Good truffle pizza and onion bread starter. Pasta carbonara is not cooked meree
This is our go-to Italian joint. Not many choices Of mains but what they do make, they make it with perfection. Love the pepperoni pizza and the nonnas spaghetti. Make sure you book a table ahead of time. Waitstaff always polite and accomodating - even with kids. Wish I could rate higher!
Amazing! My partner and I shared the margarita pizza, truffle mushroom pasta and the rocket salad. All three dishes were exceptional. Such a cute restaurant with the little bar attached for an pre-drink or digestive. Would very highly recommend!
Wanted to try this one for a long time, Luigi’s has some lovely home style Italian food. We were here for lunch - they don’t run the wood oven at lunch - BUT the good news is that they still make pan pizza, and serve it as a fried sandwich and it’s awesome! The vegetarian pizza was one of the best pizzas ever and I’m not even vego! The slow cooked mushrooms omg 👌 The cheese sauce on the carbonara was also a real highlight 👍
Came in on a Saturday 130pm, we ordered a Hawaiian, a vegetarian and a Carbonara.
The pizzas were divine, loving the smell of it.
It was a quite al dente pasta and salty Carbonara, but the cheese on top was perfect.
The food here is the best Italian food in Brisbane. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend Luigi’s!
I got the vegana, my partner got the Margherita and my son got the Hawaiian with no pineapple. We also got an onion bread as an entre. Seriously some of the best pizza and bread I’ve ever had in my life. It was a bit too oily but the taste was incredible. The service was also great, very attentive and polite. Absolutely loved my experience there.
Hole in the wall restaurant but a definitely recommend. We got the Pepperoni Pizza and the meatballs. Dinner was amazing!ambience: very good
Friendly, knowledgeable, laid back service. The pizzas are amazing and the fit out is ace. An enjoyable night out each time. Definitely a West End gem.
The food here in next level amazing! It says a lot when an Italian restaurant can make a delicious vegan pizza and pasta! 👌👌 10/10 would recommend 🌱💯
Favourite Italian restaurant in Brisbane hands down! Food is superb every time. Authentic Italian food. Great vibe. The guys that work there are all so friendly and more than happy to recommend dishes. A restaurant I would recommend to everyone!
I absolutely love the parmigana and next time will probably get two because it's pretty tiny. The first time we came was actually last summer and had a terrible experience: it was about 15 mins before they closed but the staff said it'd be no problem for us to order. They'd run out of pizza so we had to order pasta. We sat inside as it was hot outside, but after we'd ordered they turned the aircon off and it very hot, very quick, and the staff were decidedly uninterested once it hit 9pm. The salad was disappointing as it was mostly leaves but the pasta was nice and parmigana, delicious. We hadn't gone back until recently because of that experience, but were happy with the food and staff and will avoid coming back near closing time. The montepulciano wine was delightful as well - I would highly recommend it.
Such a pleasant surprise!
I'm always cautious about Italian places in Australia; typically overpriced and serve food I could easily make at home. This is not the case at Luigi's however! Rich delicious flavours, generous servings, and a cruisy intimate atmosphere.
Do recommend!
Amazing food and even better service. Best pizza in west end ! The wine is delicious and the pizzas are true roman pizza. Has delicious vegan option!
If you like food you've got to check this place out. The pizza is as good as you'll get, and everything else I've had there has been up to that standard as well. Its stylish as all hell to boot. Thanks guys
Lovely pizza and pasta - sometimes we go twice a week! Limited menu ensures you're getting really amazing food. The desserts are home-made perfection. I was a bit gutted that espresso wasn't available after dinner (they turn off the machine around 8pm I think); however, the Turkish coffee was sublime and served with the best halva I have tasted. Inside can get a bit stuffy on hot summer nights, but you have the option to sit outside. Service is unobtrusive and genuine - I can't stand Americanised service style. Fantastic! PS: get the meat balls/meat ball pizza - beautiful subtle flavours and made with pork belly :)
Totally legit Italian in a (extremely) laid back setting. Best spaghetti meatballs I've had, sauce is rich and tomatoey without being overly acidic, meatballs juicy and tender, packed with flavour.
So glad this place is just down the road.
This is a fantastic restaurant that more people need to know about. The fit out is all things wood. Circular timber cut offs make up the floor and Hollaway Eyewear wooden frames are put together to make the ambient lights. The food is delicious and packed with flavour. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, meatball spaghetti and caprese salad and would order all three again. If you're ordering pizza, dig in to this first to avoid a soggy base. Service is friendly and attentive and the music choice was great. One little criticism - we went on a hot and humid March weeknight and the air conditioning wasn't on. Wear something light - it can get hot after feasting on the fare.
The gorgonzola, pancetta, mushroom, rocket & truffle pizza is the best thing I have ever eaten. It was soggy as all hell in the middle but it seriously had the best flavour you could ever imagine. Nommmmmmmmm. The photos not great due to the mountain of rocket but there is some serious goodness under there 👌👌👌
Soba fusion (wow), goat curry (mwaa), herbivore pizza (yum), chocolate blueberry icecream on chocolate tahini (grrr!) The food is just perfect - all of it made in house from scratch. Actually, everything about this beautiful little restaurant is pure art. The Holloway guys work magic in everything from the ambience to the finest detail in the taste and presentation of the dishes. The flavours will distract you from any coherent conversation. Seriously exquisite ... and I've never said that about pizza before!
A hidden gem in West End. The food was fresh and full of flavor. I'm not normally a pizza fan but the base was light and the flavor powerful.
The food was great, the service was friendly and great, and the atmosphere and decor was great. I can't give what they do enough praise. Happily recommend to others and return myself.
Thanks goodness for innovation. These guys deserve to succeed if only for their point of difference. it helps that the pizzas are delicious. An intimate little gem, you'd totally win over your babe on date night by coming here. BYO a decent bottle of red from the booze shop next door and huzzah! A winner
I've been here a few times since this opened, and it's great addition to the area. The guys that run it are lovely and very friendly. The menu is quite small, and every item is very well done and thought out. The food is a slightly on the expensive side, but is excellent quality. On my most recent visit, I shared the anchovy pizza, a vegetarian pasta and a salad. Everything was perfectly cooked, and it's probably the best Italian I have had in Brisbane. The ambience here is great, always good music and very relaxed. BYO. Highly recommended if you are after good quality and something different.
Enjoyed a great pizza here last Friday, in the pouring rain. We were four and a baby, and decided to share four different pizzas. All of them had a thin crispy base and the toppings were extraordinary. Add to this the unique setting of a eyewear shop and a bottle of wine that we brought ourselves (BYO) and your evening is a success!
I got invited to Holloway's new pizzeria opening, Pizzartist! They're originally a glasses and watch design shop but decided to branch into a restauran...they have a constantly changing menu based on whatever is available seasonally. They said that they sourced a lot of herbs and vegetables from their garden at the back which is fully opening in several months where they also intend to hold late night cinema showings.

Sated to say the least. I live only a meander away from Holloway and had my eye on it for some time. I would often hear the sounds of the piano perched out the front of their restaurant from my front stoop and at first was perhaps drawn in like a little famished mouse in a pied piper scenario.
I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a warm smile and my partner and I sat in a cosy window nook. Taking in all of the intricacies of the restaurant. The light adornments made from assumably holloway frames, the wall murals and content vibe of other patrons.
Our waiter was charming and attentive with enough banter so as make you feel at ease in such an aesthetically earthy venue. As my partner and I are vegetarians we were delighted to see numerous options. We began with an eggplant parmigiana which tasted like a family recipe from passed down from someones Nonna, so rich and filling. After which we had a delicious fettuccine which was so fresh you left feeling light, and a scrumptious pizza.
Overall we had a very pleasant evening and would highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious Authentic Italian meal tonight at Luigi’s in West End!!! Soooo good!! Fresh made Moreton bay bug ravioli with sage butter - sooo good! Pizza also extremely authentic and delicious. But the absolute showstoppers were the home made gelato!! Saffron, vanilla, honey and Halva - sensational!! And mango, white chocolate ganache and pine nuts also very decadent!! Great service and West End Grungy street vibe made for an enjoyable night!! Wine list small but great also!!
Amazing atmosphere. Attentive staff. Delicious Meal. Partner described the sauce to her Funghi as "something she wants to keep forever." Definitely recommend getting bread to dip into the sauce of your pasta.
OMG! 😀 I'm very rarely impressed by restaurant meals. Luigi's has done so.
We had the second item on the breakfast menu and it was a fantastic flavor experience. A beautiful omelet with lots of tastes to enjoy, wrapped up in a sourdough pizza base.
The meal was large and well priced.
The staff are friendly and professional, the decor unique, warm and interesting.
We'll be returning regularly.
Went for lunch and unfortunately they only do pizza for dinner. But they did do this delicious fried bread torta thing with any pizza topping. The Pacifico was delicious.
