not a long wait to be seated.
Funky spot serving up some really nice food as well as selling some groceries. I would have given this a 5 star rating if it weren't for the music, listening to the lyrics filled with tales of gang bangs and murder may be cool in some settings but not here - put more thought into what you're putting out there musically, your clientele deserve a lot better.
Food was very good, slightly lacking in seasoning on a few dishes but Brisbane has such good cafès now that competition is stiff
Very elegant food with great taste. Just the size of meal is a little small for the price. Nice drinks and onsite grocery with lots of organic or local food brand.
