Decent burgers. Had the vegan cheeseburger. Could have used a little more sauce. Chips were quite tasty too. Happy to make this a regular cheat meal option.
Melts and burgers are sublime. A plethora of beautiful american cheese and meat that makes your mouth water. However, fries are soggy and lacking flavour and wait is FAR too long. Nonetheless I will still return to Getta Burger, to forget my waistline and clog my arteries with the incredibly tasty pulled pork.
Got 3 burgers and the filthy fries. Everything tasted great. The flavours, the meat was not dry, the buns were soft. If you are into this kind of food, definitely a place worth checking out.
A little bit expensive because you're paying for excellent quality and quantity. They happily customise burgers for your needs as well. Always delicious
'Gotta Getta Burger.' This phrase was on loop in my head for weeks before I actually made it to the big show. I wasn't super hungry when I drove past, but still pulled in because I'd be jonesing to try the Getta fare out. Best decision I made all Saturday, and I made some very good decisions that day. I got the Getta Boss with chips added to it. Probably didn't need to do that as the burger was about the size of a rockmelon. Brisket for days. Bun could handle the action. It was like a surreal dream where my ultimate burger had become a reality. At one stage I think I blacked out, but I eventually took the boss down, then took myself home for a nice lay down. Clear your schedule.
Fantastic. Great serving side of fries and burger was amazing, juicy and fresh made. The only downside was it was hard to eat but hardly the fault of getta burger themselves.
Humongous burgers and chips that were delicious. We definitely need to share the chips. The location is a little bit out of the way though. I would recommend if in the area.
We were driving near Carindale/Carina and decided to get some lunch. After thinking about a few places closer to the city, I remember bookmarking Getta Burger and decided to finally give it a try. I had been wanting to try for a while, but kept forgetting with so many places to try or return. We found the store and walked in. All the burgers read great, and in the end I panic ordered. My partner ordered the Getta BBQ Melt and I (panic) ordered the Getta Filthy, and a side of Fries. We decided to go eat them in a park as it was a nice day.
Oh my goodness, that is all I can say. Opening up the burger was a truly scary and exciting time. I am glad that no one was in the park with us, as I feel I would have been embarrassed with the amount of sauce and burger on my face while I was eating. There are not enough napkins in the world for trying to eat one of these burgers! The Filthy is just that, filthy! The burger had a very juicy beef patty, tender smoked beef brisket, maple bacon, cheese, pickles, onions, mustard, sauce, and then topped with fries. There was so much going on. You would think with all that it would be horrible! Well, you would be very mistaken. Everything worked so well together! My partners BBQ Melt was loaded with pulled pork. When they toast it, it looks small and flat until you look inside and see how much meat there is. It is surprising how much meat is there! The chips are also delicious, with the salt having a smoked flavour running through it. I am so glad that I panic ordered, as it was a adventure eating the Filthy Burger.
Getta Burger is a place that you need to try. Word of advise, if you get the Filthy, eat in a secluded area and bring plenty of napkins! But it is so worth it!
Been coming here for over a year, and it gets better and better and they've even spread to a few locations around Brisbane.
They have a weekly special which always gets me to break my diet, and they've become inventive with flavours. While offering classic tastes which bring me back all the time.
My favourite is the filthy fries, which is all the meats, sauces And cheese chucjed onto some of their delicious fries. This could be a great share meal if you accompany it will a burger, id recommend the Pulled Pork toastie, the simple Getta Cheese or a Getta Boss for that delicious brisket.
You get what you expect here, no nonsense, meat centred meals at a reasonable price with unreal quality. Highly recommend if you love American Style barbecue.
As most of my readers would have expected, I am a big fan of Pokemon Go, which has become very time consuming aspect of my life. Wanting to blog as well as hunt at the same time, my fellow hunters and I decided to grab a burger before continuing the hunt. Wanting to spend the evening at Wellington Point, we drove by Gettaburger at Carina and picked up some food on the way.
Up there with the best burgers around at the moment. I'm fully addicted to GettaBurger. My 2 fav burgers are the Getta BBC & Plan B. Both are outstanding with truck loads of flavour and are quite a big burger. My wife prefers a Getta Junior burger as it is a little smaller and she adds a few...
Saw this place last week when I drove past and saw a queue out front and thought this place must be good....
So went there and ordered some burgers... And they are pretty good.... To die for??? Naaaa
Good buns though, BBQ sauce is good and the meat patties are quality meat..
I tried the pulled beef... Yeah quite good
Maybe a burger with beetroot
Not cheap but worth a try and the chips are good too
Awesome burger, wife and I shared the pulled pork and the boss (beef brisket), both are great, particularly the pulled pork. Good mix of pork and slaw with morish BBQ sauce. Will be back for sure!
Very delicious burgers!! I have been to Getta burger several times. Chipolte bbq burger was the last awsome burger we got. Double cheese with pickles and bacon. Soooo good! The fries with smokie salt are also really good. Considering we are not usually chip ppl. We scoffed them down. We have had the loaded fries in the past, which were yummy. But a meal in itself, with sauce-a-rama & beef brisket.. heaven.. :)
Went here a few times last year and the burgers where great if you wanted to food coma for half a day. Large servings and a delicious amount of grease would make these guys a 5 until we went back last week for the first time in a long while. It seems they have had to tighten the belt in order to open their new stores. The meal was still great but the quantity was no longer there. Their fries where no longer smothered in the delightful smoked salt and we only got 1 pickle per burger. Please getta burger! Go back to the way you where doing things last year!!!
Filthy Fries are awesome. The pulled pork was great on the fries - the only thing I would suggest when they are making the pulled pork is to ease up on the vinegar, it can easily over power the entire thing.
Just shut up and go to Getta Burger and I promise you'll be happy! All of the burgers at Getta Burger are enormous and really bloody tasty. The Carina store is generally really busy and there is very minimal seating available, if you call and order your burger beforehand it'll be ready when you get there and then resist eating it until your home in front of the TV, perfect night!
Very good value for money. The burgers are genuinely huge! I ordered the Getta Junior, which ended up being a normal sized burger rather than a small burger which was kind of what I was expecting. I came with four friends, two of whom ordered the special of the day which included a 200g Bacon patty, a 200g beef patty and 4 different cheeses, and two of whom ordered the Getta pulled pork. I found the burger to be quite nice, but maybe lacking a little in the sauce department. My friends who ordered the burgers which weren't junior found the burgers a little overwhelming in size, but also really liked the taste. I thought that the burgers were a little bit more on the dirtier, greasier side of burgers...so while they were great, I don't think I'm going to come back in a big hurry. We also ordered 2 big Getta Filty Fries on the side, and they were a highlight of the meal, with the smoked brisket and pulled pork working perfectly with the BBQ sauce. I will say that maybe there was a little too much sauce, causing the fries to taste quite salty. All in all though, would definitely recommend if you're looking for that more American style greasy burger and fries!
Incredible.
Great staff, fresh tasty ingredients.
Nice decor however more room wouldn't go amiss.
Could not even make it through the whole burger.
One word - Stuffed!!!
Thanks
Excellent American style burgers and fries. Exceptionally busy at peak times. Order by phone ahead and pick it up works well. Had the pig out burger a few times now and this thing is big so make sure you're hungry. Very nice though! You can eat in but seating is limited.
Delicious and very filling! The filthy fries are decadent. The brisket burgers were popular with our family. I had the pulled pork burger, which was moist and delicious, with the perfect ratio of bun to meat.
Discovered this bad boy a few months ago and now every time i feel hungry all i can picture is filthy fries in and around me.
Getta pig out... i need you in my life.
Tip, Go to Westend if you want to sit down as other stores can be very busy!
These burgers are not a game, a truly worthy meal to have with the lads. The fries are also next level. Burgers are not amazing in taste but that's not the most important factor here. Well played.
Ordered the getta LOT burger ! And Flithy fries. There aren't many seats so takeaway is a must. The burgers were great! Good size for the price, tender patty, thick cheese, crunchy pickles.
Filthy fries were so yum! Delicious brisket so delicious but gets very saucy to the end, good portion though. Worth it. Come hungry
A few mates from work where telling me this is the best burger place around and after giving it a go they where right. I couldn't complain about any of the food my wife and I ordered but the staff seemed like it was a hassle to take the order.
On my way to football game thought I would call in here and tried their brisket burger and had to say it way very nice. Now I know where it is I am sure I will be back again.
Amazing. Just amazing. So generous, so tasty these burgers are off the chain. Hands down, one of the best burgers in Brisbane. Chip portions be sure to share with a friend there is so much in each serve. It's not 5 due to two things. A couple of times I have got far too much salt on my chips. And secondly, there isn't enough seating most of the time to comfortably dine in.
We tried a pulled pork burger and a beef brisket- both were delicious. Pork perhaps slightly dry but still very much enjoyed it. Will call and order next time as there is a bit of a wait if you order in store.
The burgers here are a good size and I love the seasoned fries. The filthy fries are like a meal on its own! Not too badly priced but be prepared to wait a long time for your order.
A - staff, N/A - atmosphere as I got it to go, A++ for the food! Have been trying to get here for so long now so the anticipation once i ordered was killing me! The getta "lot" was awesome. Epic flavors. Gf got the getta junior and she couldn't finish it. More for me :) but only a 4.5 as I was so keen on a shake to wash it all down. Glad this is local - I will be back.
Winning!. Loved the boss burger!
I've been hearing about Getta Burger for weeks if not months now, the photos on Instagram inspired some of the greatest food envy that I've ever experienced in my life! Those giant, towering burgers, packed full of juicy beef patties, pulled pork, lashings of barbecue sauce and cascading fries down! Be still my foodie heart! Not to mention the price tag! It was love! I knew I had to go here, which is why I dragged Mr J., here for our date before Valentine's. It's a little bit down the road from the Westfield Carindale, just watch out for a little collection of shops. There's not much else here besides Getta Burger, there's also a Blockbusters, Chinese takeaway shop and a laundromat. Look out for this sign! It's only a very small shop front, menu, drinks cabinet and that's about it! Here is their menu on Facebook! Aw yiss Mr J., got the Getta Lot, beef patty, double cheese, grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, that BBQ sauce, mustard pickles and mayo! He said it was absolutely delicious and would happily drive from Caboolture to Carindale just to eat that burger. When I told him they were making a Bridgeman Downs shop, he wasn't impressed. He said that it was still just as far for him to go there! So good I got the Getta Pig Out! Pulled pork, crispy bacon, double cheese, that BBQ sauce and topped with a side of fries. It was a revelation in burger, so much soft. tender, juicy pulled pork, that lovely crunchy bacon, those fries! I was in heaven and reluctantly shared a bit of my burger with Mr J. I wish it looked as good as it tasted Getta Burger Atmosphere: 5, your local burger place. Get your burger and scuttle back home. Service: 5, quick and efficient. Nothing spectacular. Food: 8, oh man, great burgers. Do want.
The place is off da hook ! I went for lunch yesterday with my bro he told me they had secret menu items .
I ended up with a special burger which was huge thick and juicey and some dirty dirty fries.
Freekin love it !!!!!!! see you next weekend Getta burger.
Getta Burger - Carindale, Brisbane. At first at this physical location, it was coffee place by day and burger joint by night. That was until they got really popular, and decided to open their doors for the latter during the lunch-time rush on weekends. Starting out from a food truck specialising in BBQ meats, these guys really know what they are doing.
With some forewarning, my dining buddy and I set out here a fair bit before the opening hours to make sure that some seating was secured. That is because the line gets really long, very fast. Otherwise, there will be plenty of people in front of you and you might have to wait for quite some time to get your order. My dining buddy calculated it really well, and there was none of that drama for either of us. Already there were people lining up, and within half an hour the line was out the door and onto the asphalt.
At Getta Burger, the menu is as simple and no-nonsense as you can get. It is basically about a dozen varieties of burgers - using a specialised range of ingredients, plus fries if you please and milkshakes for refreshment (otherwise the fridge is full of a range of drinks, mainly a variety of sodas and some juices; I managed to nick the glass water bottle). Everything is smoked, cooked and done straight on the premises, and will remind people of American barbecue with its style of meat and smokiness of the place. Vegetarians need not apply here. Even the barbecue sauce is specially made.
One thing that Getta Burger will not be winning any awards for is for their interior design. Heck, it is right next door to a laundromat of all places. It is really simple, with an artificial grass rug and only a few seats around the place - some of them outside would only be roughly called that. Therefore, for the most part it is really a takeaway eatery. The shop area is tiny, and even the shopping junction in which it is situated is small and rarely seems to see much passing trade except for Getta Burger when it is open.
The burger that I ordered was called "Getta Boss". On this burger was beef brisket, bacon, double cheese, pickles, jalapeno peppers and barbecue sauce. This could possibly be as good as a burger can get. One important thing is the sheer size, which is perfect for two hands. Second, and sometimes an overlooked aspect at many burger places, is a good quality, crusty bun to suit the juicy meats and dripping sauces. Thirdly is how well the ingredients went together, making the burger the sum of its parts.
The beef brisket was slow-cooked for over 12 hours until it was tender, juicy and succulent. On top of it was well cooked bacon, a generous portion of cheese which was on the point of melting and the occasional bits of tart and spicy flavours from the respective pickles and jalapeno peppers. Healthy and fresh it is not, but when it tasted that good there was not a reason to care about it.
Call it a secret item, my dining buddy could not see any signage for it but hearsay helps here. There is an option called "Filthy Fries" which proves to be really popular by all the restaurant goers who come here. This is where you get their usual fries then it is topped with: beef brisket, pulled pork, bacon, onion, and cheese, before being finished off with mustard, ranch sauce and barbecue sauce. These are some of the best fries that I have ever eaten, especially when it comes to the smothered variety. There was no way to eat this without getting another fork; it is messy and fun to eat. It helps get an idea for all of the meat being cooked in the kitchen and how good they taste. The beef was succulent, so was the pork and the mixture of crisp bacon, well-melted cheese and grilled onion balance it out more. The combination of sauces just works so well, giving the whole range of the palate an opportunity to shine.
All of this should make it clear why there is such a line-up for these burgers. Often saying that you will come back to a place is usually a throw-away line; it is as honest as can be this time around. Whether during their coffee hours or waiting until the burgers are being grilled, the staff are pleasant enough to draw a crowd. These burgers stand above the rest, as the team have managed to focus on what kind of burgers they want to create and thus make the best quality that they can. Any burger fan in town who has somehow not sought this one out, drop what you are doing and go find it as soon as you can. It is bloody brilliant.
Better than Justin Beiber.. This place is so good ,that the Beiber can go to the back of the line, and the line is long. Getta Burger is found in the back-blocks of Carindale and is very busy. You may have to be prepared to wait for a while, before you get your order, but the payoff is worth it.
My friend and I had respectively a cheese burger and the Getta Boss burger,(beef brisket, bacon, double cheese, pickles, jalepinos, 'that BBQ sauce") . Sensational!
We also ate the dirty fries, which I think are a secret item, as they are not on the menu. These fries smothered in cheese, bacon, pulled pork, and the special homemade BBQ sauce are the best composite fries dish I have ever tasted. I would go out of my way to come here , just for them.
This specialty burger joint has some of the finest burgers in Brisbane and I highly recommend them to all and sundry, but be warned it is extremely popular, so you may need to take a book. And Yes I would give up the Beiber for them.
LOVED IT. This was our first time and We got the pig out and the lot. It was really good. the pig out feed two people. The burgers are huge. The fries are yummy too.
Finally got to try their delicious burgers and my fiancé and I were not dissapointed! We got the Getta Lot and Getta pig out with a serve of fries on the side. Huge portions! Tasting so fresh and cheesy!! Lots of sauce. The seasoning on the fries is really good too! Can't wait until they open on the north side which is closer to us!
Wow best burger I've ever had will definitely be going back again getta burger is worth going to
Great value, awesome burgers. Too big to eat! And absolutely delicious. Chips are also huge portions and great. The shop also produces it's own BBQ sauce, made in carina
The best. Best burgers my husband and I have ever had and my husband in particular has become a die hard regular! A tip for the chicks - the junior burger is the perfect size. Love this place.
Burgers were amazing. Just tried this place out and I must say the burgers are the best I've ever had. They are classic burgers, full of yummy sauce, cheese, tender meat. Servings are huge, if you get chips (which are also really good) then it might be an idea to share as even the small size is probably for two people. Hubby had the pulled pork which was smokey and tender. I had the getta burger which was just beef, cheese, pickles, tomato and mayo but wow was it mouth watering.
Great Feast of meat. Getta has a solid burger range with some quality fries. This is the place I go when im hungry and want a big old mess of food it fills you up and it is delicious meat. Good vibes and friendly staff.
Delicious Burgers. I hesitantly went to Getta Burger tonight and the reason being is I read some bad reviews about it. All I can say to the disappointed is you must not have realistic expectations about it. I waited 30 mins to 40 mins for my order and it was delicious. Well worth the wait. I plan to make it a weekly visit it was that good. I had the beef brisket burger and it was perfectly cooked you could cut through the meat with a butter knife it was that tender. The smokiness was subtle but brilliant. Good food these days is hard to find I hope they do well.
Great little burger joint. Go hungry massive burgers. Enjoy
Great Burgers!. We had heard great things about this little burger joint in Carina on social media and from friends, we were passing on the way back from Westfield Carindale Shopping centre which is near by and thought we’d give it a try.
Wow! We were not disappointed! We both had different beef brisket burgers and shared some fries. Both burgers were excellent, big and tasty, the fries were also excellent; extremely tasty! They were also a big portion, one portion was more than enough for us to share.
Will definitely be going back for more!
Been there a few times and they just keep getting better and better, great staff, terrific location
See you soon.
Remarkable.. I'd been told that Getta Burger was worth a look so this evening while I was out and about I decided to check it out. I had the "Big Boss": smoked beef brisket, bacon, pickles, cheese, jalapeño peppers and Getta Burger's own BBQ sauce. I also had a side of fried with smoked salt. Let me say that I would travel across the city to have that burger again. It was sensational. Everything was right. The bun was perfect. The meat actually did melt in my mouth. The sweetness of the pickle balanced perfectly with the salt of the jalapeños. The sauce and cheese provided just enough moisture to make the burger succulent without being sloppy. It was hearty without being too greasy and the fries were excellent.
I'd describe the place as a burger bar, not really an eat in venue. Hopefully this changes as word of mouth spreads; I'd love to throw down a couple of burgers with a pint or two. If I had to pick a negative I would say that the drink fridge has no orange mother cans. I would seriously have had a mouthgasm if I could wash down one of these bad boys with a frosty surge.
Can't wait to get back and try the rest of the menu.
Best burger out give it a go you won't be sorry.
We ordered two Pig Out burgers and some fries, and oh my goodness I am so full, and I didn't come close to finishing it! The burgers are enormous, so when you're starving this is the place! The pulled pork was deliciously moist with a bit of chewiness which I loved and was covered in their own BBQ sauce. The bacon is tasty - maybe a fatty though. All up, loved it! Definitely for when we're so hungry and ready for a unhealthy feeeeed

Awesome!!!! Gigantic flavoursome burgers!
Mild mannered coffee shop by day, hunger fighting burger shop by night! Well not exactly but Getta Burger does share That Coffee Joint's shop opening for burgers from Midday Saturday and Sunday and from 4:30 pm Wed, Thur and Friday. The location is somewhat inconspicuous, right next to Carina Leagues just back from Carindale Westfield and nestled in a small "blink and you'll miss it" set of shops next to a laundromat. Making use of the amazing barbecue that it's sister business and staple Brisbane food truck That BBQ Joint pumps out Getta Burger has something for everyone. The range includes a pulled pork, bacon, cheese and fries monstrosity that is the Getta Pig Out to the Getta Boss with smoked brisket, cheese, jalapenos and bacon as well more traditional beef burgers like the Getta Burger or Getta Lot. Getta Pig Out w/ double bacon Getta Pulled Pork w/ bacon I haven't tried any of the "normal" beef patty burgers because it is nearly impossible to pass up the amazingly tasty brisket and pulled pork not to mention the bacon which is probably some of the best bacon I've ever tasted. That BBQ Sauce is what ties most of the burgers together and it really is a great sauce, not too sweet (like BBQ sauce tends to be) but with a good smokey flavour that compliments not drowns the meat. Getta Boss You can also ask for the burgers without a bun which is perfect for us as my girlfriend prefers not to have the bun however the bun is quite tasty, good size with sesame seeds, crisp outside and soft inside. If it isn't obvious from the photos the portions are huge and extremely generous for the price which ranges from $10 to $14 for the bigger burgers. The shop itself is quite small though so don't expect to eat there if it's smack bang in the lunch period and if it is during this time I'd suggest calling ahead and asking if there is a wait time as it can get busy. There has been some mention of Getta expanding to another shop, hopefully on the Northside which would reduce my t
This is where you can guarantee some satisfaction for your burger craving without having to chase a van around town...On this visit, Marc and I chose a burger each and a side of chili salt fries to share. ...the burgers are literally a challenge even to hold...My pick of the evening was The Getta Burger. It contained a large, juicy homemade pattie, salad and tomato relish. The first couple of bites were a bit dry because I only got tastes of bun and meat. When I managed to get sauce and salad all in one hit, it was a very tasty combination.
Take away family lunch during lockdown. Amazing flavours and bang-for-buck as always. Grilled chicken fillet was huge and lean with plenty of add-on jalapeños. Wife’s vegan burger was a hit too. Such consistent quality (from this original store and West End)!
Good burgers and service although the shop smelled a bit off. The burger was great but the chips had too much garlic on them. But the portions were very really good.
Great place for Carnivores. Love the filthy mix on it's own, no sauce, no bun just a great healthy protein hit. The staff at Carina are great as well, thanks!
Look it was a good burger, but bring back the old Getta burger. The patty was thicker there was this great big pickle in it. Please bring back the old way of making the burgers
