Review Dicki’s - Brisbane

Ashleigh Stam
Excellent service with extensive menu. I loved that there were lots of savoury breakfast options. The food was presented beautifully and so was the table set up. Meals are generous portions. I ordered the matcha latte but it just tasted like milk without the matcha which was disappointing. The breakfast burrito was delicious and packed with flavour. The salsa on the side really complemented the burrito. The mushroom arancini balls were so creamy and flavourful paired with the truffle aioli. I shared the pistachio croissant for dessert and it was divine.

Mind-blowing vegan food, I'm not fully vegan but really appreciate the skill required to make vegetarian food taste great. I'm reconsidering whether every other 5 star review I gave is too high as this would be six stars. World class 🌏

Cute joint. There are more seating inside. Parking maybe tough but worth it. Cute menu and super friendly and energetic staffs. Green richness were yummy too.

Love the food, it's so yummy and flavoursome. Friendly and attentive staff. One of my favorite vegan/plant based Cafes. I'd rcommend the Duck Baos and the mince and beans, both are delicious.
I Travel For Vegan Food
(Edited to reflect they are 100% vegan and don't have dairy milk) Dicki’s at New Farm is a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon eating delicious vegan food. They serve some classic comfort food like burgers and waffles. I especially love the breakfast burrito which is loaded with delicious ingredients. Another great choice is the build your own baos. The sticky duck included has a chewy texture, which is great with the soft fluffy baos. Dessert is also great. Other than the pastries and cakes on display at the cabinet, they also serve waffles and smoothies. Their waffle has great soft texture. The flavour changes regularly.

Tofu eggs had consistency of regular eggs which was surprising. Peanut butter smoothies was delicious, undeniabley.

Booking process was nice and easy. Staff were polite and professional. The service could be a bit faster... My iced long black too 40 mins. Looks like it was forgotten. Food also took a long while to arrive. Food was good and tasty but nothing exceptional. Mushroom arancini balls were amazing. All in all it was a good experience so would definitely go back but wasn't an exceptional 5 star experience for us as such. Still good enough to visit again. Thanks for having us.

Fabulous range of dishes. The best coffee in New Farm. The tofu scramble is amazing. Excellent specials and cakes. Friendly staff and table service. A great, relaxed place to catch up with friends. Dog-friendly! 🐶

Absolutely loved it here. Such a cute eating space and the staff were really friendly.
Everything we ordered was so delicious and just bursting with flavour. The food just married with everything on the plate and you just could not stop eating!
Was so full afterward but so worth it! Definitely want to go back to try their other dishes.
Hands down my favourite vegan breakfast lunch place in Brisbane.
It was a headache to think about where should I have my vegetarian brekky this morning for the Chinese New Year. All of the sudden, the impressive experience of this café recalled my memory so gave it a go.
Love its early opened trading hour. Arrived at 7:00am this morning and it was already half occupied inside and outside. Planning to have the Tofu Bao again but the almond croissant sitting inside the cabinet drew my attention so ordered one of them to go with my flat white. Well, service is very friendly and sincere. Food and beverage are no doubt above average standard; particularly the croissant, which should be the most perfectly warm up almond croissant that I had. Thumb-up!
Rating 4.5/5

10 months ago Rating 4.5/5
Bookmarked this vegan cafe after I read Diana’s review. Explored this morning for my vegetarian brekkie. Walked in before 7:00am and they are ready to serve me the Crispy Tofu Bao so gave it a go and a cup of flat white. Took a seat inside the cafe, where provides a cozy vibe for me to enjoy my meal. Coffee came first with very nice presentation and the first sip won my appreciation in terms of strength and smoothness. Next came the plate of bao and it was presented like an artwork. Ingredients included deep fried tofu, coriander, cucumber, shredded carrots and satay sauce and the dish was accompanied with sweet & sour sauce. Loved the crunchy feeling from the tofu and the refreshing feeling from the vegetables. Very good production and their friendly service deserved thumb-up too! Highly recommended.

Lovely cafe. Coffee was great, had the smashed avocado toast with macadamia fetta - very nice. I love that this place is table service, it really sets it apart from some of the other cafes in the area. I will definitely be back.

Came here for brunch today with my partner and we were not disappointed. The waffles were so amazing with really nice ice cream. Also shared the big breakfast which had so many flavours and super fresh. Can’t wait to come back and try more options
Vegan cafe you say?! Despite my confession that my partner and I are both meat eaters, Justina greeted us to Dicki’s Cafe in New Farm with warm open arms. Location, ambiance & service. Dicki’s Cafe is located on Brunswick Street in New Farm, at the former site of (much beloved) Pablo. Justina explained that they have only been open for three months, and the menu was plant-based vegan but designed to be accessible to all types of eaters.

Saw this little cafe on Facebook thought I’d check it out. Was blown away by the creative menu! Great location next to new farm park, great service, good coffee and awesome food. Avo on toast is a classic and was great. Nurture bowl is a must! So healthy and filling and absolutely stunning visually. Seats were mildly uncomfortable and tables were a bit wobbly but otherwise s lovley cafe.

Little cafe on Brunswick, very clean and nice set up. Coffee was OK. I ordered an almond croissant which looked delicious but unfortunately was not fresh. Service was fast and polite.

Today I finally had the pleasure of visiting this coffe shop which I was trying to do since their opening.

I ordered a dirty chai and the tofu scrambled with extra tomatoes.

the dirty chai was served impressively quick and had a creamy texture but the coffee overpowered the drink and I couldn't get much of the chai flavour. would rate it a 4 out of 5.

The scrambled tofu was different from the others I've had before, their tofu was harder and in bigger pieces which makes it a bit different in texture from scrambled eggs (Not that it's a bad thing, it's just different). I really enjoyed the flavours on this dish and it had vibrant colours and all the items worked really week with each other. Would rate it a 5 out of 5.

Overall I must say it was better than I was expecting and I'll definitely be back.

I had read about Dicki's in the paper & decided to try the coffee & the blueberry muffins. The place was buzzing when I arrived so I decided to get takeaway as I didn't want to wait for a seat. The blueberry muffin was slightly doughy & very sweet, but still enjoyable, liked the sticky top. Coffee was quite good, nice flavor, creamy texture, but never tastes the same to me in a takeaway cup. I ordered an extra shot & it was just strong enough for my taste

I am judging this cafe on their coffee and juices only.

A fantastic environment, nicely appointed, very vibrant colours and super friendly staff. I had the green smoothie and cleansing juice both were fantastic. I also had a soy flat white which was perfect. I'll be back for sure!
