We’ve walked past this Asian Institution for years now, and finally had an early dinner with the two kids.
Service was quick and efficient.
We had the Pho Bo, Vego spring rolls and tofu vege stir fry.
The spring rolls and tofu stir fry were good and basic ( we had two small kids after all). The Beef Pho was also good and tasty, with paper thin slices of beef and a well balanced soup.
I would have liked a dish of bean sprouts and chilli on the side to help balance the soup to my taste though.
The kids even tucked in to my leftover Pho.
It was a good dining experience, with tasty, authentic food and good prices.
The service was really good and I’d applaud the staff.
The atmosphere is good and the dish is decent. Price is also reasonable. The staff members are friendly. I want to visit there and try again.
This is another of those places I've walked by a dozen times and not stopped. Tonight decided to stop in and test some Sichuan chicken. The service was quick and friendly. The meal arrived about five minutes later. The spicy chicken was awesome with the lips burning, the noise watering, and the flavour not outdone by the chili. A mild version is available too. A great experience.
I would suggest a booking of you plan on going later in the week. They are usually busy.
Probably driven past this place a million times and finally got to try it. On a lunch break so I got takeaway.
They had cheap lunch specials like crispy chicken with fried rice and grilled chicken with sticky rice for $10- they let me have grilled chicken with fried rice, so big points for flexibility with a special.
Chicken was well marinated and the fried rice was decent- really good for the price. There was a big side salad which was a nice surprise.
Staff were lovely and friendly- can't wait to try this place again
I've been here a long time ago. This place is still great. High-quality food, attentive wait staff and a nice setting. For simplicity sake, we ordered the banquet and it didn't disappoint. The food was incredibly tasty, served hot and fresh.
I've dined here with my family several times. As a matter of fact this place has become our home away from home. My kids love the flaming rips. My wife loves the Beef Pho soup which I like too. However, Morton Bay bugs is my favorite.
The general feel and atmosphere is great. The stuff are really family oriented. They service with great smiles.
Dined here for lunch with a friend on Thursday. We had a nice big jug of cold water with a lime slice in it - sometimes it's the small things that I really enjoy! They have a few options for lunch dining. I ordered the spring roll vermiccili salad for $9.50 which tasted good. Nice and reliable meal.
A great place for groups with a good atmosphere and some really quality food. Probably the pick of Asian restaurants in West End with good sized banquets.
This renowned restaurant has been trading over twenty years in West End. I fell in love with it since the first visit. I appreciate its consistent standard of food quality and service. They continuously upgrade the ambient and serve the local with a mixed of Chinese and Vietnamese style dishes. Compare to its competitor across the road, definitely this restaurant is at another level.
Me and my colleagues love going her for their Pho beef noodle soup at lunch time. But we realise that their portion is getting smaller and smaller. Unlike any other Vietnamese restaurant we've been, this place serves quite healthy foods as in can't feel too much msg, fish sauce etc which is good! Just what we are after.
I ordered dim sum entree and chicken buhn for main. Both dishes were fairly good. Not the best Viet food I have ever had, by not the worst either. Service was ok, the restaurant wasn't busy though. Overall an ok experience, and I would return.
Great night. I've been eating here on and off for the last 13 years. Always an enjoyable meal. Although they seemed busy on a Saturday night the service was prompt and food good. Fried rice was awesome and the lemon grass chicken hit the spot! Will be back!
Liked it, worth going back. Liked the food, big portions. Nothing extraordinary to rave on about though. There's other Asian places that are better and they have car park.
In saying that, it was not horrible so I will give it another try when in the area as I love Asian food.
Ok so guys. This place makes the best vermicelli salad with pork rib and spring rolls - it is a must. Absolutely adore this place - I take everyone who visits my city for a bowl of noodle salad and you really need to try the rib and spring roll together and plenty of dressing! Divine!
Excellent , come back again
Yum. Fantastic culinary delight. Food really good and staff really good too. We're going back again soon.
A regular. Fabulous, best Chinese in Brisbane I have found
We had the lunch banquet. Food was nice, though not adventurous or at all spicy. service was also good.
Great place. This place is one our favourite restaurants for my wife and myself.
The service is fast and friendly with a smile.
The prices are very modest and the servings plentiful.
And most importantly the food is always delicious.
We go here often and all of our friends that we've introduced to this place are fans now too.
One of my absolute favorite Thai restaurants. Usually dine early and they were happy to let me and my partner in 15 mins early and adjusted the price of one of their entrees to four servings so we could share rather than ordering 2. Always fantastic service and food regardless of dine in or takeaway and very reasonably priced.
Tasty. Really like the sugar cane prawns (roll your own). Ginger seafood dish was very tasty, on the downside squid was tough. I found it a tad cool sitting in the 'garden' area at this time of year but other diners didn't seem fazed.
Cheap and cheerful. Good service, tasty food, BYO, kiddy friendly, easy parking.
Good for cheap eats. Much like the last review, we went here as a spontaneous choice and also got the satay beef and garlic pepper chicken. I really wasn't fussed on the chicken, but loved the satay.
We got a dim sim starter as well, and that was delicious.
No real complaints, the service was fantastic, the staff were lovely, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was cheap with good portion sizes. Nothing spectacular, but nothing to get super excited about either.
Saturday Night Change. A last minute decision to go out for dinner on Saturday night found us walking the streets at West End...after a bit of a look and lots of menu reading my partner and I decided on West End Garden. The entree of Curry Puffs were hot and tasty and the mains of Chicken and Cashew Nut and Satay Beef were exactly as we had expected...hot, tasty and satisfying. The service was attentive and friendly and the meals were brought out in a timely manner. We were seated outside where the atmosphere was simple but nice. This will be on our list to visit again.
Good Chinese, not so much Vietnamese. Dined with a large group last night and we had the banquet which was good value for money. The servings were very generous! I was hoping for some lovely fresh Vietnamese food but our banquet dishes were more standard Chinese fare, but everything tasted great.
Our families fav Chinese takeaway. This restaurant is my families favorite place to get a Chinese takeaway. we have been to many others in and around the west end area and we keep coming back for more!
Fresh and tasty couldn't ask for better service and always with a smile completely warm and inviting place can't wait to go again
Excellent value. A regular haunt with out work day lunch crew, West End Garden never fails to deliver a cheap and cheerful lunch. Lunch menu is particularly good value, but full menu on offer if you prefer. I love their lemongrass beef rice vermicilli salad!! It's not flash decor, but it's good honest yummy food.
Great food, the spicy calamari is by far a specialty. The banquet isn't as good value as Viet Ho across the road.
AMAZING! Food and service was fantastic. Had pho and a wok dish which were beautifully made. Great place for dinner highly recommended.
The food was pretty good and service was reasonable. Only complaint they got our order wrong but we stuck with it to try something different. Wouldn't recommend the Orange Chicken.
We found this gem by accident, a pleasant accident.
The atmosphere is relaxing, calming and inviting with clean tables and ambient lighting.
My husband immediately decided he would try the Flaming Ribs, while I selected the Thai style seafood. Both dishes were very tasty and good serving sizes.
Service was friendly and fast, despite it clearly being a popular little venue.
Amazing Chinese and Vietnamese food. This family run restaurant has been loved by West End locals for may years and never disappoints. Fabulous vietnamese roast duck and vietnamese rice noodle salads just to name a few. The chinese flaming pork ribs is exceptional.
Went in last minute with a friend last night! Staff were very nice, food delicious! I’ll be coming back very soon! This place is so amazingly good!
