Had a delicious dinner - California roll, beef ramen, kids burger and chips and a delicious bubble tea. Thank you for a really nice night! Keen to try more items.
Grabbed a quick bite for my daughter. Got a lovely customer service. Very friendly. Our sushi was made fresh. We got the mini salmon rolls and my daughter loved it. She actually ate all of it which indicates that she loved it. Will be back.
Great food. Wagyu Beef was cooked to perfection, aburi salmon was made exactly as wanted and service was brilliant. Would suggest it to everyone I know.
Never liked sushi until I tried sushi from here a few years ago, then I was hooked. This chain is the only one I buy sushi from, Ashgrove and now Albany Creek (as I have moved) Love it!
Yum food! Only small amount of seating and probably best to takeaway. Nearly always great service although they are super busy during dinner and lunch hours. I find it much better to go at offpeak hours. All in all a great place for Japanese cuisine.
Cute little shop front with limited seating inside. Best for takeaways. Delicious sushi rolls and hot food. All made on the premises. They also do platters for functions. Park under Woolies.
This is a regular stop off for myself. Either on the way to work or dashing in, in between meetings. You always are greeted with smiley, friendly and efficient service which is brilliantly followed up by great fresh Sushi. Couldn't ask for more from a quick lunch stop.
Great value. Only one minor complaint is that sometimes there can be a bit of a wait but the Ginger Pork Belly is one of my favorite meals. Consistently delicious!
Nice little sushi place conveniently located next to the Woolworths shopping area on Ashgrove Avenue. We had the chicken karage and gingered pork belly. Generous portions. Both were really good!
Always love the sushi made fresh to order from here! Even as a pregnant woman, happily eat their raw fish sushi as it is of high quality.
To order sushi made fresh you have to order two of everything, but I am more than happy to do that with these guys 😊
Not a sushi fan but you can't go past their yaki udon and tsuru fried rice. A little slow but thst means it's cooked fresh so no complaints about that. Staff are really friendly and lovely and they're open until 9ish which is a miracle in Ashgrove.
Amazing fresh food - I adore this place including their staff, their produce and their flavour. I order the pan fried Gyoza and they're perfectly crispy and generously filled un-like most places. I also get their Japanese fried rice with egg and tofu and the sauce is on point and a fantastic size serving! Couldn't get any better :)
Delicious sushi, great variety, consistent quality!. I dont live too close unfortunately so I get sushi from Tsuru every few months when I have the opportunity. It has always been delicious and I have never been disappointed. There menu has a lot of options to choose from and even as a regular you wouldn't get bored of it.
7/10. The chicken katsu was not good at all, quite soggy to be honest but the pork belly salad made up for it. Nice, tender and well flavoured meat and plenty of it in the salad. The sushi is good, not the best I've ever had but no way bad.
Crunchy chicken roll and terriyaki chicken salad with avo are always great!
Really nice, fresh and made to order sushi. Huge variety! I'm quite impressed! The staff were friendly and happy to help. Great to see a business where staff seem pleased to see you :)
FAVOURITE!!. I am in love with Tsuru! Sushi is always fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable and staff are very friendly! My favourite sushi restaurant in Brisbane (I love it so much i drive from Springfield to Ashgrove just for sushi) :)
One of the best. If only Sushi was ready earlier in the day....although they do make to order before stocking the cabinet. The Tuna is super fresh and flavoured devoid of sinew, soft shell crab are great and the rice cooked spot on.
Restaurant quality Sushis at Take Away prices!
Honestly my favorite fast food restaurant in the world! Tsuru has the most amazing quality of sushi I have ever had.
Best Sushi in the West. Easily my favourite place for sushi - it's not fast food, like most other sushi joints, but it's always worth the wait. Plus, it' s not like you wait any longer than you would at a cafe. The food is always fresh - the meat's warm and the rice is cold, and it's delicious.
Great sushi - always fresh and delicious. The sashimi salad is also delicious. Service can be slow and you often have to ring a few times before they pick up to order takeaway- luckily the food makes it worthwhile and the staff are friendly :)
I love love love this place. The food stands up as the best I've had. So glad I live nearby
Great sushi & coffee, service is so slow it really let's them down.
Great Japanese!. Try the soft shell crab sushi with wasabi, nice and hot!
Tasty Tsuru Sushi. Can't walk past this Sushi cafe without stopping to pick some up! Fresh and very tasty. LOVE the Spicy Garlic tofu! Sure way to get the kids to behave in the supermarket is to promise them a Tsuru Sushi as a treat on the way home!!
Tsuper Tsushi. I have to admit that when Tsuru first announced to the Ashgrove area that they would be occupying one of the newly constructed hole-in-the-wall lots beside the new mega-Woolies I was skeptical. I expected stock standard average quality sushi and possibly a small range of OK fresh juices or bubble tea, with impossibly short opening hours. How wrong I was.
The sushi at Tsuru is definitely a highlight, however my heart was won by the Tempura Udon Noodle soup and the entree item of Takoyaki (Octopus) balls which burst in your mouth with flavour. Quite a broad range of sushi, all of which is quality, tasty and conveniently available made fresh well into the evening. Ordering sushi freshly made at dinner time means purchasing two rolls, however this is both a good and a bad thing: excellent for sharing, but pure greed for a single! Good value pricing for the quality of the food and ingredients.
Tsuru delivers above and beyond what one might expect at a glance!
5 stars. BEST SUSHI in Brisbane
Beats sushi train anyday. For a price similar to the average sushi train you get much fresher sushi rolls, and generous portion for the rice dishes. Small and basic set up means that it is not suitable for a large group, but the place is perfect for grabbing a quick, casual, good quality Jap meal.
Great quality. A regular lunch favourite of ours - knowing that the consistency in quality will always be high, and the taste is close to the best in Brisbane
Sushi for Functions. We got a great tray of 100pieces of sushi from here. Tasted good with very few left overs.
LOVE IT. I recently moved away from this area and I will still drive across town to eat here once per week. I cannot say enough nice things about Tsuru!
PERFECT. They have a great option of asking for freshly made sushi even when the one you want is in the display case. The sushi is perfection, great quality and great prices. They have other options than the normal sushi rolls and I would definitely recommend the crunchy chicken roll. This is without a doubt the best sushi in ashgrove and the gap.

Yes.. Best Gyoza (handmade) and soft shell crab sushi. Went for the first time recently and intend to go back and work my way through the menu.
More than meets the eye. You could be forgiven for not expecting much from Tsuru. Hell, you could be forgiven for walking straight past the place, it's small and understated, but the food packs the punch you want.
I'm currently making my way through the menu; but I find it incredibly difficult to not order the soft shell crab sushi - it is THAT good. The boiled gyoza are pretty great (though maybe a tiny bit pricey) while curry wise I've only had a katsu and it was pretty delicious, though nothing too special.
I can't wait to explore this menu more in the future. Thought I can also see myself eating a hell of a lot more soft shell crab in the future!
Sushi cafe - delight. Went to Tsuru after recommendation in urbanspoon and was not disappointed with the quality of the sushi. The sushi is also generous in portions too. Small cafe take away that was very popular. Three small tables and a bench with stools but most people had called ahead with their order and then picked up quickly. They will make any sushi and meals to go from the takeaway menu. So worth a visit. Planning to call ahead on the way home and pick up some sushi for a fresh quick dinner. A great find and worth a visit.
