The restaurant is a bit hard to find. We went for a quick dinner on Thursday night. Waitresses are friendly, and food is tasty. We ordered fry chicken, lemongrass calamari and char cheese. Flavor is good, the only issue is the portion of our Fry chicken. It is like a fry chicken strip salad, with tiny pieces chicken on the top. Otherwise fabulous meal.

Sometimes I struggle to translate what's on the menu. I wasn't sure what to get and went with the fish tacos. I expected I wouldn't enjoy them but not much else appealed except from the share menu. Anyway turned out the fish tacos were great. Turned out its worth branching out and trying something completely new. I guess I would describe the menu as a little innovative ... Not totally out there but an interesting twist on the regular dishes. Went with a large group and everyone was happy with their meals. Limited drinks options though. They seem to only stock boutique or non regular brands. Ok for some.

Cool little laneway cafe - nice wine list and some interesting food options. I had the open steak sandwich which was pretty nice, albeit very small. Good place for a date!

Last week we were invited to The Florist Kitchen & Wine Bar which is located at Turbot Street, Brisbane which is where all the law courts and firms are located at. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner which is very convenient for the workers there. There is also a full bar available as well as a live entertainment which is great for the workers to wind down after a long day at work. They do not only sell food, but from the name of their restaurant, I think that you can tell that they also sell flowers which was very interesting.

We found the Florist Kitchen + Wine Bar tucked away on Turbot St, near the Brisbane courts and 400 George St precinct, and were instantly drawn in by the fairy lights, modern romantic interiors and, let's be honest, the premise of it being a "wine bar". We opted to sample a number of share dishes as our main meal and boy are we glad we did! We honestly couldn't fault a single thing we tried and were truly blown away by how flavoursome, well balanced and thought out the dishes were. Plus, the share plate menu is extensive and features a dedicated vegetarian section. Dishes we tried included: crispy fried chicken with tahini mayo, sprout salad and toasted sesame seeds, beef brisket sliders with sriracha mayo and slaw, duck pancakes with hoisin sauce and herbs, tamarind glazed pork belly with shoot salad and crackle crumbs and three-cheese mac n cheese balls with tomato sugo. Almost impossible to pick a favourite, but the pork belly and duck pancakes were exceptionally good. We washed it all down with a Bahamas Lychee and Ederflower Collins, which were both super refreshing, served tall and not overly sweet (just how we like it). Overall we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we hope to get back soon to try more!

Wow absolutely wow!! Me and my family had such a lovely time at this beautiful restaurant. We felt so at home here. It has a nice warm cosy feel with brillaint food and awesome drinks on offer.

I loved the variety of options they had on their menu. It had alot of my favourite foods which l got carried away ordering. My kids really enjoyed the crispy chips and crispy fried chicken. The coating on the chicken was soo delicious and it was a great start. Also tried the Lemongrass calamari which was so light and refreshing but what won my husband over was the jalapeno poppers with raspberry coulis. That coulis was soo amazing and so different. Brilliant!

Of course we couldnt go past the T Bone Steak. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned soo well. Such a stunning dish and a must try.

Our night finished on a high with some really yummy desserts. Kids of course loved the Ice cream cookie sandwich and it came with fresh strawberries and blueberries and we enjoyed the Coconut Panna Cotta. Great way to finish our night. Hats off to the chef.

After a long day in the office (for my girlfriend, anyway) we decided to take ourselves out to a little inner-city dining treat. We were having a craving for a nice steak, and the T-bone on the menu sounded very promising 😊. . List:ºBerry MuleºBotanical CrushºBahamas Lychee.

Taking up the entire corner of the ground floor of the Santos Building, The Florist Kitchen & Wine Bar is perhaps the perfect Insta-spot with its pretty pink feature wall adorned with old-school black & white photos. Given that it was an unseasonably hot day, we ordered some fresh juices to cool down. The lychee, apple & fresh strawberries ($6.90) is a delicious option if you are in the mood for something non-alcoholic. Lunch here can be a short or long affair depending on what you desire, as the ‘street food’ section of the menu offers dishes like fish tacos ($15) and an open steak sandwich with salad ($17) for an express lunch, or if you prefer something fancier, then you are spoilt with options like T-bone steak with béarnaise sauce, duck fat potatoes and seasonal vegetables ($65) (designed to be shared) and chicken & cream pumpkin fettuccini ($32).

Phuong Tran and I are invited to lunch here and we are greeted by Owner Tamlin. Walking to our table, I like the warm feel of this attractive restaurant. Phuong’s Passionfruit Margarita ($17) and my Mango Smoothie ($6) are refreshing. We peruse the interesting Lunch Menu and order three Share Plates and one Main.
*Lemongrass Calamari ($16.50) is tossed through a fresh fennel chilli salad. Perfectly grilled, this Calamari salad is exceptional. Rating: Perfect 5

*Sauteed Tiger Prawns ($18.50) is served with roast potatoes, tomatoes and herbs. These prawns are fresh, nicely grilled and tasty, however, the serving size is a tad small for the price. Larger prawns would have improved my scoring. Rating: 4

*Belly Pork Baos ($16.50) is tender roast belly pork garnished with pickled vegetables and herbs atop two freshly steamed baos. Again, an exceptional dish. Rating: Perfect 5

*Eye Fillet ($39) comes with crispy polenta chips, mango salsa and corn purée. Grilled medium-rare, this quality steak is tender and delicious. Rating: 4.5

Credit to Chef Dave and his creative team for our beautifully presented and delicious meals. Thank you to Tamlin for your hospitality and Dallas for your friendly service. Overall rating for this meal is 4.5! Highly recommended!

Having not worked at the courts for quite a few years now, it is now all the way at the other end of town from my current workplace. As such, I've not been able to fully explore the legal precinct of Brisbane as much as I would have liked to, especially the evolution of the food options in the area. One such restaurant which I didn't get to try when I used to work nearby is The Florist Kitchen and Wine Bar, situated along Turbot Street, near the Commonwealth Law Courts. I was lucky enough to receive an invite last week to try it out, so we headed there for a quick Wednesday night dinner after work.

Great menu good service and the charcuterie platter a standout. The calamari salad a must light sensitively treated and piquant. Tank tanked - the Florist is blooming. Don’t hesitate.

Went there a couple of weeks ago with a mate, for lunch. Good food. Quick meal delivery. Good, attentive service. It's the new kid on the block. Give it a go.
