I've been going here for nearly 10 years, it has changed a bit and isn't quite as good (notably the roti) but most dishes are still pretty decent (BBQ options, Lemak, beef noodle soup and fried noodles). It's just as cheap as a food court but it is a lot more comfortable. I'll still go here from time to time.
Ordered ipoh hor fun and it taste like home but the serving portion is really big and the noodles they used is kinda like chee cheong fun noodles. Nasi lemak is nice too as it comes with beef rendang and curry chicken which were both tender. Sambal was really tasty nonetheless
Fast and efficient service but the food was lacking in flavour. The roti wasn't flaky as expected and the Mie Goreng was very mild. This place is probably very busy work days at lunch but on Sunday at lunch time we practically had the place to ourselves.
In a hurry then this might do but there are much better options nearby if you have the time.
Attentive staff and delicious food. I had Ipoh Chicken soup, simple and classic flavours. Would recommend it. The serves are quite large also.
This place has the best char kway teow ever, just like i had it 35 years ago in Penang. Top ingredients, dry and tasty beyond description. A time traveller dish.
Ate here recently for the first time since it was Little Singapore, a little hesitant after seeing the reviews but I left happy. It’s nothing fancy or gourmet but it’s a good meal that’s cheap and fast. The host who seated us was lovely and really took care of us. To start we got some vegetarian spring rolls we got to share. I think they were full of potato and corn so they were quite sweet and mushy, I much prefer them when they’re full of cabbage, glass noodles, mushroom etc. so I wouldn’t order those again. For our mains my friend ordered a mi goreng (extra spicy) and it did not disappoint; usually when you ask for it hotter it still isn’t satisfactory but this was full of fresh chilli, just the right amount, and the dish was served piping hot. I got the bbq pork and duck noodles which were really tasty, the only let down was that it said spicy on the menu which it was not. In the picture there was a chilli sambal on top of the dish but the accompanying sauce that came out with it was a sweet, almost plum tasting sauce. I think this place is good and could be great with a few improvements; I would definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.
Little Singapore was always one of our favorites in Brisbane and the name change hasn't changed how great the food is. The fried wanton noodle soup is so hard to pass up, and the braised minced pork with short noodles is hearty and delicious (and massive!) The staff are lovely, and the food arrived quickly even though the place was packed on a Friday night
This used to be called Little Singapore but I was assured their chefs have not changed with the new name / management. It's my local place for a quick and healthy Asian meal. I usually order the Hainanese Chicken w Rice, tomato sauce with egg and chicken or their Yeong Chau Fried Rice. I am sensitive to MSG so I am wary of most Asian places, but I have found I do not have any reactions to the food here. I live close by and order here 2-3 times a week. I can't speak for the other items on the menu but the ones I've listed above are always very good.
The place has changed since ownership has switched. The great food, generous portion sizes and friendly staff make it a nice place to stop for lunch. I've tried a number of their dishes and while their satay is nice I do love the Laksa; a must try!
Malacca is a bit hidden but definitely make your way to this restaurant. New owners than before and they have really made some of the dishes their own (better quality) and came up with some unique drinks. Food comes out pretty fast and service there is great!
I normally order the take away and the service is fast, like average only cuz me around 8-10mins.The food is good tho and the price is cheaper, compared with other Malaysian restaurants around the city.Good food with a bargain price, just go for it and it worth a try.
I have come this restaurant and I saw a handsome waiter and he is very nice good service I will come back again.I have come this restaurant and I saw a handsome waiter and he is very nice good service I will come back again.
This restaurant is very big and spacious. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Some Malaysian restaurants in the city are quite expensive but I find that Malacca prices are cheaper with bigger food portions. I've tried the Hainanese Chicken Rice and Satay Chicken with Rice and both were very delicious. In particular, the satay chicken meat was very tender especially in comparison to other Malaysian restaurants.
The food was outstanding. I was very pleased the portion sizes in comparison to the prices. Staff was friendly and efficient. The food came out quickly. All in all a great place. 5/5
The food was amazing and delicious and for the price the food was in huge portions and service was very nice. Have been here before and wasn't satisfied, but the revamp was a lot better and exquisite.
Good service! Very delicious! I have ordered the noodles and it makes me remind the taste of my mother's cook. It is pretty nice. I strongly recommend everyone try to have it.
Yummy smoothies and fried rice. Friendly staff and helpful service. Definitely will come back and try another dishes. Very impressed. You won't regret if you prefer Asian food.
First time been here. The food is delicious and serviced quickly. It offers a wide range of Asian food. My friends and I have a wonderful time here. I would definitely recommend it.
Very good. Perfect. Good customer service. You will regret if you won't come here. You should choose as your first choice. If you are an Asian or you prefer Asian food, it's a good choice.
Good place, good location, nice customer service, a chill spot, good prices, good amount of food given and served quickly 💖💖💖💖💖😋😋😋❤️❤️
Good customer service, food comes by quickly, nice and chill place to hang out with friends! Good food, good location, not too crowded 😝💖🎉
What a nice surprise!!
We are in love with Roti Place, was our first time trying some Malaysian food and we loved it.
We've here twice already, the first week we tried the Nasi Lemak, some rotis and Mi goreng I think, while we're eating we saw this huge bowls going to different tables but we're already full.☺️ So we decided to come back and try their soup and OMG I was shocked at how good it was the Combination Laksa!! (now one of my favorite dishes) the Nasi Goreng was good too but the soup was the best.
The staff is gentle and young.
I really recommend this place, give it a try!!
Thanks Roti Place.
Roti with curry was fabulous. I even drank the curry soup.
Char Kuey Teow was tasty. There were big prawns and sea food in there. Good amount of ingredients.
The table was nice and clean. Our meals came with a timely manner.
Customer service was good. Will definitely come back if I visit Brisbane again.
One thing not as good, the tea pot is quite small. it says it’s for a person, I got maybe 2-3 cups from it, that’s it. Other than that, all is good.
Good location in the middle of the city, parking is horrendous but it is close to Myer centre. This place definitely gives off chic Malaysian vibes. They have a good menu and definitely tasty food. It’s not the best of the best Malaysian food there is but for what they are and what it’s worth, they ticked every Malaysian box. Also, your nostrils would be met with familiar Malaysian aromatics as you enter this joint. Highly recommend the crab dishes given the price point!
What a pleasant experience; speedy service, great meals, great value, and great taste. Given it was Friday lunch time, I was pleasantly surprised about the amount of staff attending to patrons. I enjoyed Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken; yummy. Will go there again!
Great service from Hazel, who was really lovely! Food was great as usual – I especially love the sweet roti. Hazel recommended the salty egg chicken and it ended up being my favourite main.
